MR. DANTE ABERNATHY-MCALLISTER

- - - alrighty, please welcome mr. dante jamison abernathy-mcallister. dante is nineteen years old, a twin, the oldest twin, and basically you average all-around guy. he's had it rough since birth. dante was born with a heart defect that had him rushed into surgery minutes after the cord was cut. afterwards he got an infection and was hospitalized a total of about two months before he was able to be released. his mother has never really been fond of him since. lorraine abernathy-mcallister was taught from a very young age that everything about her life had to be perfect. she had to perfect, her children had to be perfect, everything. when dante was born she saw him as nothing more than defective and had since sworn off of him. that was the way dante was raised. he watched from the sidelines as his mother showered his sister with love and only gave him the most basic of attention.

- - - he didn't let that get to him. since he was a small child, dante has given up on getting any kind of reaction or concern from his mother. he's pretty much grown up only having had attention from his father and his loving sister. dante's relationship with rowan is anything but strained. even when they were in two different cliques in high school, the pair were still joined at the hip. they talk about everything and know everything about one another. she supports him through anything and basically dante loves her to death.

- - - he's no where near as social as his sister because of how he was raised. in school dante only had one or two really close friends that he hung out with aside from his sister and that was fine by him. he's a bit of a loner but he's so laid back that if a person really tried hanging out with him and being his friend he wouldn't put up a fight or try to stop them. he smokes, a bad habit he picked up from his friends, and he's no stranger to booze. he's basically just your every-day couch potato. though he doesn't appear to have any emotions, it's really not true. it just takes a little more effort to get to know him than it would for most people. deep down he's a bit of a romantic but there was only one girl he was remotely serious about and that didn't last more than two months. he's not inexperienced, he just doesn't give his heart out to every one-nighter he has.

MS. ROWAN VIDA ABERNATHY-MCALLISTER

- - - so this is miss all-american herself. rowan's a spitfire, a loyalist, a sweetheart, and a southern belle all rolled into one. from the moment she speaks you'll know where she's from because of the southern twang to her voice. she's always smiling, she just can't help herself, and she'd definitely one of the most sweet girls you'll ever meet. rowan's the kind of girl who will say hello to anyone who looks like they need a pick-me-up or will walk an old ladies' groceries to her car just to make sure she won't hurt herself. she definitely stands out in valkyrie. she's big into charity work, especially around the holidays, and she does it for more reasons than just because it looks good on a college application or resume.

- - - she adores her older brother and has always stood by his side since she could remember. she knows that what her mother did was completely and utterly wrong but she makes a point to never pity dante. she hangs out with him simply because she loves him and because she wants to, and she never gives him the opportunity to doubt her. she's a freshman at VU currently enrolled as an anthropology major with a minor in political science just to keep her father happy. because you have to have some vague interest in politics when your father is a major political player. hector mcallister is a fifth generation politician, being in the office for his third term the senator from georgia. rowan had the feeling that he'll someday want to run for president.

- - - when you look up sweetheart in the dictionary, you'll find rowan's picture and thus i would hope she'd have a lot of friends. she's had plenty growing up in school and this would no doubt continue on once she hit college. she's super confident in herself without being cocky. you can blame her pageant history for that. from the age of about ten all the way up until her senior year in high school, rowan was put in pageants by her mother. she's since stopped doing them and her mother has given her the cold shoulder, but as long as rowan has her brother she's sure she'll live, haha. she's a big romantic. she loves the idea of flowers and chocolates and more than some of the come-ons she's seen since she's gotten to valkyrie. she definitely leans more toward mature guys because let's face it, she couldn't really handle someone as childish as some of the guys in valkyrie. let's just say she's very used to the "southern gentlemen" of georgia and is in for a rude awakening.

