so, there seems to be a startling new trend among the world. No, it’s got nothing to do with Obama, nor politics in general. It’s not even about how enviously pathetic the people of the world are. You all secretly know they want to be us, stop lying to yourself. See, v-side has been around for like…two and a half years now ( which is bound to change xD ). Things are shifting in the epic world of roleplaying, and as classic of a forum this is, things are beginning to shift. It’s kind of like the Earth. We’re just not going to die in five years of whatever that stupid calendar predicted 2000-some years ago. And, as writers, we know better than anyone that things do need to change. Have you noticed that those book series that go on for like, ninety years, always seem to change a little bit? Writing style, characters, format…whatever. So, lately, I’ve noticed something similar happening to v-side. A lot of us have had our characters for more than six months, some more than a year or two. And if we don’t love them a whole lot, things shift a little. Honestly, I am getting bored with a few of my characters. Not because I hate them, I love them more than…I dunno, Bon Jovi ( but not ACDC<3 ), but because I just want to move on. Or something.

A lot of us have had them lately. We have a lot of new characters coming in, so some stuff needs to be moved around for everything to fit. Which is actually a big lie, but you get my point. But you guys are my fellow v-siders, so you have all learnt to understand the underlying message in my irritatingly long rants. xD Know what I’m talking about? Yeah, it’s character dilemmas. And lately? I’ve been having a bunch of them. So many that I decided to delete my old board and make a new pretty one. Yeah, I have my future character board, but this one is different. It’s for Asia to be annoying. But you love me anyway. I like organization like this anyways. So…let it be done!

Technically, this isn’t a face change. Like Anna said on her own board, face changes come when a character is actually made. Which, quite obviously, Blair Cortese is not. I’ve been complaining in the c-box lately about my character dilemmas. Do I still have them? Absolutely. It’s all I’ve been thinking about lately, as annoying as that is. So, I’m going to bite the bullet and deal with some of them. Then I can sit down and comfortably do all of these applications instead of being so damn lazy all the time. First on the agenda – Blair. Now, I posted info on her ages ago and I dunno…I love the character, I really do. I find that I have a good amount of muse for her, kind of like my muse for Tristan – it’s just kind of always there. I guess because she’s an easier character for me, weird as that sounds. But, I’m not sure, is she unplottable? Should I skip over her and keep her on as a side character? Apart from a face change, I need some help here, v-side. You guys are officially my family now, and I need input on pretty well everything. Lame as that sounds. xD

FIRST ON THE AGENDA. Blair Cortese – classy, nineteen or twenty, English, daughter of a crime boss kind of guy, helped her relative out of the icky ring of sex slaves and came here to America not long ago, a bit of a vixen, party girl, VU student…all that good stuff. We know enough about her. So, I need help. Like I said, is she plottable? Would she fit into v-side and Valkyrie itself? Would people find her an interesting enough character to plot with? So, the question is:

should I make Blair?

Now that that’s out of the way, we’ll come onto the next bit. Her face. I dunno. I really love Lauren, I do. She’s a classy girl whom I have a bit of a crush on. She also happens to have the English accent and the whole classy, posh girl kind of thing going on, you know? She’s also got about ninety million photos of her pointing a gun at someone, which is a part of the reason I chose her as her face in the first place. It just helps me, and makes me happy. I like having the Supernatural crew. xD Obviously, since I’ve got four of them. Anyway, but then there’s Odette Yustman. Ever since Lainey mentioned her, I’ve been kind of addicted to her. She’s so gorgeous, it’s kind of sick. She’s got the seductive, bitch factor thing going on. Which is good too, ‘cause Blair is a bit like that. But she has no gun photos, which is a bit of a minus on her part. However, the bigger problem? I’m not sure. Making Blair or not, I have an Odette character in mind. So, even if I end up using Lauren or not making her at all, Odette will be a character of mine. I’ll post info on her one day. Long story short – she’s a wounded dog who lashes out, one of those drag-racer girls who waves the flag in a bikini, and is a Shak girl. That sort of thing. So now, who suits the character of Blair better?

