appearance:
Well, now in the appearance sector of Tony's life, he was definitely given an advantage being born a full-blooded Giovanni. It's good genes I tell you, there isn't one ugly or even average looking person in the bunch. Even the older, meaner men tend to be hot. One of his older brothers, his nephew Miles father, was spitting image of Denis Quaid. Yeah, see what I mean? These good genes did not skip over Tony either. The boy is definitely the type to catch a woman's eye when he walks by, or gay man, I don't judge. It doesn't help that his day to day attire is a suit and a badge. Only because he is a bit of a workaholic and spends much of his day on duty as an FBI agent. When he has free time and time to just chill out and relax he is not a suit man in the slightest. He tends to be very casual. Jeans and t-shirts is pretty much the extent of his wardrobe outside of his work attire. If he ever has to go somewhere nice, his clothes for work will suit just fine. He just isn't much of a fashion guy but it's not like he'd go to the Gala in sweatpants. Actually sweatpants happen to be one article of clothing he actually tells himself not to buy, for some reason he feels they are ridiculous looking and yeah, to him it'd be like walking around in the creepy burger king costume.
Tony has this look to his features. It's as though he's a million different people in one. One might not guess it if they came across him in the interrogation room that his facial expressions are what make him look and feel like the man his is. When he is angry, the furrowed brow and the stiffened jaw, make him look almost like a rock. When he's furious, his eyes narrow and appear sharper and as he stern lecturing changes into outright yelling he can look frightening at many levels. And yet when he has a millions smiles. He has a flirtatious smirk, an "ive nailed you" smirk for scum bags he catches, he has a smirk when he's being cocky. He has a smile when he's pleasantly surprised. A smile when he sees an old friend, a smile when he's proud, a different smile with Anya, a different smile when he is amused and yet another for when he feels happy. His face is soo expressive. He knows how to control it at his job but in his day to day life not so much. Anyone can tell what he's thinking, perhaps not the details but they'll know when somethings wrong or when he's happy about something, even when he tries ever so feebly to conceal it.
Now, apart from the expressions his facial features can perform, what are his features actually like? What does this dedicated FBI agent look like? How well does he keep himself up? How do I go on about explaining these?? Let's start at the top shall we?
His hair, yeah when I said 'top' I meant top. Tony was not born with the truly dark italian hair most of his brothers and family members were given. No, his hair was a more medium to dark, chocolate brown. But it remained just as thick and corse as his family's past looks had implied. He keeps it short, not being one for the free spirited, un-showered look males with long hair usually have to their appearance. No he keeps it short and rather clean cut. Thankfully no buzz cuts have ever made it to this man's head though because yikes. His hair is just enough to grab and mess up and have it still look cute, bed-head, sex-hair, however you want to describe it. It works for him. He does have a very short trimmed beard and mustache. No handlebars or knockers or over greased goatees. It's just a bit of over growth he keeps on his face, a bit more than simple stubble but not by much and again, it works for him. Tony has the dark giovanni eyes. Big, round dark chestnut colored eyes on either sides of the bridge of his nose.
His skin is clear and clean but it is not perfection by any means. He has scars on multiple area's of his body. His worst scar being on his left side on his abdomen from being shot once on a case. His second worst scar was one on his lower back, which came from a shard of glass he had been thrown into by one of his brothers ever so long ago. He was 8-ish at the time I think. He has an insane amount of light freckles all over his face. Seriously, from a distance you can't even tell, from a small distance he looks like he just doesn't have a smooth skin tone or like he's a slightly rough picture, up close he has millions of freckles. Many girls he's met found them adorable lol. As for how he takes care of himself the answer is well. He has to stay fit for the job and all the field work. He keeps himself very fit. He's not body builder being naturally skinny but he does have a fair amount of muscle and toning to his build that he works for and he works to keep.

character personality ,
personality:
Tony, when you first meet him, is just so normal. He's friendly, fun, a bit sarcastic. He loves hanging out and having a good time. He is not a crazy drug addict, has no mental illnesses, he is not suicidal... he's just a guy, a good guy. Tony is the kind of guy that makes the perfect best man, he'll support you, help you with cold feet and make sure you have strippers at you bachelor party. He might not be your average guy the more factoids you get to know about him but over all, he's not that different than the guy who tailgates at base ball games. In fact, he IS that guy. Tony, just like the average male, loves his sports. He loves watching, he loves playing. Football and Baseball are his sports. During football season, all you can always catch him, on a sunday afternoon, with some guys from work, drinking beer, having pizza and spilling popcorn all over the couch when a touch down is scored. Baseball season, he loves to go the games and tailgate off the back of a truck, barbeque while watching the game, etc. He is that guy trying to explain life lessons through sports metaphors. But above football, above baseball, above all other sports, hockey is his number one. He's never been to Canada but he still caught that bug somehow.
