Josh walked over to the food court at the mall. He wore an old football jersey and jean shorts. This was a normal outfit for him.
He was at the mall today to find something for Friday. He needed to wear something nicer then a football jersey, or at least he wanted, too. He came here alone, today. He texted a lot of his friends, though, asking if they wanted to come. He was supposed to meet some in the food court right now.
He hadn't found anything so far. He had only went in one store, though. The first day of school was over, and the second was starting. He was excited for the football season to start soon.
(( Anyone can join. You can just be there, or he could have texted you. ))

Antony Bastian walked backwards, like always juggling way too many things. In one hand, he was text messaging his ex, letting her know school started up and he was already swamped with work. In the other hand, he had a bag with a bagel, a plastic knife, and a small packet of cream cheese. To top it off, he was holding a good seven bags from various stores.
He was going to fix up his cousin's place in the Valks, and he got some new clothes while he was there. Stepping awkwardly, he slipped on a freshly mopped portion of the floor, dropping his phone.
"Damnit!" He exclaimed, heads turning in his direction to see what had happened.

Kelsey walked through the mall, occasionally stopping and going into a store. She just been there last week though and the stores hadn’t updated anything since then, so she was just wasting time. She stopped to look in the jewelry store window, admiring the display, contemplating going in to buy something. Something expensive she thought, just to piss her dad off. She strolled casually into the expensive shop, carelessly gazing at the assortment of gorgeous diamonds. As the older sales lady began to approach her, Kelsey decided it wasn’t worth her time and with a smile she turned on her Jimmy Choo heels and excited the store.
She continued her stroll through the mall, sighing out of boredom. Maybe I’ll just go, she thought as she hadn’t seen anyone there that might be worth talking to and her patience seemed to wearing thin as the boredom grew. Adjusting the strap on her black leather messenger bag, she stopped once again to admire a window display, thinking about how that green halter dress would look on her.
Hearing Antony's yell, she turned around and couldn't help but laugh a little. She started to walk towards him. "Hey you," she said. "How's the floor?"

Josh heard someone yell pretty loudly. He recognized the voice was Antony Basian. Yep, he could recognize his voice. They were friends for awhile. They had a rough patch, but they were still goof friends now.
Josh ran over and saw Antony on the ground and Kelsey near him. "Wow, nice fall," Josh said to him, laughing." Didn't you see the wet floor sign, and whats with the bagels?"
He turned around and saw Kelsey," Hey Kelsey," he said to her.

"Upon inspection, I've come to the conclusion that I need to watch where I'm going," Antony began, picking his things up, "Hey kids. How're you?" He smiled, then pulled the bagel out of it's bag, "The bagel is for eating, of course! I skipped breakfast, and figured I should grab a bite." He laughed, brushing his shirt off.
He had a tendency to hurt himself while trying to multi-task. He called it his gift. Some gift being able to fall on your ass is.

Nikki walked into the mall's food court. She was wearing a denim jacket, jeans, and just a sports shirt. Pretty normal for a sporty girl, right? She didn't wear any make-up except some lip-gloss. No big deal. She didn't look like one of those other girls at all.
Nikki looked around. She spotted some of her classmates. She walked over there. There was Josh, Anytony, and....Kelsey. Kelsey never seemed to like Nikki, but she never knew why. All Nikki wanted to do was talk to Josh. She never saw him around and wanted to meet a new athletic friend.
"Hey guys," Nikki said. She seemed like one of the guys except for the way she looked.

Kelsey stepped back as Antony began to pick his things up, almost bumping into Josh. “Oh hey Josh,” she said stepping over to the side so she wasn’t in anyone’s way. “I guess its party at the mall, eh?” she said adjusting the assortment of bags in her arms. “And bagels are most definitely a good choice,” she said pointing to the bag of bagels. “Very filling.”
She heard the voice of a female and turned around to see Nikki. Kelsey gave her the once-over and remembered who she was. She was that sporty girl, but what was her name again? Kelsey couldn’t remember and really she didn’t care. “Hi,” she said simply, hoping she didn’t come off as too rude and then again not really caring what the girl thought of her. She smiled though, slightly in her direction. ‘Cause that’s what Kelsey did, no matter who was the recipient.

Antony smiled, "Yeah, bagels are good." He said simply, unable to articulate a real sentence.
Falling on your ass in front of a crowd is never good for self-confidence.
"What're you all doing here?" He began, "Getting stuff for the bonfire?" He asked, assuming the obvious. It was why he had come; to get some new clothes to wear to the bonfire. He wasn't big on buying new clothes he would only wear once, but he always made an exception for beginning-of-the-year events. If it were the second bonfire of the year, he'd be wearing the same cargos and over-sized hoodie he always wears to bonfires, but the first one of the year called for something special.
It called for a new outfit, and a new memory-stick for his camera.

"Yeah, you really need to watch out," he said to Antony," I am here for the same thing, getting things for the bonfire. I was just about to grab a bite to eat. Now I am even more hungry. Yummm, bagels."
He turned and looked at Kelsey. " Yeah," he said to her," It is a party. I didn't realize so many of us would be here at the same time.
He turned back and saw Nikki. "Hey Nikki," he said to her," What's up." He didn't know her well. He knew she played lots of sports, though. He saw her on the field a lot.
He pulled out his cell, he had got a text. It was from his brother. It said: Hey, will u be home for dinner, mom wants to kno. He replied: No, probably not.

Antony took a careful bite of his bagel, chewing slowly. He felt very odd suddenly. He knew these people, yes, but he had never had too many conversations with them lately.
"So. We should, maybe, get a table and all sit. Instead of standing, here, by the wet floor. Knowing me, I'll slip and fall again." He said, not adding the words 'I don't think my ass feels up to it.'
Yes, Antony is another name for a klutz. Deal with it.

"So, what are you guys at athe mall for?" Nikki asked. She tried to bring up a topic without making it random. Nikki was surprised that Kelsey didn't seem rude to her. Afterall, Kelsey never really talked to her. Maybe they could be friends? Probably not.
"You must really like football," Nikki said to Josh. He was wearing a jersey. What else would she think? It wasn't awkward to have friends as boys. She was used to it. Nikki usually had some female friends, but mostly guys.

Rylee laughed to herself as she watched the whole scene happen. She knew Antony, he was the guy who lived next to her when she stayed in the Valks. Everyone else, she had no clue. Rylee had a plate of orange chicken in front of her, a few reminders of rice dabbled across her plate as well. Panda Express, yum!
She was here to look for some more shirts and a new pair of jeans. However, Rylee was sidetracked by the jewelry and had a new pair of earrings to show for it. The silver dangled with green beads hanging at the ends, glittering in the light of the mall. The air conditioning felt so good after being outside in the heat.
