HISTORY:
January 24th, 1993, scarlett linnely ross was born in Valkyrie Hospital. her mother was only twenty-four, fresh out of college. she was so excited to be having her first child with her husband Ronnie. but, as she finally, after twenty hours of labor, gave birth to her little daughter scarlett things turned...bad. she began hemorrhaging and the doctors couldn't stop it. her father was scared, almost too frantic to even care about his new baby girl. he paced outside the door before finally the doctor came out to tell him the news. good or bad, he wondered. turns out, it was the worst possible news he could have received. she was pronounced dead on January 24th at 3:17 pm. scarlett's father almost died himself. he did collapse to the ground, shuddering, crying uncontrollably. that day was hard for him, and even though he didn't know it, it was also hard for little scarlett. she may not have understood, but she was sure going to soon, and he knew he'd have to explain it to her one day. he wasn't sure if he could do that.
a few days later ronnie left with his new baby girl, alone. he was depressed, that was obvious, but what happened a few years later wasn't. scar was only five years old when she went out one evening with her grandfather, Bert. he took her out to the ice skating rink, her favorite memory, and went out for ice cream. by the time they returned scarlett ran to her father's room to tell him about her day, but as she entered the room her father was no where to be found. she looked everywhere, but finally she checked the bathroom. her father was laying on the ground, not breathing and cold. she was only five, she wasn't sure what was wrong with her dad, but she tried to wake him up. after getting a little loud and frantic when he didn't budge her grandfather finally came after her and dragged her away, shut the door and called the ambulance.
scarlett's father had apparently overdosed on cocaine. her father had been a drug user ever since her mother's death. at the time scarlett wasn't exactly sure what had happened, but as she grew older it all began to make sense to her. she was angry at herself for not knowing, even being only five, she felt as though she should have seen signs. she blamed herself for her father's death, along side her mother's. she grew up from being such a sweet child to a depressed teen. all through elementary to late middle school scar battled with the guilt and lonelness. she still does to this day, but a knew outlook on everything around her and knew knowledge, with the help of finding her passion-drawing-she has figured out a way to through those feelings on the back burner. she discovered her second passion, helping people. she loves to listen and be a shoulder for others to cry on. she wouldn't give up the liberating feeling she gets when she seeing someone start to confide in her.
after middle school her grandfather Bert moved to Hollywood, Florida. she knew he would give her a choice to stay or leave. she loved her grandfather, but she loved valkyrie, california. though it held so many haunting memories of her past she still felt like this was her home. like this was the place she was supposed to stay. her grandfather had gotten retirement and wanted to travel, scarlett, knowing it was a good opportunity, decided to just stay here. she wasn't sure how she was going to do that, but she soon found Valkyrie high school. she felt a sort of pull here. she knew there was a reason for her being her, she wasn't sure what it was yet, but she intended to find out. she told her grandpa about valkyrie and he reluctantly enrolled her. scarlett has been at valkyrie for almost three years know. it was her home, although she still hasn't found her pull yet, she knows one day she will find it!

_________________________________________________morgan laid in her bed, as her mind tried to wrap itself around this afternoons event. she and evan hung out, like normal, but out of no where evan asked morgan out to this party. although morgan knew that this to evan was nothing more than just getting morgan out and about, it still felt different. she knew her mind was playing tricks on her emotions, no way could evan have asked her out as anything more than just his best friend. morgan knew it, and still she couldn't get rid of the overwhelming joy that she felt. she could remember the butterflies that still fluttered violently in her stomach. morgan wasn't one to misinterpret things, and she also wasn't one to live in a fantasy world. with that thought crossing her mind morgan finally sat up from her bed and hugged her knees. she laid her head on her knees, letting out a disappointed sigh before getting enough courage to get up off her bed and headed to her closet. she only had two hours before evan was going to come pick her up for the party. although, he wouldn't have to, morgan would easily be able to find it with the music blasting down the hall. it wasn't like she was against evan taking her to the party, even if it was a few doors, it just confused her emotions, playing even more tricks on them than needed. it was silly, morgan knew that, she was just too needy and pathetic to tell the difference between friendship and love. she didn't want to cross that line, but she was still afraid that one day she wouldn't have enough restraint to not explode from all of the frustration lately. it was easier when she hid her feelings for evan so well because for one she wasn't even aware that she loved him. it was hidden so well, but when that day he found her, it was like her mind cleared through all of the walls that blocked away the love she really had for him. it was like she was a blind woman, seeing the sun for the first time when she looked at him that day. and to this day that sunlight still hasn't faded.