However, lately especially, I’ve gotten to thinking. It’s shocking, and often very bad, but I have been. Not lack of muse, but…wanting a change, I guess. I get bored with things easily, even if they are something I’ve created and still want to love. I don’t want too many characters ‘round here, and I like to keep cleaning out my closet. Lainey did it recently, as did Anna. And those two tend to be some of the members I copy first. xD So bite me. hehe. I’ve recently discovered that I’m so excited for some characters, I really don’t want to wait long before I make them. I realize that my gender ratio is getting out of hand, so I plan on fixing that very soon. In fact, I believe I’m making both Gray and Silver ( love that xD ) within a short period of time, one after the other. So it’ll be cool soon enough. But…this is painful to say. I don’t know what to do with Astrid anymore. I mean, I love her almost as much as I love Hayden or Shay, my favorites of my characters, and that is quite a lot. I’ve deleted her, then not, then brought her back. Changed her face a long time ago. Kept her reserved since forever. Gave her a makeover…everything. I’ve tried everything. This is similar to what happened with Anna-face and Faden, sadly enough. I have the muse at times, but then it fades into something different. My bad!girl muse generally goes to my Silver girls now…and I could never get rid of Max or Tristan. So, blah, I don’t even know anymore, heh.

I know that I had a lot of future plots with her. But…I dunno. I feel quite guilty for this, heh, and it’s not fair. I shouldn’t, should I? I guess we’re all doing something like this lately. Just, lately, I’ve felt like too many of my characters are similar. Old!Astrid is what Max is now. New!Astrid is a mixture of Tristan and my new girl Remy. I can’t stand not having something new and different, especially if it doesn’t come out how I want. I mean…look at Hayden, she’s so not what I originally wanted her to be. But that’s okay, because I find her quite fascinating, even if she’s all dark and evil like the majority of my characters. I simply cannot write bubbly and happy easily, and that makes me mad. But everytime I’ve tried to write something for Astrid, it sounds too much like someone else, and I get so frustrated, I want to hit something. So, this isn’t asking for opinions. It’s me ranting and feeling sorry for myself and apologising a million times over.</3 –sigh- yeah, asia feels bad. I never feel bad. It’s terrible

Woo, one problem out of the way – sort of, heh. Blah, this is more annoying to write than my other problem boards. Awesome. So, I want to get to business on this one. I hate not having characters I can relate to. Perhaps that’s why I’m so lame and have a lot of characters that are the same. I can’t help it. I feel I do my best writing when I can know exactly where my character is coming from. Even if I stated that wrong, you all get what I mean. See? Writers are better than normal people, v-side writers being the best, and we understand one another on a freaky weird level. It’s cool. So, again, this isn’t really a deletion, since I haven’t made these characters yet. Surprise surprise.

My Keranovic family – you’ve probably read my ranty novel on them at some point. So, really, I do love them. A lot. I like their story, their family dynamic and the connection to Blair and the other Cortese’s. It’s not secret that I love Svet a lot, too. She’s my girl. I’ve had her around for awhile now, and had her on chels’ AP site. I loved roleplaying her there. I liked her character and relationships with other people. Anna J always happens to be one of my favourite faces to use as well, so that’s cool. But…I’m not sure. It’s not like muse had flickered out or anything, it’s more…momentum than anything. I feel like she isn’t plottable enough, with the past that she, and her brother, have. I would have trouble writing for them, simply because I have no way of relating to them on any level. I can do that with all my characters – crappy childhood, being emancipated, depression problems, having a fat mouth…rip apart my characters, and you’ll find a few traits from myself in each and every one of them. But, I don’t know. With all the other characters I have floating around, I don’t think I could ever bring myself to making them and being happy with the result. To me, they are characters I would put into a book rather than a roleplay, even if I could find a way for them to fit in. I like having slightly more real-world stories. And, to be honest, I have such difficulty writing for my quieter characters, it’s kind of sad.

So…I dunno. I’m not putting the idea away forever, just sort of on the back burner. See where I’m at. But, then again, I’m not sure. Should I make them? Shouldn’t I? I feel bad making decisions without input from you guys first, heh. I know, that sounds stupid, but it’s true. This isn’t really a board people can post on, is it? –fail- x.x

Have a bit of Lily on your way out.<3 Since I am deleting Astrid (-pain-) I want to make someone to replace her. I’m thinking that girl is going to be Remy Silver. Just because I love Odette so much, and want to get her rolling. The Silver’s are my favourite family at the moment, and I’m on a high with my she-Silvers. xD Sooooo…guess what, people! She needs plots! Lots and lots of plots because I will be able to write for her fairly easily. She’s a lot like myself, so that says something bad about me. xD She’s got basically nothing at the moment…and I hate that. I don’t like making characters and have them float around, I’m just a picky bitch like that. This is a good note, without much ranting. Yay!

