•• Widow & Donny ••
AWAKEN BY THE RUNWAY NOISE Suck it up kid assume battle poise ------------------------------------------ ------ Anxiety was never something Widow Hughes had been a fan of. At least not when she felt it. She had to admit she found it amusing watching Liz pace and be nervous but when Widow felt nervous? Nope, nada. Not a fan at all. But she did feel on edge. I mean, the Rebel Sirens, as Izzy had dubbed them now, were at a stand still. Liz playing dead and the rest of them just trying to keep a low profile. Orion had gotten permission for a leave of absence after "killing liz." Of course he would be granted. He was nothing more than a soldier to them, something of which they had plenty of. Izzy and Donny had been pretty off the radar since they came down here. But come on, Donny could do his work from anywhere with a computer and Izzy had always just sort of been there. Her father had known she was not cut out for the life and had actually shown some kindness to her and let her go. Wid was another matter. She told them she was checking to make sure the job got done. Called to assure them it was(lie) and then that she wanted to do some freelance work in Vegas, just for fun(lie) and to hang with a girl they know she's friends with Maggie C. (truth). And then Jasper and Liv come too? I mean, fuck. Luckily, Jasper was again, just another drone and Liv was a bit more like Izzy but still. It felt very much like the calm before a storm you know? Widow just felt like something was going to happen and she was not looking forward to it. As much as she hated to admit it, she liked just being the hot bitch instead of the hot murdering bitch. I don't know. But Jasper being around didn't help either. Not even Maggie knew what Widow felt when it came to Jasper... Which was nothing. It had to be nothing and therefore it was nothing. That's her story and she's sticking to it.
------ Donny was another matter. He was feeling strangely happy lately. Probably because he got himself a girlfriend of whom he adored. She fun and stubborn, opinionated but with a bit of vulnerability still shining through. And she liked him. Not because of what he could get her, but because he just was who he was. Unlike Widow and Bea and a million other girls in his life, she liked him and wanted to be with him. And while she was gorgeous, he wanted to make damn sure Andromeda Wallace knew that he liked her for much more than that. And of course whenever Widow heard him talk about Andie, she said he made her sick and he should just admit the only thing about Andie he liked was that she was attractive and into him. Girls like Widow didn't get it though. He really didn't care. Donny was the guy who just wanted the girl he could be himself with. A girl who he didn't have to play mind games with and whether or not she was hot by the mainstream worlds standards, she would be beautiful to him. And yeah, it sounds cheesy and yeah, I guess to some it would sound pathetic. But it wasn't and he knew that. That's what mattered. Besides, Andie knew and seemed to accept what he did, even though she wasn't exactly a fan of the danger it could bring into his life. It was funny, when he first met Andie, he had seen her the way he saw every girl who put emphasis on her appearance, an airhead or a bitch. Widow, bitch. Tristan, bitch. Maggie, bitch. Daniella, airhead. Daniella being just some random girl he met in Chicago once. But no, Andie was way different than all of them.
------ Donny was in his bedroom at the moment, printing off page after page, gathering them into piles, hole punching them and filing them into a binder. A Job was a job right? Whatever, he enjoyed his work. He shut the binder before leaning over onto the desk to shut off the printer and closing out of the programs not running. He grabbed his plain black backpack and plopped it down on his desk chair and pulled open the zipper, placing the binder inside the bag before making his way out of his room, just as, to his luck, Widow was walking into the apartment from being out. Wid had been out with some guy for afternoon drinks. She only had one pina colada before she rushed away. Believe me, the bad breath was not worth his stack of gems in the bank accounts. Besides, Donny was already slowly bleeding money out of his account and many others through some untraceable connections all the way into the "rebel sirens' pockets. She smiled at the boy as she walked into the living room of the space, "Why there's my favorite hacker with the skank girlfriend!" She greeted with a smile. Donny rolled his eyes, "I get it, you don't like her, Wid. Luckily for us, I don't care." Widow smiled coyly as she walked over to him, her heels clicking against the floor, "oh but Donny, don't you think it's being just a tad irresponsible trying to form a connection with these people when we're in such a... delicate situation?"
------ Donny laughed, "hah yeah because you don't date anyone around here." He replied sarcastically but he should have known better. "I dont date exclusively, though. Its just sex." Donny nodded at Widow's words, "Yeah well, than it's your fault you're alone, don't blame Andie. Besides, I don't really attract the shallow one-night stand type." Widow just looked at him accusingly at that statement. She crossed her arms over her chest and smirked slightly before Donny looked up and nodded a bit. Okay, here's the deal. He adored Andie, but even he couldn't delude himself that she wasn't the one-night-stand type. She had told him she was. Half the school knew she was promiscuous in nature. "Yeahh, don't say it." he added onto his previous words, matching her smile a bit. Widow laughed slightly, "I'm not saying a word." She replied putting her hands up in defense. She was about to take off her jacket, well actually it was Liz's that Wid just sort of took but hey, she left Liz her ratty bruised up leather that once belonged to Kenny so who cares? She looked over at Donny as he pulled on his sweatshirt and picked up his backpack again. Widow tilted her head to the side out of curiosity. "Where you going?" She asked as he slipped on his shoes without untying them or bending over to help the heel in. "Maggie's." Donny said plainly. "Got some results for her."
