Appearance:
A frame of 5'10" he isn't the tallest male in the world, but isn't the shortest. But still, he is tall enough to surpass most girls that live in the area. Underneath his designer duds is one healthy and scuplted body. When he was a younger child, his parents were big in dancing, so what do they do but sign-up their kids for dancing. It wasn't hip-hop, ballet, or jazz. They had them in ballroom. It was so drilled into their heads that even now, Paolo could bring you into the tango or even the foxtrot on the dancefloor, he still remembers the steps quite well. Plus doing dance lessons for about five years, that did wonders on his body. Keeping it toned and healthy for years of other sports and excersises. But there is always so much you can do when it comes to physical appearance, especially when you have asthma. Paolo doesn't like that getting in his way. But more on that later.
Paolo has deep, brown, intense eyes. Tan skin and dark hair. His smile is quite contagious, as it is really wide and makes you want to smile anyways. He has a casual look to himself and as intense as his eyes can be, he has an intenser voice. It is very demanding and deep. When he speaks to a room full of people, it is like you are the only one in the room and he is only talking to you.
His hair is naturally dark. But during the summer months it usually grows lighter. Once, Paolo even got some highlights at a salon. A little blonde mixed with his dark brown hair. It's usually touseled on his head. No, he doesn't wake-up and see his hair, thinking it looks good. He does take the time to do his hair, but he doesn't like it in his eyes, meaning he doesn't have bangs. Though he usually has longer hair, sometimes he does cut it shorter at times and waits for it just to grow out.
This boy, has style. He comes from a very wealthy background, so he naturally has the money to buy some expensive threads. As long as Paolo can remember, he was only dressed in designer-wear, and nothing else. This kept with him as he grew older. Polos from Ralph Lauren underneath a Tommy Hilfiger blazer with cargo pants. He was born and raised along these standards and he even keeps to those unwritten rules by his mother now. He is very...suave when it comes to school. He easily looks great int he uniform, but even outside of school, you won't seem him looking grubby in muddy jeans, a college t-shirt, and old navy flip-flops. Oh no, he'd still wear khakis and a polo, or maybe even a casual-looking suit. He doesn't keep up with trends, never understands the 'new' things. But, he doesn't have a choice when his mother comes home with some. He is more into the timeless looks that never go out-of-style. He's very old fashioned when it comes to clothes.
Personality:
| GENTLEMAN | ROMANTIC | PROTECTIVE | INTELLIGENT | GRUDGER | COLLECTIVE | VALIANT | VIOLENT |
Gentleman
Not trying to brag, but Paolo is everything a girl could ask for when it comes to how a guy should act. Well, Paolo did grow up on etiquette lessons while in Italy. He knows how to talk, when to talk, how to sit, how to eat. His parents weren't crazy-strict, but they wanted well-mannered kids. And who said chivalry was dead? Because they obviously haven't met Paolo. His morals and beliefs are very old-fashioned when it comes to treating a girl. Yes, that means he would gladly slip his blazer off and place it over the puddle of water for a girl to step over it. He opens car doors for girls, helps them with books walking to classes, and even will push in your chair for you. He does know that this isn't quite what people do here in America quite anymore, but he does enjoy being a little different.
Romantic
Paolo is like a character written out of a romantic novel. When he is with a girl, he treats her like a queen. Every gesture would most likely take your breath away. Paolo is so wrapped up in romance he'll kiss you while saying something in Italian, or a quote from well-known book he has read. It may sound weird but wouldn't ever girl want to hear jsut how beautiful she is in Italian? Dates with this boy are amazing. He'll plan out romantic dinner on the beach or even take you to the drive-in to watch a movie with only the two of you there. He takes thought in many things when it comes to pleasing a girl.
Protective
A small downfall Paolo has is being over protective. He's over prtective of his little sister, and get protective with friends, let's not the girlfriends. He's usually a naturally collective guy, but he does have a little jealous streak to him. Maybe it's because a lot of the guys out there are only looking at girls for someone to bang, and Paolo really does look down upon that. Yes, he's a little true romantic, and gets a little defensive when guys look at his girlfriend of friends that way. Friends sometimes gets annoyed by this, but Paolo swears he's just looking out for them.
Intelligent
The boy is smart. Growing up in Italy had him breezing through the lessons for the grade he was in. He was never moved up a grade, but he leisurely read certain books, worked ahead in homework, and even started learning English on his own, before hsi parents enrolled them in English lessons. He's a bright kid and likes to help his friends and his siblings with homework.