well, as for friends, i think gray - whom i really need to finish - should be his pal. they're both pretty laidback about most things, and he likes people who aren't insane. he didn't get a whole lot of attention as a child, either. stayin' in the family, indie wouldn't like him. not at first, anyway. she's all about the ambition, that one. if she isn't doing something productive, she's dead. that could possibly be amusing, rofl. maybe remy? she sort of walks all over the place, and most of the people she's around are pretty similar to dante. in the last several years, she's gotten pretty chill about the people she associates herself with, anyway. xD crappy childhoods ftw. or, crappy parents ftw? her childhood wasn't exactly terrible. i wouldn't have minded having it. anyway. man, my characters really aren't open to people. this is making this difficult. oh well. we SO don't plot enough. it's a crime, really.

wellll...a lot of the flingers wouldn't like him? xD OH. carter! i think he should be friends with dante. dude, they're totally similar. and i just sounded like a surfer. cool. despite carter's lack of chill...acidy. he's pretty apathetic when it comes to life in general. uhm yeah. my brain is deciding to turn off any sense of intertestingness. wooow...this is the worst response i've done in awhile. maybe i sparked something? xD the mentioned flingers are probably the only ones who would even consider striking up some random conversation, anyway. or family connections. -headdesk- sorry this is so damn useless.

ROWAN !

i saw her VS commerical earlier today. xD again, my brain is turned off. so this will probably be a whole lot of word vomit.

now, one thing the flingers are not is sweet. shame. anyway. shouldn't stop some of my characters wanting to be her friend. she seems like the type who's friends with pretty much everyone, anyway. like i said somewhere up there, remy and indie jump to mind first. they're really the most open-minded of my characters. thus, open to wanting to get to know her. i think it could be fun x] everyone needs a slightly insane friend, don't they? ooh, indie's going to become pretty into charity work, too. give her a little time to stop being a fashion slave, and for her plots with haley to begin rolling, but yeah. she's a hippie at the end of the day. they should totally bond over that.<3 or have a class together? she goes to VU, too. although it's a completely different major, people seem to have random classes sometimes. xD like my studying french history in a culinary course? yeah.

a lot of the flingers would want to corrupt her, heh. i think it could be interesting to plot rowan in some of my irish kids? despite the whole mafia thing. they're the nicest of the flingers. xD nate included. aw, they should? just ignore the whole lonely drug dealer thing he's got going on. at the end of the day, he's one of the decent ones. future lawyer and all. and despite his tendancy to mess everything up. rowan's totally one of the people he would be surprised by. no confidence in the human race, finding a decent human being with an actual heart. ooor, river's pretty similar. although he's reckless and doesn't actually think about...anything. he doesn't like seeing good people getting caught up in anything. november would just...yeah. xD she wouldn't like her.

lmao it was a little word vomit-y but nothing i can't decipher. as for dante, yeah i love the name too. pulled it off of a soap like i do just about everything nowadays. anyways, he'd probably like gray. what's not to like right? a guy with the same personality just shlumping around aimlessly with him. woohoo! you know, you just have to finish him first, hehe. but no rush, you know me, i channel dante as much as possible. dante would never make any attempts to hold indie back. as long as she doesn't try and change him or, god forbid, perk him up he'd be fine just watching her hop around like a bunny on crack. hell it would probably amuse him. i can see dante and remy getting along. i like that idea. he really only had one crappy parent, though the other was gone a lot so you could count both, but if she told him about it they'd bond over it. probably nothing serious but they can fart around and be bad childhood-mates together.

you did sound like a surfer, but i forgive you xD. and you'll have to pardon how ignorant this sounds but...who's carter? gah i feel like such a noob. but yeah if the two of them will get along then i'm for it. i don't expect dante to be getting too many friends so i'm going to grab them while i can, lol.


as for rowan, this was the same issue we had when i first made sarai. she probably wouldn't get along with many of your folks, but hey, it's always worth a shot. she would get along with indie, cuz she at least tries with everyone. i like the idea of them having some whackadoo class together. maybe they're assigned a group project together and friends kind of go from there? eh, my mind is fail today too. just look at how long it took me to get this plot page up. i can definitely see her being friends with remy, especially if she and dante are friends. it just makes a whole lot more sense that way. because if dante likes you enough to make an effort to hang out, well you have to be worth it xD.

a lot of the flingers can try, but rowan's got a pretty good sense about who she is. still she'd probably try anything once as long as she didn't get an iffy vibe from it and if she says no, well that's the end of that. she definitely can't be pushed into situations. she won't let people. as long as nate kind of presented himself as more than just some low life drug dealer, rowan would at least give him a chance. from there it just kind of depends on first impressions. and she would love proving to him that all was not lost with the human race. it would make her smile. hmm maybe with river, over time she kind of becomes a source of advice? or helps him tone down his recklessness? idk. brain mush remember? xD.

