Over thirty millennia has passed since the Gods first forged Euleos and suffered their defeat at the hands of Nietherus. So much has happened on the world…
Literally ripped apart by the wars that have ravaged the surface, the beings inhabiting Euleos struggle to survive. To counter the effects of the rip in dimensional planes, a combination of magic and technology was built to seal off the portal and feed off its immense energies. Atop this marvel came to sit a city, a beacon of hope to the beings who had suffered during the long years of war. And so Manav came to be a sign of peace and victory for all of Euleos.
If one thing is constant in the world, it is that the winds of change are always blowing strong. There is no such thing as eternal peace. Beings are created flawed, and further pervert themselves with new sins. The blood of the Dark Princess flowed in their veins.
Sitting on their thrones ruling over their utopia, the Akell fell into corruption. The same powers that had saved Euleos from destruction had returned taking on a new form. Changing the will of the once noble Akell, the power of the Aki-Dhu began to corrupt them. Using their power, they created their own private military to quell any who might begin to suspect anything. Obviously, any changes were for the good of Manav and all Euleos.
But these changes did not go unnoticed. Half-breed children from Akell and Berenan relationships broke off and built a free city to escape the corruption plaguing Manav. Like several others, they saw what was happening to the city, but made the distinct choice not to do anything about it. They would live by themselves, independent and free from Manav, but coexist peacefully in trade agreements to prevent wars.
Others did not take to as peaceful of solutions. Rogues broke free from Manav with the intent of overtaking the city. The Rogues could not agree on a solution to the corruption and how to deal with it. They split into four different factions, each with their own goals. Two of them were wiped out within five years while the other two bid their time, preparing to retake the city for all people in Euleos. Only one of the surviving two ever tried their plan and failed horribly. Limping back and severely injured, both of the clans saw their goal as impossible and their dreams of freedom faded into a passion for violence, robbery, and other acts of piracy. They became the outlaws.
No longer seen as a direct threat to Manav’s security, the city allowed the rogues to exist on the despicable surface world. The only interaction they saw was when the fools tried to raid one of their allied surface worlds, where they were met with the full force of the military.
They had been imprisoned for too long, the Aki-Dhu would find a way to escape. Using their near godly powers, they gathered support within a select group of beings chosen for certain qualities in their character that would prevent betrayal. In order to release the Aki-Dhu from their prison in Myribova, these followers must find…
