appearance:
The Hair:
Tucker's mass of dark hair is something that he prides himself in as well, mainly because the style is something that he can pull off easily. The windblown style is one that he can just get out of the shower and do. Obviously the best style for a blind guy, besides just keeping it short, which isn't a style at all according to him, but a cop out. He also likes to keep a little facial hair along his upper lip and his chin. Nothing too extravagant, that would make him look like a bum, but just enough so that you know it's there. Unfortunately, Claire has to help him keep it trimmed, but he was slowly learning how to do it himself.
The Face:
Tucker has always been told that he has a gorgeous face. Made up of strong lines, every bone on his face meets up at a mostly proportional angle. The only thing he doesn't like about his own face is his eyebrows, which both just seem to make an absolutely straight line across his face. At least, from what he can remember. Girls have especially told him that he has gorgeous eyes. The green-grey color wasn't lost at all during the accident, which the doctors told him was rare. He was thankful for it though, at least now people might not notice his blindness first thing. The eye color also brings out his darker skin-tone, which would, with any other color, probably look rediculous.
The Body:
There was a point in time where Tucker sort of gave up on staying in shape. While he was in the hospital, he skipped out on using the gym with the rest of the people in physical therapy, and he started to get out of shape and lazy. But, on the doctor's orders, Tucker's mother bought him a personal trainer to come and get him back into shape. The doctor had been concerned that Tucker's lack of modivation would effect his outlook on life, and might bring him to suicide. Working out not only worked for its purpose, but worked to get him back into the game of life. It was then that he took up dancing, which helps to keep his thinner body in shape. He's never understood the people that, just because they have a disability, give up on life, and give up on staying healthy. So, Tucker does his best not to give up on either of them.
The Clothes:
As far as fashion goes, Tucker is honestly pretty useless at picking things out, and always has been. He relies on Claire and his other friends to keep him well dressed and crisp looking, although he does have an opinion on what he wants to wear on a daily basis. Usually he chooses a plain old cotton tee shirt or long sleeved shirt, with some sort of jacket or something over it. He enjoys not looking grungy all the time, and actually likes having a sense of fashion, even if he can't pick out a brown shirt from a red. Yes, Tucker still manages to have a full blown ego when it comes to his looks, even with the lack of eyesight.

character personality ,
personality:
Genius:
While Claire and his brothers were always the creative types, Tucker has always been a huge fan of math and science. It was just something he was good at, and that he loved doing. You could say that he was the typical small kid who would lock himself in his room, away from his babysitter, listen to Mozart or Bach for hours at a time, doing extra math. As he got older, this caused him some trouble with teasing, but he couldn't help it; he was one of those special few who sincerely enjoyed school. For obvious reasons, his love for science has had to ebb a little, but he still manages to do math, just not well enough to keep his original Mathmatics major.
Adorable:
Yes, that's been the way many girls have marked Tucker. There really is no other way to describe a man who will walk up to a girl he knows moderately well and give her a hug of greeting, or pull her chair out for her, even if they aren't "together" or whatever. He's a gentleman, born and raised, and is proud to be such. In his eyes... So to speak... There aren't enough gentlemen in the world, let alone in Valkyrie. He's the guy that you can always count on to bring you soup if you're sick, or help you out in any way he can. He seems to take it upon himself to take care of his friends in any way he can.
Fighter:
Tucker is incapable of being as physically active as a lot of people. He can't run; he'd run into people or things. He can't swim; he has a terrible fear of water any deeper than a bath tub because of a child hood accident. So, he's chosen to continue a hobby of his. Fighting. Being teased so much as a kid taught Tucker to be strong, both physically and mentally. There were weeks when he'd come home with a bloody nose and blackened eye. Picking it out in the streets was the kind of thing that his father encouraged. "It's a sign of being a man," he used to tell his son with a pat on the shoulder, while his mother just tended to his wounds without saying anything. When his eyesight was lost, he thought his fighting carreer was over. On the contrary, not being able to physically see his opponent gave him less hesitation. Now, he could merely feel where his opponent was on the floor or ground; hear their breath and the way the air whipped around their fists, and know how to dodge it. He doesn't fight often anymore; only when his temper really gets away with him.
Temperate:
Since he was a small kid, Tucker has had to know when to keep himself restrained. Being outspoken and opinionated himself, he was quickly taught how to keep his thoughts internalized. He knows how to behave at both fancy dinners and racous parties, and has learned to enjoy them both. All this being said, Tucker has been known for having a huge anger problem when his temper does finally snap. After he found fighting, his psychiatrist even reccomended he keep up the sport, if only to keep his anger from bursting out, causing him to do something crazy.