things between morgan and evan were a little strange last week. she remembered it like it was yesterday. she was skipping class for the umpteenth time and laid down behind a tree trunk. evan found her-thank god-otherwise she probably wouldn't be here right now, she'd probably be in a hospital getting over ammonia right about now. she was glad that he was there, skipping with her. but, when they finally decided to go inside she was dumb and made things awkward. she didn't mean for them to, seriously, she was still afraid of them having the conversation. she wished it would just disappear. she was glad that evan was sweet enough to not mention it. he really was an amazing guy, any other guy would harp on the subject to get some answers. no, not evan mcCallister. he was too sweet for his own good, at least to her. he was always so sweet and kind to morgan, pity no doubt, but she was okay with that-at least that's what she told herself. it was frustrating, loving someone that could never love someone like you. a distant pip dream that she was sure would never happen, evan falling in love with morgan remi. she smiled at the thought of him even considering loving her, but quickly snapped out of it when she hit the wall.
she hadn't even noticed that she was walking, too deep in thought about evan to even care. that was always the problem. morgan laughed lightly before rubbing her arm, which she was sure would be blue and purple in the morning, and headed into her closet. okay, so morgan wasn't the most fashionable person. she rarely even looked at clothes and what clothing she did look at was nothing more than just some random t-shirt, nothing special. she wasn't into fashion in the slightest, there wasn't a point. there was no one to impress, the person she'd want to impress wouldn't even take a second glance.
but as morgan kept up her search she almost fainted seeing a beautiful pink dress, one she remembered clearer than any memory. this dress was her mothers dress. it was the dress that she wore on a Sunday when her mother would take her to church. it was the dress that morgan always admired and one day wanted to own. she hadn't thought about this dress in almost two years. she didn't want to remember it. she didn't want to remember her mother in this dress, but something was pulling her to it. before she knew it she had it in her hands and modeled it in the mirror. morgan smiled blissfully, feeling like a child as the memories of her mother swaying back and forth in this dress. she loved seeing her mother in this dress, complimenting her skin tone so well. morgan couldn't stop herself from swaying back and forth, almost dancing while she watched herself in the mirror. before she knew it, she had the dress on and was sitting at her vanity. she couldn't recall the events up to now, which bugged her, but she didn't have time for wondering. she had less than forty-five minutes to do her hair and makeup.
her lips curled into a smile when she was finished with her makeup and hair. she held her hair up into a elicit half up half down hair style, as her large side bangs escaped at the plains of her face. she smiled at this, knowing it was almost identical to her mothers hair every sunday. but as that thought crossed her mind morgan quickly backed away from the vanity. her face looked frightened once she had a clear look at her face. she had never seen her mothers beauty in herself, but when she looked at herself she saw it, and that scared her. she didn't want to look like her mother. she didn't deserve to. she didn't want to be reminded of her mother in anyway, she never wanted to see her mother inside herself ever. she wasn't ready for that yet. morgan took deep, relaxing breaths when she finally calmed herself down she heard a knock on her door. she knew it could only be one person, evan. she stared at the door with the expression of fear on her face before taking another quick glance at the mirror and almost ran for the door. she opened it up, pausing for half a second before grabbing evan by his hand and walking down the hallway, making short she closed the door behind her. she didn't want to go back there tonight.
"So, are you ready to party evan?" morgan asked happily as she turned around to look at evan with a large smile on her face. she had to get her mind off of her earlier event, she couldn't do that any other way other than to speak to evan. he was the only one that could keep her mind on the present and on him. she didn't want to go into the past tonight. she wanted to forget about the past, maybe even drink it away, she wasn't sure what, but she had to do something. there was no way that she was going to be able to keep herself focused unless someone or something could take the edge off. morgan wasn't much of a drinker, sure she'd tried some, right after her mother died actually. she didn't get drunk, which was the whole point, so it was kind of a disappointing experience, but tonight she felt as if she wouldn't fail. something told her that this was going to be a great party! at least for someone. she playfully wiggled her shoulders in a comedic impression of a dance as she bent her knees. after so she turned back around and walked slower so evan could catch up. she smiled at the blue eyed, dark haired boy, this was going to be a great night indead.
the music blasted louder and morgan knew they were in the right place. she took one last look at evan before taking the plunge inside, seeing almost everyone. she'd not met many people since her mother died. to be honest the only person she had met since then was a counselor. it was a sad, but true fact, morgan wasn't a talkative person, therefore keeping her in a lonely world of her past and with the occasional luxury of evan's company. it was the only morgan looked forward to when she woke up in the morning, so you could say she lived for evan. she loved him, no doubting that-at least to herself-and although she would never know what that felt like back in return she knew that one day, maybe she could tell him. morgan figured it would be when she went off to college so she could just run away instead of having to deal with the rejection. as they entered the loud room morgan instantly spotted a male leaning on the wall. he seemed to notice too. she didn't want to think that he would, but she couldn't deny the look she saw in his eyes, and if she didn't know better, she would have thought it was lust!
