|x|The Hair|x|
Mystery has never really found a reason to change her hair. For as long as she can remember, it has been shoulder length or longer, except for the third grade, when it was cool to have shorter hair. All it did for her was make her look like a pixie. Dying it wasn't really an option either. The reddish blonde that her hair appears compliments her skin tone nicely. Why dye it when it works so well? As for styles, Mystery enjoys expirementing with many different kinds, and hardly ever has her hair the same way two days in a row. Or even from one week to the next for that matter. Mystery makes a point of keeping her hair clean cut and washed, mainly because it's more fun to play with then.
|x|The Face/Skin |x|
Mystery had the curse of oily skin since she hit puberty. She had to shuffle through a few different face washes before finding one that worked, which caused a few years of pretty bad acne. Not a lot of people would know that she still has the issue, because she does a pretty good job of washing her face every five seconds. Her light skin tone sets off her dark eyes, making them stand out. Mystery's nose is fairly normal, but curves up at the end, giving it a slightly pointed look that kind of bothers her sometimes. Her eyebrows, while framing her eyes in a complimentary manner, are a little different color than her hair, which occaisionally makes people think that she dyes her strawberry locks, no matter how she opposes them.
|x|The Body|x|
Mystery has never really had an issue with her body. Both of her parents had a high metabolism, which was passed down to their daughter. Mystery loves to eat, in fact, and would be extremely depressed if her metabolism lowered enough that she would actually have to worry about what she was eating. Even though she remains thin, Mystery does work out, which keeps her body more muscled than most of the girls she know. Quite a good mixture of body all around, even if she is just a freshman.
|x|The Fashion|x|
Mystery has always dressed differently than a lot of people. She took boring outfits like jeans and a tee shirt and spiced them up with accessories, hats, and a funky hair style. Getting dressed in the morning turns into an adventure, and she is always looking for something to spice up her next outfit. She goes shopping at funky little stores instead of the big name brand stores. This phenominon is probably the cause of astoundment that Mystery can still manage to have a sense of style. People have ridiculed her outfits before, just because they are a little eccentric sometimes, but Mystery likes her style. She figures that if she likes them, that's all that should matter.
Personality|x|
|x|Loyalty|x|
Mystery keeps her friends close, and would take a bullet for them if the time was right. She hates when someone misuses her trust, just because it isn't easy to give, but for people ike Thomas, who have her undivided loyalty, it does come in handy. It takes a lot from her to gain this kind of trust, and if it's gone for whatever reason, it's even harder to get it back, if you ever even have a chance to. If you did her a serious wrong, or wronged one of her other close friends, it's likely that you won't get the friendship back. If she gives you this kind of loyalty, she also expects it in return. Pretending to give it doesn't count either, because when push comes to shove, she'll know where you stand.
|x|Hopeless Romantic|x|
Ever since she was little, Mystery has been a sucker for romantic moments. She loves those times that just make you go 'aww', whether it be in movies or in real life. She watches Disney movies over and over for the sake of the adorable moments in them, wishing for moments like that like she was a five year old again. Even though she's seen it too many times, the Titanic still makes her cry, and she can sit around on a saturday reading romance novels without stopping. That's another reaason she and Thomas get along so well. Thomas is also hopelessly romantic, and often he and Mystery can be seen togther, watching movies or reading when it suits them. While she hasn't had many romantic moments in her life, she often day dreams about falling in love.
|x|Independence|x|
Mystery has always been kind of a feminist. She believes strongly that everyone should be able to take care of themselves, and this is especially so for women. Mystery doesn't enjoy asking someone for help, and thinks that if she really wants to do something, she'll figure out a way to get it done by herself. This attitude gets kind of destructive at times, because it blinds her of her own issues. She won't admit she has a problem until it breaks her to pieces, and even then she'll try to put herself together by herself. But there are a select few she will go to for help, Thomas being the main one of them.
|x|Old Fashioned|x|
Even though Mystery grew up in a time when girls started getting more and more forward, Mystery has remained old fashioned. She generally won't ask a guy out, and most of the time won't even make the first move. Unlike a lot of the girls at Valkyrie, Mystery generally doesn't get totally wasted, and won't just go and make out with some random guy she just met. Mystery is also old fashioned in the sense that she believes in being fully clothed, even if she goes out. She'll show a little skin occaisionally, but knows how to look amazing without wearing short skirts or mid-drift tops.

History|x| Mystery Alexandria O’Brian was born on December 18th, 1993 to George and Penelope O'Brian. A few short hours later, Penelope died of complications in the birthing process. George, heart broken and angry, gave his new baby daughter to his brother and sister-in-law, saying only long enough to name her before leaving. Mystery's aunt and uncle took her in, taking care of both Mystery and her cousin Thomas with as much love and care as could be provided. Mystery would go until the age of six thinking that Thomas was her brother, and that Leon and Shauna were here mother and father.
It was that same year that the O'Brian clan moved from Dublin, Ireland to Valkyrie, California. They left all of their belongings behind, except for what was neccessary. Things like heirlooms and other important items were also brought along. When the children were young, they were made fun of for their strange accents. These sometimes still show themselves when either of the two freshman are nervous or start talking too fast. No one makes fun of them anymore for that. Hey, this is high school. There are pleanty of other things to be teased about.
While Thomas discovered his love for drawing at the age of five, it took Mystery until the age of eight to discover her art. She had been using Play-Doh while upset at a friend and had ended up making a miniature sculpture. Leon and Shauna were shocked at the outcome of the little girl's hands. After all, she had never had any kind of training, and had never done anything like it before. At first, it was just bound to when she was upset, but now Mystery's sculpting capabilities have flourished as greatly as her cousin's drawing talent. The O'Brian parents now provide clay for their niece as often as they provide pencils and paper for Thomas.
Mystery wasn't shocked about Thomas' announcement to her about his sexuality. She had kind of guessed it for a few months, but didn't want to say anything. But she was shocked at how other people reacted. Especially Leon. It wasn't until a couple of guys found out at the middle school that Mystery and Thomas were attending at the time that she did anything with her frustration. A couple of guys started picking on Thomas, and Mystery proceded in giving them black eyes. Because it wasn't self defense, Mystery was expelled from that school.
If it hadn't been for her sculptings, this probably would have caused Valkyrie to deny Mystery the right to go there. But her acceptence letter came at the same time as Thomas', much to the joy of Leon and Shauna. Since the O'Brian's left Dublin, George hasn't contacted his daughter, and Mystery really isn't expecting much from him. She's here to make the most of what she's got.
