Vanessa quickly turned when she heard a cough. It was just like her mother. One or two tears slid down her face, but was mostly covered by the white mask. Everytime Vanessa thought of drugs, or saw something happen because of it, she would think of her mother. Why? Vanessa ranaway from her home, but still missed her mother. Of course, Vanessa's mom never cared for her, but you have to love your mom right?
She was about to ask 'Are you okay?', but stopped. This was a party. Luke was laughing. Vanessa assumed he was just loving this moment. Yet, he didn't know what drugs could do to him. That's why they made all these 'above the influence' commercials. This is why they did all the stuff in elementary school.
Vanessa was tempted to try the evil things out. She kenw it wasn't right, but look at these people. They were enjoying it. But, her mother. Vanessa was stuck between two things. She would have to choose between them.

"Your first time is always the best..." she purred, her plump lips twisting into a smile. "It's nice isn't it?"
There was an orchestrea of illicet pleasure strumming through her body, coursing through cells from her toes to her lagging brain. Coke was a good feeling...
She arched an eyebrow and shrugged at the girl who had barged in, taking it in stride. "No worries..." She spoke.
Teddy was getting bored. Coke was not his thing, but what was his thing was that cute little purse someone had left in the bathroom.
"This is adorable!" He gushed, grabbing it and looking it over. "Does it look good with my new 'dominatrix' look, Lena?" Lena laughed and appraised it, unable to keep the small grin off of her face. "Know what? It's time to get crunk up in herrrrrrrrrrre." He winked at the others and started to take out his needles, preparing for the big one:
heroin.

Joey just strolled along the house with his sister, he was admiring its beauty, and showing his sister were everything was, even though he knew that she had been here before. He just wanted to seem like he knew all about this place, even though her didnt. Okay, okay, that a lie. He was actually giving his sister a small tour because he was looking for Amanda...or Nikki.THus far, he hadnt spotted either one of them, but he knew that when he least expected it, one of them would show up and give him the time of his life. But for now, he had his sister.
"So, Battery" he began, and yes he refered to his sister as battery. The reason behind this, well, he refused to call her Ash, and her enitials are A.A., and that is a type of battery, and plus she had a lot of energy, so to him, it fit her. "You planning to see Reed tonight?" he asked, he knew how to make her blush.
"Duh, I'll see him, the whole school is comming, I'm sure that you'll see him too" his sister snapped back. She hated when he made comments like that. He knew that it made her embarrassed so why would he mention it? Then Joey began to speak again "You know what I mean Ashley, dont act like you dont love him, cause you know you do" His voice was lower, he saw how she was turning red with embarrassment, and he didnt want to ruin her night.
"I dont love him" she whispered, "Were just friends, so I cant love him, I can only like him, a lot" she said. THats what she was trying to force herself to believe, she was trying to force herself to believe that she didnt love him, but of course she was lying to herself, like always. "Joey, do me a favor and just go, have fun, get drunk, and please, please, dont embarrass me" Ashley whinned
Then, in the nick of time, Nikki came. Phew
Joey suddedenly became a bit more happy. He had finally found one of hi s favorite people. "You look gorgeous" he whispered, he then took a step back to admire her beauty. Then she satarted to laugh, at his costume. He expected that, so far everyone he walked pasdt would laugh. It was a funny costume. "Looks like your costume, and my sisterscostume fit together rather well" he said, with a laugh. Seeing as his siter was dressed to play a round of football, well or so she looked, and seeing as Nikki was a ref, it fit well. He hoped Nikki would understand the humor in his costume.
Joey looked back at his sister, to make sure that she was occupied, and enjoying herself, but all he saw was a bored look on her face. He felt bad for her. "Ash why dont you-" and that was all he had to say because right after he said that she cut him off and began to speak.
"Um, yea, I am gonna go and maybe get soimething to drink" she said then began to walk away. But before she did, Joey grabbed her arm. "Dont get yourself drunk Ashley, I dont want you doing anything that you would regret in the long run" he whispered, then let go. And on that note, she was gone
Joey turned back to Nikki, "Sorry, I'm just really protective of her" he said with a sigh.

"You look gorgeous"
"Thank you," Nikki said. She glanced over at Ashley. Nikki didn't know her well, but they would talk every now adn then. Not big conversations, but just some chit-chat. Well, Ashley had a football kind of costume on. It was revealing, like most costumes, but Nikki didn't care. It was still a awesome outfit.
"Looks like your costume, and my sisters costume fit together rather well"
Nikki smiled. "Nice costume," she said truthfully. Nikki liked it, but she likes her costume too. Joey was right. Their costumes /did/ match afterall. They were both sports related...Well, at least that's what Nikki thought. People never make any female sports costume non-revealing anymore.
"Sorry, I'm just really protective of her"
"No problem," Nikki replied. She admire the way how he wanted his sister to be safe. Yet, Nikki wondered if Ashley got annoyed. Come on, this was high school. Teenagers usually wanted some privacy or space. There was the exception of Ashley and Joseph being siblings. They could want to hang out with each other, or stay as far away as possible.

