the ocean breathes salty, won't you carry it in?
Don't let go
I've wanted this far too long
Mistakes become regrets
I've learned to love abuse
Please show me what I'm looking for

HAIR COLOR: Dark brown, almost black.
EYE COLOR: Pale blue, almost gray.
HEIGHT: 6'0

BODY TYPE: Elliot has a kind of bigger body, but it would not be fair to say that he is fat. He is actually very much in shape. He has very broad shoulders, but his body type makes him look a little shorter than he really is. He also looks shorter because he does not have the best posture, which comes with his sometimes lack of confidence.
DISTINGUISHED FEATURES: Nothing special, just his signature facial hair, which he avoids shaving until he starts to look like a hobo.
PERSONAL STYLE: While Elliot would like to dress more classy, he has never had the income to do so. No, he isn't so poor that he needs to buy his clothes already used, but he does keep his eye out for sales and other places were he can get more of a discount on clothes. He generally likes jeans and t-shirts, but sometimes he can get himself nice polo's or button shirts. He has a knack for finding clothes that look like they might be expensive designer brands, but they're really very cheap.
OTHER: Elliot has a really nice smile. It can actually mesmerize people when he decides to use it at its full force.
IN YOUR MOUTH, IN YOUR SOUL ,
CHARACTER PERSONALITY ,
the more we move ahead the more we're stuck in rewind
STRENGTHS: Elliot is very romantic and affectionate. When he finally meets the woman who will give him the time of day, she is going to be swept off her feet. He was raised a gentleman, and he knows exactly how to treat a lady.
WEAKNESSES: He is not very aggressive, which means he often gets walked all over or pushed aside completely.
LIKES: Sports (especially football), sleeping, eating just about anything, writing poetry, playing the guitar, drawing, girls, coffee, star gazing, going to parties, being organized and his job.
DISLIKES: Country music, being late, being dirty, early mornings, bugs, paying his rent, sad movies, being alone, dancing, Chinese food, carbonated drinks and the way you smell after being at a bonfire.
FLAWS: Elliot is way too easy going for his own good. He never vocalizes when he has a problem with something, which is why things in his life that he doesn't like never change.
HABITS: You can tell that Elliot is trying to keep something from you because he starts blinking double time.
SECRETS: He's in love, but he's too afraid to tell.
BEST MEMORY: Getting accepted into college, and getting scholarship money for his grades. Although he is still paying off his loans, he now works at the same college he attended, which he is very proud of.
WORST MEMORY: Finding out his younger brother was caught up in drugs, and finding out his younger brother wasn't going to go to college, but going to work at the gas station instead. Although they do not come from money, Elliot still holds education in high regards.
OVERALL PERSONALITY: Elliot was always the shy kid growing up. It took him some time to warm up to people, and he never had a large group of friends. No, he wasn't a loser, but he wasn't exactly high up on the popularity chain either. Elliot liked to have friends who shared his personal interests, so he spent most of his time hanging out with kids in the jazz band, on the football team, and even the smart kids in his math and tech classes. Okay, so many these people are all different from each other, but that was another thing about Elliot- he liked variety, and he liked hanging out with different people on different days,
Another personality trait Elliot possesses is the art of being romantic. Elliot was raised by parents who did not forget to teach their son the importance of treating women with respect. To him, chivalry is not dead. Elliot is still the type of guy who will open car doors for girls, hold doors open, offer his jacket and hold your hand when you walk down the street together. The only problem is that he is a little too passive to make any sort of a move on a girl- he can't even find it in himself to tell her how he feels. The only girlfriends he's ever had in his life, which weren't many, were girls who had made the first move on him. He's extremely shy, and extremely afraid of rejection, even though he has never experienced it before.
Other than that, Elliot is actually a nerdy guy. He is extremely good with computers, and in the privacy of his own home, he actually enjoys reading computer manuals. This hobby has actually made him very successful at his job. Elliot always enjoyed math and science classes more than English or history, and he knew he wanted to work with computers since the time he was ten or eleven. Sometimes Elliot lacks confidence, but when it comes to computers or math or science, he has all the confidence in the world. When he was really young, people at school used to make fun of him and call him a dork. This teasing actually affected him a lot more than teasing affects normal kids- he took their words to heart, and over time, Elliot developed this firm belief that he really was a loser. Even though he graduated in the top five of his class, got scholarship money for college, and even got a job right after graduation, he still lacks self confidence and self worth.
