Thousands of years ago, the Mayans prophesied the end of the world. Exactly how this apocalypse would take place, they were unclear of. However, the date was, and it was burned into the brains of every human being living on the earth at that time: December 21, 2012.
Not many really believed that 2012 would be the end of the world. In their hearts, they thought they had more time to live. However, at 12:01 AM on December 21, earthquakes struck, volcanoes erupted, tsunamis hit, and all other natural disasters wreaked havoc on the world. Buildings, nature, and life as it was known were sent crumbling to the ground.
On the West Coast, a small, rural area in Oregon managed to provide some survivors. Some were there to visit the Russian River, the area's main tourist attraction, and others lived there all their lives. Their homes and towns were destroyed, but they managed to find clothes and non-perishable foods that were intact. Small animals were able to survive as well, providing food.
This small group of people need to work together to survive. The eldest of the group were appointed as the leaders of the new civilization, giving jobs to all the survivors based on their skills. Everyone must to their part so the world can be reborn.
