Event Ten: The Masquerade Ball

...to the Giovanni Mansion for a night of fun. We are bringing in the New Years, Valkyrie-style. Because, no one does it better than the kids here.

OK, so, our first big event since Cotillion, we are having a masquerade ball, something I personally have been wanting for awhile here. What's better to finally ringing in Valkyrie's new year than to have a ball? We are finally hitting 2007. Lot's of stuff happened in four months, hasn't it? We have to celebrate a little.

This is also a big event in which will be going on during Valkyrie, the site's, first anniversary. One year, wow. That's all I can say there. October 26, baby, <3.

So, back to the masquerade. Knowing that we aren't exactly the fastest replies as we were at the very first event, the bonfire, so this is definitely not going to be a weekend deal. This will last a couple weeks, and when it ends, so does 2006.

So, the deal for this is we are starting the ball November 1 and will end on November 15. That's a weekish for plot planning on this event, and then then two week for the actualy roleplaying part. The date it starts might change, it depends how everything is going to be with everyone's schedule.

This is at my character's, Paolo Giovanni mansion. It's obviously a black-tie event and you have to have a mask to even get in the doors. You can go with dates if you want or go stag. But let's make the year 2006 a night we won't forget. Let's get some awesome drama going on in here. =]

What You Want To Happen: Alessia and Zack both go stag and end up meeting up there, only thing is, they don't know who the other is. They spend the night together, dancing, laughing and really connecting. They tell eachother things that they wouldn't have if they had known the masks were coming off at New years. So when the clock strikes twelve and the masks have to cme off Zack does so, but Alessia gets scared because of how she opened up and runs off without revealing who she was.

What You Want To Happen: Laura goes to the masquerade to have some fun. Ben's there but she's still avoiding him slightly even though Emilia's out of recovery and Laura has nw left her father's home. Laura and Talan of course have been becoming friendlier and at the ball they have a dance or two together and they are just having fun, so the problem? Laura looks really happy dancing with Talan and Ben sees them and of course Luke, who doesn't like Ben at all, sees Ben and decides to go over and rub it in a bit. Doing so Ben starts to get jealous and then finds out that Laura is actually staying with the Summitts and that Laura has been a good friend of Luke's for years(which of course Laura has convieniantly left out of all previous conversation). Ben then goes and confronts Laura about the whole thing and they have an arguement/heated discussion about the whole thing.

What You Want To Happen: Well Faden and Emilia had a rather large fight. Basically Faden had done some modeling work for the money and he was a bit embarassed by it so he didn't tell anyone but Laura. Amanda Summitt finds the rather attractive, sexy pictures of Faden in nothing but briefs and goes to Emilia making it seem the Faden took the pics for Amanda and that he was cheating on Emilia. Upset Emilia sees Luke who is buying her drinks and talking to her and is going to attempt to score with her. He kisses her and she lets him only long enough to have Faden see her and run off before she pushes him away. She goes after him and tries to explain but she's tipsy/drunk and he's angry and doesn't really want to speaks to her. And at the ball they work it out and make up.

What You Want To Happen: Oscar asks Anne to the Masquerade Ball, and Anne happily says yes, but reminds him constantly that they wouldn't be let in without a mask. Not only is she saying this so she can actually attend, but so no one would know that it is Oscar, considering when his face is hidden, he could be any mystery brown haired guy. So, they have fun at the dance, but when someone asks them whom she is with, she says she's with 'Mr. Princeton' before Oscar almost stumbled out his name. Oscar gets pissed off, realizing now that Anne seemed almost embarrassed to be going with him, and that their somewhat relationship seemed fake. So, Oscar cuts the music and stands on top of a bar, causing quite a crowd, everyone wondering whom the masked person was. He then takes off the mask and proclaims his love for Anne, saying she'd better accept him now in public or lose him permanently. She is taken a back, but can't force herself to lose him, no matter how much her insides knew how much her reputation was being ripped to shreds at the moment. Then, they become officially a public couple in front of the student body as the countdown begins and they kiss each other, a new year, a new love in their life.

What You Want To Happen: Back in Florida, when she started her rehabilitation for eating and such, she was suggested to have a pen pal. Snail mail, yes, but it was a way to connect. The rules? No telling the location, names [they use code names], or any kind of personal information. So, Adeline was set up with Talan. They talked for a long, long time. All the way through to current time, where she is still writing to him. However, she suddenly meets Talan without even knowing that he is her pen pal at school. They instantly have a little feud going on, not liking each other ever since they both failed each other on their project for school that they got paired up for. In their letters, they explain how annoying one is, relating to each other more. But, soon they plan to meet at the Masquerade Ball, forgetting the rules which would be helpful. For as they see each other at the ball, having planned to meet somewhere specific, they are completely shocked.

A little drunk, she kind of puts out and during the night, Dean's suspicions of the mystery girl being Daphne are true and she feels embarressed that he knows it was her.

