Your Looks Lie, Boy
Truth is, Miles Giovanni totally had gotten the "boy next door" look going for him. He always has although when he was younger he looked far more awkward to the world. When he was a kid he was that ultra skinny kid with an oversized head and glasses. He looked like the kid, and still does sort of, who would be friends with anyone but was friends with basically no one. He still has that friends with everyone look because nowadays he is friends with all types of people. He looks far nicer than he is

It's Your Flare and Style, Boy
He doesn't dress in the highest fashions but he is no longer wearing the clothes that contributed to his teasing when he was a younger kid. His wardrobe consists of very casual clothes with the occasional tux or suit. He loves his suits and tux. He feels powerful and important in them. Also with his body type, the suits and well fit tux emphasis some of his features in a way that makes him a bit intimidating to look at and for the boy who was picked on and for the boy who feels he can never be too powerful, this was a great thing. No is usual attire consists of jeans and kaki pants, etc. Regular attire for most guys. T-shirts and jersey T's(like the one he's wearing in the picture), some jackets, etc. He keeps to relatively neutral colors and he tends to look rather good despite his casualness.

Oh You Lanky Lanky Boy
Miles Giovanni has never been and will never be and is not a muscle man. During his younger years he had been skinny and lanky with a large head but he has grown into his head and body for that matter. Miles is still thin but he's not the skinny kid skinny anymore. He stopped resembling DJ Qualls when he joined the swim team and started to gain some muscle mass even if it was not much. He will always be a tall guy. He was tall when he was born it seems like. At age seventeen when most men are about 5'10" Miles is towering at a lovely 6'2".

And Oh What a Face, Boy
Miles has the most adorable facial features. How such an ass attained such a cute goofball's face is beyond me but he does which works because he's known for being a charming goofball. He has soft green eyes. They aren't big or world record worthy but when he smiles they squinch and he looks really happy. His features give him really honest expressions and with the games he plays, that pays off. He has really small ears and a fairly small nose. Really for a guy he has rather miniscule features. Except his smile. He has a large and toothy smiles that when he smiles all out, which is rare but is known to happen, you can see all 32 pearly whites.

Personality:

Outward (but real) Personality
Miles is a fun guy to be around. He loves to laugh and he makes others laugh. Once he broke free from his socially awkward stage he became one of the popular guys. He is not the popular guy who's teasing the awkward kids though. He's the popular kid who is friends with the science nerd and cool with the AV club and debate club. Miles likes to have fun and be around friends. He is a complete goofball. Some of the things he says and references he comes up with are so random that people can not help but take a second look at moments. He's funny and witty and smart.

He's a swimmer and a bit of a jock. He loves to swim and he definitely has the swimmer body. It's just the rush of water against his skin. The calm that surrounds all sounds when he goes under the water. The soothing white noise of waves and splashes. The sun it can bring to all ages. The feeling of being weightless. To him, it's as close to flying as he'll ever get unless he gets sent up into space but by then he would assume they would have artificial gravity. That is another quality Miles is open about and honest about. And that's his drive. He is one of the school's top students. He wants to be part of an elite federal group and he probably will be. He likes to do his best, he likes to succeed but he takes his failures and learns from them. Wants to work for one of these:: FBI, CIA, NASA. Or he wanted to work in the White House next to the President and the way he's going he'll probably get there. He's a straight A student and is that guy voted "most likely to succeed" or "most likely to be a millionaire"

Outward Personality (the stuff he fakes for Image control)
Oh Mr. Miles seems like such the romantic. When he dates a girl he knows how to treat her which is why so many people seem to fall for him, yeah people not just girls. Since Miles seems so open minded many guys try to hit on him, but yeah no, Miles is straight, sorry guys. Miles is the guy who can give grand speeches on small details about his girlfriend. He will smile and say the he is the guy for her and list all the small reasons he knows its right. He can make a girl feel like they are in love((he will never say I love you, even if he's lying)). He'll quote movies, he will do anything he can to make her smile. He is what a lot of people see as the perfect boyfriend. On top of that, he is perfect for the parents to meet because when the situation fits he is proper and polite and charming, plus he looks like the all American boy(funny seeing as he's Italian and Russian).