Vanessa remembered her bag when one of the guys held it up. "Oh..Umm...That's mine." Vanessa said. She gently took it from his hands. She was a bit confused at this moment. So much was happening. She just had to get downstairs. This was too much for her. Too much for her to handle. Too much for her top think about. Then, she heard the word. Heroin.
Vanessa turned to the door, finally walking out of the bathroom. She went into the crowd again, looking for someone to talk to. Looking for some that wasn't like the people in the bathroom. Vanessa thoguht for a moment. She thoguht she saw Luke around before, or at least heard of him. Vanessa never heard of a Summit doing drugs. Just hooking up with many..many people.

Eric Faden looked up slightly as he saw a rather beautiful. A small smile slipped onto his lips which Laura caught. She turned to look where his eyes watched and grinned, "Girl of the week?" She asked, being well aquainted with Faden and his tendency to fall in love with a new girl each week.
"Ah no actually, I haven't met her, she is rather beautiful isn't she?." He said, shaking his head slightly as Laura offered him another shot.
"Really? I mean she is pretty, many girl here are but why don't you go say hello?"
Faden nodded, "yes, very pretty.."
"I think her name's Vanessa, I don't know her but I think she has a boyfriend. I wouldn't worry, you'll be in love again next week."
"I'm not in love yet, Laura." Faden said standing straight up, "I don't know the girl yet."
"Don't beleive in love at first sight?" She said grinning, "And I thought you were a romantic, go on, go say hello."
"I can't just wa-" Faden began but was interupted by Laura grabbing his arm and walking over to Vannessa, "Hi" She said with a small smile, "Vannessa isn't it? This is Eric. Goodbye." And then Laura walked back to the bar area.
Eric Faden looked at Vanness and gave a small smile, "Sorry about that."

Joey laughed. "Well, she was looking for one of her old golf outfits, so that she could show up as a golfer, a non-revealing golfer, but I told her that that wasnt too Halloweenish, so she took it upon herself to get that! I mean, yea, I think its to revealing for her, but atleast it doesnt shopw her cleavage and what not" he sighed, wishing that he didnt say anything to his siter when she put on that golfer outfit.
"Yea, I mean, she really doesnt mind it though, she likes that I am protective of her" Joey began. "She used to hate me for it and would get annoyed, but now she appreciates it because hse knows that I'm right" he said. There was long pause, full of silence between the two. He didnt know what to say, and he guessed that Nikki didnt know what to say either. "That doesnt mean that she alwasy listens to me though" he said with a chuckle.
Him and his sister were probably the best friends thast each other had, and Joey knew that that was rare for siblings.
"So, Nikki, I know we are both more sporty people, but, would you like to dance?" he asked, then took her hand in his and gave her a quick peck on her hand. That was something that he always wanted to do. "You know, I saw that on tlelvision and I have always wante to do that" he whispered. Of course he was refering to how he hand kissed her on the hand.

Vanessa turned at a sound of a voice. "Oh, Hi." She said. She didn't really know Faden. She wasn't really interested either. Vanessa heard that Faden had 'Girls of the Week' and so, she wasn't the least bit interested. Plus, Vanessa had somebody already. She loved him, yet he treated her like dirt.
At the same time, Vanessa wasn't sure if this /was/ Faden at all. He could have been someone else. The girl wouldn't know because she never really met him before. Vanessa looked back at the drug users. It was disgusting. She turned back to Faden. "No problem." she said, thinking it was weird that the girl just did that.

His eyes shifted looking at each of them, a goofy smile planted on his face. When Teddy started to pull out needles, his eyes widened and his jaw dropped. Oh, shit! He already felt on top of the world, did he really need more? They obviously did. He felt dizzy for a few seconds, but overall the cocaine was doing him good.
"Jesus, you guys are fucking insane" he said shaking his head and rubbing his eyes as if he didn't believe it. "Dude... I just did coke. I just did fucking cocaine man!" he was laughing as if he was proud of himself. "Amanda's gonna fucking KILL me if she finds out this shit went down" he picked up his hat and put it back onto his head, "but whatever man"
Looking at the girl standing next to him, his mind shifted gears for a moment. She was looking pretty good in that white dress, and he was feeling more full of himself than normal. Putting his arm around her shoulders as if he'd known her for ever, a cute smile came across his face, "are you?" he asked referencing the heroin. Her brother obviously was, he couldn't wait to unpack the needles, but he wasn't quite sure about the girl. Luke was never really one to go along with peer pressure, usually he was providing it, but is she was into the whole heroin scence, than for the time being, he would too. [/color]

"Golf?" Nikki asked, surprised. She looked at Ashley and continued. "I have to admit, that costume is way better than a golf outfit." Nikki might have been an athletic girl, but golf wasn't one of her interests. She would play it every now and then, but not usually. It was fun, but Nikki was busy with other sprots too.
A smile appeared on her face when Joey asked her to dance. "I would love to," she said. Looking at Ashley, Nikki said,"If you don't mind." Joey and Ashley might have been planning to do something and Nikki didn't want to ruin it.

