I know you can hear me I know you can feel me I cant live without you God please make me better I wish I wasn't the way I am ______________
To most Valkyrie students, today was their third night in Vegas. Brady, wasnt one of those lucky few. Tonight was his first night here. Yes. He had arrived late. But, that was by choice. You see, he had decided that his cousins wedding was a lot more important then arriving at Vegas when everyone else had. And plus, arriving late was better for him, he hadnt yet known anyone except for Daphney, and seeing her again was most likely out of the question. So, therefore comming when everyone else did would put some pressure on his low self-esteem, seeing as chances are he and his headphones would be ignored. Even that thought alone made him cringe. I guess that you could say, that because of that, he hadnt gone to a club for his first night. Instead, he had went to the Bellagio Gallery Of Fine Art. He was also here because he loved art. But, he would never admit it.
_______________ You can see it in my eyes Im all cried out, with nothing to say You're everything I want it to be If you could only see, your heart belongs to me I love you so much, Im yearning for your touch Come and set me free, forever yours I'll be Baby wont you come and take this pain away ________________
Brady basically hid next to the walls as he studied the magnificent art, in fear that someone would see him. If someone did in fact see him, he knew how easy it would be to just duck and run, out of this place. He was quick enough to do so.
_________________ And if it matters I'd rather stay home, With you I'm never alone, Don't wanna wait till your gone Dont ever leave me Just don't leave me __________________
Out of pure bordom, Brady lifted his 'oh-so-famous' head phones and placed them on his ears. He knew, that he seriousley needed knew ones. He needed something high-tech, like an i-pod. But, he didnt have the money for that. And plus, he didnt have the heart to give his headphones up. They were nice enough to pump music to his ears. And plus, no matter what, whenever he was cold, they would be on his ears to warm them up. The only real problem he had with them, is they were a little staticy, and they pained his head because of their massive size. But, he always carried advil with him. So that pain didnt normally last long, seeing as he basically ate advil as a meal.

Step. Look. Breathe. Step. Look. Breathe. Tsk. Tsk. Pace. Step. Look. Breathe. Ooh. Ahh. Marvelous.
Antony Bastian was, as anyone who knew him would easily have guessed, inspecting the art on display at the Bellagio. He followed what he had been taught as a child, take one step, look at the painting- take it all in -breathe- clear your mind -and then make quiet commentary.
He continued on this routine, some of the art truly taking his breath away. He could only dream of being good enough to someday have something on display here.
He could see the reflection of his white tux jacket in the glass casing, noting that the black lapels were folded oddly. His dark blue jeans were held up by a hemp belt he had gotten when he arrived in the city.
He felt lonely, having come to Vegas late and alone. He looked down at his feet, white sneakers glinting in the ambient lighting. He continued on his routine, before stopping and sighing loudly. Nobody else was here, anyway. Did he have to put up the front that he was some amazing art critic?
He began walking at a fast pace-due to his all-or-nothing attitude towards putting up a front-and ran head-on into another person.
"Crap." He said quietly, even though his voice still echoed in the almost-empty room. "I'm so sorry. I wasn't watching where I was going." He shook his head, his shaggy deep maple hair shifting out of his eyes.
"Are you . . . you look my age. Do you go to my school, or something?"