So, during the ball, Riley goes off and tries to find Liz, which takes him the entire night, and before midnight he finds her and takes her away and confronts her about it all and they get into an agrument which just ends with Riley kissing her at midnight.

They have their masks off at this point when some guy approaches them and starts telling Paolo something about his father and how he didn't end up his half of the 'deal' Paolo is being protective of Sam, but the guy sees her and him and knows they are together. He leaves after Paolo tells him to leave. Sam asks what that was about, but Paolo makes an excuse up and they enjoy the rest of their night.

After only talking for a few minutes James comes out of nowhere telling Reed to back off, and then Reed and James start fighting and get into a physical fight and end up getting kicked out of the ball altogether.

Well as things start getting awkward, and not knowing what to say, one of us will produce a flask of hard liquor from 'the clutch' and the two of them start talking and bickering and just swapping nasty comments before bonding over how odly similar their lives are. But this is just for the night, seeing as they both got drunk from the liquor, in the morning, they wont remember a thing and everything will be back to the guilty feelings and the fight for Bella's place back.

"LIFE'S WHAT YOU MAKE IT"

Character Name: Elaine Harrison

What You Want To Happen: Well, let's see what kind of drama Elaine will start up this time around with the New Year. Elaine, is of course, going to show up looking absolutely stunning after many mall trips to find the perfect gown, shoes, and mask, of course. Elaine is one to suprise people, and because of that, she'll start some drama with her FRIEND. From when she enters, there'll be this huge scene, during which she'll start a fight with her FRIEND over something. Let's just say that it ends up making things worse with the relationship that was harsh to begin with because of some drastic differences.

Things just go from bad to worse, in which she breaks it off completly with that friend, and ends up going off to find Lynn Barker, a girl she met on the first shopping trip to the mall. Her and Lynn fight about Elaine's need for drama, and Ashton is there to be her shoulder to cry on. And later on, things get out of hand, in which FRIEND tries to make up with her and find out the real reason Elaine was mad with her, but finds out that the reason is because Lynn, who the FRIEND had dissed, was a new friend. FRIEND isn't the best of friends with Lynn, and this makes FRIEND mad. An agrument between all three about how Elaine betrayed both of them ends up breaking Elaine down into tears.

And making Lynn and Elaine better friends, while destroying her relationship with FRIEND for Elaine making friends with Lynn. FRIEND's relationship is enhanced with FRIEND'S DATE after the big drifting apart from Elaine completly. FRIEND'S DATE is, of course, on the FRIEND's side of this, and FRIEND'S DATE used to be good friends with Elaine. Elaine ends up hating him by the night is over because of this. She doesn't like to be wrong as he soon finds out.

Elaine's going to ring in the New Year like no one has ever done before with drama, ending old relationships and starting new ones. Through the ending of the Old Year's tears, and the start of the fresh New Year's tears, will Elaine finally see what she should have from the beginning? Elaine will most likely miss the meaning of the life lesson, in which she was to learn not to take things for granted. But will she ever learn that?

Recently she’s developed a little crush on him and is feeling bad about herself because of her lack of life and how she’s never had a boyfriend and gets really excited that Andrew likes her enough to want to go with her. At first they’re having a great time, Madison’s really happy and really likes Andrew. Then, he starts talking about Chloe and how’s she’s dating Talan, eventually and explains to Madison that he has a crush on Chloe. Madison will slowly but surely realize that he doesn’t like her like she thought he did, and it’ll crush her. After a little while, she’ll get upset and either tell him what she thought the night was about, or get visibly upset making it obvious and then things will be all awkward between them.

After the cotillion and she told him she happened to be crushing on Parker, one of his good friends, he starts to avoid her, just not wanting to deal with it. As he avoids her she starts to realize how much she likes him back. At the ball she doesn't really see him until he finds her. By then he is drunk and he starts telling her everything and how much he likes her but before she can have a chance to reply or even think he runs out. After a moment's pause she follows him and stopps him from getting run over and she can see how drunk he is so she helps him home to make sure he's okay and at his house he leans in to kiss her but she stops him and tells him that if he still wants to kiss her when he's sober, she'll be around, thinking he is only saying he's into her because he's drunk. The next morning Adrian doesn't remember much about the night before so he doesn't remember Jordin likes him back at all. Leaving them both crushing on eachother.

What You Want To Happen: It's weird how some people are just suddenly friends, isn't it? Anyways, Blake and Julia had a long conversation randomly in the park one day during winter break, and ended up becoming fast and connected friends. They were about to discuss the ball, when Amanda came and blah blah blah. Julia ends up dropping her cell phone on her way from the park with Amanda, and Blake finds it. But, with not way to really contact her, has no idea what to do with it. During the ball, however, they finds each other and he returns it to her. After some awkward conversation - and a lot of all around awkwardness - the two end up sharing a short kiss. What does anyone do in that sort of situation? While Blake sort of stands there, Julia becomes all uncomfortable and shy, then ends up avoiding him for the rest of the ball.