Another thing that's incredibly important to him, is family. This may seem strange seeing as he ran away from his but he was raised to believe in the family dynamic. So while he might not have a large family set in by blood anymore, he made his team, his friends, and of course Anya. He made his own family through friendship and bonding. For the first few years after he ran away, he felt horribly guilty because he felt he had lost his family. It wasn't until he got to know his now adopted daughter that he truly understood that his family hadn't been a family for a long time before he ran away. He made his own version of a family and that was what was important. But one day, far from now, he does want to do the real settled family thing. He doesn't think he does but he does. He's fantastic with kids. He's like an uncle to many of his friend's kids.
While Tony does care a great deal for family, there is one thing he understands well. Doing the right thing. It's what drove him away from his family in the first place. It is what ended his reign as the favorite baby in the family. Morals. Tony has a strong sense of morality. He truly believes in doing what's right at all times. He understands that the law can be corrupt at moments but he also believes that MOST of the time, in these modern times, that the laws set in place are far. And he is not one to be soft when it comes to crime and punishment. If a man rapes a girl he should be in prison for life, not four years and then out with good behavior. Tony is not pro-death penalty though. The legal system always makes mistakes and if new evidence comes forward that proves innocence but they're already dead... yeah, not good, makes the law as bad as the murderers. But what it comes to things like typos on warrants getting drug dealers off with a slap on the wrist, he finds that stupid. If you do the crime, you should be punished. It's part of his job to think like that but my god he believes it. He left his family because he wants to help people, not screw them out of their money before leaving them for dead or murdering them.
Thing about his job is that he loves helping people but he sees things and deals with things every day that most of the people in society can just ignore and look away from. Serial murderers, rapists, child molesters, child porn industry, underground sex slavery, it's what he deals with all the time and he needs to have the ability to not take everything to heart if he wants to stay clear minded and sane and actually have a chance to help anyone. He's just worried that he'll compartmentalize so much so that he will cease to feel anything for these people and he'll lose his drive. So far, his job has simply made him protective. He knows what's out there and he knows how common it actually is. When it comes to Anya, he is very protective. Needs to know where she is 24/7, shows her dates his gun collection as a welcome. He just wants to protect those he loves from the world he faces every day.
Now, no matter how moral Tony is, everyone lies. While the FBI knows who he is and his history, he told them that his father hadn't allowed him to come along on deals since he was a little child. He told the Bureau that he had never actually witnessed his father or tight knit family members pull off any illegal deeds. Telling them this meant he didn't have to testify against him brothers or anyone. It was a lie and honestly, it eats him up inside because he thinks most of his blood relatives deserve to be locked up, Tony just wasn't strong enough to be the one to do it. This is the fuel of most of his angry and self hatred if he has any. It's those damn family values that got drilled into his head. But if they come after him and Anya, I swear to you, he'll got the FBI without hesitation. Anya's more his family than they were.
While he was open to making his own family of friends with in the Bureau, he is very careful with women he becomes close to. His life is dangerous. He doesn't want to marry and leave someone a widow within the first year. He doesn't want to fall in love with a girl, and then have his enemies attack her. He just... he's scared, and he doesn't want to let people close to him. He dates, he hooks up, after all, he's a young healthy guy, he'll have a girlfriend but the most common reason for them breaking up is always his inability to talk to the girl or let them in. No, as far as he was concerned, his heart was closed to romance in order to protect them.

history:
Alberto Giovanni was not a man the world would want to cross. He wasn't a man anyone would want to cross. He was a broad burly Italian man with an accent as thick as butter. He was intimidating in his younger years because of his strength and as he got older and gained rank, he became even more intimidating in his older years. Ranks? Well, Alberto Giovanni became the Boss of the Italian Mafia. I know, people see this as unrealistic. Many people who live in towns that aren't touched by the mobs, think that they're these elusive, non-existant people but they are very real. Even in the small towns. Go to Burmingham, Michigan, yeah, that ritzy little town and ask some people around. The mafia is very real. Go to some neighborhoods of New York City, the Irish Mafia is very real as is the Russian Mob. These large organized crime units are dangerous, powerful and virtually untouchable. Arrest fifteen they'll have another twenty fly over from Europe within twenty-four hours. And Alberto Giovanni ran it all. He lived in a mansion in Los Angeles and he adored his wealth, his cigars and the fact he was in charge. But he was in charge. And everyone knew it, including his wife. His wife's name was Monica. She was a childhood friend of Alberto's since they were little kids growing up in Venice. They had sort of always been intended for each other and while they might not be in some epic romantic plot, they liked each other well enough and his wealth and power suited her well. Her beauty, pure Italian breeding and complacency suited him perfectly. For this family, it was a match made in heaven.
