Ok, so maybe Anna was a little old to be sitting on the swings. But any kids here had long since gone, they're parents shepherding them off as soon as the afternoon came, a chilly breeze blowing through the park.
Anna rather liked this spot though. She sat quietly, swinging backwards and forwards gently, a book clutched in one hand.
She ad painstakingly straightened her hair, leaving it out with a pale pink ribbon tied around, like a headband. The jumper she wore had pale and dark purple stripes, and perfect contrast to her olive skin colour. Her pants were dark brown cargo types, those ones that were a pain to iron, with several hundred pockets and just as many buckles.
Anna continued to swing back and forth, hair blowing in the breeze, the afternoon light weak, but the sky was a stunning colour. Soon people would be coming out on dates, that's why she preferred to stay over here, away from the picnic area. She had been reading, but now she was simply thinking, staring into the cloudy sky.