character history ,
originated from: New York[/size]
parents:Devon and Whitney Bartnett
siblings: Simon Bartnett -- Brother -- Seventeen
Leo Bartnett -- Brother -- 23
other:Claire Bartnett -- Cousin -- Seventeen
living situation: Shaks with the Bartnett Family.
history:
Pre-Tucker:
Devon Bartnett and Whitney Hughes weren't the most likely couple. They had gone to high school together, and never bothered to hide their hate from each other or anyone else for that matter. They were both salutorians upon graduation, with scowls on their faces due to their tied grade point averages. Ironically, they both were accepted to Harvard University Law school. In the fall of their freshman year, for reasons unknown, both began to see each other in a new light. And as in stories like this, it was the work of love that made them hate each other. So, Devon asked his one-time enemy out to dinner, and that was that.
They were married in the summer of 1983. It was a small ceremony, mostly due to the fact that Devon's young bride was already due to have a baby in January. Leo Bartnett was born healthy and on time, with loving parents who had just moved to the New York area to find law firms to work in. Even though he had everything he ever wanted, the young Leo dearly wished to have someone to share with. And in April of 1987, Leo was granted a younger brother.
Birth:
Tucker was born a month and a half pre-mature, but was surprisingly completely healthy. For a while, however, he had to get regular check ups to make sure all of his vital organs were in check. But he was as healthy a baby as he possibly could be. Leo was extatic at first, but the young child didn't realize how much attention babies needed, and how much attention he would no longer be getting. So after a few months, Leo had decided to no loner acknowledge his little brother, even when he started getting older.
Childhood:
After their brother Simon was born in 1990, this half of the Bartnett family decided to stop having children. Unlike his older brother did with him, Tucker took Simon under his three year old wing, and a they got older, the pair became more and more seperate from Leo, who was still pouting over the lack of attention. The three Bartnett children were joined by Claire, their cousin for a few brief months while she and their uncle got their act together. Claire was the same age as Simon, so she and the two younger Bartnett boys got along famously, with Leo sitting in the background and getting more and more sullen by the year.
Teenage:
When Tucker hit his middle and high school years, things with Leo started getting out of hand. His elder sibling was the main instigator of young Tucker's teasing, and the origin of his fighting. Leo was the one who told Tucker's classmates that he holed himself up in his room for hours at a time listening to symphonic music. Of course this wasn't the coolest thing to do for adolescents. At first, Tucker didn't really know who had started the accusations, but when he found out that it was his own brother that did it, he went a little crazy and ended up duking it out with his own brother in the middle of the school yard. Neither one got in too much trouble, except from their parents.
Otherwise, Tucker led a very normal teenage life. He ran track and fought in brawls around town. When Tucker was in his sophomore year in high school, the Bartnett family moved to Valkyrie, California with the other side of the family to find new, more interesting work. While his mom and dad got settled in a new firm, Tucker and Claire got closer, and they spent more time together than with his other siblings. Leo and Simon settled in fairly well, even if Leo did continue to be sulky aYou could say that, by his senior year at V-side, he was fairly popular. He had pleanty of friends, a supportive family, and was on the fast track to going to an Ivy League school for his mathmatics and science. But, as we all know, nothing can really go that well for long in v-side.
The Explosion:
If you ask Tucker about what happened to his eyes, he'll only tell you that there was an accident. Any more than that, and he'll hole up and change the subject. What he won't tell you was that it wasn't his fault, even if he makes it seem like it was. During his senior year, he was in his AP Chemestry class when a bunson burner got out of control and burned his eyes. It was one of those freak accidents that didn't usually happen, but nevertheless, he was rushed to the hospital for severe burns, but the doctors said he would never be able to see again.
Journey to V-Side:
He stayed in the hospital in Valkyrie for three weeks before he was sent to Virginia for rehabilitation. It was there he learned to see without seeing, and got over his depression. He learned to fight and to keep up in school. Tucker would relate it to being born again. It was like he had to learn to live all over again. But, after a year and a half, he had his bag packed and was ready to go back home to dear old V-side. In order to be closer to their son, Devon had packed up his family and moved to Virginia, and didn't agree with Tucker's returning to California.
Tucker was never really one for listening to his parents (A mark of a true v-sider), so he made a call to his dear old cousin Claire. She and his uncle were happy to have him, so Tucker hopped on a plane and skipped on off to California, leaving his parents a note. When he landed and got settled, he didn't makea big thing of coming home, and his parents sent him a monthly allowance; enough for him to get a car quick enough, and to keep his uncle happy. He's been back in Valkyrie for somewhere around four months, and is definately ready to get things going again.