The two were married when Monica was 16 and Alberto was 20 years old. Obviously he wasn't the boss of anything at that age but was well on his way. They married once she was pregnant and her parents agreed to it. Monica gave birth to their first child. To Alberto's disappointment, it was a girl. They named her Rossanah. Her birth had been an accident but he loved her none the less. He was a family man, through and through. Mafia families usually were. It's family above anything and divorce was unheard of. Affairs on the males part on the other hand, was expected. So that's what Alberto did. He never fell in love with the other women but he did feel stronger sexual passion for most of them than he did for his wife, who served the role of an ornament and breeder than an actual lover. Monica honestly didn't mind, she liked being left alone for the most part. She liked being able to spend her wealth and take care of her daughter. She enjoyed the life and she knew about his affairs. After about three years of Alberto focusing on his career, Monica was pregnant again. He was once again disappointed but still lovingly staring down at another new born girl. It wouldn't be for another two years when Alberto got what he wanted, a boy. A boy they named Fausto. Later, this boy would become the new Boss. The years rolled by and one by one Alberto's family grew. Alfeo was next, then salvatore, santino, vito, beatrice...
As the couple grew older with they're children and they're children having children, Monica, at age 47 had one last surprise, Alberto was estatic to see yet another boy. This child they named Antonino Cason Giovanni. The baby boy was fawned over a bit. He was a very pleasant child. About a year later, Fausto's wife gave birth to a boy whom they named Alberto Jr. after the kids grandfather. Alberto sr. couldn't have been more proud. Well, maybe if Fausto's wife was a nice Italian girl instead of Irish but still, he had a grandson and boy to keep his name going. But our story is about the youngest of Alberto Sr.'s children, Antonino, quickly nicknamed Tony, a name he keeps being called today. Which he likes, makes him feel like a baseball player. Anyways, he never really went through a terrible two's stage always very pleasant to be around but he became a quick favorite of many of his older siblings fought over baby-sitting but noticeably the baby boy's favorite was his oldest brother, Fausto. Tony lived in L.A. with his parents during the year but they would go to see Fausto and his wife and kids in the Summers. When Tony was four, Fausto had yet another child, a baby boy named Paolo. An infant Tony loved pretending was his brother. With such a vast age difference between Tony and his siblings, he always felt more sibling-ish with his nieces and nephews.
During the winters and falls spent in L.A. with his father as Tony grew older and older, he was trained. Mostly with the gun. Boy was a little natural. And he loved it. At seven, when asked what he wanted to do on his birthday, his response was he wanted to go to the shooting range. By ten he was almost a dead shot. Also during his childhood times in L.A. he met a girl. Childhood friendships, puppy love, whatever you want to call it. Her name was Sarai. She was two years younger and when they met and as they grew older he only ever saw her as sister. It wasn't until he hit about 15-16 he started to feel for her, feelings which he denied strongly. But that's getting ahead of the story because really it was when he was twelve years old when the whole direction of his life changed. It was the moment where what he wanted in life changed, how his family treated him, changed. Up until that point, Tony was the beloved baby in the family, the youngest of the Giovanni siblings, the cute one, the agreeable one, the one with amazing talent with a gun which seemed great for them at the time. But when he was twelve, the Irish mafia set a trap. They kidnapped him. Pretty risky move on their end, stealing the son of the Alberto, head of the Italian Mafia but they did and were holding him for ransom. While his family devised a plan, the FBI were executing one, having tracked an Irish member who had slipped up and they got to him first.
So young Tony was rescued by the FBI. Tony didn't give them more than his nickname, or why the Irish chose him. He was a good trained little mafia kid, so they didn't know who to give him back to until people came forward to claim him. They held him there and being just a twelve year old kid, they didn't treat him like a criminal or even really a victim. Tony spent those 72 hours eating pizza, playing video games and killing the guys in poker in a holding house. It was fun, he learned about their jobs and honestly, it appealed to him. Up until that point, Tony hadn't been against his families work since he had never known anything else but he had never felt any particular excitement or passion for it. The more time he spent with these agents the more he enjoyed his time there, he missed his family but he was finally starting to understand what the Mafia was in relation to the rest of the world. He loved the strong sense of family but he loved the strong fraternity and feeling of a team against the evil that the FBI had too. After a few days, he was released to his family. The FBI then realized who the boy must be but since it, like always, they didn't have the evidence, they couldn't pin his dad and he had to be released. When saying good bye, the agents gave him a little fbi badge, a pat on the head and a warm send off filled with words that reminded him, he chose who he became, not his family. That little FBI badge became his favorite possession. Things seemed to have gone back to normal for the family but they started to notice that when playing cops and robbers, tony ALWAYS wanted to be the cop. They noticed his favorite movies becoming more and more FBI or police force oriented. It started to worry Alberto.
