BROADCAST THIS, NEW ORLEANS!Monday, August 29th, 2005 was a sad day for most New Orleans locals. The day the eye of Hurricane Katrina took over the town and the new went wild. They seemed to have a feild day with the unfortunate natural disaster that had to have happened to one of America's finest cities. However the world soon became uninterested and acted like everything was just swell once September rolled around. That wasn't the way things were like at all. Far from it really. School was delayed, all water was tainted, and New Orleans natives had had it up to here. The town had nearly gone crazy. They had to be to stay in such a mess.
Two years since this ordeal homes have been rebuilt, the ones who had lost their minds seemed to have regained a bit of their saneness and the city of New Orleans has come back to being nearly fully healed. WRONG, again. Though most cities through out the county seemed to be looking good right around now not nearly half of the south side was looking livable. It was quite unfortunate but sadly true. However you saw none of this in the news. The media covered stories up about the hurricane completely but the town really needed to face it's problems. Sadly they haven't and the future of New Orleans has been suffering because of this.
Though the South Side of New Orleans consisted of mostly poor, middle class families. None just so happened to have nowhere else to go so they stayed in the rubbish which was now their homes. Water stains spoltched each house on every neighborhood and the children of New Orleans were forced to watch the places they grew up go down hill. This left most of the kids traumatized.
Most of the middle schoolers changed as they stepped foot in Crest Canyon High School. One of the many schools that miraculously made tit through the brutality of Hurricane Katrina. Most of the middle & lower class kids attended the high school but the "in" crowd were the ones with the money. The school is mighty diverse and has been around for century and it truly is astonishing it made it through Katrina's awful wraff.
Once entering it's lush halls that plenty with old school lockers you'll see many different faces. Some which belong to friends, and others bullies. A few stoners here and there, you might even pass by a yuppie. You'll certainly run into one of the many gothics. Stroll by the very *friendly* persons. Wave to the weirdos. It wouldn't be Crest Canyon High if you didn't lawl by the loners. Get down with the grunges. Kick it with the nuts talkers and you'll always have to deal with the drama-queens.
Whatever group suits you, you'll end up finding at Crest Canyon High. Or any high school for that matter. Whatever the case, the school certainly won't change you.
People always end up the way they started out. No one ever changes. They think they do but they don't. If you're the depressed type now that's the way you'll always be. If you're the mindless happy type now, that's the way you'll be when you grow up. You might lose some weight, your face may clear up, get a body tan, breast enlargement, a sex change, it makes no difference. Essentially, from in front, from behind. Whether you're 13 or 50, you will always be the same.
So get ready to get judged and enter the vicous halls of... CREST CANYON HIGH!
