Standin' on your mama's porch…
It’s 1969. School’s just let out for summer, and the kids of Montgomery, Texas are ready. Ready to get drunk, stay out late, be with the ones they love, and start new friendships. The new Senior class has already settled in, prepared to take the reigns for the next school year. The class of ‘69 is moving on the bigger and better things. At least, most of them are.
You told me that you'd wait forever…
With a population of less than 500 people, no secret is safe. Everyone knows everything, though some people either seem oblivious to this fact, or they just don’t care. Either way, the gossip mill will be running full speed this summer, no doubt. Its all just rumors though, right? Possibly, but that’s all for you to decide…
Oh and when you held my hand I knew that it was now or never…
Tongues are wagging, and gossip is spreading like wildfire. What sort of mischief can a bunch of teenagers , aka, the majority of the town, get into? Better yet, what can they pull off, without getting busted? The summers bound to be chalk full of love affairs, friendships, and rivalries. These are the best days of your life. Mine as well live up every minute of it right?
Those were the best days of my life…
