] "Hey mom, dad, I'm going out, I'll be back later." Briley called as she shut the door to her almost empty house. She needed to go on a walk, and think, lots of thinking. Walking to her little white Lexis Briley tried to figure out a nice place to go, one that was quiet and had very few people at it. Her first idea was the park, but at this time people would be taking their dogs for walks, or jogging 'ew jogging' and Briley didn't want to be around all of that, so she settled with the harbor. No one would be there, it would be dark soon, and it would be chilly out side, not freezing like it had been, but not super warm and nice, but it would be okay enough just to take a little walk along the rocks and maybe even sit down and take a break from all the hectic things going on in life, not that Briley had anywhere near a super hard life, but still sometimes you just had to get away from it all, and be alone. Truth was, she didn't want to be completely alone, though her wingman had been busy, Anistion had her gymnastics and it was a pretty far drive from her dads house, and Liam was well, she didn't even want to get into that.
Briley drove slower then she normally had, but she wasn't in a rush, not at all. It was running on eight-thirty and she didn't have to be home until ten, not that she had to go home, she was in fact nineteen, she could technically stay out as late or as long as she wanted, but Briley wasn't that way, most likely she would be in the door at nine fifty five, or possibly even earlier then that. Stopping at a red light Bri's hand ran through her long red blond hair and through some of the little curls that she wore. Why did she feel so awful, nothing had really happened, the fact she might be moving to New Hampshire wasn't that bad, she could stay if she wanted, she could get and apartment and live on her own, and her grades and school work was good, but something else was making her feel down right crappy. The only other thing that it could be was the fight her William had, but she tried to declare that that was not it at all, sadly she knew she would be lying to herself if she kept thinking that way. It was defiantly William.
Pulling into the harbor, Briley turned off her car, got out and slowly walked down to the rocks. " I didn't even mean to do anything wrong, dang, it's not my fault we were out of town and didn't get phone reception, and I was going to call him, I really was, I mean why wouldn't I? I liked him, and he met my mom and dad, as if that matters anymore, he said he just wasted his time doing that, and if meeting my family is a waste of time, then i'm wasting my time with him. Well it doesn't matter anymore, he is mad at me, and I'm not going to talk to him, not after what he said, nope, not after that." She spoke as if some one was there with her, listening and taking notes, the sad truth is, she was alone, no one was around, and it if some one was, they would say she looked crazy. "You really shouldn't talk to yourself Briley, it's weird." She said laughing at herself. Getting up, she walked a little down ways down, and sat down again, the sun had it's last little rays of light and it was pretty, and in the blink of an eye it was gone, and now there was only the groggy dark, and the light of the beautiful stars overhead, and some gas lights that were behind her a little ways.
Pulling her knit jacket closer to her frame she tried to keep warm, which wasn't hard seeing as it felt pretty okay out tonight, it was pretty well heated still, and there was a slight breeze coming off the water which created a nice springs night, if only she could actually enjoy it and not have to worry about whether she wanted to move, or if she should call William...no Liam and try to work things out, or if she just never call or talk to him again, wouldn't that be easier? It's not like he was really that much more then just another friend. Sure they kissed once or twice, but it never went past that, and as much as Briley liked him and wanted to maybe go past that she never would, because they were never more then friends, or it felt like that most of the time, and also because she had never felt the way she felt for another guy, the feeling of actually having feelings for some one, it scared her, it scared her a lot, but that fear also dissipated when he was around, he made everything go away, he made her, happy. ]"NO, just stop talking to him, find a new guy, or just go back to the old no boys ever briley, either way, just no more him." She said aloud, but even when she was telling herself to just ditch him, she couldn't convince herself to actually do it. Briley liked Liam and whether or not he wanted her around anymore didn't matter, she just knew what she felt and as much as she hated it, it was there, and sadly she felt a certain need for him.
Time passed and eight-thirty became nine and soon it was breaching nine-fifteen, but Bri wasn't ready to leave just yet, she had a good forty-five minutes until she had to be home, and so she would stay until them, being one to two minutes late wouldn't kill her, it's not like she was really doing anything wrong anyway. Her mom knew she wasn't out doing drugs or anything of that nature, so she would simply tell her mom she just needed fresh air, and that is pretty much one hundred percent the the truth. Briley needed to thing, get some air, and most of all figure out what to do about the whole Liam situation. So for now, Briley laid down on
back, and watched the stars bright in the sky, and counted the clouds as they floated past, it was calm, peaceful and nice, something she could just do for hours.
