This was way too cliché for Kelsey’s taste. Rich girl at the Country Club. God, she felt lame. But the 17 year old really had no other choice, her backyard was currently being re-done and there was no way she was going to lay outside and tan with disgusting, sweaty men staring at her. And, oh how they would stare. Her long body was looking especially good today. Her daily work-outs had increased in an effort to undo the damage from all her summer junk-food binges, and they had done what they were supposed to do. Her stomach, usually slightly puffy, was nice and toned, no six-pack or anything, but it was flat, a definite improvement from before. Her arms were nicely defined, not grossly muscular, but fit.
Kelsey made her way around the Country Clubs pool, carefully avoiding the numerous amounts of children that seemed to be there today. ‘There should be an age limit,’ she thought to herself as she found a lounge that was as far away from the pool as she could possibly get. She adjusted her skimpy bright pink bikini top, ensuring it was tied and that everything was in place, she didn’t want to fall asleep and have her goodies falling all over the place.
Laying a towel over the lounge, Kelsey put her large dark Dior sunglasses on and laid down, her long blonde hair gathered into a bunch at the side of her head. As she lay there, soaking in the suns rays she hoped to good that no annoying little kid would bother her or get her wet. She just wants to relax.

Finishing working out, Josh walked out of the locker room at the country club. He needed more muscle, the football season was about to begin. The country club's workout room was pretty nice. He had his membership, he came here awhile to workout. Anyways, he his parents didn't mind the 1,200$ membership.
He walked out to the pool. He felt like lying out for awhile. He saw all the kids outside. It was very crowded today. He just dodged a beach ball about to hit him.
Right now he wore a pair of jean shorts. In his hands were a towel.
He walked over and saw Kelsey sitting in a lounge. "Hey." he said to her.

Kelsey lay there embracing the feeling of her skin darkening. She wanted to improve her tan before the big party this weekend, hoping maybe someone in particular would notice. Her eyes closed, she had just begun to drift to sleep when she heard a voice, and assuming it was talking to her, she opened her eyes. She saw Josh standing there and smile spread across her lips.
“Hey,” she said raising her sunglasses with her freshly manicured hands so that she could see him properly. “What’s up stranger?” she asked squinting in the sunlight, although he was hardly a stranger. Kelsey had known him for awhile, although they never really hung out much outside of school. Lowering the sunglasses back down so her eyes were once again protected from the suns rays. "How've you been?"

He laid his towel down on the lounge next to Kelsey. He sat down on it, still looking at her. He eyes directly facing the sun, he put on his sunglass, which before were on top of his head. He laid down and and turned his body towards Kelsey. He had known her for awhile, they were friends. They never really hung out together out of school.
"Oh, so I am a stranger now," he said to her sarcastically," I am good. I just finished working out. How about you, getting a tan for the party.. oh crap."
Josh saw a beach ball come flying towards them, about to hit Kelsey. He grabbed it before it could reach her. He threw it back in the pool.
"Wow," he said to her," those kids need to watch where they are throwing things. So, how are classes so far. The first day is over, and from what I know, there were no deaths."
He laughed a little after he said that. He wouldn't be suprised if they were. The girls fight over guys, clothes, and fashion. Guys fight over sports, girls, and lots others. This school was full of drama and gossip.
His first day was actully kind of good. His classes were ok, his teachers were nice, well some. His gym class was good. He used his free period to finish homework. After school he threw the football with his brother. So far, school was good for him.

Kelsey let out a small squeal and brought her hands up to cover her face as the ball came towards her. “Fucking hell,” she muttered as Josh caught the ball. “Thanks. Fucking kids, I swear to god,” she said, rolling her eyes before turning her head to talk to him. “My first day was you know…,” she said shrugging her shoulders. “My classes all seem pretty hard; don’t think I’m going to like ‘em.”
She smiled and laughed slightly at his second comment. She was actually surprised that nothing super dramatic had happened, and she was glad that if anything had, she wasn’t part of it. “Give it time,” she said. “Drama always comes.” Kelsey really wanted to stay out of the drama this year, although that probably wouldn’t happen. For some reason it always seemed to follow her.

"Just wait," he said to her," you might like, them. Anyways, there is always party's and after school to like."
Last year, he hated most of his classes. But, by the end of the year, he found he liked some. He even made lots of knew friends.
"Yep," he said," Drama will definitely come. Especially at the "Back to School" party at the beach. Those party's always bring drama. Are you going?"
He knew the drama thing was true. Some things happen there, that people regret. Some things, though, happen for a reason that are good. Drama was going to be happening at the party. It was a fact.

She smiled. “Yah, I guess I should give ‘em time, but school’s never really been my thing,” Kelsey said, shrugging her shoulders. “Oh yes, of course I’m going,” she said with a little laugh. “What’s a back to school party without me?” she asked jokingly. Kelse was never one to miss a party, especially one she knew everyone would be going to. She didn’t really want anything drastic to happen though, I mean, it’s still early in the school year and Kelsey doesn’t have the patience to put up with stupid shit.
“Are you going?” she asked, curious if he was and if with anyone. She didn’t necessarily care about him in the sense that she would be jealous if he was going with someone, she was just curious. Gossip was something else Kelsey enjoyed and she always liked to be on top of it.