Ruby, I love your characters, I hope you know. Anyways, down to plotting. I think, due to the cute, cute, pictures, we should somehow work to plot Charlotte and Dante. Because I say so... That and I like their personalities, she's vivacious and bold and speaks her mind and just is loud. Dante is a nice foil, me thinks. Uhm, I'm game for anything really. I think Charlotte would be intrigued by how different he is as compared to Rowan, just like how she is so different than her twin, Kate. because twins should plot together.Sorry this is just pointless, but I'm rushing this before I go out, because I just really needed to post here <3

Now on to rowan, I like the idea of Rowan and Eric, I mean, come on, Lacey would just think rowan is a life size barbie doll. She would just eat her up, metaphorically of course... because raising a four year old cannibal is a little weird. Anyways, I also like the idea of Rowan being a babysitter, and that whole scandal going on. I think that should be how Eric and Rowan meet, when Eric is looking for a babysitter for Lacey. I think Kate would be friends with Rowan, just because how genuinely nice they are. Er, I think That's all.

they do have damn adorable pics together so we really should do something. idk what you have going on with other people so the obvious romance i'll leave up in the air, but just so you know it's definitely out there xD. i think they should meet through rowan. i really do. because if rowan introduces them then dante will be a lot more likely to open up to her and do more than just mumble answers, lmao. he'll like her. i can see him sitting on the couch trying to watch t.v. but instead watches her pace the room doing something. haha. yeah i definitely see it.

i have to say, since i mentioned it yesterday i LOVE the eric/rowan idea. the whole scandal thing is so not rowan and it'll definitely be a shock to the family and the tabloids. being that she's the daughter of a politican she'll be watched like that. kinda like bristol palin minus baby. she'll love lacey, undoubtedly and cannibalism or not xD. her mother will also be pissed to find out about it because rowan will have "lowered" herself to being a babysitter. still, maybe at first she does it as a favor, like if charlotte asks the first time, and eric comes home from a late night and they just hit it off before she leaves. tbh i'm totally snagging this from piper/noah on ten inch hero. if you haven't seen it, shame on you and you must watch it.

Rubicious. =] I like that, that will be your new nickname. xD But I think that is just so sweet that he just watches her pace around, because that just seems like something she would do. Just freaking out over something and once we have their romance thing down I can so see him laughing at her for freaking out and he's all 'It's not my fault that I think you're funny when you're mad' because she may not show it, but she is a sucker for the romantics. Well so far I think I have this thing going on with Lainey with her newbie, Wyatt, but it is in the past really, because he broke up with her a year ago because he went to Iraq. But after that I think they have a confrontation but after that I dunno what will go on with them.

ANYWHOOZLE, I also love the idea of them meeting through Rowan, because let's face it, Rowan and Char would also be friends, because Rowan is a sweetheart. I'm just so loving Dante and how sweet he is. That and I have such a massive crush on Ryan Gosling... I was just a mcgosling fan, that I was genuinely sad when they broke up </3 But asides from my total bias that we should most definitely plot. I think Dante and Charlotte would make an endearing pair <3 just saying.

