Welcome to Liverpool, England, home of two great football teams, the famous Merseyside, and the 60s rockers, the Beatles. Liverpool is a very industrial city, but there's another side to it. That is, Shankly Academy for the Troubled. The Academy is dedicated to helping students that formerly faced drug abuse and underage drinking, and assisting them in finding a better life.
...Making the Best of It
However, the school cannot fix everything. Although the teachers and administrators try their hardest to help the students that attend Shankly, more than half the students still suffer addictions and relapses. No one wants to let go of an addiction, right? That's why the Academy was founded, but lately, strange things have been occurring that question the exact purpose of the school and bring to attention some odd happenings.
Love Is Just a Chemical Creation...
The latest of these occurrences include students hearing what sounds like classical music drifting through their dorm windows and objects being found broken on dorm room floors. A poltergeist? Maybe. But among the students runs a rumor that it's more than a playful spirit. It's the drugs. Moreover, it's the ghosts of a group of students that died in the Academy due to an overdose of formaldehyde. At least, that is what the students say. But no one outside of the dorms knows what to make of it, considering these kids, or some of them, are still on drugs themselves.
...Will it be permanent?
Shankly Academy is doing the best they can to break students of oppressive habits and prevent future addictions, but the adults can only control so much. Drug searches held monthly will find some guilty, but never find all of the drugs. Some students get away with it day after day, without anyone knowing. And there seems to be a strange history of shotgun weddings, as well... Who will you be at Shankly? Will you break your habit or stay addicted?