Lastly, I believe, there is a character nagging at me again. I got the idea awhile ago, and it hasn’t really done away. So, I’ll do like a tiny bullet thing here and get opinions. You all usually get the idea of a character from like, three words, so it’ll be awesome. We’re epic that way.<333 He’s an adult, male obviously, at the age of….I dunno. Twenty-two? Maybe twenty-three. Here’s a tiny low-down:

• a recent UCLA graduate, the Film/Drama and English teacher.
  
• connects with the students on an interesting level.
  
• is very traditional when it comes to teaching, but not so much anywhere else.
  
• not a class act.
  
• originally wanted to be in Hollywood, angry about that.
  
• was on his own at a young age.
  
• known widely for sleeping with students. No one can prove anything, thus why he still has a job.
  
• graduated at the age of fifteen or sixteen, thus why he is a full-fledged teacher so young.
  
• was originally from New Jersey, and from, you guessed it, the same place the Hadley siblings are from.
  
• in fact, him and Hayden had a fling before he turned eighteen and emancipated himself.
  He can’t show his face in that stupid state again.
  
• has been living in Valkyrie for less than a year, started at VA at the beginning of the second semester.
  
• easily manipulated, surprisingly enough.
  
• pretends not to really know what he’s talking about.
  
• very crass and sarcastic; think the House MD of the classroom. xD

• lastly, I’m just kind of pondering this one, he’s having flings with students while teaching. Everyone but the older staff ( meaning the younger teachers probably do ) seem to know.
  
• Also, another huge MAYBE that probably won’t happen, he’s beginning to re-start his fling with Hayden again. Just ‘cause I’m a big shipper of them on 90210

It's a good trend going around v-side lately - character stuff. Decisions are being made, characters are being created or deleted...I like it. It's a bit of spring cleaning in my eyes, which I've always been a HUUUUGE fan of xD I love cleaning and making things look all pretty and updated. It's a good feeling for Asia. So, I'm finally doing it. I complain sometimes in the c-box, and that begins to bug me after awhile. So, I'll finally bite the damn bullet and get to the things that I really need to address. I was thinking about these all day today, and finally think I made some final decisions. They're going to be really difficult for me to make, but I really do need to make them. I have too many characters in the works, not enough getting made, and a few of my current characters are just collecting dust. Problem? They're some of my favorites. So, look down for more on that. xD But onto the first!

River Hadley - one of my badass girls. She popped into my head so suddenly one night, I wrote up info that night and, guess what? I still have muse for her. All the damn time. She's so easy for me to relate to, I feel I can really play her well. It's a bit like Hayden at the moment, she's my other girl I can get into her head to the easiest. So that's good. No, I'm not deleting. I would murder someone before I thought of it. Well, maybe not. I would burn season...two of my Supernatural DVDs before I deleted her. And that's never going to happen. But, the problem is her face. I love GC...a lot. I like her both as an actress and as a person. She's worked her way up to number two of who should be dating Jared, which she is. So that's excellent. Sandy will always be my number one xD But, Olga Kurylenko - you know, new Bond girl? I love her more. She has the same intimidating kind of beauty that Gen has, but a much larger selection of photos I could actually use for River. I've been stalking her galleries for months now, and get really mad when her gallery is still down ( which it is. Send v-side vibes! ). And, today I decided that I can't use making another character. I just can't. So, I had to compromise and use her for somebody. I do know we have an Olga at the moment...but she's never posted, is never really online, and just lurks when she is. So...yeah. I love Odette and Olivia too much to change Shay's or Remy's face, and she's too badass for Blair. Sadly, all that was really left was River. So, this isn't much of a problem as it is a final decision. I know we don't have pics for her and Rion, Anna, but you forgave Gurms XD -bribe-? So...that's that, rofl. Heh.

River has a new face!

DJ - Dallas James Hadley - has grown a whole lot since his arrival in Valkyrie almost a year ago our time. I changed his original face from Stephen Collettii to Riley Smith soon after I made him. Anyone remember that? This isn't a "wrong image" kind of decision. It's a..."no gallery makes Asia mad" decision. Riley really is perfect for DJ, he really is. He has the look that I always imagined for him, and that gives me even more muse for him. So that's all good until his one and only fansite was deleted. Normally, not a big deal. Most actors have two or three out there - but not Riley. He had one, and it was an excellent one. Pictures are scarce of him already, and without a proper gallery, I'm basically doomed. We all know how much a good gallery is worth, right? xD I tried to deal for a couple of weeks, but I got irritated too quickly while looking for pics and ended up losing muse for him at the time. That sucks. I've been searching around, and the only possible face I could come up with for a replacement was Matt Lanter, who is currently posed as Max's older brother. But, at the moment, he's not being made. That pains me, but whatever. Matt has a lot of good images for what DJ does, and he has photos with Hayden, which is always a big bonus. And I'm hoping he gets more photos and such as he becomes more famous. It's a little awkward for me at the moment, since he's not really my perfect DJ, but I'll give it time. I can get used to anything. xD So, I'm making it official now!

