Rich Port and Seaside High seemed to be your average High School. You know, with your cliques and drama. It seemed as if everything was going rather smoothly. Students where attending the school, small wars against many of the cliques and other schools, same old, same old. Everything was just peachy. At least within the school grounds.
A group known as the Midnight Kings that attended Seaside High, a rivaling school to Rich Port High had been known enemies with Rich Ports known group the Knights Escape. The Knights Escape was probably a group which everyone in Rich Port High knew about, and talked about. Not to mention, the many wars between the Midnight Kings and the Knights Escape always was the big talk. Student’s had claimed that if you where in the Knights Escape, let alone the Midnight Kings you where automatically considered in the ‘in crowd’ as anyone who was anyone was in the Knights Escape or Midnight Kings if they could make it. And no, it didn’t matter of your clique. If you made it in, you’re in.
The leader of the group Midnight Kings had been Ethan Milligan, one of the local punks at Seaside High. The leader of Knights Escape, Jared Stevens, another punk but at Rich Port. It was on that night when both the Midnight Kings and the Knights Escape groups would end up meeting in an alleyway located in the outskirts of Rich Port.
It seemed as though it was your average gang fight that went down in the alley that night. A battle against two leaders, where the members of both groups weren’t allowed to enter. Though it wasn’t average gang fight until Ethan Milligan took out a knife, threatened Jared with it. No, not threatened. Murdered Jared with it. Many of the members of Knights Escape knew the rules, you couldn’t back down on a fight, you couldn’t get into a fight that was between the leaders. No matter how bad it was. But one girl that was in the Knights Escape, Marie McQueen stepped into the fight. Apparently, Marie had been Jared’s girlfriend, and ordered both groups to stop at that point. Many of the members of both groups where shocked to what Ethan had done, as to murdering Jared for whatever reason it had been.
The moment Marie had stepped out into the fields, Ethan dropped the blade, dropping to the ground. Though as he would fall to his knees, Ethan did the unthinkable. Taking the blade next to him, he stabbed himself. Both the Knights Escape and the Midnight Kings where lost in thought. It wasn’t until that morning where the police had found both bodies of the two leaders and their death was announced. Students of both Seaside and Rich Port High where invited to the funerals for both of the men that died that night. It seemed as though it was a night to remember. But what caused both groups to get into that fight that night no one knows except for Marie, Ethan, and Jared.
Since then, both Seaside and Rich Port High had continued to remain as far away from one another as possible. No one spoke of the Midnight Kings and the Knights Escape anymore, and no one wanted to be in them anymore. The members of both groups till this day continue to think one thing. Why? And yet, their questions still remain unanswered….