Its hard to believe that the true Miles Giovanni is talented enough to have everyone fooled that he cares and is an honest and genuine guy. Oh to the world, Miles is a complete sweetheart. He is always there for friends to talk to and he is always there to lean on and not hold your words against you. He forgives like Jesus and hardly seems to sin. When he loses he loses graciously and congratulates the winner and it's impossible to hold a grudge. He knows about things both men and women are into and he never generalizes and he's one of the few truly nice popular guys in the world. He doesn't drink much and he never does drugs although he's friends with those who do all the time. When offered he simply says something like "No thanks I can have fun without, don't tolerate that stuff well, but you go ahead" Of course he really only says no because he doesn't want to lose control.

The Sad But Honest Truth
Oh he is a bastard man. It's not a lie that Miles is smart but he doesn't simply use his brain power for grades. He could get in A in AP Physics in his sleep. But his true genius is with secrets and manipulation. The personality described above is pretty much the perfect man, stereotypically speaking. The real Miles is as screwed up as they come. His server inferiority complex and obsession with control makes him the manipulative bastard. He has a sense of morality, he just doesn't care. He knows what he's doing is wrong and doesn't care which makes his betrayals just that much worse. He does a sick manipulation to make the other person ashamed of their own behavior and think Miles was a good guy for putting up with them. He had one true guideline to his life and that is "Control is good, to get control make all around you weaker than yourself while looking up to you" His goal is to make others weak.

He's the guy that When a drunk or high girl throws herself at him, he'll smile and take care of her. Make sure she does not hook up and hang out with her until morning to see if she's okay. Enforces peoples trust in him being the good guy. He'll ask her out, they'll go out a few dates, he's charming and sweet. They start dating. Hanging out a club he'll get her drunk and horny, pay a random guy((always an out of towner)) to take a pic of himself taking advantage of her and then "email" it to Miles. The guy who got paid is told Miles and his gf get turned on by her with another man. Miles can then break up with her, scorning her in front of people, and then "accidently" leave his email open for people in the computer lab to see, act horrified and apologetic when it gets out and offer to be there for the girl as a friend, leaving the girl still crushing on him, the rest of the school thinking he's this strong great guy and that the girl is a whore who now has a sexy pic floating around. Why would he do this? To see her face as guy whistle and tease, as girls shun, and the sweet irony as she thanks him for being so nice about it even he had to watch he cheat on him. And yes he actually did this, he's a sick bastard.

He might have one or two bitch/bastard friends who know what he's like and find it entertaining. These are usually pretty beasty ass people who are corrupt as well. These are rare and unlikely but he's human despite his droid like tendencies and he likes to have at least one friend who knows the truth, besides, in this world it is not hard to find another truly cruel human being. Miles is a cheat, a jackass, twisted and sadistic and it's only a matter of time before this guy who has the world thinking he's this charming, talented, respectable guy. He would rather sleep with a girl who thinks he cares about her so he can watch her be hurt when he shuns her or breaks it off with her, than with a girl he could sleep with without putting in an effort. He will not hit or rape a girl because those are two things that if the world finds out he can't twist to make it seem okay, rational or even the right thing to do. Although if he did rape a girl he could probably convince everyone she was lying, but she would know and that would bother him.

He isn't all bad, he had one really really weak spot. The teased kids. The awkward kids with glasses and big heads who are smart and interesting but because they are shy, or strange are sent home with black eyes. The ones with the father's that look at their sons like they are worthless because they didn't win a fist fight some one else started. The kid left out, he has a soft spot for. Most of his undercover cruelty is unleashed on the popular beautiful kids which of course are the kids he's closest with seeing as he is one of the popular kids now a days. But that is his real tender and sore spot. He hates seeing those kids beat up on, he was that kid and the reality was most of him was still that kid who's classmates would break his glasses and give him a bloody lip for the fun of it. It was those memories of the school yard mixed with his own father's bullying that made him into this manipulative bastard. Because even if what he does is wrong, even if he hurts people at the end of the day, no one can call him soft or weak. Not again.