But now for Rowan and Eric amazingness. I have most definitely seen ten inch hero, love that movie! But I do like that combo, but I must say, Eric would be a little wary of Rowan first, because you know, she's nineteen he's twenty four.. Just a little cautious, that and the whole scandal thing would make him really careful because he also has a little fame to his name because of his career as a freelance writer, just a cult following but still.

psh what are you talking about? your posts are a tremendous help. so i love dante and charlotte already. he would definitely be amused by her to no end and would definitely open up to her in a way he probably wouldn't with anyone else. i can see him definitely falling for her and having to deal with actual romance for the first time in his life. he tends to push people away because it's all he's ever known from his childhood, but he would fight it with her. i can see that now. so if you don't start anything up with charlotte and wyatt, we have definite epic possibilities here.

i think not only would rowan and charlotte be friends, but i can see her getting along with kate as well, in a different way. and rowan would most definitely introduce dante and charlotte, maybe she sees something there before they do? idk. yeah i've loved ryan since the notebook, not gonna lie. and mcgosling was the greatest pair to walk the planet. ugh.

trust me, rowan would be hesitant to. first of all she's not the one for illicit affairs and would try to do anything to avoid that. but you know those times when you just get swept up in the moment? i can so see that just happening. like eric comes home and rowan's walking to lacey's bedroom, lacey asleep in her arms with her head on her shoulder, he just watches her as she puts her to sleep and how good rowan is with her and just acts. idk. that's the vibe i get. she'd feel kind of bad if eric shook things off like it was nothing, but then again she'd be kicking herself for a lot that night so what's one more thing? xD

eric's the kind of mature guy that rowan would gravitate to so it really doesn't surprise me, but it may make for some interesting moments sure enough.

dante so, ryan gosling is the shit. i'm going to marry him someday if lainey doesn't beat me to it. the thing that comes to mind for him right away is something with him and andie, because they could potentially be fun. i could see them meeting when he's stopping in la fleur violette for whatever reason because andie's getting a job there and her accidentally dumping water all over him. xD haha. don't know why he'd be there, but i saw the scene in my head and it made me laugh. anyway, i think maybe she would like him just because she could potentially have a relatively drama free friendship with him, which doesn't happen a lot. knowing andie though she'd probably want to hook up with him at least once. i dunno. :]

rowan okay, so i have an idea for her concerning her and charlie and it's totally up to you. if it won't work out just let me know. i'm thinking that maybe she was doing a pageant in philadelphia before she decided to quit? i don't know if she had to travel a lot for it, but whatever. anyhow, while in the parking lot of the hotel or wherever the pageant is being hosted, she bumped into charlie, who was there to scam on tourists or something. but they got to talking and decided they liked each other so for the remainder of the time that rowan was in the city, they spent as much time as they could together. i don't know how long those things typically last, but maybe it was a bigger one, so that she would have been there for a few days? i don't really know anything about those kinds of things, haha. but anyhow, charlie would have been crushing on her pretty bad, but on the night before she had to leave or something, she caught him pickpocketing someone and they wound up getting into a big fight over it and so they parted ways on bad terms. and now they can have a big awkward reunion, haha. like i said, completely up to you. <3

haha that'd be great since andie and maggie got off on such bad terms to begin with. i'd like to think one of my brood can get along with andie xD. he'd appreciate it, definitely, though it may weird him out a tad. he's never had anyone other than his sister looking out for him so that would be new to him. still, i love it.

okay so charlie just makes me go awwww! he's such a sweetie. rowan would at least half forgive him, i'm sure of it. if he stopped pickpocketing i'm sure she'd fully forgive him. i love the whole apology flowers and such. it's so sweet and it would definitely work on rowan. she'd be all suspicious of him at first, especially at a charity thing since she holds them near and dear to her heart, but she would forgive him eventually as long as she doesn't find him reaching in people's pockets. cuz if she does it's toodles for him.

