appearance: coming in at an average 5'5", at sophie's age, she's quite normal. of course, this is now runway model height, which is why she is more editorials than she is on the actual runway. guess it comes in handy if your mother is a fashion show and you get put in her shows, huh? but, her unique face gives her her modelesque appearance. with long brown hair, sophie thinks that is one of her defining features. it must be a castellanos thing to not have your hair combed, because we all know petros' permanent jbf hair, sophie herself doesn't spend much time on her hair everyday. half the time someone does her hair for her, so no surprise when she's fit to do her hair however she likes she doesn't do much. she's kind of a free-spirit like that, she'll leave it down, even if there are strands that are flying around.
we'd have to say, though, that her eyes are her defining feature. she has very unusual light blue eyes that can appear gray or even light green in some photos. but they are blue, just a clear blue. even if her face appears smaller than most, she has a set of very full lips and from being out in the sun so much, she has a few freckles that she covers up with some make-up sometime. and everyone knows lainey is not much of an appearance person because i am already on my last topic, her style, so maybe this will be a tad longer, probably not. sophie kinda goes with trends, obviously, but sometimes she doesn't. she wears a lot of flirty dresses, tunic tops. she looks pretty fashion-forward with her gladiator sandals, but you know, on the grand scale of it all, she doesn't care that much for her appearance and clothes off working. because when she is working, all she cares about is what she looks like. clothing of course has nothing to do with her own body issues. she might feel horrible what she looks like in something, but ends up wearing it anyway because she might have to. she wasn't as extreme as some other anorexic cases have been, since she only recently picked up the habit of just not eating, but she does look in the mirror more often and study herself, picking out things she believes is wrong with her.

spontaneous , she does things on a whim. she's been growing up being the youngest. the one that everyone had to look out for. sophie was a crazy child, afterall, she was following petros around. she often jumps into things before she things of the consequences, which resulted in someone getting her out of trouble she created. she can't help but put a smile on your face when she's cooking dinner and dancing to whatever is playing on the stereo. going places with her brother, it gave her that added spunk people are so use to see in sophie. while petros is cussing up a storm at the paparazzi as the sibling go to their car after a dinner in the city, sophie would be close behind, simply giggling since she was just happy to have people wondering what her life was like. yes, sophie, the greek heiress, was enjoying people prying into their lives. most recently, around the world, driving and walking around with her model friends, she's been becoming more like her brother and adding her own twists of things that make her her, such as tripping to the car, holding conversations with with paparazzi, and giving the shutterbugs more or less a show. you see, she doesn't think before she goes off and does things.
intelligent , when you are attending the most expensive schools in the country, whether you like it or not, you are getting a hell of an education. hardly street-smart at all, sophie makes up with her shy intelligence. she's not the first to raise her hand, or the second, i'll stop before we keep guessing. she's kinda lazy. she may know the answer, but just doesn't care if she says it out loud. she doesn't exert her intelligence at all, which surprises a lot of people when she does have an excellent answer she's forced to say. people just tend to think she's more beauty than she has brains.
flirty , she'll laugh at your jokes, casually touch your arm, and compliment your good looks, even if she has no intention of getting with you at all. she often uses the flirting with some persuasion to get what she wants. really can be anything like getting her some food to buying her some jewelry. her reputation in greece is a bunch of assumptions. sophie is flirty, yes, but doesn't hook up with every boy she flirts with. yes, she's a virgin, and yes she plans to stay that way until she us married, but she just goes with the rumors, there's only so much you can deny right? besides, she believes since her brother is so out-of-control that it runs in the family, so whatever, the press believes anything these days.
honest , growing up her parents looked to her for the truth. 'did petros start the fight?' yes. sophie is a very open book, straight forward gal. no beating around the bush with this one. she simply just tells it like it is, and doesn't see the point in lying when she'd feel guilty about it afterward only to confess later on. while her brother was off screwing around, she was gaining a strong trust bond with her parents. who knew that she would test that honesty by lying to her parents and runaway to valkyrie, right? now, she's only been lying to cover up her other lies?