Vanessa took her attention off Faden. She looked back at Luke. Was she going to do heroin? Hell no. Vanessa wasn't that kind of girl, and nobody could make her that kind of person. She wasn't going to be like these siblings. Not now. Not ever. "No way!" Vanessa replied. She felt like Teddy and Lena were crazy for doing this. Of course, they loved it.
Vanessa was talking to two people. Eric Faden and Luke Summit. Niether of them she knew very well. They were like strangers. Vanessa only saw them around, but they never really talked. She didn't think they could build a relationship, but anything was possible. That's why they made of the quote, 'Never judge a book by its cover'.

"I've never done heroin before..." Lena giggled and called over to Teddy who was busy tying a rubber band around his forearm. "Teddy, should I try it?" He was her older brother: he knew everything.
He grunted in reply and tugged the band tight with his teeth, and then answered. "Whatever floats your boat darling. Just know that I'm not going to share my stash with you..." He replied in a sing song voice, fixing his needle to fit in his pale arm and blue veins. He slowly pushed on the top until the liquid spilled into his system. "Oh yesssss..." He moaned, leaning back against a wall a sliding the ground, the needle still in his arm. "that's how you party, bitch..." He spoke to the room.
He nodded to the purse still in his hand and stretched it out to Vanessa who was in the hallway. "Come get it...." he called out to her, his arm slightly drooping. His eyes narrowed at her when he heard her comment and shrugged his shoulders. "Fine then. You won't get any."
Lena smiled and removed the needle from his arm and put more heroin into it before handing it to Luke.
"You try first. I'm a little intimataded."

"Hey, dont insult the sport of golf!" Joey said with a chuckle. His uncle used to be a golf fannatic, so that was the only reason that Joey ever played it, well that and the movie- 'Happy Gilmore'. That was a wondeful movie to him, of course to him it was, seeing as he loved comedy, and just about every movie that Adam Sandler was in, but would he admit that? Hells no! If he admitted that he loved Adam Sandler moivies, that would make him sound gay. Then he thought for a second about if he were to tell somebody who would it be. Then just as he narrowed his choices down to Ashley and Amanda, Nikki began to speak again.
Joey watched as Nikki looked at Ashley, then asked if he minded. This brought a smile to his face for two reasons, he admired how considerate she was, and the fact that that statement was rather funny to him. "We may be siblings, but we have are own lives. Like, we probably wont talk again unless something tramatic happens and she needs me to go talk to some guy for her or something" he said with a laugh, "But, for now, she is fine, and I want to dance with you" he said with a nod.
Joey took her hand and began to walk out to the dance floor.
[Complete crap >.<]

"Fine," Nikki replied. A little laugh escaped her lips. Joey seemed to like golf, but Nikki didn't care. She was still a nice guy, along with the fact that he was a great friend. It didn't matter what his hobbies were, as long as Joey stayed the same. Anyone could change, but Nikki didn't want Joseph to be one of them.
Nikki gently placed her hand in Joey's and walked to the dance floor. A dance song just finished, so they missed all the fun dances. Surprisingly, a slow song came on. Nikki didn't know if Joseph wanted to do this song. She wouldn't mind if they would sit out until this song was over.

It wasn't long after they smiled at eachother that Amanda lost sight of Luke, but she really didn't care. As long as she didn't find him passed out somewhere on the floor somewhere in the middle of the party, it didn't matter what he did. For the first few minutes she didn't mind careless mingling with her drinking buddies or some other friends from school, but she was really just wasting time looking for somebody. Who was she looking for? None other than Joseph Adams who had actually been over within the past week. Even though the last time they were together they got into a huge fight, Amanda had forgiven him, and hoped that they would be able to spend the night together...at the party and afterwards. She was a little concerned when he didn't ask her to be his girlfriend after the both said that they loved achother, but she had just figured that he was just waiting for the right moment, which in her mind would have been at the party.
That was exactly why she was so upset when she saw Joey and Nikki dancing together. "What the fuck?" she asked rhetorically as she stood peering at them from through the crowds of people. Although they couldn't see her, she could most definitely see them, and that's all that mattered. Did he not remeber how mad she got when she found out that he went out with her once? That's what started the whole fight! What did he expect her to say when she saw that he was there with another girl, and that that other girl was her best friend? Or, Ex- best friend now.
Rolling her eyes, she let it slide off of her back as if it was nothing even though it was really eating her inside. Although she had previously been drinking beer, this called for something stronger. Picking up a Grey Goose bottle with about an inch left, she put it to her lips allowing it to flow into her feeling the immense burn that followed. Being a 'border line alcoholic' as she called it, she had a fairly high tolerance level for alcohol, but the amount of vodka she just drank would definitely send her over the edge in a matter of time.
Scanning the area, she looked for somebody that would take her mind off of what-was-his-name, oh yeah, Joey, the love of her life. Spotting Lance, a coy smile came across his face as she walked up to him. There was no way that he would be able to resist her now, she was typsy, about to get smashed, and walking around in her underwear.
"Hey you, I like your costume" she ran her fingers across his jacket. Before they moved and they lived in New England, she used to go snowboarding all the time, and she was pretty good at it too. But no, she wasn't thinking about snowboarding now, she was thinking about how long it would take her to get all that damn snow gear off of him.