Grudger
He holds grudges like none other. If you got him out in dodgeball in the second grade, he would carry that to his grave. This has always been one of his downfalls. But being a grudger is one thing you really can't shake off. His father is a big grudger as well, and Fausto can't help but be a little proud of his son, even if it's really not something to be proud of. But, Fausto says it does come in handy. This way, you'll never forget the people that burned you, even if they have forgotten, you can use that to an advantage.
Collective
Paolo is a laid-back kind of guy. He's very cool about certain things. He keeps all his feelings in check and doesn't wear his heart on his sleeve. Being so collective shows in his presence and body language. He just has the look about him that he's suave and relaxed all the time whether is be leaning against a wall with his hands in his pocket, or sitting in his desk leaning back a bit. He doesn't let the little things bother him and that shows in his composure.
Valiant
He loves being the 'hero'. He does enjoy getting praised for doing the right thing. Of course it's a little different than what it use to be in the 'old days'. But, that doesn't stop Paolo from looking out for certain people and helping them when they ask him. He has a true weakness for girls. The whole 'damsel in distress' he always finds himself in situations where he is helping girls. Very old-fashioned, but haven't we established that Paolo is old-fashioned?
Violent
Another triat he isn't so fond of is his anger problem. This comes out a lot with being protective and a grudger. He isn't insanely jealous, but let's get real here, he does get jealous once in awhile usually when it comes to guys and girls. Even if he's frustrated with his siblings. He doesn't through uge temper tantrums, but he may get a little physical and say sme pretty hurtful things until he calms down and apologizes.

History:
Annora Flynn was quite the free-spirited young Irish woman with a thrist for adventure. She was the youngest girl in her family and only had one older sister. Her name was Rachel. Being the only girls in a family full of brothers, they were very very close. So one day, when she was twenty-two and her sister was twenty four, they decided to make a roadtrip to Italy...from their hometown of Dublin, Ireland. So...it wasn't quite a road trip, but they flew there by plane without their parents knowing. Of course they called their parents later and were expected to be back, but the sister were only young once and they both had lives back in Ireland. Annora was going to go to school and Rachel was working and was engaged to her long-time boyfriend, Seamus. They were planning to stay for a whole two weeks and they had fun in Rome. Shopping, touring, eating, ah! it was so great that they never wanted to leave. But one night at an exlusive club, someone accidently spilled their drink on Annora. The man's name? Fausto Giovanni. What a corny fate.
It was't love at first sight. In fact, Annora was revolted by the man who seem to be so high up on his horse. Fausto though, was memserized by the young Irish beauty, and offered her to buy her a new dress. Annora had declined at first until Rachel had stepped in and said she would. Who would pass on shopping? The next day, Fausto took Annora for a new dress which he had ruined the night before. They had a wonderful time, in fact, Annora had changed her opinion on the young Italian man. The rest of the week they were there, she spent most her days with her sister and spent those small moments with Fausto. Of course it was heart-breaking when she had to go back to Ireland, but she had to, and so she did.
Eight weeks later...Annora discovered that she was pregnant, and only Fausto could be the father. She told her sister first, who was supportive and told her to fly to Italy and tell him. The next flight to Italy and the entire way Annora had coached herself on what she would say. When she got there, she used the old phone number he had given her. Luckily it was the same number he still used. Was he thrilled to see his sweet Annora, and when she told Fausto that she was pregnant, he was a little surprised and shocked at the same time, and then believe it or not, he proposed to her. Now, she was the one to be surprised, but she knew deep down that she loved him and said yes. Boy...if she knew what she had gotten herself into.
Fausto was the eldest boy in the Giovanni family. His dad? The crime boss of the Giovanni crime family. A mafia based in Los Angeles, California, over in the States. A family that recently set-base in Los Angeles to terroize the city within the organized crime the Giovanni family committed. Fausto was only back in Italy for some schooling before he went back to work with and for his father. As intimidating as Fausto looked, he was big into family, and always wanted to have one for his own. A few calls to his father, and he would stay in Italy to start a family. Though his father wasn't all for it, afterall Annora was Irish, and the old man had natural dislike since their biggest rivals were the Irish mob, he said they could as long as they visited L.A, and Annora wasn't a 'spy'. Of course, Fausto wasn't as 'headstrong' as his father was, though with a few background checks, The Flynns' had nothing to do with any Irish mob. The wedding was very big inviting every family member on both sides. It was a quicker marriage, but the two didn't want to wait. Plus, with Annora still pregnant, it was all easier.