He tried to bring Tony along on more deals but Tony no longer wanted to take part, in fact he once even asked his father did he ever feel guilty for everything they did, this little 13 year old, told the mob boss what he was doing was wrong. It was an odd moment that earned him three days with no food. For the first time, the beloved baby of the family became the warning, he was the oddball. But he was also smart. He started to excel even more with his new drive. When he was offered the chance to skip ahead two grades, he took it. When he was 14 and a sophomore in high school, something happened. ALberto Sr. took to his death bed. At his funeral, Tony forced back tears and looked down into the man's coffin. He wanted to do the man proud but he couldn't. Especially when he noticed that the neighborhood seemed temporarily relieved. Tony did not want to go out like that. What this did mean was that his brother Fausto was moving to LA with his kids, he had two more at this point, making a total of four. It was Fausto's time to lead, it was his time lead the crime unit. Tony naively thought Fausto would handle the changes in Tony better than his father but he was worse. Tony even thinking of the FBI was a betrayal to the family. Tony became increasingly more shut off. His only friend, Sarai, being his only outlet. And when her father began to hear rumors of who his family was, she was forbidden to hang out with him. They still did but secretly.
When he was 16, He and Sarai were dangerously close. He began to like her, was pretty sure she liked him too but he would never admit it. Didn't matter anyways because soon, everything blew up. As a senior in high school now, he signed up for this program that allowed him to go and see the LAPD in action. He even got to meet an FBI agent in the process. The whole experience just solidified what he wanted to do with his life. When he got back that evening and Fausto asked where he had been, Tony made the mistake of telling the truth and not seeming the least bit regretful, in fact he seemed happy and excited about it. Fausto angry and fed up, began to yell. Tony was just getting tired of the abuse and the hatred he received and so this time, when Fausto threw a punch, instead of letting it come, Tony caught the fist, wincing slightly and twisted it before pinning his older brother to the ground and yelling that the man wouldn't touch him again, and that he better watch his ass, because he was going to work on the right side of the law and he knows exactly where to hit the family to make it squirm. With that Tony jumped off, ran to his room, grabbed some clothes and as much money as he could. He was ignorant, he knew exactly what he had just done. He probably just put a hit on his head. He grabbed the small FBI badge he had since he was 12 and took off out the window. He stopped at Sarai's and gave her father a letter for her before he caught a bus and rode it cross country to New York City.
Once in New York, he went straight to the police academy. Being mart and very determined, Tony passed with flying colors. He was dedicated and strong willed. He graduated at 19 and was immediately accepted in the FBI training program before he began work as a low level agent in New York City. A couple years later, a big heist went down which included 5 murders and 5-million dollars worth of cocaine. And guess which group was behind it? Guessed it... his old family. Due to work he did for the case, he got about 15 mid-level mobsters arrested. Two from the russian mafia, six from the Irish and seven from the italian, most of those being people he had met and grown up around. He knew at 21 years old he had just solidified himself as an enemy of his bloodline. The FBI by the way, knows who he is and who his family is. The only thing he ever lied about to them was, he said as a kid he was kept separate from any shady dealings, and therefore he couldn't be used as a witness. Something he feels guilty over but at the same time, family is family. He promised himself though, if he find new evidence, he turns them in, no question. He chose his side, now he has to stick with it. During this case, there was a girl, Young girl about 16, daughter of a russian mobster which the Irish had basically been sold, traded as part of the deal. She had been found and taken into protective custody, the girl was talking, she helped those mobsters be found, even gave up her own uncle and grandfather. Tony was charged to protect her and he did, stuck in a "safe house" for four days together. The girl's name was Evelina. She was fun, cooperative and a kindred soul in the sense of being born into a family that had no clue how to understand them. They bonded.
When the case ended there were only a few choices for her. The protocol one would be putting her into foster care. The Russians would want her head but technically since all the ones she spoke against were in prison, she wasn't eligible for witness protection. Tony knew what would happen in the loose system foster care had become in this country. She was already 16 and thats when he got a plan. He's adopt her, they' change her name and she'd stay with him. She agreed to it, it would be similar to living with a friend. Wrong. She learned quickly Tony was very protective and soon became like a mixture of a paternal and brother figure. Anyways, this big hit they got was a huge deal. They took 15 murderers off the streets and saved the life of this girl which in turn got Tony promoted to a higher position. Now a full fledged agent, was being sent across the country to be part of a teamin the LA area and Anya, which is the name Evelina chose to change to, was granted a scholarship to Valkyrie University. So he's moving to Valkyrie, into a house for them two but he was also issued an apartment in LA for when his job became more and more time consuming. He'll be spending most of the week in LA and then up to Valkyrie and Anya during the weekends. He wasn't exactly looking forward to being back in town where the majority of his family was but, it was his job, and it was worth it.
