character facts ,
full name: Wesley Hammond Morgan
gender: male
age: eighteen
school year: senior
art interest: sports – swimming / soccer
portrayed by: eddie redmayne
appearance:unless you knew the morgan siblings, you wouldn’t assume piper and Wesley were brother and sister. While piper is very blond with a clear complexion, Wesley’s hair is more auburn, his skin speckled with freckles. He takes after his father, while his little sister is more of his mother. On a ggod day his hair is more blond then red, but it changes so often wes just stopped paying attention. When he spends more time in the sun it lightens up, but these days it’s a rusty red colour, with hints of brown. The last couple years have seen it getting darker and darker, not that Wesley minds, while his sister loves her bright blond hair, he’d rather be as far from as he can. Wesley keeps his hair cut short, sometimes his bangs come down closer to his eyes, however this is only when he gets neglectful. Although generally Wesley doesn’t really care about how he looks – he just wakes up in the morning, runs his hands through his hair and goes, he can’t stand when it gets too long.
Standing at 5’10 and weighing just under 155 lbs, Wesley is not necessarily an intimidating guy. He has a lean frame, with wider shoulders from swimming competitively for years. He keeps fit, mostly because his only real interests include swimming and playing soccer, and his weight has never been an issue. Wesley, like most teenage boys, follows no diet and doesn’t monitor what he eats. Although his house is home to many expensive exercise machines, the swimming pool in the back yard is the only thing Wes has ever touched and he has no intention of doing anything else.
in wesley's family there isn’t too much emphasis on style. His mother may have been a model, his father a plastic surgeon who catered to the rich and famous, but in the morgan family there is no pressure to look good. Of course Andrew wouldn’t approve of either of his children walking around in rags, but as long as they are fully clothed and clean he could care less. Growing up Wesley looked like any other child, his clothing coming from the Gap and Old Navy, not the newest designer's line for kids. Raised mostly by his grandmother before her death, he was dressed like a normal little boy and not the Valks rich kid, dependent on labels child like some of his neighbours. Most often you'll find him in a simple jeans and tee, laid-back and comfortable. He doesn't like to be uncomfortable and his clothing reflects that.

character personality ,
personality:
BITTER
although Wesley himself is sick of the ‘poor little rich kid’ stereotype, there is no better way to describe his attitude. if you asked him, he’d deny that he has any sort of attitude problem at all. Wesley’s home life, although not necessarily tragic, is not very loving. His mother killed herself when he was still a baby – she had been suffering silently with post-partum depression and it got the best of her, leaving Wes and his younger sister with their father. Mr. Morgan did not take her death lightly, which is understandable but fifteen years later he still hasn’t gotten over her death, or forgiven his children. He has never outright blamed his kids but all three of them know just how he feels and as a result Wesley doesn’t feel too strongly for his father. He resents him for handling things the way he does, and mostly for the way he makes Wesley and Piper feel. Deep down he wishes he could have had a normal upbringing, much like some of his friends, wishes he had two parents and that his father wasn’t the psycho he is. Mostly he’s just bitter about the way things are, and the way things have effected his sister. He worries about her all the time.
DOESN’T CARE
Wesley has a very laid-back, ‘I don’t care’ type attitude when it comes to just about everything. School, life, girls, whatever it is Wesley just doesn’t give a shit. He’s passing his classes, but his grades are crap, he failed to get accepted to any college and has no idea what he’s planning to do next year. If you asked him how he felt about this, about his mother’s death, his sister’s permanent smile or his father’s neglect, he’d just shrug his shoulders, a smirk on his face and mutter something about how it’s all done know, there’s nothing he can do to change it. He goes through life with no expectations and therefore no chance to be let down. Every relationship he has, he puts energy into it but when it fails he’s not surprised. He cares for certain people, like his sister and many close friends and holds these relationships close, but after years of fighting with his father he’s just come to expect certain things and not care.
REBELLIOUS
ever since he was a little boy, Wesley has always been getting into trouble. Whether it was tracking mud through the house, or picking on his sister, Wesley has a rebellious nature. It probably has something to do with having a father who could care less and although he’s never deliberating gone out of his way to seek attention, there’s no doubt that all his acting up is the result of being pushed out of his dad’s life. He doesn’t do anything too daring, like criminal or anything like that, Wes just likes to piss people off - he always says he was born to disappoint his father and likes to live up to that. he didn’t purposely make it so he couldn’t get into college – he wants nothing more then to get out of here, although it is his fault his grades are the way they are, he swears he tried and if we could have helped he’d never be stuck in this position. Wesley knows his dad will be disappointed when he hears Wesley is going anywhere and he lives for that day – he can’t wait to see the look on his face and have the fight he know is coming.