------ Widow looked at him offended, "And how come I was not told about this job?" Donny shrugged, "Does it matter?" Widow nodded and walked past him towards the bathroom. "Of course it matters.... It means I get to come and see maggie." She explained, "and her hottie brother" she added right before darting into the bathroom just to check her make up, teeth, hair, the works. Donny just smirked and shook his head, he would have fought her on it but once Widow's mind was made up on something, well yeah, it was made up. He tapped his foot slightly as Widow finished up and came out, looking pretty much the same but he's sure that in her head she looked ten times better so whatever. And then they were off. Donny was using one of the cars Orion had gotten cheap and fixed up for them to use. He just took the jeep that he and Iz had favored. And within a few short minutes they were driving through the Valks, coming up alongside the condos, one of which Maggie had grabbed to stay in. Nicer place than where the Sirens were all staying but then again they were trying to stay off the radar of the law. Widow smiled as she stepped out of the car and made her way up the walkway with Donny. Upon reaching the door Donny rang the bell.

MAGDELENA AND J.R CORINTHOSVALK STREETS, CORINTHOS CONDO, SEPTEMBER 2007 -----"come on j.r.! i can't get in good training if you hold back like that. you've got more muscles than the hulk, fucking use them!" maggie said frustrated as she ducked yet another one of j.r.'s sluggish swings and popped him in the back of the head. "oh just stop." she said finally, wiping her arm across her brow for the first time since they started sparring, an hour ago. "you are such a waste. seriously. how the hell am i supposed to protect myself if i can't get some work in. honestly i'd be better off picking a fight with some hobo. maybe then i'd get a willing partner." she gave up, dropping her hands by her sides as she rolled her eyes, watching j.r. rub the back of his head as if she'd actually hurt him. "what the hell kind of job am i supposed to have if you can protect yourself." j.r. shot back with a smirk, reaching out and grabbing his sister, hoisting her up by the waist and hefting her over his shoulder. "how about this skinny." he said with a smirk as he spun around, listening as maggie squealed. "that's cheating! cheating i tell you!" she said as she pushed herself off his shoulder and fell to the floor, catching herself with her hands before she kissed the hardwood flooring. "you are such an ass." she was partially angry, partially amused. it was kind of nice to get along with j.r. for once. usually she was just too mad at him to function well around him
-----thing had been fine before j.r. had come to the states to "watch over her." even though it had been his excuse to get out of mexico and get away from the business, maggie was sure that it was more than that. it wasn't just an excuse. by the way that he hovered, watching her every move, maggie was pretty sure it was more than that. he didn't like the way that she was working, maggie understood that. she knew that he hated her even being in the business. he wanted her to be some perfect little girl, like her father wanted her to be only j.r.'s motives were more brotherly and less sexist. finally. one guy who didn't care that she was a woman. sure he wanted her out of the business, but it wasn't because he wanted the position to himself. he already had it all. j.r. was the golden child, ready to inherit all of his father's legacy. except j.r. didn't want it. he didn't want the blood and the death on his hands. he didn't want to deal with the drugs or get all of his money from such a corrupt business. was it really that much of a crime to want to be a decent person? sure he was a fan of intimidation every once in a while but that usually came with a few drinks and someone being an ass to his sister. other than that, he liked being a halfway decent guy. he made mistakes, everyone made mistakes, but at least he felt things. he felt remorse for things he'd done, who his father was, what his family had done to people, the works. it actually got to him. that was why he was so worried about the sake of his sister. slowly but surely j.r. saw that remorse fading away in maggie. she was starting to become that cold, calculating woman she'd promised him she'd become. his worst fears were starting to be realized, and he saw it getting worse with every minute that passed by.
-----"yeah well you'll live. now, shower time." he smirked down at her as she picked herself up from the floor, giving her a little pat on the head which maggie quickly swatted away. with that he headed off to what was supposed to be the spare bedroom, the one without a bed, the place he was supposed to be sleeping. "when am i getting my own bed?" he called as he grabbed a towel from the closet and headed to the adjoined bedroom. "when you get your own place!" maggie called out as she headed in the direction of her own bathroom. she turned on the shower and made quick work of it. usually she liked to take her time, but with both of them in the shower, hot water would run out fast and she didn't want to be rinsing in ice cold water. she wrapped a towel around her body and stepped out of the bathroom, cracking the door open to let the steam out. today was just a day to lounge around so maggie didn't really make a big to do about getting ready. she simply grabbed a pair of jeans, tank, and sweatshirt, and pulled her wet hair up and out of her face. she slipped out of her bedroom door just in time to hear the ring of the doorbell. a confused expression crossed her features for a moment. no one was supposed to be coming over today were they? maggie hadn't heard anything from luca since their assignment to one another...so who the hell was it?
