character facts ,
full name: seth michael malinda
gender: male.
age: eighteen.
school year: senior
art interest: he has none. paid to get in.
portrayed by: ian somerhalder.
appearance: Maybe if Seth Malinda wasn't so attractive, he wouldn't be the arrogant guy he has become, but that wasn't the case, now was it? If you look attractive, you'll have confidence, and confidence can easily turn into pride- a little too much pride. The boy was born with great genes and although Amber is his sister, they got different traits from their parents which might explain their difference in appearance, but now, back to him. Well, Seth is 5'9, not exactly the tallest of his friends all the time, but he doesn't mind. What he doesn't have in his height, he makes up for in his beautiful facial features. Those blue eyes are so hard to resist, but there are times whe nthey'll look grey, or even blue-grey, if you will. He has some facial hair, but it's not like the guy is Santa Claus. It's not the individual features Seth has that makes him cute, but everything put together just makes him look great. As for his hair, it's not long, nor is it super short, but one thing for sure is that he has brown hair. Most of the time, it looks messy, but not Petros-Hayes-messy. Just like, slight bedhead.
Although Seth can be pretty lazy at times, he still wroks out, because the thought of having himself turn weak or 'into a giant' is something that he doesn't want to turn in to reality. That's pretty much the only time when he's not lazy, but after that, Seth makes people do things for him. Still, Seth doesn't work out twenty four seven, so he isn't like those body builders, but really, who is? They probably took steroids or whatever, anyways which he wasn't planning to do. He already looked good, so as long as he continued to stay fit, nothing would change. Plus, the guy didn't really want to crush a girl he just met at a club in bed because he's too muscular - not like it would ac tually happen though. His skin is pretty fair, part of the reason is because he was born like that and another part because he never got out much, at least during the day. Other than walking a little bit outside, Seth is usually inside, but the most he ever goes outside is at night because that's really when all the parties start and the best time to go to nightclubs is at, you guessed it, night.
If you look at Seth, you'll immediately notice that he doesn't look like a little innocent sophomore. That might be because he isn't a sophomore, but also because first impressions tell you a lot about a person even if the first impression doesn't even include a conversation. You can tell that he isn't a little good, momma's boy, even though in truth, he enjoys getting what he wants and he usually does. Seth's more like in the middle of bad boy and innocent, since the guy doesn't exactly look like a rebel (at least, not entirely, maybe partly) but he isn't a little, cute, puppy-like boy either. Once you meet Seth Malinda though, you understand that looks don't tell you everything about a person and there's more to him than meets the eye.

character personality ,
personality: Now here's the part where appearance doesn't matter so much anymore. This is where you get to see the inside, not outside of Seth Michael Malinda, and let me tell you, it's not exactly very pretty. Ask anyone that knows Seth and if they're honest, they'll probably tell you that the guy isn't the nicest person at all. Seth is a jerk and he doesn't really mind when people call him one. Actually, it's more like a compliment when he hears it now, because he's heard so much and it doesn't affect him anymore. Then there's also the fact that he enjoys annoying people so if they call him a jerk, then that just means that he's doing his job right. Obviously, Seth is not going to try to annoy a guy that can beat him up to a pulp or someone that can get him a huge trouble like a police officer or a professional wrestler - not like he's ever had to deal with them, but still, the boy is smart enough to know that you can't try to piss off everyone. Actually, he's pretty smart when it comes to life things, but he doesn't try when it comes to school. Seemed pretty pointless to him and Seth never had cared about his future. As long as he had the family's money, what more did he need? Well, a lot, but he wasn't looking at those details.
Even with his friends, Seth can be a jerk which might explain why the guy doesn't have many friends to begin with. Of course, he's less mean with them, but not by much and his insults are more like for joking around instead of actually trying to hurt their feelings or whatever. With his friends, Seth can get in a lot of trouble, but they never do. Most of the time they get away with things, sometimes they don't, and sometimes, Seth goes solo. He enjoys challenging his friends to do stuff, like dares almost, but at the same time, they're unlike dares. More like something in the middle of a dare and a bet, however that works. Most of the time, he hangs out with his friends during school or at night at parties, because besides that, he's usually at home doing nothing. Nothing meaning watching television and procrastinating. He may not even do work at all, so procrastinating might not be the right word to describe it.
