dance, dance_______________ For a girl who didn't like cold weather, she sure could handle it well. Or so Jason's perception of Anne's outfit that afternoon was. He had watched her leave early for dance rehearsals for Cotillion, while he stayed in his room finishing his homework. Recently, he'd been focusing on getting some decent amount of work, which is the closest thing that would take him away from Valkyrie. He glanced out the window to see it was a little breezy outside, but the clouds that had formed the rain early that day were leaving. He bit his lip as he waited until he heard the door slam, meaning that Anne had left. He had been avoiding her at all costs, because he wasn't sure if she had a knife with her when she glared at him. He made a mistake. Big fucking deal. People had to get over it at some point.
That was his philosophy. Besides, he had spent two weeks not being himself, not partying, not being with girls. Why should some scrawny, alcoholic brunnette stop him from being whom he was? So what if he almost raped Daphne. He stopped caring and knew that if it were to get out, which it might have already, he could pay people off easily. He slammed his book shut as he got up and looked into the hallway. He then walked down several doors where Garrett was staying. Inside, Garrett was listening to 'Jack Johnson' and reading 'The Catcher and the Rye'. Jason shook his head. The little douche. He then walked into Garrett's room and snatched the yellow coat that hung near the window. Immediately, Garrett looked up and gave Jason a sheepish glare.
"The least you could do is ask.."
"You'll live. It'll be back with nice little pussy juice all over it. Maybe that will liven up your sex life."
"My sex life has nothing to do with yours, Jason."
"Not even close, Garrett."
Conversations between most of the Lévesque siblings had been brutal lately. No one had been getting along. Anne was mad at Jason for the whole Daphne situation. She also didn't like hanging around Garrett, for the sake of her reputation. Jason was terrified of Anne at the moment and he had never liked Garrett to begin with. Garrett... well he had nothing against anyone, and felt like he was in the middle of a big war that he had no idea about. Poor kid. Jason then slammed Garrett's door and went down the hallway, soon making his way down the spiraling staircase to the marble foyer. He sighed a little, not much enjoying the idea of the dance rehearsals, which he had done for too long. At least he had a hot date. He smirked at the idea and made his way to his BMW.
Anne on the other hand was in a big pool of being confused. Everything was going so fast, and she was trying her best to just keep her composure and smile. Be a barbie doll. She had left quickly to avoid Jason, another unpleasant drive with him to the country club would make her dive into the gross fish infested waters. Rachel Yamagata was filling the black, newly cleaned car as she made her way down the gravel road. The rain had messed up her hair at school that day, but most of it had been thoughts of avoiding. Usually, she faced her problems up from and didn't even bother hiding her face. But at Valkyrie, there was her brother, her nerdy cousin from Greece whom her best friends were fawning over, her ex boyfriend and Oscar. It was painful enough seeing him there with Kelsey at dress fittings, but every day.. well it was rough.
The country club had the same kind of set up as it had in the dress fittings. In the main lobby, a sign was posted for all Valkyrie students to head to the ballroom for dance rehearsals. So, Anne made her way down the carpeted hallways with chandeliers over her and her little heels tapping the soft ground. She looked at the big oak doors that lead to the ballroom, which was a massive place, with a stage, open floor and a couple of tables around the room. A couple of people were there, but Anne was waiting for her escort, Luke Summitt. The thing was so random, but what made it more ironic, was that everything felt so switched up. Luke and Kelsey were a thing, and Anne and Oscar were a secret thing. Anne sometimes felt it should be the opposite. If this Cotillion wasn't a public thing.
Jason had arrived not much later, entering the ballroom and seeing Anne waiting there impatiently. He avoiding her glance, running his hand through his hair. He looked at some sheets on a table, which explained the dance everyone was to be doing. Formal dancing, the usual that he had grown up to learn. The man puts his hands on the girls waist and holds her hand up gracefully. She holds his shoulder. Then it was a one, two, three. One, two, three. One, two, three. Hold. And over and over again. A very boring use of your time, in Jason's opinion. So there he waited for Brianna.