Lastly, Elliot is very funny, once you get to know him. He loves to laugh, and he loves to make other people laugh even more. When people actually give him a chance and get to know him, they're not disappointed in his companionship. In fact, once you get to know Elliot very well, he's not shy with you at all, and most people even forget that he ever was so reserved and closed off.
Overall, Elliot is a great guy to have as a friend, or more. He's laid back, he doesn't like to start rumors or drama or any sort of trouble, and he will always be loyal to his friends and family. He takes people he loves and keeps them close to his heart, and he would do anything to help someone in need.
AND WE'LL BOTH GROW OLD ,
CHARACTER HISTORY ,
well i don't know, i don't know, i don't know, i hope so
HOMETOWN: Los Angeles, California.
PARENTS: Isaac West, father, 53, fireman/paramedic.
Isabella (Carmichael) West, 52, receptionist in a hotel.
SIBLINGS: Brock West, 20, sophomore in college/gas station attendant.
Anna West, 17, junior in high school/hostess in a restaurant.
OTHER: none
LIVING SITUATION: The Shaks, like his whole family, but he now has his own small apartment.
HISTORY: There's nothing particular or special about Elliot's history. His parents have known each other since they were middle school, and after graduating high school, they didn't go to college. Isaac went into the Navy, and Isabella started working full time as a secretary in an insurance office. After training in the Navy, Isaac returned home and started training and working as a fireman, and he proposed and married his high school sweetheart. It wasn't too long after that their first child, Elliot came into the world. His mom stayed home to take care of him, and his father continued working his shifts. They didn't have a lot of money, but they were lucky enough to be able to afford a two bedroom apartment. They lived cozy, but comfortable, and the West family was happy together.
Although he was four years old, Elliot feels that he can remember the birth of his younger brother, Brock. Mr. And Mrs. West were happy that they had another boy, mostly because they could keep the two boys in the same room, and they didn't have to try and find a bigger apartment just yet. The two boys lived the life of classic baby boys- they did absolutely everything together, and their mother was always dressing them in matching outfits...every single day. The West family didn't have much extra money to spare, so they never went on vacations or went out to fancy dinners. They did, however, spend many sunny days at the beach, which was located only minutes from their apartment. Three years after Brock was born, the family was graced with Anna. Elliot remembers her birth rather clearly, being that he was already seven when it happened. After her arrival, the West family was forced to rent a three bedroom apartment, so their little girl could have her own room as she grew up.
Since Mr. and Mrs. West grew up in the same town together, both their families live in Valkyrie as well, so Elliot grew up surrounded by his grandparents, aunts and uncles, and cousins. They were the type of family that got together, ate, and just yelled over each other and laughed. Sometimes their constant presence irritated Elliot, but many times he was really grateful for his crazy and hectic family. They made holidays and birthdays more fun, since there were always plenty of kids to play with. The one vacation he did go on, when he was about ten years old, the entire extended family came along for the journey. They drove in a carpool of about seven cars to the Grand Canyon. It wasn't most peoples idea of a dream vacation, but it was all the family could afford...and it was one of the best memories Elliot would ever carry with him.
His sense of family followed him throughout his upbringing. He developed a close and special relationship with each different person in his family. But out of his whole family, Elliot became particularly close to his brother Brock. They spent a lot of time together, and usually it was just the two of them when they hung out. They didn't exactly have a lot in common, but they liked to go to movies together or even just to the beach, like when they were kids. When Elliot graduated top of his class, he liked to believe that he was a good role model to his younger brother, and when they each started their freshman year and two different schools, Elliot was sure his ways had rubbed off on Brock. But as time went by, Elliot started noticing his brother was hanging out with the wrong crowd, and that he wasn't bringing home the type of grades Elliot himself had gotten in school. Their relationship started to slip, and they started to talk less and spend less time together. Elliot was sure it couldn't get any worse...but it did.
After they both graduated, and Elliot was almost instantly offered job at his school, he looked forward to his brother going to the same school he went to. But when Brock was not accepted due to bad grades, Elliot had to come to terms with what his brother had become. It was hard to witness his little brother, someone he had always tried to be a role model for, become a drug addict and throw his life away. Their parents could simply not afford to support Brock, or send him to rehab, so they were forced to watch their son go on his own, never to make his life better for himself. Now he works at the gas station and lived in a single room apartment...and he's barely making his rent there. The West family moved back into a two bedroom apartment, giving Anna the other room while she is still in high school. Elliot now lives in his own apartment, working in the University. He is finally happy, making his own life and his own choices. But he has no idea where he wants to go next.
