they [go] t o g e t h e r like [oil] && water
St.Waldrens Academy has always been a high class boarding school found within the woods of Northern Minnesota. The waiting list to get it goes for miles, as only the best of students get accepted to this fine arts school. The education is sublime, as well as the discipline and staff. The teachers have excelled in their subjects that range from a variety of languages to highly advanced math courses. Their main focus is meant to be kept on the highest education possible. Though the authorities at the school manage to let the inhabitants have some social life as long as the schools reputation isn't destroyed in the process. The social life is that of most normal high schools, with cliques and such. It is the Rich Teens that make it out on top in the end though. In fact the basic rule of the school is "Money equals Power, no matter who you are."

On the other side of Town Jefferson High School sits in it's own private hell. Any student in the town who doesn't go to -rich school- goes to -poor school- as it's the only other option. The school has just enough money to stay alive, though the continuous vandalism and behavior issues from the students make the reputation terrible. Graffiti, mass fights, wreckage, they are all part of the daily living of the civilians of this town. It's not that they're bad, it's just that the school is so short-staffed that they cannot possibly control the students. Allowing them to run wild and create their own style of learning. Which may or may not actually include education. The students each have their own groups that keep them safe from the over rebelious ones. Every group has allies and enimies with the others. In fact the only rule that is actually enforced in Jefferson is 'Survival of the Fittest." This is just the normal way of life for the teens that attend Jefferson High.
Finally, the town is driven over the edge with bills and fees. There is no money left to support the school system. As St.Waldrens is a private school and has a seperate income, they don't have to worry. Alas, the students of Jefferson aren't so lucky. Bankruptcy of the school board, leaves the students without any means of an education. Of course, no education is illegal, so the Mayor does the only thing he can do to keep himself out of jail. He offers each and every student from Jefferson a chance to join the neighboring boarding school and have a chance at an exceptional education. They really didn't have a choice either way, it was the only school left.
The families who attend St.Waldrens are outraged. They had to pay a large amount of money to get a student enrolled into the school, and now these low-level middle classers just waltz in for free? Unfortunatly for once in their lives, their money doesn't do anything. For the government has no other choice, it was either mix the schools, or people would have to move away and the small town would disband.
For the adults it was bad, but what about the students?
The students of St. Waldrens are used to being pampered and given as much attention (or lack there of) as they wanted. Their parents basically owned the school, and they could get away with anything and still have sophistication and class. Now, however, all the teachers attentions have been aimed at controlling the new arrivals, and they have gone crack-down hard on all of them
The students from Jefferson aren't too thrilled either. They dispise those stuck-up snobs. Not to mention that at St. Waldrens, they're all being discriminated agaisnt for being the 'freebies' that got in without paying. Teachers are ruder, and some of the more furious ones might just simply refuse to call on a student that came from Jefferson. The Jefferson students also get different lunches, while the St. Waldrens kids dine on the best food possible, they get that elementary school slop. Also many things that used to for everyone (such as some of the sports, activites and electives, now have 'No Jefferson' bans. Most of the teachers here, are almost worse then the St. Waldrens kids...almost.
The two schools are constantly clashing, and the clique rivalry isn't helping. With all the dangerous pranking, fighting and compitition going on, is there any hope for peace?
Welcome to St. Waldrens...