can't control my hips______________ Very warm day. Not. Actually, it was rather cold outside. The first part of Cotillion was done, and today was the day for the second one. Brianna wasn't as excited for the dance rehearsals as she was for the dress fittings. Then again, the first time she had been excited because well, it was the first thing for Cotillion. This was the second, so she was kind of used to it. Brianna was much more excited for the actual ball, and sometimes, she wished that she could just skip everything and go to the ball. At least with the dance rehearsals, and will stop her from messing something up. Plus, Brianna wouldn't want to embarrass herself by not knowing how to do something, and she certainly didn't want to make a mistake in front of Jason.
Parking her car, Brianna thought that she must have had so much luck for everything to happen. Her hopes were gone when she had been in the car crash, but now, everything seemed to be going her way. She had gotten better sooner than she had suspected, Brianna had gotten that part as Betty Rizzo in the play, and of course, she got to go to Cotillion. Brianna got out of her car, locked it and whatnot. The rehearsals were at the country club, the same place the fitting had been before. Brianna neer went to the country club until the dress fittings, and still didn't know it that well. She had the money, but didn't feel like going to the place. But she decided that she was going to go after Brianna saw what they had.
Soon enough, she saw a sign that told her where the ballroom was. Brianna walked through the hallways, and soon arrived at the doors. She entered the ballroom, and her lips immediately turned into a smile. Brianna looked around, admiring how everything looked. It was so orgainized and a perfect place. Whoever thought of this place for everything is a genius... Brianna thought to herself. As her eyes went form the tables to the stage and everything else, it found and of course stopped at something. It was a guy, but not any guy. It was a certain person that Brianna seemed to like
[/s] really liked. Brianna walked towards him, and said," Hey Jason." Brianna felt like she was a little bit early, seeing only Jason and his sister, Anne and maybe some other people that were at a place she couldn't see. Brianna never really met Anne, and she heard little about her. Actually, Brianna heard some people talking about her, but never Jason. Obviously, everyone had to wait for more people to come before anything started. Lately, the only guy that had been in her life the most was Jason. There was Luke, who she had a fling with - not expected that was for sure. There was also Andrew, the guy she had given a little makeover too. Oh, that little crush she had on him would surely be gone by the end of this day. And if not, it will be gone soon. Brianna seem to know those guys more than her dad, and she didn't know some of them well. Speaking of dad, Brianna's father had been acting different lately. Not bad in any way, shape, or form at all. He had been talking to her lately, always trying to spend time with Brianna when he could. It was actually scaring her a little bit, but she couldn't help but like it. Her life seemed to be so confusing ever since she moved to Valkyrie, but Brianna had to admit, things went her way eventually. [/blockquote][/blockquote] ______________

________ Several people had also started to filter into the ballroom, but Jason was fixated on the teacher whom was going to help them with their dancing. He furrowed his eyebrows at her. She had to be around fifty or sixty, some fugly age. With curly red locks that were cut like a boy's and round glasses that belonged to St. Nick. She seemed to have pursed lips with maroon lipstick that could leave a mark on your cheek for years. Bright blue eyeshadow, clumpy mascara and a Chanel pant suit. This lady meant business, but it in the most trashy and ugly way. He grimaced slightly, as he averted his gaze and looked at Anne for a moment. She looked miserable. He felt somewhat responsible, but then again, the bitch needed to toughen up.
Then, suddenly, he heard the big oak doors open once again, and purely out of boredom he looked to see whom it was. Ironically, it was exactly whom he was waiting for, and felt somewhat lucky. A lot of the guys who came early were escorting girls that planned on being fashionably late, but Brianna, well he figured she must be different. Not that he didn't know that she wasn't different from the start already. She seemed, well, not like all the other cheerleaders, but in a way, a lot like them. It was fun to study her and her every move, along with her physique, which he eyeballed on a normal basis. He smirked a little as he walked over to her, adjusting his coat a bit before finally reaching her. She greeted him and he toyed his eyes all over her before he bowed.