Brady stood still. Pretending to be admiring the art. And, surprisingly, he was doing rather well. He found nothing amazing about this art, it was just useless clutter to him. He didnt even understand why people took time to make it. The only way that he would ever consider creating such junjk, was if he was held against his will, at gun point, being told he had too, or the trigger would bhe pulled. Now, though that was a freaky thought, thats how he felt. Now, he knew there were people that enjoyed these peices of art, and that was the only reason why he wouldnt verbally poke fun at it. He figured, that, if someone poked fun at music, he would punch them straight in the eye, and he knew that artist were serious people, so he had no doubt that if he made fun of art, they would punch him. And, needless to say, he wasnt in the mood to be punched.
Just as Brady closed his eyes, as to blink, he felt his body tumble over and hit the floor. Dammit. What just happened? Brady opened his eyes, revaling another guy. Brady sighed, he really wasnt hoping for company. Brady put his hands behind his back and pushed his body up a little bit, he let his legs do the rest of the work and, in a matter of seconds he was back standing. But not fully straight, he was leaning hunched over a bit, his back was aching really bad. And, he would have taken advil right then, but he didnt want to look like some compulsive priss in front of this other guy. He had to act tough.
"Yah, dude. Dont worry about it. I should have been aware of my surroundings, too." Brady admitted. He really didnt wish to talk, but he couldnt be rude. That just wasnt him. And I guess, thats why he still felt bad about rejecting Daphney. And that sparked another thought. Where was she? What was she doing? Dammit. Why was he thinking about her? He only met her once, and he was the one that rejected her. So, she shouldnt matter to him, what so ever...right? Well, anyway, she was probably fucking some dude right now. Ah. THat thought made him ticked off. Dammit, she had to have put some voodoo on him or something.
Brady lifted his left hand to push his hair out of his face. He needed to look at this guy if he was going to talk to him. "Well, if you go to Valkyire, then yes, I do. But I doubt you go there, so chances are, no, I dont. And if you are 17, I am your age," Brady said, his voice normally would have come out as a whisper, but, because of the near emptiness of the room, his voice came out to sound at a regular volume. Something very new to him.

Antony raised one eyebrow at the boy, "I go to Valkyrie. I haven't seen you around before. Are you new to the school or something?" He asked, giving the boy a once-over. He may not know everyone in the school, but his sister sure did. Maybe she knew him.
"I'm Antony. And, again, I'm really sorry about the whole...knocking you over thing." He made one of his dorky facial expressions and shrugged, shaking his head a bit. "You are alright, yeah? Because I don't want to find out you like, broke a rib, and then questions are raised and I get in trouble for running off to Vegas and Valkyrie kicks me out."
Antony scratched his head, grimacing at the thought. He couldn't lose Valkyrie. That would devastate him.

Shrock rose through Brady as he heard the guy say that he went to Valkyrie. "Really?" He asked, still surprised, and letting his voice show it. Brady chuckled a bit, "Well, I guess Valkyrie did take over Vegas," Brady said, smile and all. It had been the first time he had actually laughed for a while, but, chances were that was because he had barley talked to anyone thus far, and had never gotten the chance to have an actual conversation with anyone except his dog, who always refused to answer him. "Well, I am kindof new here, only been here for a month. Maybe thats why you dont know me" Brady shrugged. "And, I really havent been making much of an effort to meet people. SO, again, there is another reason why you might not know me" Brady admited.
"Yah. Im fine" Brady said. "And dont worry, even if I did get hurt. I wouldnt report you, seeing as I wouldnt have the guts to say that someone else accidently did it to me. That would be a little to embarrassing for me. Chances are, if I was hurt, I would just say I fell down the stairs" Brady said. He was, yes, admitting that he was easily embarrassed, yet, lucky for him it wasnt to blunt. As Brady finished speaking, he noticed something, music was still pouring into his ears. In fear of being rude, he brought the headphones down around his neck and turned the volume down. Just so he could hear more clear and would seem like he was brought up well, even though he wasnt.
Brady looked up at another painting. It was a quite a bit glassy, so he was able to see his reflection. He wasnt able to see it fully. But, he was able to see a bit of himself. He was able to make out the scruffiness of his onyx hair. He was able to fully see the navy jogging jacket that hung on his upper body, and the worn out jeans that lay on his legs. But, what was the amazing thing, was that he didnt buy his jeans scruffed up. He has bought them when they were clean cut. But, over time, slits were torn in them, grass stains spread over them, and the color began to fade. God, he had had these jeans for a long time.

Antony smiled, "Well, 'tis the season for Valkyrie kids to be in Vegas."
"So, what are you doing in an art gallery? These places are pretty boring." He shrugged, looking around at the place. They were the only ones there.
People just didn't appreciate fine art anymore. Antony did, but he was a rare breed. Overly-mature, overly-caring, overly-artistic. Go figure.
Antony chuckled, "Good to know. What are you listening to?" He pointed at the headphones and smiled brightly. He loved music. It always brightened a gloomy day.
Antony, feeling suddenly uncomfortable, adjusted the lapels on his tux jacket and rubbed his foot against the back of his calf. He had an itch. He didn't like it. He missed his friend, he hadn't seen them at all in Vegas.
Most likely because A) He was just getting here, and B) He was in an art gallery and NOT out at a club. But that isn't the point. Really. It isn't.
