Alexandra sighed, then, before clamoring off of Daphne and to her feet, whispered "Yes. We do." She straightened herself out, brushing off her shirt and adjusting her skirt, then made the grand gesture:
She held a hand out to help Daphne up. The people in the crowd were surprised, and she heard a few whispers of 'What the Hell is she doing?'
She took a deep breath. For once, she didn't feel like making a snide remark, she didn't even feel like rolling her eyes. She felt like talking, getting things across. Although, after tonight, Alex doubted they'd ever, ever be friends, but being nothing was better than being enemies.
Right?

Antony nodded, "Yeah, it's all set up." He grinned, sprinting forward and grabbing two empty towels off of the sand, shaking them free of the sand, then jogged back to her.
"Here," He said, handing her a baby-blue towel that looked good with her shirt, "Dry off and wrap it around your waist. I'd rather not have every guy here staring at your ass." He laughed, rubbing his own navy blue towel through his hair, then draping it over his shoulders.
He held his hand out, ready to guide Kylie to the cove at the end of the beach, where a laturn would be sitting, waiting to be lit, and a bouquet of roses would be resting, along with the build-a-bear he had gotten her.
"I think you'll really like it." He said, although in his mind he said 'I hope you'll really like it.'

Hearing the remarks as she grabbed Alex's hand. One of the moments in movies where the cameramen would zoom in on the hands. Alex helped Daphne up. When she got to her feet she brushed off all the sand that stuck to her stomach and swimming suit.
She looked at the crowd, who only gaped. Wondering if it was an act. If they would start again. They had both said some nasty things. But, Daphne wasn't one to hold grudges very long. Though she may forgive Alex eventually, she doubted they would be friends.
Daphne motioned towards the shore closes to the waves. She just needed to relax and cool down, and she was sure Alex needed to too.

Alexandra followed Daphne, but looked back at Reed for a moment. She half-expected to see him there, shaking his head at her, but she only got a glimpse of him and his friends before turning back towards Daphne.
She opened her mouth to speak, to apologize, to say something, but nothing came out. It was as if her voice had run away, or something. For all she knew, she would never be able to talk again.
Or maybe she was just afraid she'd say the wrong thing. She was afraid she'd say something horrible again, like the remarks about Daphne's weight. That was a low, even for her, and it was somewhere she never wanted to go again.

"Oh my gosh! You have to be the sweetest non-boyfriend ever!" she said to him as she gently kissed his cheek for like the millionth time that night. She was hoping that his surprise wasn't too good because all she had done was give him the first kiss between them. She would feel bad if he had gotten her something amazing.
She dried off the top half of her body, then wrapped the towel around her hair for a minute. Not too much longer, she had wrapped the towel around her waist, and made it so that it would stay there as she walked. "Would you be jealous if all the guys were to look at my ass? Or do you just not want me to look like a whore?"
She took his hand in her's. "Should I close my eyes?"

Daphne sat down. A few minutes based by. She opened her mouth, letting words link together as she said them, "Seeing that you aren't talking, I guess I'll start. I'm sorry. I am. Tonight, was just uncalled for. Our anger just built up inside and it leaked out at a very wrong time."
She sighed. Typical her. She sometimes held in some anger for a while and it came out and someone she didn't mean it too. Given, that they both had the same intentions a few moments ago. It was wrong.

He laughed, "A little of both." He answered, a grin on his face.
"Close your eyes, and when I could to fifty, open them." He said, leading her along. He made pleasant conversation as they went, counting in-between sentences. He had reached thirty-eight, then laughed, "Okay. Wait here, we'll be reaching the destination a little before fifty." He laughed again, "Just let me fix one thing!"
He ran over to the lanturn sitting just inside a cave-like rock formation, and suddenly the two were basked in light. The roses were being held by the build-a-bear, and a picture of her with all her stuffed animals was sitting next to it, with the words 'Adding a new one to your collection' written across the bottom.
He walked up to her, looking at how far away from the bonfire they were, and whispered into her ear; "Fifty."

Alexandra sighed, and words finally gurgled up from the pit of her soul.
When they came, it seemed as if they'd never stop.
"I'm the sorry one. I've been such a bitch to you. I don't even know why, it's like, from the moment I met you something about you just make me hate you. I'm sorry I'm such a bitch, and I'm sorry I'm jealous of you, and everything, and I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry." She said, tears threatening to roll down her face, "I just didn't know how else to handle you. I'm not good at accepting that someone can be-" Her voice dropped so low that it was barely inaudible, "That someone is better than I am." She sighed, putting her face in her hands and letting the hot, salty tears stream down. She hadn't cried in ages, and it was a horrible way to spend a party; crying like a five-year-old on the beach.