"Bee." Jason answered, dipping down and kissing the palm of her hand. Despite that a lot of his friends knew he was an asshole to girls, which he knew he was and was proud of it - he had his moments. His parents had always scolded him to be a perfect gentleman in this type of atmosphere, and it was almost like a second reaction to be that type of person. In all honesty, he wasn't sure if it was going to last, but he was hoping it would. Just for the sake of not being dirty. Believe it or not, sometimes Jason could be a very very big germaphobic. It was quite enthusing. "Nice to see you could be here, and on time. And, on a side note.." Jason said, leaning in a slightly whispering in Brianna's ear.
"Even though this won't be how we danced in the club, I think we can still have our share of.. fun." Jason said, squeezing her bottom before leading her toward a table for the sign in sheet.

His Humps__________________
Oscar Lyon was already not having a good day. It was bad enough that he was trying to work on his own collection for The Premier, but as he was working on it in the secluded dorm room he hadn't left in the past few days except for classes. As of fifteen minutes ago, he was in deep concentration. Then it was like a light bulb went off. You know, where you suddenly remember something you have to do? Well, that happened to Oscar who suddenly realized that he had to go to the dance rehearsals for the cotillion thing.
Oscar particulary didn't want to go. He probably wouldn't have even attended when the girls of Valkyrie's society would debut. But that was until a couple weeks ago when a friend, Kelsey Lewington asked him to be her escort. Oscar had wondered why Kelsey didn't have a escort anyway. She was one of the popular girls at the school anyway. He didn't know why, but he told her he would. That was when at the first part of the cotillion, Oscar discovered that Kelsey's ex, Luke Summitt, was going to be Anne's escort. He couldn't help but sense the irony in this situation, and in the back of Oscar's mind did he think that he should be escorting Anne, and Luke should be escorting Kelsey.
The dance rehearsals were to what? Start within the half hour, and Oscar was still wearing plaid pajama pants and a Star Wars t-shirt. What was one to wear to a dance rehearsal? At the last rehearsal, he hadn't worn much more than jeans and a polo shirt when they were trying on tuxes. Right now though, half of his mind was thinking if you had to look nice, while the other half was thinking would Kelsey rip on him for being late. He knew the girl could be mean, but he had never witnessed it first-hand, and wasn't planning on it. So, Oscar threw on some nice dress pants, vest, and a tie (to look a little bit formal).
Keys in one hand and the doorknob in the other, he left his dorm room quickly and half raced to his car in the school's parking lot. Somehow, he had managed to get to the country club in time without going over the speed limit. But, he also managed to get a little out of breath as he reached the country club's main entrance. The bellboy opened the door for him and he directed himself to the dance room with getting a little lost along the way. Oscar's parents were part of the country club, but Oscar had probably been here a total of five times. He for one didn't even like it, because nothing ever appealed to him. He wasn't ready to jump into the pool or play some tennis, since he hated both of them.
Oscar entered the room cautiously. There were people already in the room, including Anne. His gaze fell on her's for only a moment before he looked away and stood near the entrance. It looked like Luke wasn't there either. Typical. He should have known that Anne would get a jocky jock to escort her. Oscar was surprised that Luke wasn't a waterpolo player. But, I guess Anne was also into players. Oscar never liked Luke, the way he played girls. So he just stood near the door paitently waiting for Kelsey to come.

____________ "Anne! Oh mah god, hey! Like, how are you? I just love your pants, where'd you get them?" The voice stung Anne's ears, as she glanced to her side and saw Quincy, the peppiest of them all. She had bouncy red hair and plump red lips that looked like they were smeared with tomato sauce. It almost made Anne puke in her mouth with this gross taste of fashion and just lifestyle. This girl always thought that Anne and her were the best of friends, when really, Quincy wasn't even invited to Summitt parties. How could Anne possibly treat this girl with the least bit of respect? She rolled her eyes, like she always did and crossed her arms over her chest. She then pursed her lips, turning towards Quincy.
"A little boutique that wouldn't let you in even if the world were to implode. Have a lovely day, spazz." Anne simply sneered, then turned her head and walked to a different spot. She could still imagine poor little Quincy standing there with pouting lips and such. Boo, that whore. Anne then glanced over slightly at Jason, whom was chatting it up with whom he was escorting, Brianna Malinda. In all honesty, she didn't see this coming. Anne wasn't a fan of many Malindas, but Brianna was an exception. The girl had style, could carry on well with a sentence and didn't fall under pressure. But usually Jason escorted sluts and whores, whom just screwed him during every rehearsal, but Anne wasn't even sure if Brianna was a virgin or not.
