Dear Friends ,

Good day, Valkyrie, California residents.

As many of you are aware, a charitable donation is a highly regarded contribution to society. For Valkyrian citizens, assisting those in need in any way possible has become something of a tradition. We are a gifted town with even more to give back to the world. Every year around this time, I, Sarah Silver, receive a call from an organization based out of South-central Los Angeles which aides in the survival for those stricken with poverty in northern Africa. Every year, my husband, Darren, and I feel it is important to donate as much as possible to this cause. Over the years, I suppose one could claim we have become particularly passionate about this certain organization, the Essential Providers In Culture, otherwise known as EPIC. Giving back to the community is so important, Valkyrie. Darren and I like to contribute as much as possible to those in need. As well, overtime, our charity functions have become rather known around Valkyrie. As I have become aware, many families in the eastern sides of Valkyrie have become passionate about charitable organizations of their own.

I am writing this as a formal invitation for the yearly annual charitable event for EPIC. As to be held in the last week of April, Friday, April 27th in the year of 2007, the doors will be opened at seven o’clock in the evening. The locale, as always, will be the home Darren and I share with our daughter, Tristan, and her half-sister, Maxine: number 37 at the very end on Prince Phillip Drive. As this is a formal event, cocktail attire will be required by all attending. Your children are more than welcome to come, as it is important to be a good influence on them for later life. One “plus-one” per family is allowed as well. However, only those presenting a printed invitation will be allowed to attend. This will be a traditional charity event for Valkyrie, California. No formal theme has been set for this affair, so all are welcome. We will have donation tables set up for those wishing to farther contribute to EPIC, though it is not required. Again, the location is the Silver residence in the southern part of the Valk neighbourhood. Printed invitations are required, as is a formal RSVP to either Darren or I. I will have my daughter, Tristan, informing a few select few at school on Monday morning. Please do not be afraid to bring your own children as well. All proceeds will go towards the EPIC foundation, which supports survival aide in Africa.

my parents are fucking obsessed. You know they don’t actually give those profits to charity? They go into the bank account for my loser father’s company that should have failed fifteen years ago. Golly gee for them. They just like boring me and trying to look like a good family. They still don’t think I drink, so what the fuck do our parents know, right? Want to know what this actually is?

It’s a party. A full-on Valkers-only party. Like those classy ones we have several times a week, only bigger, better. The entire house looks like it’s off of The Valley. So, those who know about this, come on for a good times! Whatever. There’s champagne during the event anyway. Dress up pretty, suck in those post-holiday tummies and give a good impression to everyone else. God knows half of you need it. Parents are starting to ask question to those who are slipping up. How happy would Mommy Martha Stewart be if she knew you girls were out partying every night of the useless week? You can kiss that trust fund good-bye, I can tell you that. So pull up your socks if you don’t want to crash and burn like a few uninvited patrons. So, don’t show this to the shak-filth that seem to know how to act around the Valk-residers. It’s just painful to watch. Exchange a few kind words and keep sucking in until I get my parents drunk enough to let me go. It’s at my house, so I’m the boss. Soon as I’m free to go, go and do whatever the fuck you want. Just don’t stay in my house if you’re someone who is actually somebody.

The ass-hat invitation clearly states only one plus-one for each family. You have any idea how many people go to these things? They don't even notice. So whatever, bring a date for each of you. What do I care? It's my party, so anything I say, goes. Again , just don't bring cheap shoes onto the new floors.

Some of the more “hardcore” Shak people are throwing a party down by the beach that same night. Beers, girls in bikinis and a few recreational drugs. Bonfires are there, too. Bring your own condoms, you don’t know where their’s have been. So stay classy along that. It’ll be the after-party for us, good? Get your own way there. Soon as you’re off my property, I’m not responsible for anyone. During the stupid “event”, keep your moths shut. Since we’re all classmates, apparently if anything goes wrong with you people, I’m too blame. Parents are responsible for the old people, I’m responsible for you all pre-facelift. I’ll be busy babysitting stupid Max, so don’t make me act like your mother. Oh, and mommy dearest is serious. Don’t have an invitation, you can’t come. And don’t even think about bringing someone repulsive as your plus-one if you’re lucky enough to have one. Someone will throw a fit if a pair of cheap shoes from Walmart step onto the hardwood floors. We just had them redone.

Seven o’clock, Friday. Soon as I go, leave and don’t come back. There’s a party down by the beach, so let loose there. I get the blame if anything goes wrong, so don’t intentionally do anything. Keep your smiles pretty, v-side. You can whore out when the mouldy chicken is digested.

WHAT DOES IT ACTUALLY MEAN?

So yeah, most of you guys know what this one is all about. xD I seem to remember a lovely evening of voting on who is wearing what, before the event was even made official. That made me o0berly excited for this! So, good times. Lainey and I, your lovely asia, have been conversing for awhile on the details about this one. Any guesses?

Valkyrie’s first real party!