-----maggie walked to the door as she heard a rustling coming from the back oh the condo, she turned around to see a dripping j.r. with a towel tied around his waist. "jesus christ. go put something on would you?" maggie said as she reached the door, she turned away from her scantily clad brother to check the peep hole in the door. "oh, haha!" she said with a smile as she unlocked the door and flung it open. "well if it isn't my favorite hooker and my favorite hacker." maggie said with a big smile as she leaned against her door. she pushed off a second later to give widow a hug, but she seemed a little preoccupied. probably by captain buff who was dripping in her living room. "so i usually get a call first. what brings you in the neighborhood?" maggie asked as she stepped away from the door, a gesture for the pair to come inside.

•• Widow & Donny ••
AWAKEN BY THE RUNWAY NOISE Suck it up kid assume battle poise ------------------------------------------ ------ Donny tugged on his sweatshirt zipper, up and down, up and down, pulling the one shoulder strap of the back pack further up. He wasn't nervous or anything. He wasn't, believe me, he knew Maggie well, and... he had met J.R. so... plus Donny was not easy to intimidate. He never had been and he never would be. Sirens never were. Get tough or go home right? Yeah well, home was rougher so, he didn't really have a choice. None this group did. Donny just was not the most patient. It did not matter if he was waiting three hours or two minutes, he did not like it. And while he leaned against the door frame of the condo, he anxiously but not nervously, tugged on the zipper. Besides, why would he be nervous, he had done his job. Used his magic fingers, which is what Izzy calls them when he's typing up a storm and of course Wid couldn't get the sexual innuendo out of her head, and did his job. It may sound dorky but Donny loved his computers like some people love their pets. Okay so Donny was a bit of a computer nerd, although he preferred to be referred to as a computer genius, and in a way he was that as well. He had always been an intelligent person, but it was the fact that he took computing so seriously and dedicated so much of his time to the art of the technology that made him a real nerd technician. Donny was the boy who at seven was taking apart the microwave to see how it worked, putting it back together with some slight modifications and then forcing everyone to not leave their food in it for quite so long due to the new found strength of it. He took apart computers, his close associates did not have to go buy upgrades. Give him twenty bucks and he'll have your computer running so quickly and so protected, you would never have to buy a $79.99 upgrade again. He was "quite the useful bumble bee" as Isabel put it. But anyone who know him, knew he was way more than that. And that was good enough. He didn't have to prove anything to anyone, least of all the physically blessed.
------ Widow smirked slightly as she watched the boy tug on his shirt. "So what was this job anyways?" She asked plainly, cocking her head to side slightly out of curiosity, genuine interest in her tone. Here's the thing about Widow: She was a bitch. She knew it and for the most part she really didn't care. Her walls kept her safe and she didn't bring them down for anyone. But she was not the cold heartless person she is sometimes made out to look like. When she cares about you, she cares about you. She might run from it but she will always do what she thinks is best for you. Donny was one of the few she truly cared about. So she was interested in his life and how he was doing. She wanted him to be happy. Him, Maggie, Jasper, Liv for Jasper's sake. And as much as she would never admit it and for the most part didn't even act like it because the idea grossed her out, Liz was one of them to. The rare few she cares for. But growing up it had been Liz and Widow against the world and Wid had never forgotten how much Liz had once tried to protect her, without much success but god, the rivalry caused by Wid's dad over attention Widow thought she had wanted. She had thought... ugh never mind. We probably shouldn't open up that pandora's box of issues from hell just yet. The point was, when she cared she cared. She just wasn't very good at showing it.
------ Donny shrugged, "Just a basic info grab" He replied, not wanting to give the details. Chances are Maggie wouldn't have cared if Widow knew but come on, how unprofessional would it be if he went on and on about Maggie's business to someone else? Even if she was the best friend. He was about to say 'nothing big' but was quickly stopped by the door swinging open wide and Maggie's bright smiling face appearing. "well if it isn't my favorite hooker and my favorite hacker." Widow smiled and hugged Maggie back, "Woah... hey now, you don't even know a hooker until you meet Donny-boy's new girlfriend." Widow replied with amusement in her tone as she stepped inside. Donny rolled his eyes and followed in, walking past Maggie and looking down at her (physically, what? donny's tall). "She's not a hooker." Widow laughed and looked at Maggie, "Oh please, imagine a cheap bottle blonde trying to be us but without the brains, or the hottness." What? okay, so Widow was just slightly fibbing. Inside her own mind and her own mind alone, she had to admit Andromeda Wallace was hot as hell and had they met in different circumstances and the bitch hadn't gotten her lying claws in Widow's dear friend Donny, they probably would have been friends. But Donny's her nerd, no one touches her property.