With girls, Seth may not be as much of a jerk with girls than he is to others, the reason probably because you can get girls if you push them away, unless they like the challenge of course, or they like jerks. In that case, all he has to do is be himself which just makes his job simpler than it usually is. Seth isn't one for relationships, since he doesn't like commitment. It seems difficult and boring to him, having to stay with just one girl all the time and unless that girl is perfect, they get boring and old quickly and trust me, no girl is perfect - at least not to Seth Malinda. Which is why he's known for his one night stands and just a few times when he's dated girls. Never really a time when he's in a real relationship. Who knows what he'll be known for once he gets to Valkyrie? Probably the same, but there's a chance that it won't be.
As if he wasn't bad enough to start with, Seth can be worse if he's dealing with someone he dislikes. Especially if that someone he dislikes is someone he couldn't possibly get hurt by like the professional wrestler we mentioned earlier. He'll go a great lengths to get revenge since that whole, "revenge is a dish best served cold" means absolutely nothing to him. It's just one of the quotes that his sister said, but she says lots of quotes for a reason unknown to him. Speaking of his sister, she's younger than him and he's got a lot of control over her which may be the reason why he didn't say anything when they're aunt used her as a slave, because she served him too. He didn't care for her and annoyed her more than anyone in his life because he could, which is also why Amber hates her brother with a passion. Not like he cares, because he doesn't care about much to start with.
Then there are those other things about him, those flaws and just everything else. There are a lot of flaws that Seth has, including how he's obviously an arrogant, cocky jerk, but everyone knows that. Then there's the fact that he has a lot of potential, but he doesn't care enough to do anything with it. The fact that he doesn't like relationships and commitment also isn't great with the girls. He doesn't care for anyone and gets in a lot of trouble - or he does bad things and gets away with it, both not good things at all. Believe it or not, there are good things to Seth, you just don't see it most of the time because there's not many positive things when it comes to his personality. He can be sweet sometimes when he really likes a girl, it's just that he doesn't 'like-like' a girl a lot, and if he does, it doesn't last for long. There were more when he was younger, but now, he just likes hot girls.
likes: girls. parties. annoying people. getting what he wants. booze. drums. sex. music. adventure. money. attention.
dislikes: his sister. rejection. being ignored. not getting what he wants. clingy people. work. people telling him that he can "do better". his flaws. being insulted. ultimatums.
flaws: he's a pretty big jerk and can be quite cocky and arrogant. instead of relationships and commitments, he prefer one night stands. annoying people is something he likes to do, which can never lead to any good. has no future whatsoever, because he doesn't care about it. actually, he doesn't care about anything.
habits: leaving a girl the morning after. getting people angrier than they were before. ditching classes. not doing work at all. getting in trouble.
strengths: he's smarter than you'd thnk, but doesn't try in school which would explain his 'just barely passed' grades. can be persuasive and convincing when he wants to. gifted with drums. pretty good atactinglying.
weaknesses: he's a jerk. cocky. arrogant. doesn't care about anything. doesn't try. can get jealous. being in a relationship or having to stay committed to something or someone.

character history ,
originated from: manhattan, new york.[/size]
parents: martin & tera malinda
siblings: amber malinda.
other: the malindas.
living situation: valks - because he would never stay in the shaks or dorms.
history: note; history is different in amber's application 'cuz i changed seth's age & a few other things.
The time Martin and Tera really met was for a class project. Tera wanted to kill herself since she was paired with some guy she didn't even remember from the detention a week ago. Even though she didn't remember him, one look at Martin and you could already tell the kind of guy he was. Since the project lasted longer than others, Tera actually started to like Martin [and the other way around] but she wouldn't let him or anyone else know that. But one day, he asked her out and she agreed [acting like it was just some random thing] but when her friends saw her with him, Tera just said that they were working on the project. Martin was okay with that, because that was just how high school worked.Soon enough, the two started dating more and more. Some people have seen even though they had kept it a secret, but nobody believed them. Everybody heard the rumors that was true, but nobody believed the people who saw - and even those people admitted that they most likely saw wrong. It just wouldn't be right if the two were dating. Just not right.