We talk all the time about the stuffy old Valk parties a lot of our wealthier characters are forced to go to every week. We talk about the insane after-parties. We talk about rolling eyes and uncomfortable cocktail attire. Talk, but don’t do. We’ve been around long enough to know what Valkyrie is like. It had charity events just like on The OC or Gossip Girl all the time, so why not actually have one? It doesn’t really need a lot of explaining…rofl. A lot of it is up there in that clever little IC post I cooked up while I should have probably been doing some of my replies. xD Anyway, lovely admin and I, however, did map out a little bit of a plan for the event. Something to keep it flowing well, as well as trying to avoid the stiff introduction posts where nothing happens and an hour of our lives is wasted. Remember when posts used to take fifteen minutes? Right. xD

The Valk-party, obviously, is going to be the first portion of this mini-event. Everyone is dressed up and being good. You are all welcome to have your own sub-plots for this one, but please fill out the form that will be somewhere below to let us know.<3 You’ll see all the information in the little box down there, so I won’t bother explaining. However, we were thinking of something a little bit dramatic happening nearing the end of the charity event itself. We were talking about how Jimmy Cooper was punched during the Cotillion in the first season of the OC, bless their souls.<3 So anyway, something like that. Nothing major, but enough to kind of get the blood pumping. Any ideas? Talk to us! Seriously, something to do with our kids would be fun. Bitch fight, anyone? Have a character get drunk and trash someone’s dress – whatever. xD So that isn’t overly important. We’ve all seen these kinds of parties on le television, so we all know how to roleplay these out. We gotta keep PC around the parents. It’s out first big thread with a lot of the adults, isn’t it? xD It’ll be amusing to play out a few of the parents. The fun part? The after-party!

I know we’ve tried having them in the past, so why not try now? Like Lainey said during our PM sessions. “What’s one post post?” xD The transition period might be a little awkward, but that’s okay. What we’re thinking is, like Tristan said, that the after-party is originally just a beach party thrown by the Shak kids. Totally like the after-party at Holly’s beach house during the pilot of the OC. Beach, sand, bonfires, booze, drugs, bikinis…all that good stuff. Because, really, a lot of us have some shak kid we would want to get involved, yeah? And not a whole lot of them are close with Valk families, so they don’t always have the chance of being a plus-one. Depending on if Tristan lets them in the house in the first place. (; But yeah, again, no explanation is going to be needed. What we’re saying is that this Shak party got riled up earlier in the evening, around the time the Valk party actually started. So, for several hours, it was just the Shak crowds. They got rowdy, and it’s insane when our Valkers arrive, much later that evening. So, really, the party would start almost halfway through it originally began. This is when we can post introductions of our Shak kids and begin other plots if the need be.

One big one? The fight club. We’ve had it for more than a year now, and we all want it to officially start it. And, since everything here at v-side works out perfectly, we threw out the idea of the official beginning of the fight club be at this legendary after-party. It ain’t often the Valkers party like that with the Shak kids. Anyway, the thinking is that Paolo, broody and angry over losing his sister, is sulking around the bonfire during the after-party. Like all parties at Valkyrie, nothing stays okay for long. Soon enough, an actual fight breaks out between TWO CHARACTERS. Meaning you guys. Seeing this, he gets his brilliant idea of setting up the formal fight club of Valkyrie, California.

Other than that. LET FUCKING LOOSE. This is a fun event for a fun time, similar to our BBQ back in the summer. It’s got sub-plots, of course, but everything else is free rein. We talk about these so often, so let’s actually have one and show the world how v-side does a good rich-kid party-after party ensemble. xD It’s official now, so we can go back to squeeing over who is wearing what and the plots that are going on. But y’all need to fill out this form so we don’t go insane. We’re a family, but apparently us staff are supposed to be running things. Insane, isn’t it? So I don’t v-side you all with spoiled cupcakes, fill it out. XD

So, lily pointed out the plus-one thing. I just edited up Tristan's note. It still really is a plus-one only thing, but what she says goes for this one. xD So yeah, bring as many people as y'all want. No one will notice anyways.

Good times, right? I think this will be lots of fun. (: Oh right. We’re thinking of starting it kind of soon, while the hype is in the air. Talks are for the SECOND WEEK OF JANUARY. So, not next Monday, but like, the Monday after. It’s a lot, we know, but we’re good at balancing a lot of events at once. And I’ve been wanting an event like this for awhile. xD We were talking of a fashion show, I remember. Don’t worry, my brain is still turning for that one. (;

Plots for the charity thing: I'll totally have James be in the fight, because he is a really angry kid, and he is going to be in the fight club anyways. Maybe this can be a Reed & James fight? Or anyone. I'm sure if anyone pushes James' buttons about anything, he'll throw a fist. Other than that, I'm wide open. If I have some ideas, then I will send PMs soon.

Plots for the charity thing: So Audrey and Daphne walk in looking as gorgeous as hell and Petros regrets coming to the event with Andie (sorry, love xD) and thinks he should have come with Audrey instead which frustrates him. oh, and audrey will most def. get bored so she'll probably tell the pianist to go have fun while she plays the piano as a means to pass the time.

Shak/after-party plots: reed will cheat on nikki, but she'll be too drunk to know, but natalie will take pics and show her them the next day. sam will finally confront paolo about bailey & they'll have a mini-argument. uh oh! trouble in paradise.

Alex will be vlogging in the corner with Amber and teasing her about Tino probably hehe. Oh and she'll spot the awesome drummer she saw a few days ago and points him out to Amber who freaks coz it's her brother.
Tim and Mary come and end up leaving pretty early to go to the shak party which leads to some good ol' v-side drama with Nikki and Reed.
Carlito catches Cat drinking underage and stuff will be happening with them hehe xD
Shak/after-party plots: Nina will continue to get drunk which will probably lead to trouble (and a massive hangover the next day)
Tim and Mary ditch the charity thing pretty quick and come to the shak party and Tim notices how much Mary likes Reed so he helps her make Reed jealous by kissing her (which leads to Reed getting mad and cheating on Nikki yeah?) and Tim and Mary will leave together (;
