His shoes squeaked against the basketball courts, a large smile was on his face as he stopped bouncing the bright orange ball. "Kaiser judges the distance, he crouches down, he jumps he shoots," Kaiser said, as he jumped up into the air, and throwing the ball to wards the hoop.
For a few seconds, the ball rolled around, and around the hope, it almost went in, then turned to wards the wrong side, falling down not threw the net, but on the other side. Dismally, he finished his narration, "and he misses." Slowly, he walked towards the hoop, and grabbed the basketball. "You are supposed to go in the net, not around it," he complained to the yellow orb.
"Nevermind," He stated as he set the ball on the ground and then sat on it looking around the area. "This place is boring... Why did we come here again?" he asked as he combed back his blonde hair. A tone of tiredness crept into his voice, clearly, he had, had another bad night last night. Sighing, he stood up, and dusted off his clean off white khakis, and his light blue shirt staring longingly up at the hoop.
Slowly, he drew up to his full height of 5'7ish, he slapped the ball, giving it a slight bounce, and then began to dribble it till it reached his hip with it's bounces. He grabbed the ball in midair and rested it against his hip, "I'll dunk a ball into you one day," he said as he turned around so he faced the other hoop, "and you to. I swear." Granted, there's not alot you can do about being short, is there?

Rylee hummed to her music as she neared the basketball courts, her long dark hair pulled back into a tight, high ponytail. Pieces fell out across her eyes, but she simply brushed them back. This was a new Rylee, not staring at her feet as she walked, smiling to herself, something good must have happened. Actually, nothing had, Rylee had woken up on the right side of the bed this morning and her cheerfulness had simply stayed. Her dark blue tank top and black shorts were casual and easy to move in, perfect for some hoops.
Picking a ball from the rack at the corner of the gym she entered from, Rylee did her regular warm-ups. Ten wall shots, some stretching, nothing big because this was only for fun. Rylee didn't think she was all that talented at basketball, she was too short at 5'4", though she was supposed to still be growing. The earphones she wore blocked out all other sound, the white wires attached to an iPod in a wrap around her upper left arm. She noticed a few people around, but today, she wasn't bothered by other people being there.

Kaiser looked around, he stared at a few people who had I-pods or MP3 players. Maybe he wanted one, actually, that's the understatement, he really really wanted one. Hopefully his step dad would get him one for his birthday next year, but knowing his 'father' he would probably rant on how they're evil.
After a few seconds of staring and listening to the few phrases that he could catch from songs, and covering his mouth with his arm to stifle a few coughs, he began to run. As he ran he dribbled the ball, hoping to keep control of it as he pushed himself towards the other end of the court. 'Come on,' he thought, urging himself one, 'gotta go faster,' he cried out mentally.

Rylee watched as one kid shot down the court, was he new like her? Rylee didn't think she'd ever seen him before, but, she barely got out much. Watching him, Rylee tucked the orange ball up under one arm, moving out of the way as he came down the court. He was good, better then Rylee, but was that saying anything? An untrained monkey was better then Rylee at basketball.
This thought made Rylee laugh, sports weren't her strong asset, but they had been her life at one point. She'd used to brag she could shoot a three with her eyes closed, and she'd done it once, but it had been a total fluke. Rylee's dark eyes followed the boy still. He was cute, nice hair, athletic. Rylee pulled one earphone out, letting "Lips of an Angel" by Hinder spill out. Ry's taste in music differed greatly based upon her iPod library.

He jumped, tossing the ball up into the air, and at a slight angle, after all he was just about below the backboard. The orange ball bounced off and went into a jacket. Kaiser smiled as he picked up the ball, "Ha! Not a dunk, but close enough."
He brushed his arm over his forehead in an attempt to remove the sweat, then looked at a girl who was looking at him. To be honest, he wasn't the best at basketball, he liked more flexible sports himself, but he didn't mine just running back and forth. After all, it gave him some way to vent out his anger.
First goal accomplished for today, he thought, now.. For the harder one... To find a-. His thoughts were cut off as soon as he noticed a young lady looking at him, maybe he didn't like having people stare at him when he was dressed in sweats, or maybe he just didn't like being the main focus in a stranger's eyes. But, all friends start out as strangers, don't they?
He looked down at the ball, and chewed on the inside of the lip, occationally he would rotate the ball in his hands, and then he began walking towards the person, still holding the ball in his hands. Really, he didn't know what he was doing, but hey curiosity killed the cat, or maybe not in this case.

