Appearance:
Riley is basically the ‘hot nerd'. Oh yes, this is very true about Riley, so unlike his younger brother Reed, who has the bad-boy reputation and looks. Though, both of the brothers have the look completely opposite of the other. Riley has dark brown hair and gorgeous light blue eyes. He was born with brown hair and never did more than a cut in his lifetime. No hair dyes, highlights, or anything unnatural like that. Nope, Riley likes his clean-cut hair and his shaven facial hair, which he has molded more into since he moved from Valkyrie to Los Angeles.
His wardrobe has the same things, just in different colors. Polos are extremely common for him. Rugby shirts, jeans, and khakis are all also in his common attire. He doesn’t keep up with most of the trends that spring up out of Los Angeles. He goes for more of the most basic and timeless looks that never get out of style. Where does he get these clothes? Eh, he finds them from a collections of stores. From outlet malls to Hollister, they all look the same to him, so it doesn’t matter where he gets it, just wherever he seems to be closest to. But, his favorite clothes to wear is just a sweatshirt and jeans. It's amazing that he could wear the most oddest clothes together, and still make it look unique and him. He was never a fan of trends, so he never follows them, and never seems to dare when it comes to clothes. As you can see, he wears clothes that almost everyone does. Sure, he does dare to be different, just not when it comes to clothes. But, when it comes to work, he dresses up. Like most the staff in the school, he wears button-up shirts, and nice pants. He knows where to draw the line between 'students' and 'faculty'. Though, he could probably pass as a student, this is the reason why he looks pulled together when it comes to work.
Underneath those timeless attire is his body. Nothing special actually. The thought of sports revolt him. But, he knows to stay healthy he must have some physical interaction, so he jogs on occassion and workd out with his brother. He looks lean and fit, and he could work out for a couple weeks and not touch a machine for two months before he starts to go at it again. He would much rather just hang out with friends or read.
His voice. Oh yes. Born and raised in Dublin, Ireland. His voice is daring yet sensitive, and rugged yet smooth. Yes, he has the accent of the Irish. He always used this to his advantage. Renting Colin Farrel movies just to stand and imitate his every move. He had the accent down. While he was doing this though, Reed was trying so hard to get rid of it. Did work that much though. Riley’s is more vivid and noticeable while Reed’s is more relaxed and faint. Anyways, Riley did live in Ireland until he was thirteen.
Personality:
It is surprising that as far as Riley knows he is the exact opposite in choices of that as his alcoholic, anger-problemed brother, but they both have the same mind-set when it comes to the way they are. Six words to describe Riley are: confident, persuasive, sensitive, hard-working, funny, and smart.
He is confident because he never regrets anything he does. He doesn’t believe in mistakes. His presence is very demanding and you can’t help but to turn your head, or give him the double take when he enters a room. He just has the natural aura about him, and he won’t falter when he knows he is getting the attention. Maybe this is something his father taught him. “Never repeat yourself more than twice, and you rush for no one.” Riley’s father would tell him when he was younger.
He is persuasive because he knows how to get things done. And when you are in a snitch, being a persuasive person can just get you that thing you have already been told ‘no’ too. So, maybe he persuasively may ask you to do something for him, or get him something he may want. And just maybe you may catch on that he is good at being persuasive, since Riley believes it is a skill, and loves how people don’t notice when he uses it.
He is sensitive because he isn’t afraid to tell people what he is feeling. Yes, Riley Turner wears his heart on his sleeve, but he doesn’t mind. Some may call this a flaw, while other call it a blessing. Riley doesn’t mind people reading him like a open book. He enjoys feeling this emotion since he thinks it keeps him tuned to others. He can easily relate to others feelings.
He is hard-working because he knows what he wants. And when he does not get what he wants, well, then he makes it a little game. From work, to school, to friends, and especially towards girl. He needs to give everyone one-hundred and ten percent everyday. He loves achieving goals and even if he only get a inch farther everyday he still feels accomplished, patting himself on that back before heading off to bed. This trait also helps him push others. When he was younger a teacher told him that it was a good quailty to have as a teacher. Riley would push someone to make the best of themselves and that could be great for another kid.
He is funny because he loves to have a good laugh. He loves laughing, making people laugh, and finding things funny. You may always seem him smiling but that is just him. He is mostly known for cheering people up and laughing with him. He is just an all-around happy guy.
He is smart because he loves school and books. He could spend hours reading just one book. If he doesn't know something, he makes a point to figure it out. He did extrmemly well in school, because he knew to be smart, that would help you get into a good college. He likes staying on top of things and giving the best work he could possibly give.

Flaws:
Do to a biking accident when he was fourteen he has a scar across his left shoulder blade.
Riley also use to have a small studdering problem when he was in grades school. He took speech classes, but sometimes when he gets nervous, he might studder his words as if he was drunk.
Secrets:
Back in L.A he broke up with a long-term girlfriend about two-days before he moved back to start student teaching.
History:
His parents are Seamus and Rachel Turner, who lived in Ireland all their life. Riley was their first born on October 4th. He was a rather happy baby. When Riley was three, he had a brother...Reed. Riley was happy to have another sibling, and always wanted more, and when Riley was five, Seamus and Rachel had a final boy, Regan. As Riley grew up, he developed a studder. He would sometimes slur his words together, and his classmates would make fun of him. He had to attend speech classes to help get rid of his studdering problem. And he did...well, he just had it under-control.
When he was thirteen, and Reed was ten, and Regan was eight, their parents had some big news, they were moving to America. Reed was ecstatic, but Riley wasn’t so sure. He was thirteen after all, turning fourteen that fall and would be attending highschool. He though he had it worse. New school, new people, and new customs. He was sure that the Americans were a bit different than what he did with his friends. But, he didn’t have a choice and that summer, they moved.
High school actually didn’t be as bad as he thought. He was, after-all, the ‘cute Irish student’ and soon become ‘in’ with the ‘in’ crowd. Even if now he was ‘cool’ he also thought of himself as a ‘nerd’. He loved books. Loved reading and writing. So no doubt he was very involved in school activities. Such as, the newspaper, student council, yearbook, and the writer’s guild. He knew he was going to write books and teach people about it when he grew-up, and he was only a sophomore. His father was proud. Riley knew what he wanted to do at such an early age.
Riley wanted to go to a big college, but also not so far away from Valkyrie. So, he researched some colleges online and fell upon University of California, Los Angeles. It was perfect. Big campus, dedicated students, just what he was looking for. He applied, and got accepted. He was double majoring in education and literature. His first year at college was looking up. But, one night he got a call from his brother. Reed was hotly telling Riley about how Seamus had kicked him out since he wouldn’t pursue what he was good at, like Riley had. Four a couple days. Reed crashed with Riley until he was able to establish a living condition. Riley felt bad for Reed, and as much as he did love his parents, he just doesn’t know why his father went off on Reed. Sometimes he feels like it was his fault. He after all, did know what he wanted to do with the rest of his life since he was only in 10th grade, and Reed was only a junior, and he still didn’t know what he wanted to do.
Now, Riley is going to start student teaching under Creative Writing and Journalism classes at Valkyrie Academy and he is more than thrilled, so re-visit the halls that made him a legend. See hoe much Valkyrie has changed...or not changed at all...

Well, let’s see. He is not a macho-man with an ego the size of California. Even though he is older than over 95% of the males at Valkyrie he isn’t afraid to show his feelings.