Miles is never a violent guy, despite his familial connections to the mafia with parents who are in it as well as his deceased brother and and uncles and whatever people in his family. Now, Miles can hold a grudge like a bitch. His good opinion once lost is gone forever, even if the world thinks he forgives he will find away to hurt you, not with a bloody nose but with a destroyed reputation, with embarrassment, harassment, shame and the best tool for torture, guilt. He can make it so the more you love him the more you hate yourself and vice versa. I think the best way to realize this seemingly perfect guy is not for you is to realize that the person you are supposed to be with and your friends are supposed to bring out the best in you. Miles doesn't. Or he might, but he'll make it seem like he doesn't. He's good at what he does but he can never shake his family, they always end up shaking him and he hates it. And when he makes it into the FBI or the CIA or the SS, he will waste no time in coming out with the information and giving his mobster family to the governments hands. And when his father dragged to jail, Miles wants to be there so his father will know it was him, and know that Miles was anything but pathetic and weak. Miles wants his father to know, it's his weakling shameful son defeated him. Miles also has a lot of fear in him. He is not scared of much but what he is scared of he's terrified of. He is terrified of having no control of his life and he is best remind of this fear in small dark places, much like the lockers he was pushed into and the closets he was locked in for hours on end for punishment.

History:

Alfeo Giovanni was the second youngest son in a large Italian family. He has one older brother named Fausto and a crap load of younger siblings. Their father? He just so happens to be the boss of the family, this family of crime, Mobsters, all of them. A Mafia based in Los Angeles, California, over in the States. A family that recently set-base in Los Angeles to terroize the city within the organized crime the Giovanni family committed. Alfeo grew up in Fausto's shadow a bit but he admired him despite the small rivalry between the two brothers. So when Fausto went back to Italy for schooling, Alfeo went with him. Alfeo didn't go for a real education but to learn more about the Giovanni family history and the church. Alfeo became a very religious man in those times. And in fact if it had not been for the family business, Alfeo would have become a priest to be closer to their god. One day, after praying in the church for good fortune, he saw the perfect figure of feminism.

Her name was Alisa Tolstoy. She could speak no Italian but both knew English. She was from Russia and actually sent to Italy to meet the Giovanni's in place of her father. Her father just so happened to be a big time crime boss in St. Petersburg and an old friend of Alfeo's own father. Alisa was incredible, cool, collected, sexy. She wasn't like these other women in their flowy white skirts with flowers in their hair. No, she had sharp, small facial features, which unknowingly at the moment she would pass down to her unborn son, Miles. She was smart, educated and loyal. And as much as she tried to play it cool. She was completely taken by Alfeo and his religious strict demeanor. She was quite the devoted catholic as well. Now saying they were strong catholics did not mean they were against their family's business, quite the opposite really. They believed what they did God was alright with because they believed themselves and their families to be of a higher order than those they killed and cheated. Moving on, Alfeo asked her to stay in Italy for a bit longer, learn the language, spend time with him to which she coyly replied, "What did you think the plan was?"

With in two months the two were married and their parents thrilled. But as with every crime family, old fashion idealists, once she's his wife, she's his wife. She's under Alfeo when it comes to power. So instead of them going to Russia for her family or even compromising to stay in Italy, she came with him back to Los Angeles so he could work for his father and she could be his pretty trophy wife. He returned to LA within a year of leaving, Fausto on other hand remained to finish his schooling. Very very quickly she was pregnant. She gave birth to her first child whom to Alfeo's delight was a son, Alfeo named the boy Gregorio Panzani Giovanni after an old Italian Priest who ended becoming a Bishop. After some time Alfeo was informed of his older brother's engagement to an Irish woman. Alfeo had chuckled at first, an Irish woman, never but it was true. Fausto and Alfeo's father was not happy but gave consent none the less and as Alfeo and his alliance Wife and rather perfect son sat at his brother's wedding and as the Irish bride walked down the aisle Alfeo could not stop smiling, not because he was happy for his brother but because he felt he finally one upped his older brother.

After the wedding Alfeo, Alisa and Gregorio Giovanni flew back to LA. As small greg grew older, the prouder Alfeo became of his boy. When Greg was about six Alisa became preganant again and a few months after Fausto had his second son, Paolo, Alisa gave birth to a small boy... a very small boy. The birth ended up being Premature. The kid almost didn't make it and he almost killed his mother on his way out. This was the first screw up the new born child had in his father's mind, allowing Alisa to give the child his first name, Miles, a name his mother liked very much but that did not stop his father from giving him two middle names having his birth certificate read Miles Ludovico Sabbatini Giovanni. Ludovico Sabbatini being yet another Italian priests.

