WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN; character dilemmas

So, I didn't like my other thread (not that it wasn't pretty, thanks to clare<3), and I would reply, but I've talked/pmed/attacked in the cbox/ posted in your various character boards all of you so I think me posting two months after the fact is pretty useless. Okay, on to more relevant stuff.

DILEMMAS

Okay I'm just going to say it up front. I made Aiden a while back, in september to be exact, and from then until now, he has had four post in total. One of the posts were his app, two were from the OOC games and one was for his space on my thread tracker. Something is wrong with that picture; majorly. I mean, it's great that Audrey has her two older brothers, Isaac and Aiden, but I'm thinking maybe that Aiden be more of a side character. It's like what Lainey faced when she had Alberto, he was just better off as a side, you know? Although I don't want to do it, I have to, that is to delete Aiden. I wouldn't do such a thing if I could see the potential of him in my muse barrel but I don't so even if I do put him in the dead/banned section for a while, I know I'll only feel guilty of never using him again, and hey, Kellan Lutz is bound to get popular so I'm also taking him up for no apparent reason. Aiden is a boring brother of Audrey, and to be very honest, I think Isaac and Audrey are a better fit than Aiden and Audrey ever were. Don't get me wrong, Aiden will surely pop up in my posts, he just won't be the main subject of them. I mean, come on, do you really expect me to let Petros get murdered by Isaac alone? No, we need the big, intimidating, gun wielding brother to that, to strike the fear of god into Hayes for ever thinking that he can date Audrey. Okay, I'm being dramatic, but still. I'm going to apologize to Lainey and Tessa most because of Camden which will never be, but I still want to plot with Camilla and that Shaiden could not be as well, but again I call plots with Shiloh!!

So now comes the time I talk about Noah. I think I made Noah at whim, well not made per se, but the general idea of him. Not that a former journalist who had a daughter when he was 17 and now suffers from short term memory loss isn't kick ass, it's just that my idea for him is slowly fizzling. And that sucks, a lot. However, I'm not going to delete him, just going to do what I plan to do with Fairuza, make him at the end of my list of making charactes and see if I still think he's worth the time and effort. Don't get me wrong, I'm not contemplating on not making Fairuza, she's definitely being made, it's just I'll make Noah after her, if I decide to make him. Yeah, I just wanted to let you know about Noah's current situation and what might happen if I don't get a spark for him soon.

THE NEW COMER

Say hello to DARIAN FRANCIS WALKER

First of all, Darian is being made, there is absolutely no question, he's going to be made right after Sio. This is all thanks to Anna and her never-ending rush of Merlin icons which I love! He's been a screamer, an interesting screamer and if he had stopped screaming, I don't think we would be here, anyways, on to his summarized life-story, yeah?

Darian Francis Walker was born on June 21, the longest day of the year. He was named after his mother, yep, his momma (so I dunno if I should put Jr. or II or neither by his name, you guys decide). His father was the Senior coach of the Black Pool Cricket Club, and his mother was a school-teacher. Darian was a good kid, rowdy but good. Nearly a year later, on May 31 Darian had a brother, Chance Morgan Walker( I might make him, and the only PB that suits Chance is Tom Sturridge, and if he's taken by the time I want to make Chauncy, I won't make him). Life was good and rhythmic with Darian who was involved with various activities such as boxing and rugby but predominantly boxing. He even won a couple awards and distinctions up until he moved to Valkyrie. Darian was the loud and friendly of the brothers whereas Chance was the introverted, quiet, artistic one, always in his studio. Life went on like this for a few more years until the time when he was fifteen, almost sixteen, when it happened. Their father walked out on the family, admitting to an affair and left Darian's mother. It would be the last time they would see Darian's father, that is, until the funeral. About a year and a half later, when life was stable and Darian, Chance and Darian(mum) was when the most devastating thing occurred in the brothers lives. More than their dad walking out on the family. It was a beautiful Saturday morning, sun shining, the ocean sparkling, Darian dragged Chance out to kick around a football a few hours before dinner. God, his little brother needed to get out once in a while from that damned studio of his.

Meanwhile back at the house, Darian senior was placing a cake in the oven and slowly beginning dinner preparations. A few minutes into cutting the vegetables was when the symptoms began. The older Darian shrugged them off, continuing on. About a half hour later, Older Darian was dead, the coroner revealed sudden cardiac death as the cause. By the time the funeral came around, Darian and Chance had the help of their Mother's younger sister and her husband who immediately flew in upon hearing the news. It was after the service, and after almost everyone left and their mother six feet under, when their estranged father showed up. He was drunk out of his mind, with his shirt not tucked and overall bad hygiene, he lingered at the site for a moment or two before being escorted away. As far as Darian knew, he and his brother were orphans; however, they were not alone. Their aunt being comfortably well set, was never able to have children, and with quick convincing of his uncle, Darian and Chance were all set to go to North America, Valkyrie California to be exact. After wrapping thing up, such as graduation and other things, Darian and Chance came to Valkyrie.

