The first day of school had been pretty nice, and almost welcoming. It was just summer that still lingered with Anne that was tearing her into a million little peices. Her parents were still surprised that she was at Valkyrie, sure, but they'd gotten over that about a year ago. Now, they were planning a new range of attack. Arranged marraige. Apparently, it had been passed down by generation to generation, but over her own dead body would she marry some snooty Perisian man that her father liked. Ew. Steam was rippling off the sides of her face, not just from the heat, because in all actuality it was a slight breeze & not as hot as usual - but tennis seemed to be the only other option for her. She bit her lip and frowned at the mirror aggresively as she tugged at her ponytail to make it tighter & higher. Her outfit consisted of a tennis skirt, tank top & little adidas. Her mother once asked her to consider wearing a visor while playing this sport. Pfft. Like her mother knew anything about looking good. One of Anne's main priorities, sadly, was the maintain a good reputation, and so far, she had done well for herself.
The bright, clean courts for the new fall season of tennis was planted on the school grounds, as Anne picked a vacant one with her tennis racket swinging by her side and a tennis ball machine on the opposite side of the net. Time to hit some balls. Without much concentration, and just focusing her anger out onto the lime green balls, she began to swing. Quite viciously at that, and at one point, a ball came flying towards the tip of the racket that spiraled off in a different direction and hit another person from the school in the back. Get out of my way. Anne thought in a sneer to the player, but then gave the person an apologetic face.
"Ah! Sorry about that." Well, atleast she was apologizing, rarely something she'd do.

Jem walked onto the tennis court. He noticed Anne right away and began to walk over to her, at a slow pace. His eyes scannend his surrounding, he noticed the differant colored leavs falling to the ground and some on the ground, scattered here and there or in serperate piles. Jem wore a yelled shirt and jeans (like in my sig.) and his hair was slightly messy. His hands slid into his pockets as he stopped next to Anne "Uh, hi I was wondering if you knew where the shaks were?" Jem asked politly. He eyes twinkled softly, he noticed how pritty she was but he didn't make a big deal out of it.
If Jem's parents raised him normally then he would probably flirt, or hit on her like most guys would do, but Jem was raised differantly and wasn't like that. He kept his eyes on her face and no where else. He shifted his weight onto his other foot for a second and took his hands out of his pockets. Jem looked around making sure he wasn't interupting a game.

Bridget walked around near the tennis courts, about to make a stop at the locker room. She was just out on the field practicing a little softball and cheerleading, two thing she loved. Some people might not think she was the softball type or cheerleading type, and in a way they were right. Yet, a part of her heart loved them.
She was a pair of blue short shorts the said "cheerleading" on the back. For a top she wore a gray shirt that said "Valkyrie Falcons" on it. Her her was up in a ponytail, something it was not normally in.
She heard balls being hit on the tennis courts, she figured she would go find out who they were from. She walked on the tennis courts and saw Anne. She and Anne were good friends and hung out. "Hey," she said running over to her avoiding the balls.

The tennis balls paused from their flight towards Anne's racket as she watched Jem walk over. She couldn't say she knew Jem well, and rarely ever talked to the guy, but he ranked a high score with his looks, so she decided she might as well talk to him. No harm done. She raised an eyebrow, seeing that he may have been around her age, and you'd think he'd know where the shacks where. Whichever shacks the guy meant.
"Which shack are you looking for?" She asked, raising her eyebrows in a bored expression, crossing her arms with her racket still held in her left hand. She then noticed out of the corner of her round, chesnut eye one of her very good friends Bridget come over. Thank god. "Hey hun." She smiled, looking from each person infront of her.

"Building B" Jem said and looked over noticing someone comming over. He rubbed his jaw slightly and looked back at Anne and blinked. Jem stood there awkwardly, it looked like Anne had no inerest in talking to him, but he was glad she was, and at least she might show him where the shaks were. Because he certainly had no idea.
Jem took of his book bag and look over seeing a tennis ball flying towards his face, his caught it just in time and through it back to the person who hit it, who was very far away. Jem could certainly thro.

Daphne pulled her hair into a high pony tail. She looked at herself in her car's rearview mirror and re-applied clear gloss before putting on her vintage sunglasses and stepping out of her car near the Tennis Courts at Valkyrie Academy. She grabbed her racket from the passanger side and a watter bottle.
She had agreed to meet her friends, Anne and Bridget to shoot some balls on the tennis courts. Not, doing anything, Daphne agreed happily, she hadn't spent much time with them lately and this was one of those sports that they could talk and exercise. Given, that Daphne was no pro at tennis, she thought it would be fun.
She walked down the steps onto the court as she noticed Anne and waved. She also saw a boy talking to her. She also saw Bridget emerging to join Anne, but Daphne just continued her stroll toward the end of the court to meet up with Anne. As she got closer she heard her Anne make a bitchy comment to the boy. About 'shacks'. Daphne assumed it had to do with "The Shaks," a living condition near the beach. Daphne though, kept her mouth shut. Anne didn't know she lived down there, and she was sure she could lose a friend if she found out.[/size]