Suddenly, the doors opened and in came Oscar Lyon. Anne didn't know how to react when it came to him anymore, but all she knew was that her body was always frozen up with anger, regret, excitement, lust, embarrassment and lastly - a great liking. She really did like him, but when he told her at the newspaper meeting that he liked her as well, she couldn't exactly take in what he said. She really didn't like the idea of being a second to Haley, now that Haley probably rejected him at Las Vegas. Sure, she was full of anger back at the meeting, obviously not being a morning person, but there was also a sense of missing. Missing Lyon, to be more specific. But, he'd already defeated her pride enough for a day. So, she quickly turned and walked someplace else, looking at a portrait hanging on the ballroom wall, glancing at him once and quickly over the shoulder before walking.
Oh, where'd all the good people go?

Rock it, Don't Stop it
Honestly? Luke Summitt didn’t give a shit about Cotillion because afterall, why would he? Just about everybody in Valkyrie knew who he was, and if they didn’t know it was probably for a reason. And the dancing? Luke, like most boys at his age, saw no interest in dancing unless it was hot, steamy, and sexual. Even when dancing with a cutie such as Anne Levesque, he knew he was going to be pretty damn bored just holding her hand and her waist. Whatever. Ever since the whole Kelsey/Emilia situation Luke had been pretty much staying away from girls. Of course he could resist an easy girl now and then, but for the most part he had taken himself out of the game. How very un-Luke-like, huh? He probably couldn't have given a strait answer to why, probably some bullshit about being burnt out for a week or so, but honestly he was just confused. He didn't know how he was feeling towards what was happening between him and the two girls that had been occupying his mind for the last month, but he did know that throwing another girl into the mix would only make things worse. God, just sitting next to the two at the basketaball game seemed to make things worse.
Rolling up a few minutes late as usual in his fathers new black 2008 BMW, Luke Summitt parked the car in Country Club lot, and made his way inside. Normally he would have waited for Amanda or Talan, but it looked as if Amanda was running extremely late, and Talan had his own ride from the dorms. Upon entering the room that practices were being held, Luke took a quick glance around. Luckily there was no Kelsey in sight, but ugh, her lame date, Oscar, was standing next to the doorway. God, Luke still couldn't understand how a kid as annoying and tool-ish as Oscar scored a girl like Kelsey as his date, and had a girl like Anne wishing she were his date. What-the-fuck. The kid obviously must have some nice cologne or something, because it wasn't his looks, or his personality that was attracting the ladies. Apparently some things in life Luke would just never understand- girl's PMSing and how Oscar Lyons got girls.
Brushing rudely by the kid Luke mummbled a sly, "Watch out" as he practically pushed Oscar to the side and walked over to Anne who was looking cute as usual. "Hey there" Luke gave her a hug before looking around and smirking a little, "So you ready to help me learn some lame-ass dance moves?"

-------- this one's for the lovers if you're out there let me hear you The whole Cotillion thing was getting less and less exciting as each year passed and Kelsey participated once again. Well the whole rehearsal thing was what was losing its appeal but the main event, the actual cotillion was always fun and she’d be lying if she said that deep down she wasn’t looking forward to it. Give her an excuse to dress up and be escorted by a cute boy and she was game. Kelsey pulled into the country club parking lot, only a little late, and found a spot rather quickly. Stepping out of her black BMW convertible, Kelsey grabbed her purse from the passenger seat, and started to head into the country club for what was sure to be a fun afternoon of having her feet stepped on.
She followed the directions given by the country club employees and found her way to where the dance rehearsals were being held. She had been in a bit of a last minute situation to get a date this year. After the break-up with Luke, the fight in the hallways and the awkwardness of the basketball, she really didn’t want to get involved with someone else and therefore just asked a friend to take her. Of course, after learning Luke was going with Anne, going with Oscar was looking to be a lot more fun. She was a little mad at Anne to be honest, for agreeing to go with Luke and therefore Kelsey wasn’t feeling any remorse for her whole situation with Oscar and was planning to flirt with him more then she ever had before for the sole sake of making some people mad. Lame, but whatever, it was all she had and Kelsey was going to milk for it everything it was worth.