sassy , all the second generation hayes kids have it, that one trait that makes you go 'whoa, i'll come back later.' daphne has revenge, diem has smarts, chanel has bitchiness, sacha has toughness, and petros has the last word. sophie, has sass. she is very lively, and has quip. she wasn't taught much manners as a kid, so she sometimes talk backs to her parents, and even teachers. disrespectful? yes. is it because of her wealth? no. don't mistaken her as a snobby rich kid, because the money really doesn't matter to her. maybe it's because she's a bit independent she she really doesn't take crap from anyone but herself. crazy that she's still the sweetest girl right? just an ugly trait that she doesn't even know she has.

pre sophie; We all know Elene Hayes comes from one extensive family including Daphne & Sacha's father, her brother Derrik. Then there is Chanel's mother, or her sister, Ree-Ann. We could go on forever with the Hayes' large family producing well-known cousins residing in Valkyrie. Elene was the oldest of the girls. Always interested in fashion and wanting to become a famous designer. When Elene met Orion, she was already an established designer. Orion was a young business owner of the mega-million dollar shipping company, his father recently passed away, causing Orion to take it over before any of the greedy realatives did so. They were the same age and they started dating when they were both twenty-eight. Orion didn't some from an extremely big family. Most of his family were only out to get the money from the shipping company. But, the Hayes' opened the young and rich Castellano into their family. They were famous in their respected fields. A fashion deisgner and a tycoon. They were married in Athens when they were thirty one and well the Greeks sure know how to throw a wedding.
birth/infant/child; Elene and Orion tried endlessly to have a child in their first couple years of being married. They kept trying, but they kept failing. Then suddenly, their schedules became extremely busy and they hardly had any time together. Elene was travelling the world and they weren't spending as much time together. They were actually on the brink of divorce when Elene's father died of a heart attack. It was sudden and no one expected it. Elene cancelled the rest of her fashion tour and came home. Getting off the plane, Orion was waiting for her. It was one of those airplane cliche reunions. But the death of Elene's father brought them back together and they didn't take their marriage for granted. One year later, Elene gave birth to a boy, Petros Judas Castellano.
Elene took a little break from the fashion industry to raise Petros. They had a good income regardless if Elene took a break or not, so money was always never an issue. Even if her brother and sisters were travelling the world, setting camp up in America, or stopping over at their house, they were always keeping in contact with each other. To say the least, both Elene and her sister Ree-Ann did not like their younger brother's wife Maria, who he suddenly married when she found out she was pregnant, no more than a year after Petros was born and Ree-Ann recently had her third child, Chanel. Then, Derrik and Maria went off and moved to the States where Elene and Ree-Ann were forced to call their little brother. Eventually, Ree-Ann and her husband, Marcus moved away and to Iowa. Somewhere in the breeding of the many Hayes' second generation, Elene had a daughter. Sophie Persephone Castellanos, quite a name, right? A couple years later when Petros was only four and Sophie was two, there was news that Maria left Derrik in the dust, taking one of the twins and leaving Daphne and Diem in the care of Derrik. So then, all the Hayes' family hated the ex wife.
Sophie grew up full of life, happy, and always laughing. She was Petros' shadow and followed him everywhere. It didn't really seem like Petros cared, he liked someone following him around and Sophie has to be the only girl that make Petros a softie. Sophie grew up knowing she was wealthy, unlike Petros, she didn't let it get to her head. Even if her mother dressed her up in all the latest fashion by all the most expensive designers, Sophie would rather wear the same jeans three days in a row. But, Sophie was the only daughter to Elene and she tended to dress her up in cute little outfits and take her about town. Going to fashion shows really opened Sophie's eyes to fashion, and you could say that was when she first got into fashion.
teen; Sophie actually ended up looking like one of those awkward, slightly tall, kind of lanky girls when she turned thirteen. Sophie started to view herself differently and started caring a little bit more about her appearance, spending a bit more time in front of the mirror and watching what she ate. Going to fashion shows were now what Sophie looked forward too. Her mother even let Sophie be the face for her new teenage line. Then, Sophie was sold; she wanted to be a model.