No fancy picture for this one xD Sad, isn't it? Well, this is one of the decisions I'm not too sad about making. But I want to get this post over and done with, so I'll try and hurry.

Elijah Silver - remember him? I posted info almost a year ago, and really just never got around to making him. It's not that I didn't have the muse, I did, it was more...I had other characters I was more excited for. And then Gray came along...he's the one I poured that muse into. I'm just being lazy with his app. xD And I'm really trying to have a lot of diversity between my characters. Him and Silver aren't too similar, but similar enough that I could have the same sort of muse for either one. I'm not big on having that, weirdly enough. Similar is okay, but really similar isn't. Eh, whatever. But, I'm keeping him around. I love him, his name, his connections, his story all too much not to. I just decided to give him a bit of a makeover =D we love makeovers, don't we? And, considering he hasn't been made yet, it's not much of a makeover. More like...character changes. So, whatever. No getting used to much. The one thing I don't know about is his face. Yes, Heath Ledger is perfect for him. Yes, I still want to use him. But no, I can't. I just can't. Would feel way too horrible about it. He and Michelle were one of my favorites, and after the Oscar thing, I'd feel...I dunno about it. So, I'm saying no to him for the moment. I'll be able to find somebody. How about a small rundown about him. (:

• at age nineteen, he was either kicked-out or left, not sure yet.
  
• now stuck in America, he settled down in New Orleans living off of odd jobs and gambling.
  
• became a skilled poker player, often added his flourishes to his games.
  
• started cheating at poker and blackjack, as well as playing in a local piano bar.
  
• never finished high school, but is currently upgrading.
  
• went to live with his American family, the Silver's, just this year.
  
• is very bitter about his past, but is comfortable in his own skin.
  
• known as 'the circus freak'
  
• still is the weird kid no one really wants to go near.
  
• has somewhat of an underground following for his music, has always been a skilled musician.

Silver's getting a makeover!

no pic for this one either, sadly. Mostly because I'm too damn lazy to go and find one. xD So, unknown to most v-siders, Blake was my very first character here. I deleted him after awhile, made a few others, brought him back...it happened a few times. Actually, he was one of my first characters ever. In all nine-ish years of my roleplaying, I've had him the longest. And, because of that, he'll always have a very special place in my heart. But, honestly, I just can't seem to find a place that I like him at. I've never actually been able to find a face that I'm satisfied with. I created him before I used actual faces for him, so that's probably why. I have this set image of him in my head, and it won't bend for anyone. That's just the way it is, I guess. It's not even a question of muse, because I do often have it. Mostly, it's me not being happy with him. Before v-side, he was the only character I actually ever really used. As a result, he's been through so much, I'm surprised he's even still alive. Does that make sense? Kind of like when you're characters develop themselves in your head, not even through plots or thread, they just do. That's the only way I can describe it, rofl. Like on the OC, when they killed on Marissa. It was because she had done everything she could have done - it's kind of like that with Blake. I just don't know what to do with him next. So, maybe this is permanent, maybe it's not. Who knows. One day, someone might pop up, give me a perfect vision for him and I'll have him return. But, at the moment, that's not going to be happening. I just need to cut back on my current characters, and focus on the ones I have to get to know better. He hasn't been involved in plots for awhile now, so I don't think it'll be a major anything to IC v-side xD

ahh, it's so odd. seems I have to complain about something for like, two weeks before I finally actually get around to doing anything about it. xD but you all love me anyway, so it works. I like v-side's input on everything, so sue me. on with it!

Xavier Street - remember him? an older character of mine who has been very dead for a very long time. not quite sure why, it just sort of happened. and I don't like that. slowly, I'm giving all of my old characters CPR and getting them more involved with v-side. I'll probably post a wanted-plots thing later on, when I'm not lazy, but never too late to start annoying. (: he needs plots. quite a lot. just as some epic epic epic stuff with izzy, and that's it.<3 throw people out there (: honestly. he's got a past with a lot of people 'round here. anyway. not the point. finding the perfect face for a character, especially a more established one, is damn near impossible. I tried my best, and personally think I did a fairly good job. but hey, it's all a question of muse. I'll be doing more individualistic developing in my head, so nevermind on that. sometimes a face change can amp up the muse even more, and make everything happy again. here, I'm asking for your help. logan marshall-green or andrew cooper? might be odd for andrew, since he was em's jesse. but she isn't around anymore, so -shrug- or any other suggestions, really xD so...uh, vote? not much else to say.<3