WANNABE BADASS
with his acting up and obvious dislike for rules, Wesley likes walking around with an image that claims him to be a little bit of a badass. By definition he’s nothing of the sort, he’s just desperate for attention, but when others talk about his antics with even the slightest hint of admiration in their voice Wesley can’t help but get excited. He doesn’t like people to think of him as some pretty nancy boy (as his father would call him) and Wes admires the whole ‘bad boy’ persona. It seems to be his subconscious reasoning behind getting bad grades, and talking back to adults, even those he shouldn’t. some of his personal relationships are not too admirable – he’s cheated on girls and stabbed friends in the back (not real friends of course, Wesley would never do that). regardless he has his good days and his bad days, some of which he’s an asshole and other’s where he’s a nice guy.
INDEPENDENT / IMPATIENT
Growing up the oldest child of an absent father and a dead mother, one learns how to deal with other people who are not your family. They also learn, from an early age whether they are the type of person who likes and wants to spend time with others, or the type who would rather be on their own. Wesley is the later. Of course, he has friends and enjoys spending time with his them and his sister; he’s just never been one who needs to rely on others for fulfillment. He is completely ready to move out on his own and doesn’t feel like he needs assistance in any way. This independence he has has also warn his patience a little thin. He finds he can rely on himself and can deal with his own reluctance for things, but gets frustrated when other people make him wait.

character history ,
originated from: los angeles, california[/size]
parents:father andrew morgan, legendary plastic surgeon, fifty one
mother jasmine morgan, former television actress and model, deceased at twenty seven
siblings:brother piper morgan, sixteen
other: n/a
living situation: valks
history: (jasmine kennedy had never intended on getting plasic surgery, she was content with the way her body was. As a model she was used to getting crap for the way she looked, but she was also used to being worshipped for the way she looked. when she started acting her insecurities got worse as more people watch t.v. then pay attention to modeling campaigns, but still in her mind it didn’t give her an excuse to undergo surgery just to make herself feel better. So when she was in a car accident when she was twenty one and broke her nose far beyond repair she was a little scared to get a nose job. however, with this accident and injury she was introduced to andrew morgan, a thirty two year old plastic surgeon originally from maine who moved to la so that his talents were put to better use, who would become the love of her life and also her cause of death.
they were married two years later in a lavish ceremony held in beverly hills with many famous faces watching. Andrew and jasmine were happy in the beginning, just like any couple is, but they were two Type A personalities in a constant power struggle between themselves and things never got easier. It was the birth of their first child, a baby boy, Wesley Hammond Morgan that brought them out of their funk. The baby seemed to remind them of why they came together in the first place, how much they loved each other. It was three months after wesley’s birth that the network carrying the show that made jasmine famous was cancelled. Her modeling career had taken a back seat after she started acting and then with getting married and getting pregnant the tv show was her only work. they moved from their condo in LA to a suburb outside of town and made an effort to work on their family. Andrew, the son of an oil executive, was still extremely active in his work and really didn’t want to move as it meant a longer commute, but he did so to make his wife happier.
Wesley was a happy baby, always smiling and cooing up at his parents. Thirteen months after his birth, Jasmine gave birth to her second child Piper Nicolette Morgan, a beautiful baby girl who arrived three days early. Wesley hasn’t been the center of attention since. He was really young when his sister was born and can’t remember a time when she wasn’t there. With Piper’s birth it was just like Wesley all over again, the infatuation with this tiny baby, the ability to forget all their problems and just enjoy their new baby. However, like a honeymoon the joy only lasted so long. This time it was harder to bounce back. Jasmine struggled with having two young children, even with help, it still never seemed to be enough. Andrew would run off to his practice, spend hours in surgery, ignoring the situation at home. At the time he didn’t see the damage it was causing, he didn’t notice how depressed his wife really was, just thought it was the hormones and she’d bounce back. Jasmine was suffering from post-partum depression, brought on after her daughter’s birth.
Just before Wesley turned three, when Piper was no more then a year and a half, their mother killed herself. It wasn’t violent, there wasn’t any blood, no gunshot or anything like that. She overdosed on sleeping pills and died in the hospital after doctors made an attempt to save her. the press went nuts, the headlines were never ending, people accused Andrew of killing her, of ignoring her cries for help. It was a horrible time in the morgan household, one that Andrew never got over. After spending a couple months locked in the house, he emerged a workaholic leaving his two young children with around the clock nannies, pouring everything he had into his career. It’s not that Andrew didn’t love his children, of course he did, he just loved his wife more and in his eyes these two little beings were the reason his wife was dead. If she had never had children, her hormones wouldn’t have been all out of wack like they were, she wouldn’t have been overwhelmed with being a new mother and constantly sleep deprived.