Ashley smiled at the two people talking. She walked over to them. "Im Sorry if I am interupting but I dont think I have met either one of you!" Ashley smiled. She tugged her shirt down a little bit and began to tie her hair back.
"My name is Ashley Adams" She said with a smirk. She liked her name and was pretty proud of it. "But I have so many nicknames so you are welcome to add more" she said with a slight giggle.
Ashley wasnt really used to Country clubs and most times she snuck in. She really never had the money to join them. Yes there were times where she was caught but she grew to know the workers and they were nice enough to buy her membership for her.

Kelsey looked up at the girl who appeared to be talking to them. “Uh…. hi,” she kind of muttered awkwardly. Kelsey didn’t know who this random girl was but she knew she’d never seen her around here. She didn’t know how to take this girl just coming up to her like she did. Should she be nice and sweet or mean and bitchy? Would this girl prove to be someone she liked or hated? Kelsey had no idea and all this decision making was making her dizzy.
She pulled up her sunglasses, revealing her eyes. “I’m Kelsey,” she said simply. Putting her sunglasses back down and tying her hair back into a low ponytail. “And I don’t think I’ve seen you around here before. Are you new?” Kelsey really had no idea if this girl, Ashley, was new or had lived in the same town as here her whole life and really, she could care less.

Ashley smiled "I'm not that new..." Ashley declared "I have lived here for about 5 years, I am really surprised that I have never met you" she chuckled
Ashley sighed "You really don't care do you?" Ashley asked. She was about to walk away but stopped herself. "If you don't then just tell me now" she put on her sun glasses and rolled her eyes.

“Yah, I’m really surprised too,” Kelsey said with some sarcasm in her voice and a little more quietly then normal. She leaned back against the chair. Kelsey was in a bit of a mood today, one of those moods that often tainted people’s opinion about her. She was a sweet girl, really, but sometimes she just didn’t give a damn.
She sat there, expecting the girl to leave as it was a little obvious that Kelsey wasn’t up for socializing with new people. Too much effort was required. But, she was slightly taken aback when Ashley asked her whether she really cared or not. Not too many people did that, I mean, it was kind-of rude, but Kelsey’s opinion of her completely changed, for the better. Before, she could care less who this girl was or what she wanted. Now she almost wanted get to know her.
Kelsey smiled. “Is it that obvious?” she replied curious if it really was. “’Cause I don’t really, unless you think I should.” She said raising an eyebrow although it was barely visible behind her sunglasses.

Ashley smiled and sat down across from the girl. "Its pretty obvious" Ashley admitted "But I like that in a person, it shows that your not fake" Ashley grinned
"Why wouldnt you want to know me" Ashley said with sarcasim "I am only like the coolest person EVER" Ashley laughed "Well not really, but I am close enough" She fake whinned.

Kelsey smiled slightly. Well the fact that Ashley didn’t think she was fake was a bonus. Usually it took more then one comment for that opinion to be shaken from people’s thoughts. She decided then to stop trying to be a bitch and accept her. ‘Congratulations,’ she thought. ‘You on my good list’, of course this never really meant much, at least not to Kelsey. The so-called ‘good list’ had numerous names on it, but each one could be easily erased with one comment, one fight, one moment that might have hurt Kelsey in some way or another.
Looking back at Ashley, she laughed slightly. “Well, I guess close enough is going to have to be good enough for me. Although I’m pretty damn near perfect myself.” She smiled the false sense of confidence escaping. It wasn’t necessarily what she thought of herself, but she was much better off then a lot of people, and knew it. “So what grade are you in?” Kelsey asked, curious if she was younger and if so how much. There was no way Kelsey would get caught talking to some freshman.

Ashley smiled' the good list' she thought to herself. SHe then snapped back to reality. "I am a Junior" she said with confidence. "Now tell me, what grade are you in, because if you are a freshmen then..." Ashley said not knowing how to finish. "Then this would be very weird" she said with a smile.
She scanned the people around them, all of them were dressed in preppy clothing, and all full with confidence. It made her laugh on the inside.

“A freshman? Oh god, sweetheart, no,” Kelsey said, sitting up, a little taken aback. She knew she didn’t look like a freshman, hell when she was a freshman, she didn’t even look like one. The whole higher grades hating younger grades stereotype was true in Kelsey’s mind. The last thing she wanted to do was talk to or party with some little grade nine. “I’m a senior,” she replied. She was so happy it was her last year, school was never something Kelsey enjoyed and couldn’t wait to leave high school for that reason, although she was sure she’d miss the high school atmosphere once it was over.
ooc; writer’s block =(
