Enter the village of Berkshire, where citizens get a look at the better side of life. Far from the terrors of everyday problems, the residents of this antique European town live joyful and carefree years until they pass away peacefully. Issues people worry about every day are nonexistent in the humble village, where serenity is encouraged, valued, and enforced. Unpleasant things just don’t happen there, or so the citizens think. But they are terribly wrong.
What really is going on? Although the civilians of the rustic town may not know it, there is a dreadful chain of murders going on right under their noses, and they don’t even realize it. In the beginning, there was chaos. Strange things are happening in a strange place. A young girl was scarred forever when she saw a limp arm reaching out from under a bridge and discovered the corpse of Lucille Parker. Who exactly was Lucille Parker? Referred to unkindly as the “town nut”, Lucille was the overseer of the clock tower. Her job was thankless. She had nothing. She had nobody.
It has been a year since the tragic event. The new mayor, Caroline Antoinette, has been putting off the case ever since it began, dismissing it as suicide. But why is it still an iffy subject? Why are people still concerned? Because what Caroline is hiding from the public is that Lucille showed signs of struggle before death. What is really bothering the village is why their mayor would hide this fact. And it doesn’t help that Caroline is only the mayor because she is the daughter of the deceased mayor.
Deceased? Yes indeed. Two weeks before Lucille’s death, Caroline’s father, Johnson Antoinette, died of “natural causes”. What’s not so natural about it is the fact that Caroline absolutely refused an autopsy to be performed - and the half bottle of bleach the new mayor had bought only a day before his death. Not to mention, Caroline was the first to find him dead in his sleep. Also, it’s awfully strange that Johnson was only seventy years old…
Who exactly is responsible for these deaths, suspicions, and fear? As citizens of Berkshire are beginning to pick up, what will happen to the once quaint village? At the time being, nobody knows. Maybe that is because the one accountable for these actions is a mastermind of their art and will in fact get away with it? Or are people just being too suspicious about this? Will they start to turn on each other? Come find out, escape to extraordinary at…