The day his mother died was the day Wesley’s relationship with his father completely lost everything. While piper is trying to get him to love her and be open with their family, Wesley has completely given up hope. He could care less about the man and shows no effort to conceal it. as soon as Andrew Morgan began to pour all his energy into his work and employed a nanny and choose his work and social life over his children he forfeited his relationship with his son.
When Wesley was four, Andrew moved the family once again, this time coming to Valkyrie, California. It was a lot farther from work then he would have liked, but it removed his kids from the city where their mother killed herself and moved him out of that house. They were far enough away yet still close enough. Andrew was looked into after his wife’s death, standard procedure and with all the rumors circulating about the strained relationship and his infamous temper led to a more in depth investigation. In the end it was ruled a suicide, but Andrew never got over it. he was embarrassed and terrified that people thought he was capable of killing his wife, and as much as the move to Valkyrie was for his children, it was more so for him, he could still work in LA but there was no way he was going to live there too, he was sick and tired of all the crap.
Moving into the too large mansion on Prince Philip Drive was the end of Andrew’s relationship with his children and Wesley has spent the last thirteen years trying to piss his dad off. He, along with his sister, was raised primarily by nannies until he was nine, then her grandmother (father’s mother) moved in. She did the best she could, but no one could expect an seventy seven year old woman to fully take care of two young children. Wesley’s grandmother was the only blood related mother figure Wes has ever known and he had endless respect for the woman. To this day he’s grateful of what that women did for their family. Wesley’s grandma tried numerous times to talk some sense into her son, she wouldn’t have him abandon his very own children just because he was depressed, but it never worked and when she died at the age of eighty soon after Wesley turned twelve of an unexpected heart attack. Things went right back to normal, or well how they had been and things have never gotten better. It was after her grandmother passed away that Wesley’s attitude problem really came into play.
As a pre-teen Wesley was a little shit head, always causing trouble. Whether it was something little like making a mess or bugging his sister or egging his neighbours house, Wesley has a little bad boy in him. These days it’s a lot more exaggerated then it was back then, but that’s only because of the reaction it all got him. The lectures he received from his father, the threats of military school and being sent away, Wesley lived for those. He would yell and scream back, slam doors and swear at the old man, accuse him of being a bad father and threaten all sorts of things. It was the only time Wesley was really honest with the man and even though he wasn’t scared of him he couldn’t bring himself to say the things he wanted any other time. As he grew up, moving from elementary school to high school it kept up but his antics calmed down. Instead of being bad, he just stayed away from the house all together, he felt bad leaving his sister all alone but he just hated being there.
As Wesley got older he calmed down a lot, he’s still the restless impatient little boy he was back then, but as he came into high school and realized how important images were in this town he knew he had to smarten up. Through the ninth grade he tried his hardest to come off as a normal kid, one with a normal family. He did well in school, made quite few friends, started getting involved in sports – basically tried his hardest to remain happy. He had began to notice his sister and the way she was affected by everything and for the first time acknowledged that he wasn’t the only one being ignored in their family and maybe it was even worse for Piper. She was a bright, smart young girl who didn’t need to be unhappy. As he got older, and even though Piper is not much younger then him, he has felt a strong desire to protect her and make sure that she was happy.
As he became a sophomore and later a junior he stopped caring so much about what other people thought and just acted how he felt. Instead of trying to be this pretty, popular guy that he was turning out to become, he withdrew a little. He still has a lot of his friends from those days and still swims religiously but he’s no longer hiding who he is and trying to pretend his family is something it’s not. He knows Piper is stuck in this delusional state and thinks she’d be better off if she snapped out of it, just like he did. He’s back to his rebellious ways, which recently include not getting into college (a really stupid move on his part because no matter how much it’ll piss his dad off it’s leaving him here, stranded with no where to go), and his old dramatics.
Wesley is in his final year of highschool now and nothing’s really changed. He doesn’t care what people think of him and wants nothing more then to get out of here. he’s very protective of his younger sister and is constantly worrying about the things she gets herself into. He’s still picking fights with his father, and nowadays it’s the only communication the two men do. While his sister is trying to bring them all together Wesley is trying to do everything to leave it all behind. He failed to get into a university next year and at first it led to some good fights with his dad, but has now left him stranded. He doesn’t know what he’s going to do – might travel, will probably get a job but is reluctant to leave his sister all alone. He’s considering sticking around just another year after graduation, mostly for his sister’s sake. All in all Wesley is an athletic, bitter, sometimes self-hating young man. He regrets the way his family life is and is trying to do all he can to protect his sister.