Upon arriving in miniature Los Angeles, with a very paranoid aunt, both Darian and Chance were sent to the doctors for a full physical after a few days rest. Nothing is better than getting off a plane and going to the doctors. Chance was well and healthy but it was Darian that had some complications. He was diagnosed with Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM), which meant that the muscle of the heart thickens and causes disruptions of the electrical functions of the heart. He was diagnosed with the same thing that killed his mother. Only Darian, his aunt and uncle knew of this, not even Chance was told of Darian's condition. This remains a secret for many reasons, but mainly, Darian does not want to be treated any differently for what he's been diagnosed with. Now in Valkyrie, Darian is in the university, still boxes and works at the Renaissance fair.

- he's very laid-back and cool
- impulsive
- a little arrogant
- friendly but untrusting
- not really a womanizer, but has had his share of women
- quite intelligent
- funny
- likes crude humor and makes sexual innuendos
- critical of religion
- makes light of tense situations
- when his mother died, it tore him up and feels very guilty
- protective of his little brother Chance, whom he calls Chauncy (think how Dean is the only one allowed to call Sam 'Sammy')
- actually loves his job at the Renaissance fair
- doesn't know what he wants to do with his life

Alright, so that is the gist of Darian, more of a rough copy, if you will, so now I would appreciate some epic vside opinions/plot/whatever.

Okay for the sad stuff first....

Aiden was great but I know what it's like to have a character that you make and then have little to no interest in playing... not fun and not worth the time. So yeah, I'm sorry you have to go through the unhappy task of deleting someone you love but I understand your decision one hundred percent.
As for Noah, you do exactly what I do and put them at the end of the list. It's what I did with Justin, and even though Justin's not getting made now, don't let that discourage you. Gah,, *is bad at advice* basically all I want you to do is to do what fits you best you know? Hold off on him, give him a few more chances and if he doesn't take, he doesn't. No ones going to be angry.

Now to the fun stuff...

lol sorry for the over dramatics of the last one, it's the only one I found with all three, basically her character had a dream darian's character was going to die when he left so when she saw him heading out she tried desperately to stop him, sweet huh? but yeah, that's what's going on in that one.

So basically I love you soo much for making a Bradley James for many reasons. One he's completely hot. Two he's one of my new male obsessions, the other being Colin Morgan since I am so in love with both of them. Not that Katie's not my new girl crush, I just can't want to have actual sex with her since... well... I like men and although I've had a "Kate Perry" moment or two in my life I am still straight and this has gotten FAR off track, lol. And Three *points to animations*. Four, go to youtube and type in Arthur and Merlin or Arthur and Morgana. And Five, somehow you totally swooped and grabbed the gauntlet because I didn't expect them ever to have any pics with anyone around the site but I show you guys one video of my new love, ONE and you totally grab the reins and I love you for it.

And I'm done. Now for actual ideas, My head's swimming because we can do so much, especially since they'll all work at Rein Fair they can have their storylines as well as their characters story lines lol. I don't know if you've ever worked at a real rein fair or know what it's like but they go all out. The workers actually do the work of the role they play. My friend Maggie worked there and all day in costume she would cook the old time food, and weave looms. At night the only lights were candles and fires, one her break she had to keep the accent up and her character up and act as though it was her character's break. The only thing they were allowed that was modern was the toilets and their underwear. But they had this whole back plot and relationships to the other volunteers and all within the imaginary world and it was awesome. So they could have those relationships as well as their actual relationship, which will be fun as well as rein fairs have so many late nights and early mornings that a lot of people camp out or sleep in the second floors of the shops and stuff instead of going home, which'll bring other fun groupings, of course after tourists, visiters, etc stop flowing in they don't have to be in character while they camp out or anything.

It sounds as though he's been here a little bit then, few months you said in the c-box, so he's been at the Rein Fair here long enough to be comfortable, luckily Derek and Meg already have their character profiles from other Reinaissance fairs to bring so they can pick up and be fairly comfortable right away too. At least in the Rennie's world. That also makes me happy, VA will have rennies which is a whole new type of dorky, love it. I don't know what Darian's character in the fair will be, but if you make him a nobleman Derek should somehow become his manservant. Derek prefers to be the lower classes.

As for what the ACTUAL characters are ACTUALLY like I could see Darian having like an instant attraction to Meg, which would make Derek hate him off the bat. Meg would probably think he was cute but a bit of a flake or something, she would also probably worry about him hanging around Derek because well, she's a lioness for derek. Maybe if derek thinks darian isn't really serious and sees that he has no shot with meg, he would grow to like him. I sort of had a flash day dream inspired firstly by your plot idea of Darian and Derek hanging out and Darian thinking they both needed some fun, gets derek drunk((which would be hysterical)) and then when he helps him home, Meg goes all bitch on Darian, Darian get's angry at her and calls her out on how she's a hypocrite saying she wants whats best for derek when what she really wants is him to need her and that she doesn't want derek to get more independent because then she'd have to stop pretending she isn't dependent on him and yada yada to which she basically slams the door on his face. Although he would be correct and then he tries to apologize she stops him and says sorry first and she also just doesn't trust many people with derek but she does trust him with darian as long as they don't get behind the wheel and lol poof dream stopped there.
Although we should have her get scared for his life because that would show more affection from her more than anything else. He's got a nice little heart condition too.

Anyways, sorry I didn't have anything solid to present but OMG he's so epic, they're so epic, HUZZAH for Rennie's coming to town!!