my epic love for Elijah Silver has returned in recent weeks, a lot. he's redeveloped quite a bit in my head, and I have this crystal clear image of him in my mind - for the most part. I posted his changes in my last post, so nevermind that. I mentioned he was faceless, yeah? Heath = perfect. always will be. but recent article about him made me even sadder. so, we won't go back into that. with the addition of barfly to his personality, even more characterization flooded my head. excellent. I love him even more now (: see, Silver's going to be a real headcase when it comes to messing up. he got kicked out of the circus, for goodness sake. with addition of barfly with no visible life in front of him, is going to come the self-hatred and such. everyone's got some. his own personal punishment ( and jackassery mannerisms don't help ) is getting into fights. a lot of them. he's the moron in the bar who purposely pisses off the biggest guy there just to get swung at. oh yeah, he loses on purpose. every single time. the longer he's the punching bag, the better. I think it's an interesting trait myself. but whatever. he's got a face! Chris Pine is ten kinds of perfection now. a little less artsy-looking than Heath, but that's alright. polyvore is excellent that way. and he has about a million pictures being beaten up. Captain James T. Kirk is a smartass, apparently. xD nah, he really is. I love him. so...no voting on this one. everyone just needs to know. I like to think so, anyway. xD

first off, xavier street. is it bad of me to say i don't think i know much about him? i mean, i know him but i can't say i know much of his history and personality. -hangs head- anyway doesn't matter, i can make you tell me all about him later. anyway he is pretty epic from what i do know and face-claim wise, i'm going to go with andrew cooper because...i dunno he seems more xavier-ish to me. and he looks kind of dark and sexy so that helps too. so yeah, aussie-head is voting for andrew cooper. although i do like logan haha. but no, andrew has my vote.

ahhhh elijah silver. now him i know about hehe. so you didn't really need an opinon for this so i'm just going to proclaim my love for silver here and when you make him, i'm demanding some epic plotting just because i can. seriously, chris pine is super sexy and i do get why you switched from heath (r.i.p). but oooh he sounds so epic being the punching-bag for others. and polyvore is epic too. so yeah, i'm done. wow this was super short so now i feel pretty bad. oh well. i've said my bit. i'm tired so i'm off to sleep now xD

Okay so.... this probably won't be the looooonnnggggesssstttt reply in the world but I hope it will be helpful none the less.

Now, I love them both for Xavier. I really do. I don't really have a set opinion really. I think that if you plan on Xavier getting a bit softer, Logan's a great choice but if you're keeping him darker and sexier, Andrew's a great choice. I think you should go with whoever's face gives you more of a drive to RP him. And of course always take into account how many pics are available to you. And I can always help if you need GIFs. So yeah, I don't really have a preference between the two faces but I hope that helped at least some.

As for plotting, I am always up for an A & A production<3 We already have the epicness of Xazzy which we can always expand on. And hmm who else. Lets go down the list shall we? Can't think of anything for hales, or Mary. I could see a funny sort of friendship between him and rose though but I'm starting to think about deleting her, I always have muse for her but she's doing nothing you know? I could see either him and Peter hating eachother or being friends because of Coco, and I mean because of Coco for either friends or enemies lol. OO him and Orion should totally be all beasty since Orion's izzy's ex but then gain a friendship through... tough brooder guy-ness lol Idk. Liz and him could probably be friends, Widow and him... hmm not seeing anything there. She's protective of Izzy and if he got along with Liz she would probably be stand offish. Not seeing anything for Will, Mark, the Twins, jordin, or dean. Could definitely see him and Anya and Izzy all getting along. Art minds and all, although Izzy doesn't show anyone her paintings ((I've basically used photoshop to turn photos to paintings for her work lol)). I could see Tony trying to become a mentor type. don't know if that would work at all or just blow up in his face. Basically you know I'm here for plotting anytime, heh heh.

And in honor of the shot above, I am soooo happy about the face change. It's not that I don't love Heath, I do but... I am such a Trekkie and he did so well and Chris is so hot and he and hales have some amusing pics together and I know we already have Grales plots up'n'coming which I am SOOO excited for, but now we will have to plot these two as well. And yeah, I love his revampness, Kirk gets his ass kicked a lot, so it fits and AHH, happy.
