Above is the Miles we know and love but as everyone knows I have been having some strong issues with him. Something about the character makes him average to write for but impossible to get excited for. I never felt like playing him. Part of me didn't know if I was going to bring him back after the hiatus I put him on. He didn't feel right. And I couldn't find a face that I thought would suit him and the lack of Topher pics bother me. I have more available of topher than Donny as Colin Hanks but Donny muse has never been an issue and I realize Colin Hanks is the only pb I'm attached to enough to not change his face and I still almost did but I digress. The point is Topher Grace as Miles is going bye bye and honestly when you read about some of the character changes he'll be going through, I think you might agree with me that the new face works just as well, if not better. Plus Topher just does feel like the Miles I have in mind you know?

Now I know, BIG change in style but Ben has the stare, a smirk to him but he also has qualities that the changed Miles will need. Now, no worries, I'm not turning him into the carefree, fun, almost Giovanni, Emilio who used Ben's face. And for those of you are worried about the face fitting Miles past well, imagine ben with short hair, glasses and braces. He can pull off dork which is what Miles started as but then when he became a swimmer and started wearing contacts he rose in popularity, Ben can fit that. The most important is that he fits the now.... or soon... I guess lol.
So, the changes. I already mentioned I want some plot to go down in which Miles is revealed for the bastard he is. Still need to be figuring that part out, will ask for help further down. But after he's found out, his family (probably excluding Paolo lol) is actually a bit impressed. Now Miles has always had a thing against his family because his father and the people always seemed to be ashamed of him, thought of him as weak, very disinterested, it was part of why he felt the need to prove his strength, no matter who he hurt. Anyways, his father (and Fausto, if it's cool with lainey) are actually impressed that Miles was able to do all this shit and never get caught, never let people catch on. They start thinking he actually has some potential. Miles wants to get out of Valkyrie and they decide he's actually worth something so he is sent to the family in Italy. That'll be his hiatus time, which will be much shorter than I originally planned because now I am getting excited for him. yay for miles excitement that I never feel suddenly poofing into existance! So off to Italy where he is submerged in family history(mafia history), traditions, he's taught and thing about mafias is that once they like you, they treat you pretty well, unless you go against them of course. It's like the CIA, once you're in, they take care of you for life, or they kill you. After maybe a month or two, Miles comes back. He will not be apologizing or trying to make amends or anything. He comes back to work. Before I was sort of leaning for Miles to become like a corrupt CIA agent or something but I already have tony for government law agency so... even if Tony's not corrupt, whatever point it, Miles is basically completely into the Italian Mob now. He learned respect for his father and Fausto, he is loyal to them. Basically here's a list of things in his personality that are changing vs. staying the same.
Changes::
• He has loyalties to the mafia
• becomes a family man
---- will drop grudge against paolo because he's blood although paolo might have one against him now, who knows, that's up to lainey
• no longer hides who he is
• less conniving
• no longer has any undying hatred and/or grudges
• laughs more
Staying the Same
• non-apologetic
• still ruthless when it comes to getting what he wants, he just has new goals now
• lacks a fair amount of morality
• protects those he cares for
I would love for to get his first kill, don't know if I want to do it as a plot on the site, or just have it be while he's over in Italy or something.
So there you go. Now, and this is important, I need your help. You guys, yes you. I need to figure out the plot that reveals him to the world. Right now, only one person knows what kind of bastard he is, and that's Melanie Bell. The people of course who pop to mind when I think of Miles plots are Bevin, Melanie, Paolo and Samantha. Although honestly I have no clue how to involve them all since Bev and Mel are unrelated to Saolo. I could also see the possible Bebbie pregnancy setting him off, angry getting the best of him and making a mistake because of it, I don't know! lol. My mind is like lost on what could happen to get him to be found out. Mel could of course tell people, but he'd have to be caught doing something for most to believe her. lol I keep having this image of Bev, Miles and Saolo looking so surprised slash angry and then out of no where Mel popping in out of no where and going "told you so" in chibbi form. lol.
Anyways, yeah, I need your guys help to figure out that plot but tell me what you think of the changes to him as well. I love opinions.

woo, i'm happy that miles is coming back! he is epic and made of win and i've totally wanted to plot more with him. and ben barnes... mmm. <3 that boy is yummy. and i can totally see him as miles. haha. picturing him with short hair, glasses and braces made me laugh out loud. <3 so i think this is a great idea. (: it's fun to get excited for characters, isn't it? and ooh, we must come up with some sort of epic plot. hmm, maybe he does something bad while melanie's in his presence or something and she decides that enough is enough, she's got to give some people a heads up. so she could tell bevin and whoever else and they could not believe her. then maybe miles finds out about the possible bebbie pregnancy and tries to do something drastic, like you mentioed? i don't know. we could plan out some sort of big showdown, because those are always super fun. sorry if this was super unhelpful, but i tried.