------ Her eyes turned and then saw J.R. right there in all his yummy glory, the six pack standing proud, although it was more like an eight pack on him. She put on a flirty coy smile, "And speaking of hottness..." She began as she walked closer to him, "Look at you all ready for my arrival, good boy." Donny rolled his eyes from across the room, still standing by Maggie before nodding his head over to J.R. as an acknowledgment of the half naked man's presence in the room. He looked back down at Maggie and smiled a bit, "She'll never change will she?" He asked already knowing the answer. "Anyways, job done. You sure know how to pick 'em too. They were good." He continued, referring, of course, to the information in the binder in his back pack. He shrugged a bit, "I mean... I was better... by far, but still. At least it was like a sudoku challenge as opposed to tic tac toe like most lame assignments." He glanced around the condo. It was nice. The apartments the sirens were in were... well shitty, but come on, they are trying to stay off the radar. Liz is "dead" know remember. Last few months she had been going by the name Liz Harris. And according to new Liz's falsified to perfection birth certificate, Liz was short for Liz. A lot of parents had started naming their kids nicknames anyways. But yeah, on paper, "Liz Harris" was just your basic girl. Of course, while hacked into that data base he also planted a well hidden but not impossible to find electronic path of a fake name of liz's description heading from here to Mexico, in case the main Sirens somehow found out that Liz was still alive. Which was a strong possibility now that Jasper and Liv were around.

MAGDELENA AND J.R CORINTHOSVALK STREETS, CORINTHOS CONDO, SEPTEMBER 2007 -----if you were to get all of the corinthos clan in one room, there is sure to be a dividing line between those in favor of juan sr., a very small group, and those who hated that bastard's guts. maggie and j.r. would most likely be on one side, followed by the wives, the younger corinthos kids, and probably bella, though the teenager was clueless about all things having to do with the business. you would think that a family with such a bold, noticeable dividing line would have a little more drama. you might think that there would be attempts on someone's life or constant tension, but that really wasn't the case. with the exception of a few loose screws the corinthos clan had a good head on their shoulders for keeping everything bottled inside. as if juan would actually give a damn in the first place. though there were a good, solid, eight family members under his care, there were only two he remotely cared about and one of them was deceased. yes, j.r. was juan's sole priority. he was the golden child, the blessed one, and boy did he hate it. j.r. wanted nothing to do with the business. it was bad enough he drew the unlucky card of being born first and being 'gifted' with his father's name. that was enough of a reminder to him of the life that he was trying to get away from, the life that was most likely never going to leave him alone. juan would find a way to make him break. sure, seeing his mother killed right before his eyes as a child wasn't nearly bad enough, we have to throw his life into jeopardy as well. maybe if juan could find the straw that broke the camel's back, j.r. would give in and become the rightful heir that he was supposed to be. what a crock.
-----maybe he would have preferred a little more of an outward showing of hate, though it wasn't really his style. maybe then the unspoken tension and resentment could be handled. no that was pretty much a dream as well. there was no getting over the fact that your father's ignorance and stupidity was responsible for your mother's death. there was no getting past seeing your mother shot before your eyes, her blood spraying onto your body and having a rival organization threatening your life. no amount of retaliation was enough for j.r. no moves that juan had made had been good enough, even as a child j.r. had known that. you see, j.r.'s mother, paulina, had been nothing to the castillos. the castillos were the prominent rival group, the ones that juan had done nothing to take care of when he'd made his move as the major drug organization in the tijuana area. no, he'd simply made a move and sat back, pretending like everything would be okay, that another, rival business would be fine and dandy with some guy coming in and stealing their business, their territory, and their money. it was his ignorance that had caused the death of his 'favorite' wife. yes he claimed to have loved her more than any of the other two women he'd married, but did that matter to j.r.? not in the slightest. he blamed juan for his mother's death, for his sister's obsession with joining the business just for his acceptance, for having to move to the united states just so he could get away from him. j.r. blamed him for it all and yet nothing got past that 'teddy bear' exterior. there was no glimmer of anger when he looked at his father, no sarcasm or disdain in his voice. j.r. had learned long ago to hide what he was feeling from everyone, something that had come much to easy with the post traumatic stress caused by witnessing his mother's murder.
-----that was behind him, all that was left was the residual pain that he never showed, in a nearly blank canvas that was his soul. he hid it all with witty, joking remarks and lots of smiles. it was almost as if one would believe he was happy. maybe he was. the line between real and make believe had gotten foggier and foggier over the years so maybe he was actually past it all. maybe he was just another face in the crowd now...who knew. maggie, on the other hand, was not as good at holding in her emotions compared to j.r. the boy was gifted for it, especially since maggie was pretty much completely unaware. then again that was the way she liked to live her life. if it didn't concern her, the business, or this new godforsaken partnership she'd been forced into, then it was of no concern to her. she was fine with that, with not caring for the minor things that played no role in her life. why the hell would she choose to worry about someone else's shit? that wasn't her business and it wasn't her problem to begin with. like the first time she'd met luca. he'd gone on and on about how she couldn't have the money and yet look who had come out victorious. truth be told, the purple bruise on the bridge of his nose still made her smile. bastard. she couldn't believe she was forced to work with such a cocky asshole. common courtesy was out the window with that guy. hadn't mattered how hard she'd worked for her money, how long she'd stayed in that shitty apartment beating up a pathetic lowlife, he still figured he'd best her with intimidation. oh how well that had worked for him. score one, maggie corinthos.