Somehow, word got out but things were fine. Surprising at first, but everybody knew that if they dare insulted Tera to her face, they would have to pay later. As time passed, people got used to Tera and Martin. Tera even got slightly nicer while Martin learned to be a little more outgoing and he even started to seem a little cuter to some other girls. But sorry, he's taken. High school came to an end, but their relationship never did. Tera and Martin went to the same college and still remained together. They learned to accept each other for their flaws and other things and were one of the most trustworthy couples. Before they knew it, Martin was proposing to Tera and of course she just had to say yes. Although nobody had thought that it would ever happen, this relationship turned out better than anyone would expect. The wedding came and Tera and Martin got married. It was such a happy family and a few months later, there was going to be another addition to the Malinda family [like it wasn't big enough]. Seth Malinda was borned in Manhattan, New York.
Martin and Tera Malinda took care of him, of course, no evil aunt quite yet. He was a good little boy that they loved and their lives were pretty quiet and normal. Then we he got a little older, Seth found out that he was going to get a little sister, but it turned out to be twins, which he still didn't know to this day. Yup, that was Amber and Olivia Malinda but nobody knew about the Olivia part. All he knew as a little boy was that he was getting a sister (which, at the time, still was confusing for him) and Seth thought that one of the two girls his mother brought home from the hospital had been his sister. Yes, only one. So it had just been a normal day for him when Olivia was gone because his parents got busy and let her aunt babysit her. If things went down in a dramatic way, he might have remembered it, but his parents didn't let him listen to any of it so it was just an average day for Seth and average days aren't easy to remember as you get older since they're just like any other, boring day.
Growing up from there, Seth and Amber were the only ones left, knowing and remembering nothing about Olivia and their parents kept it a secret of course. Their aunt? She didn't care one bit. They were little buddies, well, for a bit it was just Seth playing with his little sister, but once she got older, they seemed inseperable with those little sibling fights in between, but it was never anything big. Their parents' company was successful by now, and they were pretty much permanently left with their aunt even though their parents just called it 'staying at your aunt's house for a bit until we aren't as busy'. Let's just say that they would have been much better off if they were left to raise themselves. While their aunt wasn't making both of them do work, Seth was teaching Amber how to play the drums and they would practice anytime the aunt wasn't around. This went on for a while and both got better. Their lives were just okay, and Seth's life just got better as Amber was old enough to do some actual work. Once she was, her aunt made her do tons of things around the house while Seth was living in paradise. That was pretty much when he started to change and their sibling hatred began.
Throughout the years, Amber was forced to work more and more while Seth lived a great life with no work. His aunt spoiled him all the time while he treated Amber much more poorly, and even during the times when Amber had to do something stupid like mop the driveway, Seth said nothing and just made her do it more. Over the years it got worse and he treated his own sister as a slave, not like an actual sister. Their days of being inseperable and jamming together on the drums were over, for now Seth was even blaming things on his own sister. This continued on for a while, into middle school, and when he got to high school, nothing, absolutely nothing had changed except for the fact that he was bringing girls home doing things Amber didn't really want to know about and things his aunt didn't care about. He was coming home late from parties, drunk sometimes, his aunt wouldn't say anything. If Amber was late, eve a minute, she would be grounded. Things were pretty corrupted.
His enviroment changed him and the little good boy he was had changed majorly. He was someone his parents would have never wanted him to turn into, but it wasn't like they were ever around anymore to discipline him. Then came the day when Amber disappeared and although his aunt thought that she was just avoiding work, Seth noticed how most of her stuff was gone from her room and how her room looked like someone went through out to find something. At first, he considered the fact that she was kidnapped, but then he doubted it. It's not like he cared much so Seth just continued on with his life, his aunt hiring people to do her job for her. His aunt seemed to be more mad though and that meant that his life wasn't as happy and all good as it usually was. Soemtimes he had to do work, which he despised so he decided to check through his sister's stuff again. It was the only way for him to go back to his old life.