Rylee smiled as the ball went threw the hoop. So much better then anything she could have done. Turning to look away, she noticed him staring back at her. Rylee usually wasn't bold, and it showed as she blushed a nice shade of crimson. 'Maybe he'll just turn away.' she thought, but as he stepped toward her, Rylee knew it wasn't likely.
Deciding that turning and walking away now would be rude, Ry met him half way. Meaning, she took a few steps and kind of stopped, her eyes downcast, her blush still remaining. This was as close to half way as Rylee got with anyone she didn't know all that well. "Hi, I was just watching you play basketball. I'm Rylee." she said, her voice soft as normal.

He stopped infront of Rylee, he mentally sighed for a few seconds he thought that she was going to walk right passed him. After all, he really wasn't sure she was actually watching him, or just so happened to glance his way when he saw her looking at him. Until she actually stated that she was, which took Kaiser as a surprise.
A rather confused look crossed Kaiser's face as he thought, Wha? I suck at playing basketball! After a few seoncs, he spoke his thoughts allowed to Rylee. "You know, I kind of suck at playing basketball," Kaiser said, scratching the back of his head.
"But, thanks for watching?" he said, not really sure how to respond. After he said that, he shook his head, and smiled. He extended his hand out to Rylee, "Kaiser, nice to meet you."

Rylee felt her grin falter. 'Nice one Rylee,' her inner voice snapped, it could be quite mean at times. "Oh, well, I'm really super bad at basketball so anyone is good to me." she said, a blush heating her face. Of course this had to be the day she'd come to the gym. It just had to be the day she'd decided to make friends!
"Nice to meet you too." Rylee said, her face lessening a bit in its dramatic redness. Maybe she hadn't been a complete loser about it. Then again, the day was young.

"The only super bad people are babies, because they can't stand up, and the ball is practically as big as them," Kaiser said shaking his head. "Besides, you try, that's all that counts, doesn't it? After all, a person who might have sheer talent in basketball, can't do very good if he or she never tries," Then, Kaiser muttered to himself, "I kind of sound like a counselor."
He quickly shrugged off the comment he had just made about himself and smiled, "So, if you aren't at Valkyrie for the sports, what are you here for?" he asked politely. After all, people came in all shapes and sizes-- wait, they're all pretty and skinny, nevermind that last comment. All people in Valkyrie who came were always talents, and usually some of the best teenagers in their fields.

Nikki walked into the basketball courts. Her hair was tied back. She wore some jeans with a a sky blue shirt. A denim jacket covered up most of the shirt.
She noticed Rylee and Kaiser. Nikki didn't really know them well, though. Nikki just walked to the half of the court they didn't seem to be using. She shot from the three pointer line. Consentrating, she threw it, and the ball made it in! Nikki made it look so easy, but it was harder than it looked.
She saw Rylee with the iPod too. but, Why would you use an iPod when you were running around. Nikki just ignored the people. They probably were in a conversation and she didn't want to inturrupt.

Rylee shrugged as he said only babies couldn't play basketball. Yeah, them and Rylee Mariss. Sure, everyone said it was easy but. Rylee had just never gotten the hang of it. Dribbling, shooting, the lines, fouls. How many rules had she broken playing one game? At least a dozen if you counted her tackling that one girl after she elbowed Rylee's stomach. Still, Rylee loved to try and play the game.
"Oh, I'm here for acting and writing." Rylee answered quickly. Lie. Yes she'd heard there was an excellent acting program and Rylee loved acting, but that wasn't the real reason. Rylee loved singing, but choir wasn't really her thing. So, what's a girl with a passion for singing to do when she can't sing? Join drama for musicals and write your own songs in creative writing.

"Sweet, I'm here for my super rad athletic abilities, in everything... Except Basketball, baseball, and softball," Kaiser said with a smile, "but, I can beat anyone in Wushu, granted, does anyone know what Wushu is in this school? Seriously! I was talking to one kid about it and he thought it was a chess game."
Then he scratched his cheek, remembering the event, "Granted... He was a frosh, and froshies don't know anything really... They're easily confused, and they always seem to be fasinated with who some one likes and what not. Plus, they act like they rule the school usually... Which gets annoying..." Then he shook his head realizing he was rambling. "Sorry about the weird 'I'll talk to myself and everyone else' thing. I do that sometimes."
