Nikki sat on the sand in the beach. She wasn't planning on going into the water. All she wore was a T-Shirt and shorts. She grabbed a notebook from her bag and started sketching. There was a beautiful sunset, and she had her color pencils in her backpack. Nikki decided to draw it. It would look really nice and beautiful. Nikki wasn't the best artist, but she was good.
After Nikki finished the picture she flip the page. Nikki started sketching herself at the homecoming. Nikki wouldn't get a date, probably. She never will get a boyfriend either. That's how it always been. No guy ever liked someone sporty. At least, every guy she knew so far.
In Nikki's picture, she was in her regular outfit, but a guy was standing next to her. She didn't have to be anything but herself. That was a dream that she wished came true.

Dylan walked onto the beach with his sunglasses on. He wasn't going to swim either. Dylan was wearing jeans and a T-Shirt. A jacket covered his shirt, though. Dylan spotted Nikki on the beach. He saw here playing many sports. She had to be the only sporty girl at Valkyrie Academy. Hopefully, Nikki would be the girl he was taking to the homecoming. Of all the girls, it just had to be Nikki Malinda. They didn't really know each other, but they seen each other around.
Dylan walked over to Nikki. He sat down right beside her. How would he start a conversation? Well, Dylan was going to make up something for sure. Le'ts just start by saying hello. "Hey, Nikki," Dylan said to Nikki. She seemed so beautiful without make-up or all those things girls think they need to become beautiful.

Nikki was still doodling when Dylan came over. She was too busy drawing her dream life. Nikki liked Dylan. She was over her old crush, Jem. He was such a jerk. All she tried to do was talk to him, and know him better. What did Nikki get in return? An attitude. No way was she talking to him.
When Nikki heard Dylan, she turned over to him. There he was. So cute. Why would he talk to her? Dylan was so popular, and he decided to talk to her. It was an awkward, but at the same time, amazing moment. Could it get any better? Probably.
"Hey," Nikki replied back ,blushing. They knew each other a little, but could be called average friends.

Dylan just wanted to get this over with. He wanted to be more than just friends with Nikki. Much more. She was pretty, sporty, and everything he wanted.
When Dylan saw Nikki blushed, that told him that she liked him. Perfect moment to ask her if she wanted to go to homecoming together and be more than just friends.
"I'll just make this fast," Dylan said,"Would you like to go to homeomcing with me?"

Nikki was surpirsed when she heard what Dylan said. She was asked out? No way. This was so surprising. Nikki was asked out by a boy, and the boy was her crush. This moment could not get any better. Could it?
To Nikki, Dylan could get her in a fingersnap. He was sweet, and cute. How mcuh more could come in a guy? Nobody was perfect, but to Nikki, Dylan was as perfect as perfect could be.
"Sure!" Nikki answered joyfully.

Dylan wasn't surprise about the answer. He usually could get girls. It was usually because he played sports. Dylan really liked Nikki and she seemed to like him too. Dylan was going to ask her another question now.
"Wanna come to my house and have 'hang out'? Dylan said. It was obvious what he wanted to do. His eyes made it so tempting, that no girl could resist.

Nikki wasn't usually the one to do that, but she couldn't resist. He was so hot, and those eyes! Nikki couldn't resist coming over to his home. It was unusual for her to do 'that'.
Nikki's personality was changing every second. "Sure," she sid in a sexy voice. It would be surprising to someone who knew here for a while.
"See you tomorrow," Nikki said. She started to walk school.