-----she heard chatter through the door as she opened it taking in the site of two familiar faces. wid was probably one of her favorite peoples, she had to admit it. maggie didn't like being attached to anyone in valkyrie, but widow had to be one of her exceptions. the bitch was awesome, for lack of a better word. they were two peas in a pod which should have put them at each others throats but instead they were the best of friends. it made it so much easier to be working with them, in a sense. donny was a close second, which did mean a lot since her list of allies was short, but the best bitch had to take numero uno. maggie was no feminist, it just wasn't like she was hanging out with donny at every nightclub and flirting with guys to get free drinks. no, that would just be awkward. still, she depended on donny, and it damn near warmed her cold, calloused heart to see him coming through with information for her. she closed the door behind the pair and walked deeper into her apartment, eying her half named brother as he stood there with a towel clutched around his waist. well at least he was that decent. "i'm sure she's a winner," maggie said sarcastically, giving donny a look. "how much did you pay for her?" maggie chuckled but let it drop, for now. she rolled her eyes as widow set her sights on j.r. and moved in his direction. it was typical, but nothing maggie wasn't already used to. she smiled at donny's comment sneaking in her own little snide remark, "i swear she pretends to adore me just so she can hang out with captain buff." and just like that they were down to business. good. maggie had a bad feeling about this recent family she'd stumbled upon and she really didn't want to get through all of the pleasantries in order to get to the nitty gritty of why they'd come in the first place.
-----maggie heaved a little sigh as donny spoke about the hack. great. if they had provided even the slightest challenge to donny it meant that they weren't dealing with your average, run of the mill, dumb criminals. it meant that these, whoever in the hell they were, were smarter than they let on. never a good sign, but regardless maggie was quite sure of her ability to handle things. she ran her fingers through her hair for a moment before speaking, "alright, what'd you get." she asked, crossing her arms over her chest as she moved in closer to get an eye on this binder of his. it was down to business now.
-----j.r. couldn't help but to smile and roll his eyes playfully as widow approached. automatically he nonchalantly tightened his grip on his towel. though he knew nothing would happen, especially with his sister and another siren in the room, widow was always a bit of an enigma to him. no doubt, j.r. enjoyed not knowing what might be coming next. it certainly made for entertainment. "ah yeah wid, you can read me like a book." he chuckled, "i should go grab some shorts. i can't having you threatening my innocence now can i?" j.r. backed away, holding up his index finger in a 'one sec' gesture. in about thirty seconds he was back, a pair of boxers and loose basketball shorts on, his towel in his hand as he raked it over his hair. "much better. at least this way you'll have to work a little harder." j.r. said with a smirk as he walked up to widow and leaned in, resting his hand momentarily on her waist and placing a kiss on her cheek. "you look fantastic by the way." he whispered in her ear before pulling away a bit with a smile on his lips.

•• Widow & Donny ••
AWAKEN BY THE RUNWAY NOISE Suck it up kid assume battle poise ------------------------------------------ ------ Donny would be lying if he didn't worry from time to time about his relationship with Andie. It's not that he didn't like, he did. Oh boy did he ever. And that was what was wrong. He really liked her and she knew about his 'job' and she knew people he cared about were involved and he knew who she was and what she could be like. He did not listen to what other people said about her, fuck like he cared but come on, she had admitted to him about a lot of those things and her being very much like it, and how she enjoyed it and they were such different people. Basically, he was only worried because he didn't want her hurt by his work. And then the other was that he was a Siren. There was always one real criteria for them and that was trust no one. Look what Darren Jr. had done to Liz, his own sister. And look how Darren Sr. her father, Wid's grandfather, he had known, he knew what his oldest had done and he told everyone it didn't matter. You don't trust family. You don't trust friends, and you never ever ever trust lovers. Widow had made a name for herself from taking advantage of people in the buff with their guards down. The Sirens here in Valkyrie were in a bad situation and to get through it, they had to trust each other on some level. Even Liz and Widow had to deal. But they were forced into it. Why? Moral conscious. And it sucked major balls, for the record. He just, he knew either his work would hurt Andie or Andie being Andie would hurt him. Part of him knew it.
