"Drinks? Oh dear. Are you trying to get me drunk for some reason?" Kim asked suspiciously, raising her eyebrows. She then laughed and followed Daphne through the small crowd. Not like she had much of choice, because she was being pulled. Once at the bar, she tilted her head on the side and waited for her drink.
At the mention of her cousin, Kim laughed and gave a little nod. "I've heard them. It's all 'Mark this' or 'Mark that'. It gets annoying after a while, but I'll get over it." She then sighed, feeling a little rant coming on. "But, seriously, for some of them he's at least 6 or 7 years older than them. He's seven years older than Rylee, and they have a little thing going on." Kim breathed deeply and then shook her head. "But, he's my cousin. I have to love him..."
The bartender brought Kim her drink and she picked it up, taking a sip. "Oh, de-lic-ious," she said slowly, and closed her eyes. When she opened them again, she looked at Daphne with a grin. "And how's your life been?" [/sup]

Daphne looked just behind Kim's shoulder as she listened to her talk about Mark. Maybe she was looking for someone maybe she- ok, so she was, but her ears were perked the entire time. Wait, Mark was having a fling? "Rylee..." Daphne had heard of her before. She stopped, her eyes big, "Rylee as in: Rylee the sophmore? Damn. If anyone found out, Mark would be teaching... in prison. Isn't that stuff illegal?" daphne asked taking another sip.
She watched as the sun setted completely and the tiki lights and fire torches were being ignited. Yes, the party was just beginning. Get ready for the time of your life. Daphne had sworn she heard someone yell, "Let's play spin the bottle!" but the backyard was so big, she couldn't tell where it was coming from. She giggled a little and took another sip. [/size]

Ashley followed the torches all the way into the back yard. In her hands was her present, she wasnt able to afford anything big, but she tried her best and bought a Fresh water pearl necklace and had placed about 50 dollars into the card.
She was wearing a pair of jeans that hugged her legs like a child hugging a teddy bear. On her torso was a white tank top that showed her belly button, the shirt showed a image of a pink hawiian flower. Her hair was tied back losely and curled slightly. It was a warm night so what she had on was oppropiate for the party.
She found Bridget. "Happy Birthday!" she said handing her the gift and giving her a small hug. "I cant believe your 17 already, isnt it amazing how quickly time flies?" Ashley had stated, but it had came ou sounding like a question.

Josh walked down a few houses and onto Bridget's yard. He only lived like five houses down. He walked to her backyard. He liked the theme, Hawaiian. He wore a Hawaiian jacket like thing with a white shirt underneath. He decided to dress a little for the theme. He world probably take his jacket off later.
He made his was to the backyard. In his pocket was Bridget's present. He had got her tickets to a party. Not just any party, this party was one of the hottest of the year. There would be celebs and a lot of partying. He knew Bridget liked that. He had known Bridget for awhile, there parents were friends.
He looked around for Daphne. He really needed to talk to her. What had happened a few weeks ago was all that was on his mind. They hadn't talked since. They needed to. He looked around and spotted her with Kimberly at the bar. He walked over to them. "Umm, hey," he said to her. It was kind of awkward. He hadn't talked to her since it happened."I hope I am not interrupting anything."

ooc Enter Mark <3 Parking his beat up old car out the front of Bridget's house, he gave a little smirk. His present was rather small, but meaningful. It was a small pink teddy bear. But not only the teddy bear, there was a diamond, rose gold braclet chained around it's neck, the only place it would stay on. Un-doing his seatbelt, he slowly walked up the drive-way. Finding Bridget, he smiled, but waited for her to finish talking to Ashley before he approached. Insted, he looked around the yard. Teen girls wearing skimpy out-fits. Heaven! But he was not interested. He had Rylee. And he was happy about that. [/sup]

Kimberley tilted her head on the side and gave a shrug. "I guess you can. I don't really obey the law much. But...hey. Mark's a nice guy, he wouldn't hurt Rylee." "Oh, speak of the devil," she muttered as Mark walked up the drive-way in his board-short and showing off his chest. Waving to her cousin, who waved back sheepishly, she turned back to Daphne. "Oh, come on. I need music," she laughed, and was about to run off to the DJ booth when Josh approached. "Um, hey Daph...I might just...go...talk to Ashley...or Mark...Maybe find Bridget....yeah," she said nervously, gave Josh a greeting smile, and turned to Daphne, giving her a wink and thumbs up. 'See ya later' she mouthed, and giggled, walking off into the crowd. [/sup]

Ashley heard her name come from someones mouth. It sounded alot like Kimberlys. She knew she had to tell her about Spencer, but she didnt want to get Spencer mad, and she definatly didnt want to ruin the party for Kim. Slowley and half shamefully she walked up to her.
"Hi!" she said tapping her on the shoulder. SHe knew she had surprised her. A smile rosed on her face. She was still debating on whether she should tell Kim about Spencer taking drugs at the movie theaters. She didnt know what to do. She looked down and then back up at Kim. "You look nice" she truthfully said, but Kim always looked nice so it didnt make much of a difference.

