myrtle beach south carolina. a place of safety, family fun and no secrets. safety was always one of myrtle beach's top concerns. ever since nine-eleven and the attacks on smaller airports the MB airport has always had high secruity. but no amount of land security could prepare the town for what was going to happen. it was a rainy night and there were two flights before the airport closed, flight 74 to italy and flight 291 to florida. the italian plane took off, with a few myrtle beach residents on it. things were going well. flight 291 had more residents on it and took off as well. the fog with thick and the italian flight crew had been disconnected from the central tower, so taking what they thought was a right turn they collided with flight 291 to florida. not many people survived but the ones who did got away with minor injuries. it has been almost a year since the crash and the families are still coping with the losses. but recently scandal has been reached, was the crash innocent or was it an attack on the families of myrtle beach?