------ Didn't mean Widow had any right to say anything but then again, this was Widow. She came out of the womb bitching about the gynecologist's choice of shoes. Widow really wasn't as shallow as she played herself off as. Nor was she as hardcore a bitch as she played off. Donny knew that but he pretended for her sake he didn't. Wid was one of those girls who needed to feel in control. Being able to chose who people saw when they looked at her was part of that control. But at the end of the day, Wid ragged on Liz so badly because of jealousy that her father had seemed to love Liz more. She hated Liz now more than ever because what Liz had done had confused her. Wid knew what kind of man her father was. She knew he was a sociopath and not that Donny or anyone else knew this but she knew first hand about his sexual tendencies and yet, when she heard he was dead, she expected herself to be nonchalant or relieved but no, she felt something completely foreign to her, grief. She had not cried for the man, but she had felt that ache of pain and the sore lump in her throat as the news finally hit her. She was lost and confused because she was sad and angry and hurt and relieved and devastated all for the loss of one bastard. Her father was the type of man she killed. She knew it. She hated it. She hated what she had turned into. She hated that she was embarrassed by the idea of anyone figuring out she was a Trekkie and once wanted to marry Patrick Stewart. I mean come on, ew old much? But no, she could mask it all well. No one could see it. No one could tell. And that was her form of control, even over the other rebel sirens.
------ Donny rolled his eyes as Maggie joined in on the mocking of his new girlfriend, "how much did you pay for her?". Donny shrugged slightly, "Tutoring sessions and a bottle of lemonade, I guess." Donny replied sarcastically. He had tutored Andie, reluctantly he might add, before they dated. And the lemonade reference was because of the night they got together. She had been over at the apartment, they were out of soda so he had run across the street to get himself a soda and her a lemonade. When he got back, she had went into his room and found out about everything when she said, 'what about us.' And in the down pouring rain, in the parking lot of the Hitten building, as if written in some movie, he had gotten her to admit she liked him and he had kissed her. Right there. He was still surprised by his own boldness in that moment. It seemed so unlikely. So out of character. So something that should have been meant for someone else. "i swear she pretends to adore me just so she can hang out with captain buff." Donny laughed a bit at Maggie's words glancing back over at Wid and J.R. Girl could be very... how do you put it? Subtle? at moments. Wid looked over her shoulder at her friend and gasped slightly, "You watch your tongue missy, you know I adore you, if only you had a penis and a six pack." Widow replied with a smirk, and in mock dreamyness.
------ Wid pouted slightly as J.R. decided to go off and put clothes on. "But why? that's not nearly so much fun." She called after him, grinning. Back over to Donny and Maggie, they went over slightly to the side, "alright, what'd you get." Maggie asked. Donny pulled out the binder and flipped it open before placing it on the counter behind him. He pointed down at the papers as he spoke. "This family, is definitely just a paper arrangement. They did a fair job wiping their pasts, credit cards, all bank outs, state Id's, all wiped with efficiency but I was able to track down a single data transfer. It was basically a detailed bullshit packet." Paper arrangement was what it meant when someone was on paper as someone they weren't. Liz was now a paper arrangement. And a bullshit packet was basically what he called a large collection of falsified information. Not stolen, falsified. There was a difference. These people were clever enough to not have to steal an identity to make it work. Its harder to trace. He continued, "The data transfer included a small coded message on how to get their old money back, I was able to find a few back doors to get to trace it back to them." He then flipped to the back where there were a bunch of satellite photos of their new residence. "I got into one of weather satellites data base, circled into their new residence. Here's the deal, as suspected they have more security than your average run of the mill family. Now I don't know what you need these people for and I honestly don't care but I figured it couldn't hurt going the extra mile. I have addresses, access to their new bank accounts, their fake social securities and through some very impressive finger work, if I do say so myself, all security codes on their property, but I still wouldn't underestimate these people. They had some clever computer hacker on their side, resources mean power. We both know that." He added proudly. Maybe he should tell her about their dog too...
------ Wid laughed slightly as J.R. came back out wearing practically the same thing but shorts instead of a towel, "Oh yes, and this is surely maintaining your so called innocence." She greeted him cooly, not minding one bit he had chosen to stay shirtless. "much better. at least this way you'll have to work a little harder." Widow rolled her eyes and scoffed slightly, again not minding as he leaned in and kissed her on the cheek "you look fantastic by the way." She nodded, "I tend to, but I also tend to look better when I copy your current look." She added very matter-of-factly. She shook her head slightly, turning her body towards him, "and for the record, I could get those off with my hands behind my back," She began before saying slightly closer and slightly quieter, "I'd just use my teeth."