haha, oh yeah, Charlotte is so not the type to be pushed away. She would just confront him about it. I think they can also bond over the fact that they both are overlooked by their parental unit. Charlotte has always been in Kate's shadow, and knows her parents just wanted Kate but happened to get Char. Yeah, good parenting right there. But anyways, I was out to dinner today and I got a few little snippits: the first is where Rowan and Charlotte are getting ready to go somewhere formal and what not, so they're getting ready or whatever adn Rowan is in the bathroom but Char needs some help zipping up her dress at the back and so she calls Dante in a small but sort of needy voice because this is like the third time she's met the guy. Anyways, she asks him to zip her up and brushes her hair to the side and he's all hesitant while he zips up her dress and then she asks him how she looks and then blushes because in my head he just sort of stutters a little with his words. I thought it was cute, dunno why it popped into my head but still. And the second is Charlotte is taking a bath and she just gets into the bath tub when she hears the door knock. She ignores it. but it's persistence annoys her and she just yells that it's open and it's dante. But she's in the bath and he smiles a bit saying"Are you trying to seduce me?" and she's all, "Yeah, of course I am..." just jokingly, and then Dante sits down with his back against the tub as Charlotte leans against the edge and they just talk.

Yeah, weird but I dunno, I thought it was just 'them' you know? They might just be one of the sweetest couples I know... like Tarai or milphie. xD

Yeah, Eric is surprisingly mature, and when he sees Lacey just falling asleep in her arms, he'll get a warm feeling for Rowan because of how good she is with Lacey. He wouldn't be the one who shakes it off, I mean, he would be all 'I don't think we should be doing this because of Lacey' but he wouldn't just act like nothing ever happened, because he would genuinely like Rowan but he would be so careful of it though. But I think they would be so adorable together, I mean, Rowan sort of introducing Charlotte to Dante and char (or kate even) introduces Eric and Rowan, I like this. <3

lmao i figured as such which is good because dante may need that firm hand at first. they'd definitely bond over it. i mean dante was cast aside by his mother because he was imperfect at birth even though the surgery fixed it all and he was like a normal child after that. it hasn't noticeably scarred him but it's definitely affected the way he is around people. so he's going to need a bit of help with that.

i think he'd get along with dante quite well actually. they're both kind of disliked by a parent since tim's dad pretty much loathes him since he'd the only child who really stands up to him when he'd drunk. and also because tim was always a bit of an odd kid. also, dante and tim are both quite antisocial yes? tim generally doesn't have many friends at all. he would have had a few mates in school but not anyone close. bailey is pretty much his closest friend ever xD and another similarity, they both love their sisters to death. so i can see dante and tim bumping into each other around college campus or something and maybe bonding somehow haha. that was quite vague. but yeah, they should be buddies. they can go smoke together xD

dude she sounds freaking adorable. i love her already xD and she's a little southern belle. so i think she should get to know alex even though they're different ages. i can see alex being quite similar to rowan before she went through all that crap with her dad and all the stuff in valkyrie so maybe she could meet rowan through tim and dante or something and they both get really happy to have a familiar accent around. tim would be pleased to hear that familiar accent too and obviously he'd think she's cute too. she'd probably remind him of alex a bit though so maybe they could be friends. that could be fun. i can see alex maybe trying to help him become less bitter and maybe alex can kind of look up to rowan? sort of like the kind of girl she thought she'd turn out to be but now instead she's all angsty haha. so that could be kind of cute yeah? also i think her and nina should be friends maybe once nina is more back into her old sweet self. but deep down she's a big sweetie and hopeless romantic too so they'll get along great.

i think they should definitely know each other some how. what part of georgia is tim from? rowan and dante are both from savannah but they did travel with their father when he was campaigning so maybe they met through that? regardless of how much or long they've known each other i think dante and time could definitely be buds. he doesn't open up much but since tim's so much like him, well it's just inevitable. he'd warm up to him real quick even though he's not too keen on talking about the issues with his mother. it's not that they're a sensitive subject, he just hasn't cared for so long that it doesn't even tend to cross his mind. rowan could probably have told him though. she probably would just looking out for her brother.

aw i'm glad you like her cuz i do too! xD age doesn't really matter to rowan. i think she'd adore alex just as much and she'd definitely be there for her through thick and thin and she'll be pleased as punch when alex gets her wits about her and starts acting like her old self. tim, i think rowan would love hanging out with him. hearing his accent would remind her of home and they could just talk about hot weather and humidity all day xD. oh and don't forget long, heated debates about deep fried everything. lmao.
