It was a warm August night, the 31st, when an owl swooped down over the Astronomy tower of Hogwarts. In it's claws was a piece of parchment that could both make or break the ways of the world forever. A prophecy set to destroy or build the lives of fourteen students who would soon be within the walls of the school. No matter what happened or who did anything, the wizarding world and especially Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, would never be the same. Dark times would once again step forth and yet another war was about to break out.
It was less than a year ago when that owl dropped the letter in front of Ginny Potter's feet. The cold, blank stare on her face as she read the letter was, to say the least, priceless. Why the newly appointed Headmistress didn't decide to close the school the moment she read that note is still yet to be determined. But a few hours later, students eagerly made their way onto the Hogwarts Express and then to the school itself. When they had arrived, no one quite knew what to expect. The look and feel of the castle seemed dark and gloomy, though it being night time when they had arrived, everyone just assumed that was the way it was supposed to feel. The start of term feast began with the usual sorting ceremony, followed by dinner, and then words from the Headmistress herself. No one in the Great Hall at that moment will ever forget what she had to say, for it was something that struck fear into the hearts of all.
"Dark times lie ahead for all. Within these walls lie a great many who are blinded by hate and rage. Those who will someday become known. When that day comes, only those with pureness in their hearts will be able to fight the battle and win the war. And the war is growing ever so closer." Although, at that moment, no one really knew what Ginny Potter had really meant, over the course of that year, several rumors had gotten out. With the help of a few select friends, one Slytherin girl found her way into the Headmistress' chambers only to find a simple letter laid on the desk. That girl had picked it up, tucked it neatly away in her robes, and waited until she was completely alone to read what it had said.
The seven with the power to vanquish the new Dark Lord reside within the walls of ages past. Together they are strong, divided they shall fall at the hand of the darkness.
1. The leader of the group, with white magic in her veins. 2. The one who holds the darkness within her past. 3. The protector of man kind by name. 4. The caring son of brain and brawn. 5. The loyal heart of Hufflepuff. 6. The son of bravery and beauty past. 7. The son of power and wit combined.
The darkness are the seven with the ability to stand in the way. They are unknown to the world but their strength is hidden within walls of green and silver.
1. The darker member of a set of twins. 2. The bitter son of red and gold. 3. The troubled mind of a snake who’s soul is clouded. 4. The child of the darkness of pasts turned presents. 5. The son of a caring couple gone array. 6. The arrogant son of old evil. 7. The forgotten brother of the third light.
Once the prophecy was finally out, suspicion began to grow in the school. Everyone knew that the new Dark Lord would undoubtedly be Draco Malfoy, a truly dark wizard. But they were all worried about who they might be in the prophecy. Or if they were even in it at all. Although some were made obvious, others remained a mystery to everyone, even they themselves. Every piece must be put together to bring Hogwarts out of the darkness. But how? The suspicions caused drama and chaos to arise within the walls once more. House rivalries became deeper. The corridors held duels that Hogwarts had never seen before. Quidditch was now a real contact sport. All hell was broken loose at Hogwarts, and still, the prophecy was yet to be determined.
A new year has dawned on Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Students, both new and old, are lining up to get on that train and come back. Most are afraid of what will happen and still have yet to figure out if they are mentioned or not. Whereas others are eager and willing to help fight both good and bad no matter what. The school is still just as chaotic and crazy as it was the ending of last term. But can the students and professors figure out the prophecy’s meaning in time and stop all of the madness? Or will the wizarding world be doomed to fall at the hands of those chosen few? Where will you stand in all of this? Nothing is certain anymore, but there is one thing everyone can be sure of. Hogwarts will never be the same again.
