After recieving her black coffee. She wasn't very high-maintanence, plain coffe was ok. No, icey mocha chocolate vanilla what the fuck-achino, for her today. She sat in one of the high tables and stolls with a notepad and pencil, her vintage sunglasses swept on top of her head like a headband.
Her attire wasn't quite ritzy as she often wore. She had on washed out jeans and a gray Valkyrie Academy sweatshirt on. In bold maroon letters was the word: Valkyrie on it.
She was waiting. Waiting for a friend. A certain soon-to-be birthday girl. Bridget Ainsworth, one of her best friends, was celebrating her 17th birthday party this weekend. And being one of her friends she needed it to be Diddy's bash but ten-thousand times better. We're talking all-out. Though this wasn't quite that invitation only. Everyone in Valkyrie was invited and Bridget's house could hold everyone at the academy in her house.
Well, you could say her and Bridget were meeting to discuss what was all happening. What they needed. All the shit like that. Daphne looked at the clock near the door. She was a tad early to the meeting but, it was ok. Her morning was a little slow today.

Bridget drove into the Starbucks parking lot. She found a spot and parked. She opened the door of her blue mustang convertible and out out. This was her current car, but she was getting a new car. She just didn't know which. It was her present from her parents. She walked in Starbucks. She wore a black cami with sequins on it. It was new and already one of her favorite shirts. She wore a pair of jean on the bottom. (To see what she looked like go here:img.photobucket.com/albums/v343/Vados/Celebrities/Alexis%20Bledel/alexisbledel_planethollywood025.jpg) Her hair was curled as normal.
She walked in and ordered a French vanilla cappuccino. Her favorite drink. She paid the man working there. In a minute they handed it to her.
She found Daphne and walked over to her and sat down. They were here to talk about her party. They were planning to make it the best party ever. One that everyone would remember.
"Hey," she said to her," Sorry I am a minute later. I got stuck in traffic. Are you ready to start planning?"

Daphne noticed Bridget walk in and order a drink first. No more than five minutes later, she was sitting across from Daphne. "Hey, hon," she said and shifted in her seat. "Party. Oh yes. Best bash of the year. Should we have a theme? Or, it that two eighth grade?"
Sometimes a theme was good, it gave the party-ers something to look forward to. Sometimes though it was "what were they thinking" kind fo moments. Daphne opened to notepad. She liked to be organized. She would need to right down everything that they needed on their. Daphne was slightly OCD when it came to stuff like this.
"You know. Normally, it would be you, me, and Anne planning stuff like this. It blows that she is off at some wedding." They would would Anne. Anne was their other best friends. She was just as much as a partier than the rest of them. You could say they would have many stories to tell their grandchildren one day.

"Best bash of the year is right!," she said to her," A theme? What kind of theme? It could be like a Hawaiian theme and we could wear coconut bras and hula skirts. Or is that to young?"
A theme would be nice. It would make it so they could know what to wear and decorate. It also made it organized. On the other hand, though, a lot of cool party's were just no themed and they were awesome. She didn't know.
At Daphne's second comment she was kind of sad. "I know," she told her," It is not the same without Anne. To have one of your best friends miss a party for a wedding suck! I wish she could just miss it."
She was sad that Anne couldn't make it. She always made party's a ton of fun. She was a great partier! She wished all her friends would be there.

Daphne pondered for a moment on the Hawaiian theme. That might work. She wasn't expecting all the guys to show up in those things they call Hawaiian prints.
"You know, that might just work. We could have Hawaiian drinks in tiki cups and tiki lights outside. Like a cook-out!" she was getting a head of herself there. But, she was liking this theme. "I like the whole coconut bras and skirts. That would be great for the girls to wear. It will give the guys something to think about."
She laughed and scribbled some things down in her notebook with her purple pen.

"Ohhhh," she said smiling," I like that! I could get a tiki hut for the bar. Like you said, all the drinks can be served in tiki cups. We could even use those little umbrella things. The coconut bras and skirts is a must."
The cost didn't matter. Her parent's wouldn't mind. Hell, her parents weren't even going to be there. They were going away with her sister. Bridget got out of it. They were leaving in the mourning, which gave them all day to set up.
"Anything else?" Bridget said," I can just call Inez to get everything. He can get it and get it to us right after my parents leave. All I have to do is call him. He is an old friend who works at a store that almost sells everything!"

"Hmmm..." Daphne thought as she rapped the end of her pen against her pad. Just some supplies. Everything Hawaiian. We should even have some awesome contests. Like...umm. I can't think of at the moment, but give me some shots, and I'll think of some." She laughed, heartily, scribbling once more in her notebook.
She looked up and saw a boy, rather cute nontheless. She smiled at him and blushed a little. She out her head once again back in her notebook and scribbled notes down again, smiling. "So, B, any good-looking guys you've had your eye on so far this year?" she looked up and smiled, "Cause it is your birthday and you can get whatever you want to."

