Kaiser was sitting on a park bench, his head tilted backwards allowing the soft light of the sun to hit his lightly tanned skin. His eyes were closed, maybe he was asleep? Or maybe not. Surronding his ears was a large set of headphones, if one was around three feet of him, some one could clearly hear the song 'Here in Your Arms' by Hellogoodbye blaring from the large headphones.
Maybe he was an addict to the old style of headphones, or maybe he just liked these ones that could literally destroy his ears. Who knows. A quiet groan escaped from his lips as he opened his lips, and rubbed his eyes. Yawning, he picked up the CD player, and shoved it in his khaki cargo pants, and then borrowed his hands in his brown jacket's pocket.
The sixteen year old laid down on the bench now, almost to the point of sleep, but, maybe he won't be able to catch any extra Z's, or, who knows, maybe he will.

Ashley sat down on the swings and looked back noticing a boy on the bench. He looked alone so she decided to introduce her self. Slowley she stood up and walked towards him.
"Hi! My name is Ashley" she cried out loud enough for him to hear. She smiled and sat down next to him. The sun was beating on her tan skin, it almost burnt but was not hot enough too. Lucky for her a small breeze blew by to cool her off. It felt good to be at the park again.
She looked back at the swing which was rocking back and forth, it made a slight creaking sound. She looked back at the boy trying not to be rude.

The noise shocked him, after all it got threw his headphones. Quickly, he tore off the headphones, hung them around his neck, and then sat up and opened his eyes. "Hi," he asked rubbing his ears attempting to get normal sound reseption back into them.
"Kaiser," he said simply attempting to awaken himself completely. Mentally, he made a note to himself not to try to fall asleep in public areas. Maybe he was sleep deprived, granted, he always was, that's what he got for spending up to three hours a day sleeping. Granted, he needed money, and the work experiance... Plus, Wushu was just way to much fun for him to give up for sleep. Besides! He'll just... Sleep all weekend.
He blinked a few times, adjusting to the sunlight, and asked, "What are you doing here?" a tired tone with a hint of curiosity entered his voice.

"Cool name" Ashley said this time with a softer voice. "What am I doing here?" Ashley giggled "Well lets just say I don't know many people and I thought that the park would be one of the best places to meet people" She smiled.
Ashley heard music coming out of the headphones. "Whatcha listening to?" she asked with much interest. She always love to hear music and to talk about music with other. She tried to concentrate on listening to the music but it was to far away from her for her to be able to figure it out.

"Parks are good for getting sleep," Kaiser said, yawning and stretching. Personally, he had never really made any friends in parks, he just played with old friends there when he was little. Then he smiled slightly and nodded his head, "Thanks... I think." True, his name was kind of odd, and he did like it since there was never another Kaiser in his grade, but still, it was an odd name that sounded kind of like 'crazier' in his mind.
Kaiser stared down at his headphones, listening to the tone that pumped out of them. "Hellogoodbye, Here in Your Arms," he said, pulling out his CD player to see he had accidently pushed the repeat button. He shrugged and set the old player on the bench. He didn't mind, not at all, after all this was one of his favorite song.

She straightened up "Oh, Oh, I love that song!" she listened to in joy.
"Sorry if I woke you up... I didnt know you were sleeping" she looked into the sun and blinked not even once. Strangly she was able to stare at the sun without blinking. It was an odd quality about her.

"It's a pretty fun song," Kaiser said tapping his feet in tune with the song. Then he sheilded his eyes against the sun and blinked a few times, maybe in an attempt to stop the glare.
He shrugged slightly, "It's my fault for not getting sleep at night. But I don't. So I'm a smart duck, aren't I?" The last sentence he said was clearly sarcastic. Granted, he was sick of his mother harping on him to go to bed earlier, but he needed to get his home work done with, otherwise, he would flunk. Hell, he was close to flunking as it was, and he couldn't manage getting an F on his report card and having that sent to his mother. Imagine the lecture then...

"Well with all the homework they hand out how can anyone excpect to sleep" she sighed. "I dont know its just I dont understand why they give so much out to us because why give us work about this we understand greatly, if they are going to give us work it should be small challenging things, if you know what I mean" Ashley flashed him a quick smile.
She watched two birds in the tree together. A lovely picture it would have been. Too bad she didnt have her camera. She would have pause a snaped it right away, it would lead her towards an instant A+, she smiled at the thought of it.

"My math teacher does that," Kaiser said, "he gives us twelve problems, and one challenging one. But, yeah, I know what you mean. I think I had a teacher once, at my old school, assign us a freaking essay to make sure we used transitions right, even though we just learned about them. Teachers are stupid sometimes."
He turned his head as he looked at the birds and placed an head phone on one of his ears, but left the other one free so he could listen to the conversation.

[size=1"You remind me of my brother" Ashley said with a smile "He is a music freak, he is the one who hooked me onto it" Ashley started to laugh, she remembered the time her brother first taught her to play drum, it was sooo much fun.
Ashley took a deep breath and then let it out. "so..." she said, she reached into her pocket and took out her ipod but then put it back in. She didnt want to seem bored.[/size]

"Music's fun, it's fun dancing around to it, granted, I can't dance... Unless you count Wushu, but that's more of a martial arts similar to that of Jackie Chan's moves," Kaiser said scratching his chin and wondered aloud, "I wonder if Jackie Chan can dance..."
He stared down at the Ipod, "Does everyone own one of those at this school? Because, seriously, I've seen everyone with them, granted, I'll be no different in a few days, because I'm getting a Zume, which is like... Seven and a half times better then an Ipod." He cherished the thought of the music player coming in the mail. Then laughed at a memory of him a few years ago when MP3 players and Ipods came out, and how he swore he would never get one. Well, guess who lied? Granted, a Zume isn't an Ipod, but it is, so did he really lie to himself?

Ashley laughed, "Well my brother gave me this, so I cherish it and I love it more than anything" she said with a giggle. She took it out "My brother actually made it for me, but he used some peices of his old ipod so, I guess it could be considered as an i-pod"
It was orange, her second favorite color and had the qualities of an ipod and a digital camera. So she could listen to her music while taking pictures. It didnt look half bad either, in fact it was gorguse!

"Sweet... I don't make things," Kaiser said, "okay, that's a lie, I did make my mom cookies once, or something weird like that. Granted, it was for something special, a birthday if I remember right.." He blinked a few times then slumped back in the bench, he stifled a yawn as he closed his eyes a little bit more. Damn, was he tired, granted, only a few more days till the weekend.
"What's today?" he asked randomly.

Ashley laughed at the cookie comment. "Um, I think its September 11th" she said then noticed that is was 9/11, such an important day in American history. "9/11' she repeated to her self.
The breeze blew giving her a sudden chill "Its cold" she declared with a smile. Well obviosly it's cold, she thought to herself.

Kaiser smiled slightly as the cool breeze whirled around him, "It's nice it least," he said closing his eyes. Then he opened his eyes and nodded his head. He stared down at his hands, how could he forget the date of today, of all days? After a few seconds of silence he looked back up at her and smiled slightly.
"So... Um... What classes are you in?" he asked, trying to start up a conversation. He wasn't exactly sure if he was being annoying or not, but hey, why not try and talk to some one? What's the worst that can happen? (Besides a fist in your face)