It was over, Anna knew it, so she turned swiftly to find someone she knew. Someone she could...hang out with until the night ended and she could get back to doing whatever it was she had been doing before the need to dance set in. She elogantly twirled past people, past the crowds, her feet sinking within the sand as she past each person. She wish she had her camera and her phone. She could talk to someone she knew, or atleast be a camera whore for once.

After she heard him say that he wanted her eyes closed, she did just that. "Don't run me into anything. I don't want to get hurt tonight." She smiled, knowing that he wasn't going to hurt her, she just liked to tease him.
She heard the word fifty, and she slowly opened her eyes. Her jaw dropped as she looked over what all was there. "Oh my gosh! Are you serious? This isn't for me, is it?" Kylie put a hand over her open mouth, and stared down at what was sitting there. "This is so sweet! There's no way that this is all for me."

Antony laughed, "Of course it's all for you, silly!" He exclaimed, pulling her towards the lantern.
"I got you the roses because nothing makes a better black-and-white than a girl holding a dozen roses, and nothing makes a better technicolor than a beautiful girl named Kylie holding roses," He glanced at her, a smile playing on his lips, then he lifted the bear and handed it to her, "And I got you to bear so that you can have a bigger collection." He was really proud of this bear; It wore goofy shoes, jeans, a t-shirt that read "Italy or Bust", and held a little toy camera.
As he handed it to her, his face lit up, "It's all yours." He whispered, hoping she'd hug it so it could say it's cute little "I love you too!"

The two sat on the beach. Daphne didn't know how to respond to it. As Alex started to cry, Daphne reached over and patted her back.
"I think," she began, reasoning with herself, "that we should just put this behind us. True, we probably won't be chatting at Starbucks in a week talking about our weekend, but we can just...be, you know? This we are having now, let's not let it ruin our night. In the next five minutes something else will happen and they'll be crowding around that. Anyways, Reed's waiting for you."
She had looked behind her, to see Reed lingering near the shed, waiting for them to be finished. He would probably want to see if they were ok, just not wanting to stop their forgivings.

Alex rubbed her eyes, looking at Daphne. "You really are a good person. I see why my brother holds you so highly as a friend." She said, then she laughed, "My mascara, it's not all over my face, is it?" She laughed, one of those oddly-comforting 'I've just been crying' laughs, and shook her head.
"I'm sorry I've been such a bitch." She said simply, and then she just walked away, striding slowly up to Reed, her head held high, even though the whole school just got money-shots of her thong while she was on the ground wrestling with Daphne.
Her fault.
"I'm...sorry I made myself look like an idiot back there," She began, wiping at her eyes, "And I'm sorry...that had to happen at all." She laughed, looking at the ground, "Do you...forgive me?" She asked, looking up at him with wide, green-yellow-brown eyes, watery and sweet.
Dear God, she prayed, Don't let him say no.

"Antony! This has to be the sweetest thing that anyone's ever done for me. You're not even dating me and you did this. Awww," she said, her voice sounding very happy and cheerful. "I feel bad since I didn't get you anything worth while. I'm sorry..." her voice kind of trailed off at the end because she felt bad. He had gotten her the world, and she had only kissed him.
She mad a pouty face, and placed her head and the head of the bear. She then gave it a squeeze. After hearing the words 'I love you too' come from it, Kylie was surprised. A smile returned and lit up her face again. "Ohhh, Antony! You shouldn't have. You made it yourself and I love it!"

Antony blushed, "You're welcome," He laughed, "But the truth is," He leaned forward, getting as close to her as possible, "I only did this to see you smile." He said, his voice teasing.
He was tempted to ask her out, then and there, but something was stopping him. Something wasn't right yet.
He sat down, motioning for her to sit with him, and pointed up at the sky. The moon was full, and it was reflecting into the ocean. The ripples of the water morphed the reflection of the moon from a circle, to a valentine heart, and he whispered in her ear, "If I don't make your hear skip a beat, then hate me." He kissed her on the cheek, holding her close as the music from the bonfire drifted past them, and off into the night.
