Appearance: His hair was a natural, dirty blond. But he lost a bet with Charlie, his sister, so she got to do his hair. She was going to give him a dark burgundy red color with black streaks but he begged her not to and got her to cave. So she simply died it a sandy color of brown with dirty blonde highlights.

Mark doesn’t like to be wild with his appearance, he’s a simple guy in his mind and there fore his clothes match. Jeans and T-shirts for this stud. The clothes still look good though since the body they dress is athletic and strong without being over muscled. He likes to play soccer so it keeps him in great shape, plus he had to have been given some good genes because he doesn’t work out and he eats like a pig.

Mark has teal/grey eyes. The color really changes in the light, sometimes they even look rather blue. He has a strong chin with no clef, which he is thankful for. The chin usually does have a small amount of stumble though since he really only takes the time to shave every other two days. He isn’t very worried about a appearance but he is proud and knows that he attractive.

Personality: Mark’s hard guy to explain. He doesn’t talk to people that much. Never the one to walk up and discuss things. Mark will never be the first one to say hello, if he bumps into someone he will apologize but that will be it. He doesn’t like strangers, never has. The thing is, Jensen is not shy, he just doesn’t like people that much. He has a soft spot for his sister and few others but that’s it. He is rather protective of Charlie but nothing too dramatic. He wishes she’d calm down her life style. Also, he and her clash because Mark doesn’t get along or like many people but if he falls for a girl, he falls hard. He is a one girl guy. He will not cheat and he will not flirt. He takes a relationship slow and seriously.

He is sarcastic and rather rude when he does speak. He hates anything that doesn’t have reason in it, religion as well. The best way he has heard the word “faith” defined was “Belief void of reason.” To Mark, that is stupid and rather pathetic because it shows an innate need for a power they can’t control that people put trust into. They live their lives for rewards and fear of punishment from a being they don’t know exist. Religion has cause alienation and wars and so many bad things, he just didn’t understand it and he probably wouldn’t ever. It’s not that he’s always logical, just everything he does he must have a reason to do.

Mark is a photographer. He enjoys taking things everyone can see and connect to, such as a telephone post and showing in a way most haven’t thought of, let alone see. Different angles and colorings and types of film, different cuts, focusing on different aspects of the whole picture. It’s what he loves and he also loves Abstract art. Clean ones, simple shapes and colors, not much blending or soft lines. He connects to it in a way he can’t explain but he can give you a reason why he enjoys it, his reason is that the colors and simple shapes, pieced together in a complex or strange formation let’s a person see the art in a new way.

Flaws: Mark is WAY too analytical. He takes things so seriously and always thinks things through which may not sound so bad, it might even seem like a good thing except he doesn’t live enough. He’s rude and sarcastic and doesn’t care if he hurts anyone’s feeling except for the few soft spots he has. He’s a stubborn ass.

Secrets: People think he acts rude to everyone because he’s too scared to get close to anyone but the truth is, he really thinks some things are stupid and will not hesitate on stating his opinion. He’s rude because sometimes people need a slap in the face and sometimes, he just wants to see them take it personally. He finds it amusing to see how much others care about his opinion.

Also, his dad used to beat him. He didn’t tell Charlie, his sister, nor did he discuss it with his mother. It ended, his dad hadn’t taken a swing at him for years and he wasn’t going to do it again.

History: Mark was born about two years Before Charlie. They were born in South Africa before moving to LA shortly after Charlie was born. Not in the best parts but not in the worst parts. They were and always have been Middle class. It’s kept their heads straight. Mark and her were like normal brother and sister, teasing and bugging each other and things like that. Mostly Mark bugging her. They lived a rather normal life but when Mark was in 5th grade his father started acting rather strange.

His dad started coming home later and later and screaming at all of them. Saying he deserved a better family and they weren’t good enough. Mark would hide in his room, knowing his parents were downstairs screaming at each other. He didn’t care to listen, he didn’t want to know, He would rather pretend nothing was happening then admit to being even slightly bothered by the fights.

His dad would get Mark alone and yell at him, saying he was the only other man around and he needed to understand and then beat him. It was a weekly thing and not too unbearable. So that’s what Mark did. He bared it and didn’t tell anyone, not even Charlie. Then after a good while of the screams, their Mother took off. She left and she had gone for good. Charlie didn’t blame her. Their mom stayed years with their father like that for the kids but finally couldn’t take it. Mark thought the woman, their mom, was weak and couldn’t have had loved them if she could so easily leave. It didn’t make sense for her to leave two kids with an ass of a dad if she loved them.

Charlie slowly became his best friend and as they grew older and more different the beatings subsided. One day they ended. Maybe it was because Mark was growing older and soon was taller than his father, maybe Mark had finally learned a way to not tick him off. By then they had moved to this place. The place of Valkryie. He and Charlie grew more and more different and soon, slowly began to drift apart. They couldn’t hang out like they used to. It might also be because of the sexual awkwardness they both felt by the many many young women their father brought into the house. Their father re-married many many times. There was Linda, Sheron, Lisa, Roxanne and now Cindy. Charlie and Mark have a bet going on when the divorce will come.

Although Mark and Charlie grew apart they both still really cared for one another, of course it was Mark left worried. He was always worried and slowly he learned to not try so hard to keep her in line. It wasn’t going to work. Mark had never been one for violence, he’d lived with it long enough and knew it didn’t solve anything, but when Charlie started coming home late with cuts, bruises and broken bones… Mark understood what drove people to fit. He beat the crap out Rick, Charlie’s boyfriend, and told him to stay away from her. Charlie then, stupidly, stayed with the ass. And when she finally tried to break it off the guy raped her and Mark beat the kid up again, just harder. And it felt good. It felt really good. That’s when Charlie and him decided to live in the dorms. There was a tighter watch on the dorms than at the sex-fest back home.

Living Situation: The Dorms. He‘s had a few roommates but they haven‘t worked out so he opted for a single this year and got it.
