we watch the season pull up its own stage -- and catch the last weekend of the last week.
Welcome to Amherst, Vermont. It's your classic ski town, slower, obviously,
in the summer than in the winter, and full of people you'll probably kiss
goodbye at the end of the ski season and never see again. Most people
that attend don't care. I mean, there are too many different sorts moving
through Vermont from town to town, just looking for that one perfect black
diamond run, to stay here. And where's here, you want to know? Here is
the Amherst ski resort.
before the gold and the glimmer have been erased
another sun soaked season fades away. you have stolen my heart.
crash the best one of the best ones. clear liquor and cloudy eyed.
Recently, though, the town started a program that has changed almost
everything. See, we do have a really good school system up here in
Amherst. They decided that maybe it would be beneficial to take kids
excelling in their educational institutions--I'm quoting now--and bring
them up here to ski and to attend school. We're talking kids from all
around the country, here. This town has never seen anything that
exciting, and they're going to be boarded at the resort.
and from the ballroom floor we are in celebration. one good
stretch before a hibernation. our dreams assured and we all will sleep
well, we'll sleep well. you have stolen my, you have stolen my heart.
We're bound to meet and we're bound to clash. Don't you think that all
walls we put up have to be burned down sometime? Why not now, when
the world seem to be shifting and, just maybe, we're realizing things
about ourselves that we never realized before? You can feel so alone
in a crowded room, but you can also find yourself in the middle of
absolute chaos. You can't have love without hatred, and we're about
to discover that this will mean the world in the midst of all our new
connections. What, exactly, do these new kids mean to Amherst?