MAGGIE AND J.R CORINTHOSVALK STREETS, CORINTHOS CONDO, SEPTEMBER 2007 -----maggie may have seemed cruel at times, but you had to look at how the girl was raised to really get a sense of what was going on in that head of hers. she'd been born an unwanted child, the first of many in fact. from the day she was conceived, she'd been unwanted. be it by her father, or the shame of her mother, maggie had been an unwanted birth on both parts. but no one had jsut taken the initiative to take care of the problem now had they? if her mother had gone to a clinic to get an abortion then maggie wouldn't be standing here today. true, she knew that her existence was partly to thank to both undeserving parents, which was why they never heard any kind of a thank you from her. when sophia mitchell had gotten pregnant during the spring break of her junior year, she'd never imagined that it would lead to this. never once had the woman considered that having the child of a drug kingpin would get her everything her heart desired, except a family. you see after finding out she was pregnant, juan sr. did everything to make sure his new child-bearer did leave with his child. he wasn't a decent father, but lord knows the man could provide for his children. if there were going to be any corinthos progeny running around, they might as well being doing it under his watch. at least this was the original consensus. maggie was pretty sure he regretted that now. but sophia didn't want to live the life of a drug lord's wife. she wanted to get away. to get back to her life in the states with her family. so she ran. at nine months pregnant, sophia mitchell ran for her life and the life of the spawn she couldn't believe she'd been stupid enough to create. she'd gone into labor at the border, giving birth to maggie on the "right" side of the u.s./mexican border. maggie was a citizen, but that didn't stop her mother from high tailing it into the states and never looking back. juan found her in a hospital right on the border, told her he'd take his child and never let sophia see her again, so sophia agreed to marry him and go back to tijuana with him.
-----but hey, you give up a normal life in the states and you get a not so legal one in tijuana. you win some you lose some. of course all of that was taken care of now and sophia was officially a daughter of mexico, but maggie didn't have to succumb to that, and she wouldn't. being an american gave her the excuse she needed, being in the states on her own and getting away from her father. it was like a win/win situation. maggie would be able to control the drug business on this side of the border, and there really wasn't much juan could do from there. or so she thought. of course coming to the states was too good to be true. of course something as simple as a country/country boarder couldn't keep her father out. damn it, it seemed as if nothing could do so. now juan sr. was in the process of ruining her life. sticking her with some two-bit, trigger happy partner who wanted nothing more than to blow her brains out was just another half-assed attempt at getting maggie to surrender what she knew, what she was holding over her father, and get gone. it was no secret that juan wanted his daughter out of his business. whether his cover story was the he loved her too much to see her hurt, or that the business was no place for a woman, they were both crap. juan didn't give a damn about his daughter. if he could, the man was likely to put a bullet between her eyes himself. but he didn't know all that maggie had on him. all of the contacts, the shipments, the connections, all of it was done through maggie with juan's name. the moment maggie stopped taking control and handed the reins over to her father, everyone would know who was running the place. though it might be sad, it was true. maggie had been doing this a long time. in over the span of five years she'd turned her father's business into a strategic, well-oiled machine. product went out, supplies came in, partnerships were made, and all through maggie. the only kicker was, no one knew juan's eighteen year old daughter was running the place. if they only knew.
-----sure she was here in valkyrie, but maggie was still controlling just about everything through her computer, with a little help from hackers just like her dear old donny. maggie wasn't as brilliant with a computer as donny was, but she knew her was around enough to get inside scoops on people. any research she could dig up on her own, maggie usually did. it was only for the big cases, the smart ones that maggie couldn't crack, that she called on her favorite hacker. donny was just that. he was cocky, sarcastic, and sometimes a little too curious for his own good, but donny was brilliant and maggie loved having him around. god knows, it made her life simpler. "oh so she was cheap?" maggie said with a smile, putting words in donny's mouth. she gave him a pat on the shoulder, a gesture that pretty much said "i'm only half kidding" before she walked over to the desk and the papers that donny began futzing with. she smirked as she heard wid's comment, looking over her shoulder and sticking her tongue out as widow. god she loved that girl. there wasn't likely to be another soul in valkyrie that was as much like maggie as widow, and they never stopped letting each other know it. "i know, i know. you'd do me in a heartbeat. you'll just have to settle for gigantor over there." maggie snickered and she nodded her head at j.r., quickly turning back to donny. she really didn't like the sound of what donny had dug up and it was visible on her face how much she didn't want to hear this information. still, it needed to be heard. "so someone's either a crackshot hacker or they've got some heavy artillery working for them. that warms my heart." she said sarcastically, thumbing through papers as donny went over them.
-----"mhm" maggie nodded as they went through things bit by bit, a smile growing on her lips with every bit of extra work donny had already done. made her life so much easier. "i knew i loved you for a reason." maggie said with a full blown smile, planting a kiss on his cheek. "i'm glad you made the effort because i would have just asked you for this later and you're saving me a ton of time." she picked up the satellite photos, looking over each one a little more vigorously. "do you have any pictures of who's involved? i've got the house and such but i want a face. can you get me that?" she looked over to see the pride showing on his face. "you did good. real good. dare i say i'm actually impressed." maggie said with a smile.
-----j.r. wasn't quite so concerned with the business babble going on in the corner. that was not his area of expertise and he preferred it never to be. "hey i'll have you know that my innocence is intact." j.r. said with a smirk. he cocked an eyebrow at wid as she spoke. damn. that was all he could say. "there's no doubt in my mind how true that little tidbit may be." he really did have to be careful around this one. if he wasn't there was no doubt in his mind that she wouldn't hesitate on being true to her word. j.r couldn't have that now could he? well, part of him disagreed. "hehe, that reminds me, i must keep my distance from you." he joked, walking past her, taking her hand as he flopped down onto the couch, no hesitation in pulling her down beside him. "i'd take you somewhere where the conversation's not so...business like. but i'm afraid to be alone in a room with you." though it came off as a joke, there was no doubt to how true those words really were.