This wasn't something he figured out immediately though, but after a while, he decided to check the computer she used. It sucked, to be honest, but if she checked anything out online, that might be a clue. Eventually, he checked through her history to see that she found information about his cousin Samantha Malinda...and that she went to a site where you can buy plane tickets. From there, it was pretty easy for him. Just figure out where this 'Samantha Malinda' lived, which didn't take long, and then go there to find his sister. He told his aunt that he was going to just go to Valkyrie, no excuse needed and with no hesitation, she let him go. So here he was, in Valkyrie, enrolling at the middle, close to end, of the year to find his sister and bring her back to New York so that his life would be perfect once again. But even then, he wouldn't let it be that easy. Seth would give her a chance to stay, but whatever he came up with, it wouldn't be easy.
Now if he could only figure out what that 'chance' would be...

name one you like: that one about how we always give out cookies & cupcakes.
roleplay example: Of course this moment would be all perfect and fairytale-like. If it was like a fairytale, Jason and Brianna wouldn't be where they were now - just leaving the Valkyrie Jail. Well, technically, Jason was leaving the jail and Bee was just picking him up, but still. It's not like she was going to complain or anything, because if everything was perfect, things might get boring. One of the reasons why she loved and hated being around Jason was because there was always some kind of adventure with him. Always something going wrong, and she certainly hated that because who wanted problems in their lives? It was also good, because in her old life, there would still be gossip and rumors, no doubt there, but she always feel so bored. Sure, that may have something to do with the fact that she was 'a good girl', but that didn't matter. Ever since moving to Valkyrie, her life had been crazy, most of it having to do with Jason Lévesque, and although it could get crazy at times, she loved it. Which was why she just couldn't stay away from him. At least, not for long.
That much was pretty obvious. There had been times when Brianna had been away from Jason, and most of the time not for good reasons which may explained why their relationship was on and off, like that time when he left Valkyrie on his birthday after a fight they had. Before being with him, Brianna never really believed that on and off relationships really worked and that people who were in them were crazy, but now she understood why. Sometimes she couldn't stand to be with Jason, but it hurt too much to be away from him. And now, after not seeing him for what felt like years, she would gladly deal with that pain if it meant that he would never leave her again, because the pain of that was unbearable. Of course, she wouldn't tell him all of this, because it seemed to corny. Cheesy. "That's my girl." He would never know how his voice made her feel right now. That everything was falling into place. The pieces of the puzzle were put together. This feeling may not last for as long as she desired it to, but she would make the most of it. Oh, and Brianna wasn't planning on telling him that either.
"Wait. Somethings different.. I don't know what."
Raising an eyebrow, Brianna just looked back at him. "What are y-?" She never finished what she was planning on saying, because Brianna was distracted by the way he was looking back at her. Did she have food in her teeth or something? Maybe the wind majorly messed up her brown hair. Did she mess up her make-up? Brianna suddenly felt like something was wrong with her, but she didn't know what. That and she was confused. Apparently, she would never understand Jason. Or boys, for that matter. They were such a confusing gender, so hard to understand in her opinion. Then again, that's what they probably thought about girls, but she pushed that thought to the back of her mind. Now she was just getting distracted and thinking about random things which was just...random. If she only knew what he meant by that. Maybe it had nothing to do with her appearance and she wouldn't have to be freaking out about looking weird. This was suppose to be the moment when she saw Jason again and everything was suppose to be good and not thrown off by something embarrassing happening to her.
"Maybe it's been too long, but something is.. different."
Her raised eyebrow slowly lowered as she thought to herself, I guess the only reason I can understand what he's talking about is if I asked him, myself. Since it wasn't likely that she was going to figure this out herself and if she didn't know, it would probably bug her for the rest of the day. Kind of like a song Brianna heard, but couldn't remember the name of it - It would be bugging her until she figured it out. "Care to explain?" Brianna asked with a smile. "Because I'm not exactly sure what's different." She was about to wait for him to answer, but quickly added, "Do you think I got taller? 'Cause that would be totally awesome." It may have not been the best thing to say at the moment, but hey- Brianna felt as if she was pretty short and was it so bad to wish that she'd get taller?credit: format by lainey, lyrics by modest mouse