"Ok, I will call Inez, soon." she told her," I will also hold you on that contest thing." She laughed a little. So far so good. She wanted this party to be the best. The one everyone would always talk about.
When Daphne said the thing about the guys, some thoughts came up in Bridget's head. She did have her eyes on some guys. Well, not some guys. She was caught between two.
"Well," she said smiling," there is someone. Well, you could say two. Have you seen the new student teacher, Mark Alter? He is like so cute. There is also Logan McDair. But, he is like a really good friend of mine. I think he is cute, but I don't want to ruin our friendship."
She thought about both of them. They were both cute. She didn't know what to do.
"So, Daph," she said," What about you? Do you have your eye on anyone. I could totally set you up with him."

Daphne eye's popped out of her head, "Mark Alter? Isn't that like... illegal?" she leaned back in her chair and thought, "Know that I think of him, I think someone told me that Jessica Holland shared a couple kisses with him." Daphne shuddered. She really didn't care for Jessica. Or, maybe it was because Anne didn't like her, at all. So, as a friend Daphne naturally felt the same way. And at the bonfire when Jessica totally defended Alex when she bitch slapped her. Daphne breathed. The little fight was very over. Alex and her had made their peace.
At the mention of Bridget liking Logan but didn't want ruin their friendship Daphne set her hand on the table and looked at her friend, "Take my advice: don't let a few kisses get in the way of a friendship. Trust me, I know."
Daphne smiled and leaned back once again, taking her coffee with her and taking a sip. "There are- is a guy." she smiled. But, she really hadn't mentioned it to anyone let alone her self. Ok, so she liked Josh.

Bridget sighed. She didn't really like anyone. She thought guys were cute, but none she could really go out with. Sometimes, she didn't want to risk a friendship.
"You know Jessica is one of my best friends," she said to her," but that doesn't matter. I just said he was cute.
She knew Daphne and Jessica weren't the the best of friends. She also knew Anne and Jessica weren't the best of friends. Yet, Bridget was best friends with all three. It was kind of hard. Having a friend your other friends hate stunk. Yet, she wouldn't trade her friendships for anything.
"Your right," she said to Bridget," I think right now, I just want me and Logan to be friends. You never know what will happen, though"
"So," she said to Daph," tell me about this guy. I can't even get a name?"

Daphne took a quick swipe with her eyes at the coffee house. Everyone was absorbed in their own lives to notice that Daphne was about to drop the name of the guy she liked. She leaned forward and leaned against the table. "Josh."
And she quietly leaned back, taking a drink. "I've never told anyone... well, now you. Promise me you won't tell anyone. I don't want people discussing it over the water cooler. And I know. I've had pretty bad experiences when it comes to guyfriends turned boyfriends," she was babbling on and on unable to stop, "and we kissed at the beach, before the bonfire. But, at it it was impossible to talk. And now, we haven't talked for a couple weeks now and this fucking sucks.
She took a deep breath and flipped some fallen hair back behind her shoulder. Taking another drink and looking at Bridget, waiting for her opinion on her love troubles.

Bridget smiled when told her about what happened with Josh and her. She liked when people told her things about there life. She also liked that she was the first one to hear. She wouldn't tell anyone, though. She is a good friend in that way.
"I promise, I won't tell anyone," she said, "I know what it is like for something you want to be a secret go all over the school. Hell, most people know what it is like."
It was now time for Bridget to give advice. She turned to her and told her,"Well, you guys kissed and you like him. You guys really need to talk. If you really like him, go for it. If you like him as much as it seems, everything will work out. If you'd rather just be friends, be friends. Now, you just have to choose which one you want.
When she finished she smiled. She was happy with her advice. She picked up her drink and took a sip.

Daphne listened as Bridget gave her advice. She always did listen when Bridget gave her advice. She was good at guiding their friends. It always became useful sooner or later, and in this case Daphne hoped sooner. "Well, I'm bound to run into him at the party I suppose. Thanks." she said, meaning it.
"So," she said taking another drink, "what do you want for your birthday anyway? You know I have to get you a gift. I'm not a partier that comes for the boys and the beer." Daphne stopped and laughed. She usually did go to parties for just that. "But, I'm not coming without a present."

She smiled. She was happy when people liked her advice. She tried her best to make her friends happy. She wanted to help them. She tried to be a good friend all the some. She knew she couldn't always be perfect. She had her flaws, too.
"Well, I wish the best of luck for you two." she told her, she meant it.
She thought about what she wanted. She actually didn't know. She couldn't really think of anything at the moment.
"You know you don't have to get me anything!" she told her," If you really want to get me anything I could use a new purse. Or maybe clothes. You know you really don't need to get me anything."

"You can not, not have presents. What's a birthday party without presents?" Daphne asked and scribbled clothes, purse, among other things in her notebook before looking up again. "I think this party will be the best! You know, it's great that this party is following the bonfire. It will advert their stories from that party and start talking about his one? God, this town is like a...." she snapped her fingers, "what is the word I'm looking for? Damn, I can't think of the word."
"Well, anyway," Daphne continued frogetting what she had said, "I-"
But she was cut off. He cellphone beeped. It was a text. She dug in her jean pocket for it and found it. She flipped it open.
Daph, Have you heard who all is coming to this party? More than expected. It's going to be crazy.
Daphne flipped it shut, murmurring a 'holy shit'. "B, I got a text. More than we expected are coming. Hide the good vases. We are going to party-proof before it starts. You know how people get. Plus, double duty on the clean-up shift."
