We Write Sins Not Tragedies
Voldemort has fallen, taking along with the young wizard who was destined to stop him. No one knew what had happened. Harry Potter had staggered out of The Great Hall of Hogwarts after an intense duel with Lord Voldemort and into the arms of his wife, Ginny. That was how the Chosen One, who was twenty one, died.
Rufus Scrimgeour had been in his office when he heard the news. The very next day, he gave a full pardon to all the Death Eaters. That incited many protests, to say the least. But it could not be undone. In the following week, he was murdered. It appeared that he had been shot by a Muggle gun. Not many questioned his death. He had after all, made himself very unpopular with his decision. Those who did question his death were ignored. But they were right. Lucius Malfoy had taken a Polyjuice Potion and made that announcement while his son, Draco shot the previous Minister of Magic with a gun after using the killing curse on him.
Lucius Malfoy, being the influential man that he was, became the next Minister of Magic. Perhaps he had hoodwinked, bribed or threatened his way. No one knew. The Wizarding World soon silently agreed that not a word was to be spoken about the war, about its causalities and about the future effects the war would have.
As the next generation of students entered Hogwarts, they had to deal with the usual drama of school life. Pranks, enemies, love, betrayals and all that jazz. But that was not all they had to worry about. There had been an influx of students with magical abilities. What does this mean? To the lingering Death Eaters (You did not think they were gone, right?), it meant gathering the students who had control over their powers to further their cause. And most certainly, the Order of the Phoenix would do their best to stop them.