They had a baby boy; named Alberto, after Fausto's father. They decided to wait awhile on having more kids, being so young to start a family. Annora was married into wealth, something her family didn't have much of, and Annora did enjoy it...quite a lot. There were living in the Giovanni's vacation home, but it could easily triple her own home back in Ireland. Her sister, of course, visited frequently, with her new baby boy, Riley, who was the same age as Alberto. Four years after Alberto was born, they had another baby boy. His name was Paolo.
Paolo was quite the energetic baby. His brother was all over him. Something most have been in the water because the Giovanni's only daughter, Angelica, was born. Then, two year after that, Constantino, the last Giovanni was born. After the fourth kid, Fausto and Annora decided to call it quits on baby-making. The Giovanni children grew up in very extravagant lives. Paolo was five when he started learning how to play the piano and the violin. Then around seven, he started those dance lessons his mother forced him into. Paolo was not ahomely child, he got into soccer, running, and swimming. But, he went to a boxing game with his father one night, and that's when he discovered what his real passion was for. Young Paolo went crazy, reading everything he possibly could on boxing and even begged his parents to get him in lessons, but of course his mother said no.
A very mature young man at only the age of ten, did he sure not realize what was happening to him next. Annora and Fausto told the children; they were moving to America. Paolo wasn't as scared as one ten year old might have felt moving from his native country, Italy, and moving to America, in which he heard was a lot different than the Italian culture. The reason why the family was moving to Los Angeles was because Alberto Senior, the leader of the Giovanni mob, was dead. Got twisted up in the Irish mob in L.A and during a shoot-out, Alberto was killed. Fausto, was in line first to take over the family business, he was the first born son. It was hard for the family to move at America at first. They all knew English well, but it was so different. And harder.
Paolo quickly learned what exactly his father did. There were many men that were coming in and out in and out of the Giovanni mansion and that had raised many questions, finally he learned what it was all about. His dad and his men killed people, stole from people, and stirred up some problems. He really didn't have much of a say in it. If it was a part of his life, it was and he wasn't about to complain about it. Anyways, he was eleven and he thought guns were cool, like any other little boy. That was until he witnessed one of his father's guys killed two men, one night when he was at his dad's office. The men had begged for their lives, the shooter had taken their time with the deaths. The screams the men concquered up were embedded in Paolo's mind for the rest of his life. And that was when the night terrors started. They were only softcore at first. But, they had quickly escaladed to the point where he would wake up in his own screams and sweat drenching himself. He was so traumatized by the event that he had trouble sleeping for months on end. It was hard for Paolo to get help since he couldn't exactly tell the therapist he wittnessed a double murder. But his dad did know a man that could help him, and so he talked to him. He still has terrors at night, the memory never leaving his mind. But, he's not afriad to go to sleep.
This event didn't change his views on being a part of a crime family. He was very in the middle. His older brother, Alberto, was all for it, hungry for more. But his younger sister Angelica, wanted nothing to do with it, thinking that this 'ruined her life'. Constantino was too young to really grab hold of it all. But, if Paolo was ever thrown a gun and ordered to kill a man, he wouldn't know if he could just do it. He would have to really believe it was the right thing. Maybe an avenged sort of deal, or for his family or lvoed ones.
When he was thirteen, his wish for boxing finally came true when his father enrolled him in some lessons, saying fighting was always soemthing useful to learn. Paolo was all over it. New gear, working hard. In small competions were something he thrived for, especially when he kept on winning. That all changed quickly when one day he worked too hard, he had a hard time breathing, shortness of breath, and dizziness, until he passed out. He awoke in the hospital with his parents and siblings there. At the hospital, he was diagnosed with asthma. Which basically meant if he did too much physical labor, he would have another attack. But did that make him quit boxing? Well, he had to, but that didn't stop him from practicing with his friends. Though sometimes he would get another attack having to use his inhaler. Then, his friends just got too scared for his life, and stopped doing it with him.
His friends weren't the only ones looking out for his life. The summer before he would enter as a sophomore, it got a little hetic with the family business and Fausto was nervous for his family, thinking they were targets for a rival mafia's plan. Fausto's motto is 'family above all' so he backed his family up and moved them to Valkyrie, California, where Annora's sister was living now with three boys, while Fausto stayed in Los Angeles. The family tried to visit Fausto frequently but it was tough, which these threats so Paolo had to make the most out of it. He had his cousins, they were a start for meeting new people. Being in highschool he was a bit different from all the other kids. He still just looked like he was still in Italy. Maybe that is why girls can't help but swoon over him? He's established some pretty good friends, along with some girlfriends along the way. He hasn't done much sports do to his extreme case of asthma. He's like his father, very head-strong. He finds loopholes and does what he want for his fix.