Well, ask and you shall recieve. Or was it, Becareful of what you wish? Nontheless, she had been thinking of running into Josh, and so she had. Standing next to the two in the flesh. "Of course not," she said with a smile. "You weren't interrupting anything. We were just talking about Mark."
Shit, would that sound like she was interested in him? Because she wasn't. "I mean, how these girls are crazy about him. It's crazy," she mentally slapped herself on the forehead. But physically she said a 'eh' and took a long drink. She watched Kim walk away, aware of the talking part that Josh and Daphne needed to do. "So, talking. I agree," she said. She looked around at all the people. Anyone one of them could easily eavesdrop in their conversation. "But, maybe we should go somewhere private."[/size]

Kimberley turned around when she heard Ashley speak, and squealed. "Hey Ash, how are you?" she asked with the usual hug. Pulling away from her friend, she looked Ashley in the eyes. "Oh. You look great. And thanks," she laughed, and struck a stupid pose.
She then looked suspiciously at Ashley and titled her head on the side. "Ashley, you came over here to tell me something," Kimberley began, and gave a sigh. "Spill!" Laughing, she grabbed her friend by the hand and pulled her off into one of the corners of the yard. It was less noisy and easier on Kim's brain. Kim stood there, looking at Ashley, head tilted on the side. [/sup]

"Thanks"Ashley said taking in the complimet
She looked down then back at Kim, "Well..." she started, she wasnt quite sure if she wanted to tell. "I saw Spencer at the movie theaters, he was taking drugs, and looking at other girls and... basically I told him off because I knew that you wouldnt want him doing that" she quickly spilled out.
She felt alot better. "He ended up getting mad and lashing out at me, he told me not to tell you but I couldnt help it" Ashley sighed. "I'm sorry, I hope this doesnt ruin the party for you or anything" Ashley said looking back down. Her felieved feeling went away as the thought of ruining the party for Kim came back "Im sorry' she repeated, this time in a whisper.

She saw Kimberly walk away. It was now just Daphne and him face-to-face. He really liked her, he just wanted them to be happy. He would want what she wanted. If they wanted to just be friends that was fine. If they wanted to go out, the was good too. He just didn't want them to stop being friends altogether.
He heard the thing about Mark. He didn't really think anything of it. Or should he?
"Yeah, private would be nice," he said to her,"What about the house. Not many people are in it right now."
He took her hand, not really waiting for an answer. He couldn't wait, anymore. It was killing him. He walked into the house. There were only about ten people in there. He worked his way to an empty room. He sat down on the couch. He put his hand on hers," Daph," he said," I like you, a lot. I know you like me, too. At the same time I love our friendship. It is one of the best I have with anyone. Should we risk it? Or should we just always stay friends."

Logan smiled as Bridget exclaimed over her present. Yeah, he'd done good by it. Upon being kissed on the cheek, his grin became wider. "Remember B, I'm easily seduced. Don't toy with me." he said slyly, before laughing and excusing himself to get a drink.
Logan and Bridget always joked about each other, it was just what they did. They both knew the other was attracted to them, but it never got very far. The friendship was more important. And anyway, both had other people they chased and were chased by. Heading over to get a drink, Logan orders a Corona with lime and began to sip at it, watching for anyone he might know. There was Kimberly Pratley, Logan hadn't seen her in forever. Making his way over, he noticed the girl Kim was talking to. She was cute, how lucky was Logan. "Hey Kim, who's your friend?" Logan asked, casually joining in. Kimberly would tell him to leave if he was interrupting.

"The house is fine," she replied. She set down her drink on the bar as he took her hand. She could just come back and get another. Maybe if she was in eighth grade again she would blush at the fact that they were holding hands, but she though of it as nothing. Just two friends. So, this was it. The big talk on... everything.
She sat next to him on the couch her hula skirt crunching as she sat down. She nodded as he stated their feelings. She looked him straight in the eyes. Those eyes. Stop and focus. she couched herself. "The question is, could we be friends know that we know how we feel? If we stayed friends, what would happen when we started dating other people. We would be that friend that still has feelings for the other. And eventually the boyfriend or girlfriend would find out. And hate us, and everything else that is included in a love triangle. Could we deal with that?" she asked squinting her eyes a bit. She didn't raise her voice. It came out more as a whisper. Though the room was remote there was people in the house could easily overhear.[/size]

Kim's smile faded instantly, and it was set as a frown. But she didn't look about ready to cry. She just looked really disapointed. "Shit. I asked him not to. Oh....fuck!" Kimberley sighed deeply and looked at her feet. "Give me moment," she said apologetically to Ashley, and then blinked back tears. "I'm sorry for whatever Spencer did to you. I really I am. I...I'll talk to him," she said, and spread a smile across her face when Logan came to join them.
"Hey Logan!" she said excidetly, and gave him a little hug. Kim then glanced at Ashley. "This is Ash. Met her the other day in the park...and now she's just been telling me about a little problem," she said with a fake smile on her face. Inside there was a battle going on. Half of her was disappointed and angry with Spencer and wanted to hit him, but the other half was unsure and...almost scared. [/sup]

Rylee slowly made her way to the party, dark eyes looking up at the huge house as she made her way to the backyard. It was absolutely gigantic! Pushing her way into the backyard seeing as it was so crowded, Rylee dropped her present off with one of the many attendants. Right now, she didn't feel like fighting to find Bridget and gush. Rylee moved over to the drink place and ordered a daiquiri.
Sipping at the frothy red liquid, Rylee scoped the party. Everyone she'd ever seen at Valkyrie was there, or so it seemed. Truthfully, Rylee was looking for Mark, but right now she didn't see him. Was he even coming? And what exactly was their status? Sighing and taking another drink of the cool, strawberry flavored drink, Rylee just listened to the music.
