Ashley swipped the sweat off her forhead as she turned the knob to make the treadmill go faster. Her muscels were killing her but she had to push herself to the limit and keep going, she had already ran about 10 miles on the treadmill but still needed to keep going.
After adjusting the treadmil to go fasted she turned the music comming from her ipod higher. The song playing was "Bubble Pop Electric" a good running song in her opinion. She looked around at all of the people that were also on the treadmils "Wow, I'm the only fat on here" she sighed not knowing the truth of the matter, she was truely the thinnest there but she definatly didnt see it like that.
Her navy blue ROXY tank top was sticking to her like glue now because of her sweat. Her white skirt kept bouncing up and down cooling of her legs. [she has SHORT white shorts underneith, dont worry]. Her feet were bare, in her opinion running on a treadmil with sandles was ludicris. Her ponytal swayed back and froth cooling off her neck.
Every 5 minutes she turned the speed on the treadmil higher that way she would get more out of it and in her opinion she would be pacing herself. The truth was she was never good with working out, she always over did it and pushed herself to far. But she enjoyed the feeling of being pushed to far, it gave her a refreshing feeling!

He was in his zone. He had jogged a good five miles around the track dwon by the field. He cooled down ten minutes before heading up into the weight room. It was part of his workout. Was he on one from a coach? No, this was his personal workout made for him.
Panting slightly he opened the door to the weight room, he almost didn't notice anyone in there. But, there was one other person. Hmm, wasn't her name Ashley? He flashed a smile at her before getting ready to bench press. He didn't want to bother her. She looked pretty focused on the treadmill but, Reed had to admit, she was cute. He started as he breathed evenly. It was important that he focused to. But that didn;t mean after he was done that he wouldn't talk to her.

Ashley looked up noticing a boy. She wasnt quite sure who he was but she knew one thing for sure, he was cute. She tryed to decide whether to turn the treadmil off and go talk but she really didnt know if she should, I mean she needed this workout but she didnt want to seem rude.
She slowed the treadmil down, that way she wouldnt seem to foucused on it, so that when he was finished with his bench presses he would know it was ok to approach her. She also turned her music down that way she would be able to here him. She didnt shut everything off completly because she didnt want to seem to eager or too desprate.

He noticed the girl slow on the treadmill. Not much of a surprise. He seemed all the girls gathered around him now-a-days. But, what about Alex? Ok, so they hooked up in the equipment shed at the bonfire. Does that mean he's committed all of a sudden? No, he just had to wait for that. Till then, he would have to enjoy himself. Alex was a big flirt as well. She probably wasn't all hung up on him.
He finished his repetition on the bar and got up, grabbing at one of the towels stacked near the door. He wiped his face and walked near the treadmills. "Hey, you're Ashley, right?" he asked. It would be a horrible mistake if he got her name wrong, but he was confident that he got it right.

She took the ear peices out of her ears. "Yep, thats my name" she said then flashed him a smile. "Isnt your name Reed, or something?" she asked hoping that she was right. She had already messed up enough. She stopped the treadmil, she didnt want to be rude and keep running.
She leaned against the front of the treadmil and blew the small stand of hair out of her face. It didnt budge because of the sweat, she lifted her hand up and just pushed it back with the rest of her hair not caring how it came out, but to her luck it didnt mess her hair all up.

"Been called that since I was born," he said and leaned up against the treadmill beside hers. "Now, if I would have to guess. I would see you are here for... tennis? Track? Stop me if I'm wrong," he mused and smiled slowly revealing his whites one by one.
Was it harmless flirting? Maybe, maybe not. After his workout Reed was looking for a little treat. So it ended up talking to someone. He really only knew his friends and locals who went to Nonsense. It wouldn't hurt to talk to people outside the box.

"I'm here for track" she half lied "That and I really need a good workout" now she was telling the full truth. "How did you know?" She asked out of curiosity "I mean how did you know I did Tennis and Track?" she was pretty curious on how!
"Is he like one of those mind readers?" she asked herself in thought. She looked at him up and down and nodded in aprovel. He was good looking, but did he have the personallity? She thought to herself.

