- - i would say 'anywhere but here', but home is technically in paris. i got away without the annoying accent, though. is it true oregan looks like a dollar-store postcard? and what would someone be doing moving to alaska?

ooh paris. i've always wanted to go there. is it as nice as the hype makes it out to be?
lol i have no idea. it's all farmland to my eyes. i'm usually in alaska for 5-7 months at a time crabbing.

- -it's redundant after twenty years. but it is one incredible city. people tend to forget everything. it's the classy las vegas.
xD suppose it's different if you live there. i had to pass through on a job once. half the year, damn. long time. crab fisherman, eh? is deadliest catch legit?

yeah i bet it gets old after a while but it still looks like an incredible place. i can understand why many of the french don't like americans though.
it didn't help that i lived in the epitome of hick towns. deadliest catch is pretty legit. we don't have a video crew because we're a smaller vessel. those ships bring over half a million tons of crab. my boat takes about a quarter of that.

- - make a note to fish over there one day. i took after my parents - paris still blows me away everytime i go back. the people, on the other hand, i suggest avoiding. they hate everything, so don't take it personal.
fuck. i'd move to alaska, too. i knew it. everyone tells me it's staged. brave one, you must be. everytime i watch it, i go into my little studio and notice it's not so bad. how the hell are there that many crab?

i'll have to. i'll people watch and fish. i just won't speak to anyone. good to know.
it's good money. you know you risk your life and all but the money is fanfreakingtastic. it's not staged. it's really as dangerous as they make it out to be. with water that cold you can die easily. we can never catch them all and we fish after breeding season and we only take the males so the females are able to lay eggs and whatnot. it's complicated. i'm not a crab genius, i just know where to find them.

- - you got it. i went crazy putting up with the politics. i swear, france is like a locker room.
ah, good finances. the one reason why i would ever do anything dangerous. you ever get a de-raise, throw someone into the water. let them die. kudos to you, sailor. i'm too much of a fraidy-cat to even consider. ahh, that makes sense. good system. 'course, you have to have the natural talent. i'd try and catch a tropical fish.

politics are everywhere, perfectly inescapable. my town's version was gossip. anything that was said was worth it's weight in gold when it was juicy enough.
it's worth it. my money goes toward my struggling family. as of this moment they need it more than i do. as long as you have decent sea legs, fabulous endurance, and a good personality things tend to be a lot easier. i've been doing this since i was eighteen so i'm guessing i've got a knack for crabs. xD

- - that sounds charming. i think the frenchies just like yelling at each other. i stayed out of it. gossip is hard to avoid.
definitely a good cause there. good people are so lost to the world. you're a decent dude, sailor. i feel bad, sitting here. i blow through my pay checks before i get them. family is a boring one, though, they can handle themselves. how long is that? damn. do it longer, so my time for being a crab wrangler is used up, too.

oh yeah it's charming alright. so much so that when my sister was in a bit of a sticky situation, the entire town shunned us until we were forced to move.
i just do what i have to for the people i love. sounds chick-ish and all that but they're all i have do i don't care how cheesy i sound. hey don't feel bad. we're all different. i'd probably be doing the same thing if my money wasn't going to the fam. i've been crabbing for over five years now. well if you're interested i can always talk to my capt.

- - hah. like i said, charming. remind me never to set foot in a place like that. fucked morons. the whole town? they need to get laid more.
still takes a truly bright person to do something like that. when you love your family, what else matters? hah, ain't that the truth. my sister is this workaholic, and i'd retire if i could. honestly, i have no need for money. my job pays well when people decide they like my work. five years, damn. but no, i'm good xD the camera is my weapon of choice.

that's what i said. after shit hit the fan they cut my mother's and father's hours and they were bringing in the only money we were living on so we had no other choice. the town is definitely a winner. [/sarcasm]
i've only ever had my family so it's not like there's anything else to pull me away, yet. cameras, hah. i always manage to cut the heads off of people. you'd think i would be able to aim, but no. but of course i can throw a hook around a buoy to pull up a pot but i can't take a simple picture.