Entering, she looked around for Oscar, but before she spotted him, she saw Luke go up and hug Anne. Ugh, this was going to be more difficult then she thought. Putting a smile on her face, she headed over in Oscar’s direction. ”Hey you,” she called, before leaning in to give him a hug and a kiss on the cheek.

He was sure he was the 'odd one out' of the entire group so far that had arrived. Given, he was the only one looking like a complete loser standing all by himself near the door, while everyone chatted amongst themselves. Even though the best idea would be to go in to the large group and start talking, but that just posed a slight problem of the fact that he didn't know any of the kids. Well, of course he knew them, but he disliked most of them, and he was sure that they knew his dislikement towards them too. So, he just opted that maybe he should just sneak peaks at Anne. How Oscar so badly wanted to just go up to her, and make her listen what he had to say. That what happened in Vegas was a complete, unexplainable, mistake. If Oscar could take it back he would because he still really really liked Anne. And maybe, just maybe she did too. If he didn't screw it up so horribly. Just as he was starting to move towards her, finally the courage in his mind but he was basically ran into.
"Watch out"
None other than Luke Summitt. As Oscar stumpled awkwardly backward with his lanky body did he slightly glare at the 'all-powerful' jock. Oscar was tall, but luke was clearly a couple more inches taller than him, so that just amde him look more threatening than he already looked. He rubbed his shoulder and glared at the back of Luke as he walked over to Anne. "Nice manners, Luke. Maybe cotillion will teach you a little something or two." Now, Oscar said this because one of two things Because, even though he was sure Luke could put him in a coma, he sarcastic side dripped out of his mouth, and he just couldn't help it. And two, because he saw Kelsey coming, and Kelsey would protect him, right?
”Hey you,” He returned Kelsey's hug, adverting his eyes from the pair across the room. Because he didn't want to see Luke cracking his knuckles, and even worse to see Anne doing the same thing back to Luke. He knew the history between Kelsey and Luke, and Oscar was pretty sure that they knew about Anne and himself, not that there was much public history there. "Ah, you came at a great time," he said quickly looking to see some kids start to enter the dance floor with their partners. The old women started beckoning some of the students on to the floor and even made an elaborate arm gesture towards the four of them who were all hanging out in the back. Oscar looked back at Kelsey and crooked his elbow, offering his arm to her. "M'lady?" he asked her with a small smirk as he started to lead her over to the floor where the lady placed them on a certain spot, jabbering about how this was were they were to stand for the dance. "Come on children! We are to teach you who to dance like young adults!" she rang in a high voice as if she was singing to them all.

____________ As Anne observed the paintings on the wall, which consisted of a couple of beaches, palm trees, golf courses and boats, she heard several more people enter the ballroom. None of them seem to interest her. Damn, where was Daphne, Bridget or Ashley when she needed some support? She bit her glossed lip tightly, as she kept her hands crossed over her chest, ignoring the pouty face that Quincy gave her group of friends from being shut down. Toughen up, if you're going to survive in Valkyrie. Anne then heard the door open once again, and in strolled Luke Summitt, her escort. Perfect timing. Someone from her group, her same social rank, and as far as she was concerned, as emotionally defected as she was.
Anne watched closely, seeing as he strided in with the same exact pride as Jason usually did. It was still interesting to see that Jason and Luke weren't friends, because if they were, then wow - it'd be scary. Everything was much to complicated and friendship webs were in different directions. Meaning that Joey and Luke didn't seem so tight, while Jason and Joey were. Reed and Jason hated each other. Luke and Reed were good friends. Then add their love interests in the mix and it was all messed up. She watched as he shoved Oscar to move along and then he made his way over. She didn't feel as remorseful as she should for Lyon, for she was still a bit pissed off and she didn't want anyone to read her face. Especially Luke.
