Appearance:
Lucy Marie Truelove is the girl you would imagine singing into her hairbrush in front of a mirror in her bed room. Wearing a t-shirt and underwear belting out Mya's "My Love Is Like...Whoa" thinking she is hot shit. Of course after this was done she would inspect herself in the mirror making sure she looked perfect. This does not mean at all means she is perfect, she has plenty of flaws, but right now? Lucy likes where she is and would rather much enjoy that right now, and just not worry about it until she needs to.
So, with her body; she's been a dancer since she was around three. She had started those classes with all the other little tots. She's always had a joy of performing in front of parents for 'recital night.' Dressing up cute little outfits and do the steps on a stage. Even if she was young and messign up, she still enjoyed it. As she grew older, especially sicne she started dance in Valkyrie's program. The workouts could get stressful and tiring, and Lucy just scuplted into a dancer's body. Looking like she did many sports, besides just dance. She doesn't mind the dancer's body she has to keep up with. She'll go out with some other dancer friends while they'll all share a small fry, Lucy will eat the big mac. Sure it may take her a few days to work off those calories but she'll go all out just to prove the point that you can still eat what you want.
Moving onto her face, Lucy has a very distinct look about her that makes her an unforgetable face. Most of the time she has a natural tan from being outside a lot, but sometimes she does look paler than usual. But she has a darker complextion most of the time with light pale blue eyes. With semi-full lips and arching eyebrows, some say her features are almost cat-like, and they very well are memorable features for someone to meet Lucy. Her hair is brown, and has stayed that way since the day she was born. She might add highlights, but those are temporary. But what she does with her hair, is all up to her. She might go curly one day, and pin-straight the next. Since she has such blank hair, she can do so many things with it, and half the time not scared to go scary with it. She even goes through the hair magazines on spare days and will try to do the styles with that. She's werid, but what can you say? The girl loves her hair.
Her style is very...dancey. She is always dancing and you could see her walking into the grocery store wearng a leotard and tights topped off with a shrug and skirt. Though she seems to where her dance clothes 'day and night' she does where what you could say 'normal clothes'. Jeans and a t-shirt, or even some regular old sweatpants. She also dresses up when she goes out to parties or club-hopping, wearing cocktail dresses, or evening gowns that all use to be her mother's.
Personality:
A Little Bit Two-Faced
The oddest thing is Lucy does not fake it at all. Prentends to be nice, but really is a cold-hearted bitch. If it's hard to belive she is actually both. The trait just shows differently around certain people. Her softer side is always shown in front of the aduts, while her rougher side in always in front of her peers. But, when you get close to her, and I mean really close, do you see that Lucy is both. Her dad can't see it. But close friends and her brother can see right through her.
What The Adults See:
Kind, Do-Gooder, Girl Next Door.
Kind: Lucy always has a smile on her face that seems to lift the room up into feeling happier. She does the nicest things for people and knows her manners well. She knows when thigns are appropriate to say, and when the comment shouldn't be said out loud. People can depend on her to get things done, and even when it doesn't appeal to her, she still has that smile on her face and does it without complaining.
Do-Gooder: She loves to help the community. She's big into volunteer work. She helps out with at the Animal Shelter on weekends, since she loves animals. Helps clean up parks of litter since she is Al Gore's number one fan when it comes to the enviornment. Is a candy-striper at the hospital. And reads to the sick children at the hospital, because she loves little kids. She loves to help pople not as fortunate to do things she can do. She always finds time to do these things sometime during the week, even if it does get tough with dancing and schoolwork. This shows that Lucy is very driven on what projects she is involved in, and won't give up on them when her personal life gets a little hetic.
Girl Next Door: She's a girl where everyone knows who her father is. Knows what happened to her brother, and knows (or doesn't) what the fuck is wrong with her older brother. You know she's sweet. And from what the adults think, she si the one they want their sons to bring home to meet. Funny you could be confused when you are sitting next to her as she is being the sweetest little thing in front of the 'rents while you expect her to be a little more...darker than she is acting now. Of course most guys just think she is being like this because she knows how to behanve herself in front of parents, but no. She's just like this in real life.
What The Students See:
Loud. Outrageous. Persuasive.
Loud: Ever since she was a little girl, she was constantly running that voice of hers, and sometimes it gets in one of those 'look at meee' voices where she laughs loudly so people turn around and look at her and her friends. Sometimes it gets to the annoying part, but she doesn't care, her friends and her peers are use to her 'out there' presence and it's funny that some people enjoy her company.
Outrageous: When she has fun, she has fun. Everynight when she goes out with friends, itt's like a full-out VMA afterparty with her friends. She goes out to take her mind off things, and parties like it's 1999. She does some pretty crazy thigns that sometimes, she doesn't remember where she is or how she got there. Sadly, Lucy could be the girl that you see passed out on your front lawn next to that pink flamingo and the toliet paper people used to teepee the house the night before. She might be known as one of the notorious party-girls of Valkyrie, but once again she doesn't care, as long as she's having fun.