When she told her mother this, her mother was reluctant. She was what the modeling industry did to models, and she thought Sophie was too young to get into that. But, Sophie argued that if she wanted to be successful, she had to start now. Well, Sophie got her mother there, so Elene agreed to have Sophie just do things in-town, no shows, but more fashion spreads. Hey, that was good for Sophie. She was excited for getting into something she wanted to do. Petros could go and crash cars because Sophie got to model. Well, as 'local' as she was, she was getting small buzz among some agencies. Elene's teen line did great and Sophie's face was plastered everywhere for that campaign. When she was fifteen, she was approached to spend the next year to go to various fashion shows and fashion spreads around the world. She wanted to go so bad, she had to beg and plea her parents. Petros was somewhere in France at a boarding school, so she was able to part with Athens. Her parents, starting to get busy, agreed. Thought her around the world would be a good chance for her to really see it. So, Sophie was pulled from her school and set up and away to her first stop; Madrid.
She soon found the cattiness other girls showed to her. There were half a dozen girls her age as well as older than her, but these were the people she was have to get to know and at least try and be friends with for the next year. Sophie was always a friendly person, and she did have a few girls warm up to her. She could say she was all about the competition, but she wasn't. Maybe that was why six months into it, she wasn't chosen to be in a fashion spread and show. So, she wasn't working for two months. In those two months she went to Athens, really deflated but ended up trying out for a small role in a movie filming in Greece. It was a horror film and she was onscreen for a whole five minutes where she ultimately died, but she thought it was fun and people in Athens were excited to see her die in the film [ very paris hilton in house of wax ] Then it was back on the road ( or air,) and she was flying to Tokyo, where she picked up a nasty habit.
Since she didn't stick to a strict diet having her two months off, her manager basically told the 110 girl she was fat. She was booked for a few weeks but when she complained to her few friends they told her that she should just stop eating. Sophie knew that it was an eating disorder and she told herself she wouldn't do that stuff if she got into modeling, but even if you say you won't do that to yourself, when you face yourself with it, it's hard. Sophie stopped eating. It was hard at first but her friends told her it would get easier, and eventually, it did. She celebrated her sixteen birthday with some other model friends in Moscow, though they didn't eat. Rather they drank some alcohol and smoked. When Sophie was in Amsterdam, they did some drugs. In the back of her head, she knew this was completely wrong, but it had become so much of a lifestyle, that she couldn't quit.
Well, she quit for herself and on a runway show in Rome, she collapsed. Sophie was rushed to the hospital where her parents were notified and the doctors discovered the sixteen year old wasn't eating. This was her mother's worst fear and Sophie was crying when her parents came. When she was released from the Rome hospital she went back to Athens and immediately went into a anorexic recovery program. She was being forced and monitored while eating. She felt like a baby and she wanted her brother with her. Her parents called him and told him what happened, but they told Sophie that he was in Valkyrie to finish off his Senior year. Sophie wanted to be with her brother. So, over the course of a month and a half after collapsing on the runway, she devised a plan. She told her parents she wanted to get out of Athens, she didn't like what the tabloids were saying about her. Sophie said she called Grandma Castellanos , and she was going to Patras, Greece for the rest of school. Sophie, the perfect honest Sophie, told her first major lie. Her parents agreed, and Sophie was on a plane to Patras. When she got off the plane from Patras, she boarded another one to Valkyrie. No one knows that she never went to Grandmas and Petros has no idea that their parents think she's at Grandmas. Sophie's lies are bound to catch up to her, but when?
