Event Ideas

I know Lainey has some ideas for the events, since one for a play is currently happening. I just wanted to throw these ideas out. One, because it might be fun and two, ebcause i'm too bored to reply. xD

-Battle of the Bands // Talent Show
Maybe a talent show, so students can shpw what they do, or we can make a competition with music. Students can form bands, sing solo, or vote.

-Spirit Week
Well, there are themes the entire week, and you get judged for how much spirit your clothes show. Creativity is the main key. On Friday, of the spirit week, the person with the most points win the title of Spirit King and Queen. Maybe even a spirit ball.

I love the ideas. Battle of the bands sounds awesome since I love those things. Spirit Week sounds good too since I want to get more in the school with the roleplaying especially after we finish Vegas.

I have some ideas for the end of November & December..
-School Elections; to find the student council members, [president, vice-president, secretary etc] to get involved.
-Basketball Games; it's basketball season, considering football is over around now. i'm not sure about lacrosse, but that should be an option sometime around considering it's a populated team.
-Cotillion/Debutante Ball; very formal event for all the girls in Valkyrie to make their big debut. escorts, rehearsals, the whole shibang.
-Holiday Party; at someone's house.. drama rama, mistletoe, maybe even some secret santa - all those lovely things OR..
-Holiday Charity Ball; for all the Valk kids who's parents drag them to the posh, fancy and well kept charity events. but we all know that our parents are friends with the other parents as well, so obviously we're going to see familiar Valkyrie Academy faces.

Ah! I love the idea of a Cotillion/Debutante Ball! That would be rather fitting for the girls of Valkyrie, and they could have the boys as their escorts. Great idea.

Oh yes, I agree with Chrissy on Cotillion. Fun fun for everyone.

I have been also thinking, that winter brings finals for the first semester. Not that we have to roleplay any of that out, just keeping it in mind since after all this is an academy, so we shouldn't let what happens normally in school go to waste. As for student elections, I'll most likely sending a mass pm maybe tomorrow or next week on that one since we should get that on a roll.

And for the charity ball, I like it. I also thought for New Year's there would be a masquerade party, since I have always wanted that on here, just never found an opportune moment for that one.

So, now that Christmas is nearing maybe a charity event for kids less fortunate?
I was thinking like an all night dance competition maybe with a year theme and couples would have nonstop dancing. If I remember right this was on a Gilmore Girls episode, haha.

Also, a maybe a winter ball? You know school dances always bring out lots of drama.

Another Thing...

you know the board before this one? [previously on valkyrie academy] well maybe you should delete that. it's only like the first week of valkyrie and so many weeks have passed for the school && many people joined. so more threads and drama is happening but not everyone knows of every one of them - and i don't think anyone would want to read every single thread and see what happens and then type it all down.

don't have to take my suggestion, since i'm not an admin nor a mod. i was just saying // pointing out...