Persuasive: Lucy, is a girl that is a persuasive, vindictive girl. Yup, when she sees something she wants, she thinks it through to how she wants it to go. She's a thinker. She doesn;t go 'balls to the wall' the first time. No, things like that need a plan. Carefully thought through plans. Even if it may take longer. If you want it to be successful and work, you had to do it the right way. She can be very persuasive when it comes to getting things. A little bit of seudcing here, a little tiny lie there and she is in faster than hacker into a computer. She's got the skills and knows how to use them.

History:
Twisted love stories make great stories to tell your kids. But this one was screwed over from the getgo. Roger was a young police officer, new on the job in New York City where he was born and rasied his whole life. One of his first cases happened to be about some prostitutes getting murdered in the territory that Roger often patrolled at with his partner. That's when Officer Truelove ran into a prostitute nameChantel who said she had been attacked. After discovering her real name was Annabelle, she helped witht he police investigation since she knew what the attacker looked like. The young woman was a woman that had been in and out of foster homes until she was eighteen and out of the system, out to start her life. The troubled young woman never got far enough and ended up selling her body to pay for rent and drugs. But, for some reason, the attack really opened her eyes and she wanted to change. Ditch the old life style she had been living since the age of eighteen. Now at twenty, neary twentyone she was an emotional mess. And mistake number one for Officer Truelove? It was to help her get the help she needed.
They caught the guy that was killing the prostitutes after a grueling three-week search and long trial, but even after Annabelle cleaned up and was getting treatment in a rehab center, Roger was still visiting her, making sure the young woman was ok. Never would they expect that the two would eventually fall in love. Actually, they fell so in love that they ended up getting married less than a year later. And at twenty-two Annebelle popped out their first child, Frederick Lee Truelove. Oh, but it was tough with a recovering mother, working father, and living in New York City, but the family managed to do what they could to support their family. Four years after that, Lucy Marie Truelove was born and their little family was complete. Both the siblings were joyous toddlers, always getting into things and laughing all the time. They were very happy babies.
Well, all good things come to an end, and the wrong people found out about Roger and Annabelle's relationship went public. 'Police Officer And Ex-Prostitute' sure caught the headlines. It was- what? Five years after the case had been closed and suddenly it was headline news again? It wasn't making sense to the Trueloves. All Roger's co-workers knew about it. But, the man who found guilty's lawyer wanted to stir the pot up a bit and accuse Roger for having a romantic relationship with Annabelle under the trial. It was all a mess, that eventually Roger wanted to get out of. After the charges were dropped of not enough evidence, Roger packed up his family, and his life. And moved three-thousand miles away from New York City and into where his Unlce and Aunt lived in Valkyrie, California. Roger's uncle was none other than the current police captain for Valkyie and after Roger met all the requirements, Roger went right back onto what he was doing...being an officer, though he was really surprised at the corruptions of the police station in Valkyrie. He knew Valkyrie wasn't New York City but he definitely didn't accept the cash to turn the other cheek once a kid with a trust-fund was drining underage.
Freddy and Lucy were growing up to be bantering siblings, but that really didn't mean anything. They teased each other, yes, but that what made them click. They made friends quickly with other kids their age and got into sync with things they liked to do. Lucy's was dance. Freddy's was music.
Lucy was loud, obnoxious, and ran her mouth for too long. She liked to play the 'sweet and innocent' card to her parents while acting like a complete brat to her classmates. It was a wonder how she even got friends in the first place since she was constantly picking on kids. She was the cutest little bully you would ever see. And she helf up the 'good girl' facade quite nicely when the adults were around. It's not that she was unhappy with her life. That was just her personality.
Then, the worst thing could happen to a girl at only 13. She was in school that day, still in eighth grade when she was called down to the principle's office. She thought she was in trouble, but it ended up the principle telling her, Annabelle, her mother was shot this afternoon in a gas station robbery. Lucy was so torn up about it. Her mom was her mom and now she was gone? Just like that? This event changed the Truelove family forever. Lucy latched onto her older brother who was also having a hard time with coping. Thier father blamed the police force in Valkyrie for not having proper security and the need to help people. Roger really pushed for tougher police enforcement, and once Lucy had entered highschool, Roger had become captain and he was sure trying to do the best he could with the crime n Valkyrie. Lucy changed after that. It took a horrible turn from once being just a little mean and yet happy to a nasty little girl but still so disgustingly sweet. She was having such a tough time at first, that she moved in with her family's best friends, The Hayes' temporarily while everythign was so up in the air for Lucy. She is great friends to both Daphne and Diem, to this day. She does appreaciate that they opened their home for her to live in, not that it 'calmed her down', it made her open her eyes more.
She started to steal things. It first started off as untagged gum at the grocery store, but ended up stealing hairbrushed from gym lockers, clothes from stores, moeny from fundrasiers, and even some of the school's property. She always kept thinking of her mother and how different it would be if she never died. Lucy lost a few friends during this change, but did keep a few good ones. Her closest friends can see the two-faced personality she has, but the rest of the school sees her as a bitchy, vindictive, alcholic dancer. But the comminuty of adults sees her as the do-gooding daughter of the police captain.