Growing up in a mafia family is not nearly as fun as it sounded, especially because the older his brother got the more perfect he got, when the older Miles got the more awkward he got. Miles as a kid even never had any baby fat. Skinny with a large head and farsighted by the age of five, he was quickly labeled the dweeb in school and by his own father. His father was brutal on poor Miles, and his mother hardly around. His best friend in the family was his brother who, although he was six years older would always defend his baby brother. Greg would beat on the bullies who beat on Miles. He would search the school until he found the locker Miles was shut in. Greg was like Miles protector. One night the six year old miles, after being rescued from bullies outside he front door by his 12 year old brother and getting scolded by his father being called pathetic, yelled at his older brother. He was so angry at Greg for all the wrong reasons. He told his twice his age brother that he didn't need his protecting and that greg needed to get out of his life.

The next day Greg was killed. The family was doing its job and making a deal when a drive by shot at Alfeo's family. They failed at hitting Alfeo but succeeded in shooting and killing his first born son which in the mafia world was probably worse. Miles felt lost without Greg but not nearly as lost as his father did. Alfeo did not take the death of his perfect son well and constantly went on and on about how god took the wrong son. Miles can't count the number of times he heard his father say Miles should have been the one under the bullet not gregory. Alfeo became really hard on Miles. As punishments for the smallest things, dropping food, stuttering, tripping, crying out in pain when a bully at school punched him, Miles would have two write notebooks and notebooks filled with lines "I will not be weak" "I will not be weak" etc. Over and over. Alfeo when very angry would lock Miles in a small cupboard like hole in the wall, those old pulley systems? ((like in the Sixth Sense when the kids push him into the shoot, one of those.)) Miles would be in those for long periods of time and although Alfeo never did more than slap Miles, the abuse came through loud and strong.

Miles learned to control his own actions practically perfect, even though his father could always find on more thing wrong with him especially after seeing Fausto's son Paolo. Fausto and his wife and kids moved to LA for the family business and although the two brothers, Fausto and Alfeo were happy to see each other, Alfeo could not help but feel the same jealousy he use to have as a kid. Alfeo, after Greg's death, no longer had the oldest of their father's grandchildren anymore, Fausto did. And Alfeo's second born was a weak, meek pathetic spec of human life as fausto's second born was intelligent and rather mature for a ten year old boy. Paolo and Miles did not chum around but nor were they even bitter rivals, or enemies. In fact, when together, Paolo was never mean to Miles and Miles never seemed to hold any resentment but that's to Paolo's eye. Miles was anything but alright with his cousin. Not because Paolo did anything wrong but because of Paolo and his own father. Fausto seemed proud of Paolo when he did something well. Miles earned straight A's. Everything Miles did he would keep doing until he perfected it. He had perfect table manners and yet Alfeo hated him. Miles was jealous of Paolo and his father's relationship and angry that now whenever Alfeo was angry instead of "Greg wouldn't have done that" it became, "why can't you be more like Paolo"

After 8th grade, Miles decided to make a major change and he informed his parents of a prestigious school in Valkyrie California. Alfeo was all too happy to let the fool go to boarding school and off he went. As soon as Miles stepped on the Valkyrie ground he got contact lenses, new clothes and tried out for the swimming team(the only sport he's good at). Within a year he had become a popular kid and he was surprised in actuality how simple it was. He still hated so much though. He hated the popular kids he was friends with because he knew they were the kids giving him bruises when he was younger and he hated that they controlled the view of himself and Miles began to use his problem solving for his own benefit and personal amusement. He became more and more manipulative and cold. He kept getting better at what he did and he enjoyed the power he held whilst everyone around him looks at him like he's perfect. He loved being away from his father's shadow, his brother's ghost and he was very disappointed when he learned that Fausto and his kids and wife were moving to Valkyrie in his sophomore making Paolo and him classmates. Peachy aint it? At least by then Miles was already one of VA elite. But Miles still can't help but hold a dangerous resentment towards his rather gallant and gentleman like cousin, to which many ladies swoon to.