Reed only laughed at the question of how he knew. "Ashley. I work down at Nonsense. The club. Maybe you've been there I was just too drunk to notice you. But, I tend the bar most nights. I can guess what drinks people want. Sports, is, the side-show. I'm good at guessing things you might conclude."
He got up from his leaning stance, "Thirsty?" he asked in his Irish accent. They were both sweating and Reed was ready for some drinks. Water, of course. He assumed she was thirsty too. He offered his hand to her so she could get off the treadmill.

Ashley smiled "Such a gentalman, of course I would like a drink!" She smiled and placed her hand in his and carfully stepped off the treadmill. "Thank you" she whispered. He was only slightly taler than her so she really didnt have to look up and was able to look him in his eyes.
"I know this may sound weird because your a guy but you have beautiful eyes" she said as she stared into his eyes. She closed her mouth and placed a small shy smile on her face.

Reed smiled once again as she took his hand and he helped her off the treadmill. "So, I've been told." Her hand wasn't as sweaty as the rest of her body was, it was warm and soft. "There is some water bottles right outside the door," he said placing a hand on her back and started to lead her out of the weight room.
"So, Ashley. Are you a junior?" he honestly couldn't tell. Guessing grades was harder than it looked. She seemed like a junior, but was quite tall that other girls he had talked with so far, so she might be a senior like himself.
They reached the vendor machine. "Imagine if I was dying of thirst. I would still have to pay to live. Funny how that works." He withdrew some folded bills from his gym shorts. "On me." he said as he purchased two Dasani waters. He handed one to her and smiled, "Cheers."

She laughed and clicked her bottle against his. "Thank you" she smiled as she twisted the cap off. She took a small sip but it cooled her body off greatly. She was so greatful for the water.
"Wow! You guess everything right, I am indeed a Junior!" she smiled. "I would definatly bet my money on you in a guessing game." She smiled at him. "I am told I look older, mostely because of my height" she sighed. Ever since she was 8 people would mistake her age because of her height. At times it was cool, but somethimes it would get annoying. You try having someone mess up your age everyday!

ooc|| Too lazy to switch accounts
"That's what I would have guessed," Reed said referring to her height. He smiled once again, "Yes, I win at almost anything I want. And that's not just referring to games and bets."
Might as well let her imagination wander at his last comment. He took a deep drink for the water bottle. "So, Ashley, I'm assuming you are going to Bridget's birthday bash?" he asked walking across the hall and sitting down on the floor. He offered the floor beside him for her to sit.

She carefully sat down besides him. His comment left he wondering. What does he mean by that, she asked herself.
She snapped back to reality when he brought up Bridgets party. She began to answer, "Yes, I am going to Bridgets party" she said as if she were an detective. "Now let me ask, are you going to her party or are you just going to stay at home and be bored" she laughed. She then relized that if he really wasnt going to the party, what she had just said would have sounded quite rude.
She looked down as she had always done when she felt upset, confused, angered, or sorry. In this case it was sorry...

So she regrets saying things. Reed didn't mind. He playfully nudged his shoulder on hers. "Home is the last place I want to be." So, Ashley probably didn't know the whole story. Not a lot of people did. "I might try and stop up there after I finish picking some bands, order more supplies, and clean up down at Nonsense."
He leaned his head back against the wall and sighed. His life got so fucked up since last year when his dad blew up at him. Ah, no worries though. Some kids may find it unethical to not talk to your parents. But, it truth, Reed hadn't talked with his parents since the second semester of his junior year. Reed's parents even lived in in Valkyrie. She looked up at him "You too?" she asked hoping that she finally found someone with the same family problems as her. "What did they do to you?" she asked
What she had just said sounded so much like a scean from "The Breakfast Club". It made her laugh inside her mind, she could never imagin herself in the breakfast club, but if she was she would most likely be the goffy girl, but that was exactly why she wouldnt fit into the movie... there was no goffy girl.