Bridget looked at the guy talking to Anne. Bridget didn't really know him. She wondered why he would come all the way over and on to the tennis courts where someone was hitting balls to ask about the shacks.
She saw Daphne heading towards them. "Hey," she said to her," whats up."
She turned back to Anne.
"Ok," she said to her," I heard something about you and an arranged marriage, tell me it isn't true. I would completely die if my parents made me do that."
She would, but she knew her parents wouldn't make her. She thought it would suck to have that happen. Seriously, you would only meet they like once before you got married.

Jem looked at Anne, and all her friends. 'Probably all wondering why I'm asking about the shaks' he thought bordly. Jem wondered if Anne was going to tell him where they were or ask him questions why he was looking for them, or if he was poor etc. He didn't mind, but he certainly had a clear view that this person wasn't someone to hang around.

Nikki's hair was tied in two ponytails in the back. She was wearing shorts, and a T-Shirt. Tennis wasn't any formal thing. Nikki just dressed casual.
Nikki walked into the tennis courts. She saw her friend Bridget talking to...Who's that? Jem? No way, should she go up to them...No. But Jem might go to the dance with her....Probably not. So many questions and answers filled her mind.
Could Nikki do it?
It seemed like it. She walked up to Bridget and said,"Hey, guys..." Something made her stop though. Jem seemed to like Anne and that made Nikki a little sad.

[Sorry for the delay!] Anne bit her lip and pointed in a certain direction for Jem. From his appearance, you'd think he'd be slightly more cocky & confident, but from what she'd seen so far, he had a very shy edge. Cute, but the shy thing ended in 2003. Who knows, maybe if she got him drunk enough at the beach party he'd loosen up - now that would be a sight to see. She noticed Daphne, a very good friend of hers as well, come over. Finally, now she could get a rally on. The thought of the requlinshing her anger out on a tennis ball, & make believing it was her father's head sounded like an excellent idea. She noticed that Bridget found out about her arranged marraige and she simply shrugged, furrowing her eyebrows about the whole situation for the first time instead of having a rage blackout.
"They want me to have one, but hell couldn't make me marry Monsieur French Face." Anne remarked as she noticed a petite blonde girl walking over. It was something about blondes that made Anne a little fidgety, like they wanted to do something stupid on purpose or something. Ew. Not to mention this school have a billion tiny preppy ones trying to rule the world. Too bad that she was the brunnette bitch at this school.

Nikki saw the girl look at her. She didn't look like those kind, nice, caring girls. She didn't act like one either. Nikki didn't like those kinds of people. They don't like you because, how you look, what you wear, and stuff like that. Trust me, she was going to hate Nikki. After all, Nikki was like those non-girly type females.
Nikki saw the way Anne looked at her. It seemed like she didn't like Nikki at first sight. "It must be because of blonde," Nikki thought to herself,"that's usually the reason..." Nikki started to think of all the shirts with Stupid Blondes and stuff like that. Nikki weren't like those blondes, and she hated when people think of her like that just because of her hair color.
Major prejuduce.......

Jem didn't look behind him, he never did, usually people when they had a friend leave for long time the friend would look back, trying to see the other friend for as mutch time as possible, Jem..was the oppisite.

Nikki started to wlak up to Jem before he was going to the Shaks. She had no idea what she was going to do. She didn't even know what she was going to say. This might be a little problem.
Nikki caught up with Jem. It wasn't hard, she runs fast and he was walking. Not so hard. "Hey..." Nikki said to him,"So...umm...Do you play basketball much?" Nikki thought of a topic that he might be interested in talknig about.

Jem looked over "Huh? Oh..ya. " He said, squniting, bad habit. "Ya, I play all the time" he said, then looked away for a momment, he wasn't used to people talking to him and it made him feel strange. Espeshially since she seemed the kind of girl who turend down people who stayed and dressed in, and like, the things and places he did.
"Uh, if you don't mind me asking but why..are you talking to ME out of all the guys here" he asked, plainly. Jem, spoke what he thought..and it would always be like that.

"Oh sorry," Nikki said. She obviously liked Jem. At least it was obvious to everyone but him. He totally had no idea why she hung around him and didn't want to tell him why. It would be to embarressing.
Nikki swung her backpack over her shoulder and started to walk away. He simply had no interest in her at all. Nikki was upset and thought she actually had a chance with Jem.
Suddenly, out of nowhere, Nikki's diary fell out. Of all times, it fell now. It was wide opened to a page about Jem. Now it was too late to give it to Nikki. She was nowhere to be seen now.
