Rebecca isn't one of those people who spend a lot
of time dressing up. She enjoys being comfortable,
and can be seen, on occasion, coming to school in
a pair of sweatpants or something similar. In this
aspect, she doesn't mind her parent's social status,
or lack thereof. Becca does dress up on occasion,
and likes to go dancing. Even with her internal
personality, dancing was something she just
couldn't get rid of. Within the parties and clubs
at Valkyrie you'll find her, drinking or dancing,
looking like she never does during the day time.

Sporty:
Becca loves sports. Running is considered her
ultimate high. When she's not drunk, that is.
Anyways. Rebecca's appearance is that of a
girl who spends a lot of time outside. Her skin
generally tanned, her figure thin and flexible.
Becca's hair is turned a light blonde by the sun,
but some of her natural brown highlights show
now and again. It's not something that bothers
her, like it might with most people. She thinks it
gives her hair a more depth and tone, as well
as brings out the dark brown tones in her eyes.

A Slice Of The South:
Coming from New Mexico, Becca lived on a fairly
large farm, spending a lot of time around animals.
On those days that she decides to wear jeans,
which is about as often as she wears sweat pants,
boots can be found on her feet, and a cowboy hat
on the seat of her truck. She's from the south, which
is one of the things she's not ashamed to admit. Her
southern drawl gets a few odd looks from people,
but she keeps it proudly, and will kick ass if anyone
makes too much fun of it.

Personality:
Funny:
Considering all that has happened in her life, Rebecca
has a wonderful sense of humor. She loves to laugh,
and make other people laugh in the process. Unlike
a lot of people, she loves her smile, and will show it
off on those occasions that brings her to forget her
worries. Which, in general, is around those people
who know her secret, or the friends she has known
for a while. Not a lot, considering she was quite the
loner upon coming to Valkyrie Academy. Not exactly
the best way to fit into a place like California.

Brilliant:
Becca is attending Valkyrie on one of the few
scholarships that the school offers. Unlike the
others that might have come here in a similar
situation, Becca is here on a science scholarship.
She has loved everything about science for as long
as she can remember. She was one of those little
kids you would find digging up worms, frogs or other
bugs just to find out how they lived. Her main scientific
love is that of the human anatomy, and she hopes
to someday become an orthopedic surgeon upon
graduating medical school.

Calm:
Not much can get Becca upset. She had always been
a calm child, never getting too upset at the petty drama
that her fellow classmates ranted about for days.
With the exception of her past abuse, Becca finds that
where people would get mad and hold grudges, eventually
she can laugh about the petty bad things that might
happen. After all, a lot worse could...And has had...
occurred in her life in the past. Since then, she hasn't
really found a point in getting angry at people about
things that might not matter a week from now.

Alcoholic:
Like a lot of her classmates, Rebecca likes to drink.
Unlike her classmates, she hides the amount she
actually drinks from everyone. People will see her
drink now and again, at parties or while hanging out.
They might think her a social drinker, but when her past
comes back to haunt her, Becca has been known
to pass out for hours at a time after drinking heavily.
In all honesty, she should probably be in therapy,
and probably would be if her parents found out about
her drinking issues. Or if anyone found out, for that matter.

History:
Rebecca Rose Sorenson was born to the loving John
and Danika late on May the 19th of 1990. After being
in labor with the restless baby for going on three
weeks, the couple was glad to see their baby alive
and very healthy. Even though they had never been
exactly 'well off', the Sorenson's tried to give their
baby girl everything that they could. She started
soccer at the age of five, and had immediately loved
the game. Throughout the years, this fact has never
changed. Becca is, and always has been, an avid
sports player, and can be seen running around the
track as much as she can, and in the gym when she can't.

Growing up in New Mexico, Rebecca fell in love with
everything about the south. She developed a
taste for spicy foods at a young age, and like most
girls, began to love horses. She still does, and now
and then goes down to the stables to ride, or just
sit with the horses that Valkyrie Academy owns,
brushing them. Not being able to pay dorm fees,
she also works in the stables for a little money
now and again, on top of school work and one
other job.

In fact, it seemed that the only thing that Becca
didn't like about her life is the fact that they
aren't rich like most of the other families in Valkyrie,
California. Sure, she dresses fashionably enough,
but most of the clothes are second hand. Hiding
the fact that she had to come on scholarship,
Becca tells a lot of people that she came to
Valkyrie because her father got a big raise. Her
mother, upon discovering this, scorns Becca for
saying so. "Be proud." She always tells her daughter.
As hard as she tries, Becca can't help but feel that
people would look down on her if they found out
about her parent's financial situation.

The Sorenson family lived in Las Lunas until
Becca was almost sixteen. Upon turning fifteen,
the naive girl had gotten herself an older boyfriend.
It was an amazing feat for a freshman, except for the
fact that the guy wasn't exactly what one would
call an acceptable boyfriend. He started sexually
abusing the girl a few months after they had
started dating. She pushed it off though, not telling
anyone what was actually happening between
the two. Eventually, Becca unwillingly lost her
virginity to him. The process left her with a broken
hand, which was something she couldn't hide from
her attentitive parents.

Becca and her family immediately moved from
Las Lunas, but only after Becca insisted that
they didn't tell the police about what had happened.
She really didn't want to have to deal with all
of that, and her parents reluctantly agreed.
The event left her in a severe state of depression,
cringing if anyone touched her at all, and mostly
keeping to herself. They lived with her aunt and
uncle in Chyanne, Wyoming for a few years. It was
there, three months later, that Becca recieved her
acceptance letter from Valkyrie Academy.

They moved again within the month, and Becca
started Valkyrie Academy at the age of sixteen,
just six months after her ordeal. She was still
a quiet girl, keeping mostly to her studies. After
a few weeks though, she made a couple of friends
and started going to parties. It was then that
she discovered the realease that came with
drinking in excessive amounts. Since, she has
had a severe problem with alcohol, especally
on those nights when her nightmares come back to
haunt her.