"Hey." Anne nodded, smirking as she hugged him back. Luke and Anne had been friends for a while, even having their eyes on each other when they first met. But now, when he had dated one of Anne's best friends, it didn't mix that well. She figured they were going as friends, despite how gorgeous he looked, and she knew he felt the same. It was platonic. "Only if you're ready. Who would've known that Luke Summitt would try and move his hips without grinding against curves?" Anne teased, as she always did with her guy friends. Not exactly on purpose, more of a reflex. She gave him a sly smile, but her smile was fading fast when a scene caught her eye and made a lump in her throat implode.
Kelsey walked into the ballroom, and was walking towards Oscar. Anne caught Kelsey's eye for only a moment before looking some place else, trying to make sure she didn't show any sign of weakness. But oh - she was very weak. How could she let this happen? She then, out of curiosity, watched her again. It was when Kelsey graciously kissed Lyon on the cheek and they hugged that Anne went into overtime. Ah hell no. Anne thought to herself. If this girl wanted some war, well she would bring it. The whole idea was stupid, but in girl world, everything was vicious. They were animals ready to tear each other apart at any given moment. She was good friends with Kelsey, but her regret and angry emotions were slowly taking over.
The dance instructor walked over to the middle of the dance floor, speaking in a sing song voice for everyone to make their way forward. Oh, so awkward for the foursome. Yet, Anne wasn't thinking, and was more on a plan to show who was boss. It was what she was born to do. So, she playfully winked to Luke, took his hand and strode over to the dance floor. The instructor introduced herself for a while, but then explained what to do. Very little contact, and the main thing was to able to keep a quiet and preserved conversation. Yeah, right. After about fifteen minutes of explanation, the instructor let them go, as classical music filtered into the room. Anne forcefully clasped onto Luke's hand, while her right hand went onto his shoulder.
Meanwhile, her eyes were all over Oscar and Kelsey. Yearningly watching their every move.

least expect it______________ "Bee."
Smiling, Brianna responded, "Jay." She was so happy to be here, with all the odds against her. Brianna couldn't believe it. She wasn't that overwhelmed with Jason taking her anymore. It just seemed like it was meant to be - in her mind of course. So, it was time for dance rehearsals and well, the dancing didn't really start yet. There were only a few people at the country club already, but not enough to start...Right? From what Brianna saw at school, it seemed like a lot of students were in Cotillion. They were probably just late. Some guys didn't seem to be the kind that was on time and the girls seemed like they were the kind to be fashionably late. Oh well, she was here. Doing what she wanted to do. And with the perfect date for Cotillion.
"Nice to see you could be here, and on time. And, on a side note.."
Side note? Brianna listened carefully to hear what he had to say. He was such a gentlemen, at least that's what Brianna thought. Then again, she knew about nothing about him. And so far, he didn't act that badly in front of her. Okay, so he did do a little something with her in a not so pleasant place. But Brianna was still clueless. Love made her blind. Could anyone help her? Nope, not so far. Her friends have warned her about him, saying that he was no good. Nikki had told her that she should should have thought twice about Jason, but did Brianna care? Nope. It was her life and she would do what she wanted to do - and suffer the consequences.
"Even though this won't be how we danced in the club, I think we can still have our share of.. fun"
That was all he had to say, and do. Brianna smirked, and she let him lead her to the sign-up sheet. Suddenly, Brianna heard the door open. She turned and saw Oscar Lyon. No big deal, and she never really knew him. Nikki did though. But Brianna just didn't know how she met him. Before Brianna could think anymore about the situation, she heard the doors open again. Once again, she turned, but this wasn't a pleasant surprise. It was Luke Summit. Her smile disappeared at the sight of him. Memories in her mind. The gym. What they did. And then, it was just a fling. Brianna turned back, looking uncomfortable, and forgetting that Jason was right next to her.
Brianna tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. Once sign of nervousness for her. If she felt like this when she was younger, Brianna would have bitten her nails, but she had grown - and her nails look nice. 'How rude...' Brianna thought as she heard, not see but heard, Luke probably pushing someone out of the way. "Could he be any worse?" Brianna said out loud without noticing.