•• Widow & Donny ••
AWAKEN BY THE RUNWAY NOISE Suck it up kid assume battle poise ------------------------------------------ ------ Do you ever get that feeling, that shitty, sort of depressing feeling, when slowly but surely, a horrible situation is starting to become normal? Like you're in hell, but you are used to it so you become a bit numb to it and soon, all the dodging and dangerous living is no longer scary to you but just a part of the way you live and that if you don't take action now it will never change and yet there's nothing you could do without making it worse? That was sort of the feelings the Sirens shared, well at least Don, Liz and Rion. Who knew what WIdow felt like? Donny was getting comfortable. He wasn't sure that was a good thing. When it came to him and Andie he didn't care though. Whether it was bad for him or good for him, he had to know where they were going. There was something about the two of them that fit so perfectly. The beauty and geek, its a classic tale. And its not that he liked her only because of that, we know this. He had never actually felt like this about someone. Maybe he would have had Liz ever once returned his affections but she hadn't and he hadn't. He had adored her though. Every time she would speak to him he would just watch her face and how she shaped her mouth for each word, he was always a bit to eagerly friendly to her. Would sometimes stutter. It had been him in crush form. Luckily for Andie, she had never seen him like that. The way they had treated each other in the beginning was so brash and cold cut that she was ruled out as a crush in the first two minutes. He hadn't liked her. He honestly hadn't liked her. Not even as a friend. She kind of went from annoyance to friendly acquaintance to girl friend. They skipped all the middle steps. But who needs 'em?
------ Donny rolled his eyes at Maggie's comment about Andie being cheap. The truth of the matter was is that Donny knew girls like Maggie and Widow would never understand what he saw in Andie. To them she would just seem your basic average promiscuous girl. But she wasn't. She was stubborn and fierce just like them, even if she hadn't killed anyone. He scoffed slightly at her statement, "Hey my tutoring talents are worth a damn lot, besides it just gave a chance to get to know each other a bit better as to not want to rip each other's throats out." Oh no truer words had ever been spoken. As he explained about the fake family to Maggie, he could see her distaste for the information. He could understand why, it's not that he cared all that much. Maggie was smart she would find a way, his information would help a fair amount, plus he doubted whatever she was doing she was going it alone. But at the end of the day, Donny was not the good natured worry about everyone 24/7 type of guy. He was no Riley Turner with a heart of gold. He was not a puppy with loyalty until death. When he cared about you, he cared about you and he would go to the ends of the earth for a few people, Izzy, Wid and yeah, probably Andie now. But that was really it. Liz could take care of herself. There was once upon a time where she would have been on that list and he still liked her as a friend or whatever you want to call it but she can handle herself, she's the one who got them into this fucking mess anyways. Orion? Yeah the most they talked were grunts of acknowledgement from Rion's side. They were on opposite ends of that world. Orion equaled brute force, Donny was pure brains.
------ The point is, is that Donny wasn't the guy to throw himself to the sharks for a stranger, or an acquaintance, or a business associate, or a basic friend, mainly because he didn't have them. But when it came to these people, Maggie and him had always gotten along fairly well plus she was important to Wid, so whatever, he would help and not even charge extra for the extra mile he had gone. Besides, like he said before, these people were good, but he was better. Far better. Donny has some insecurities about somethings, but his skills weren't one of them. He was known in the underground world as one of the best hackers in the country, not even most of the Sirens knew his anonymous name. I mean, they did but they didn't know it was him. That's because he worked for himself the whole time he worked for the Sirens. I mean, fuck like he was going to stay in that hell whole his whole life. And looky here, he was out. He was better than even the Sirens knew, really it was only Wid and Iz who knew who he really was. And Maggie, she probably had figured it out if Wid hadn't told her. Donny wasn't dumb enough to underestimate the girl. He smirked as Maggie mentioned it warming her heart, he nodded, "I thought it would, which is why I brought you a present." He reached into his back pocket and pulled out a small flash drive and handed it to her. "And I wouldn't suggest putting that into any computer connected to any network a computer you're attached to is on."
------ "I knew i loved you for a reason." Donny chuckled slightly as she got happier and kissed him and one the cheek, he shrugged, "Yeah yeah, we all love me." He said plainly. "i'm glad you made the effort because i would have just asked you for this later and you're saving me a ton of time.... do you have any pictures of who's involved? i've got the house and such but i want a face. can you get me that?" The hacker smiled, "I figured as much." He replied, regarding the first half of her statement. As for the second part... "I might have that, I might have fairly detailed shots of them, I might be able to get more if needed, I might be able to get audio and they just might be here..." He replied holding a small blueray miniDisc between his index and middle fingers. He smirked but didn't hand it to her just yet. "you did good. real good. dare i say i'm actually impressed." He shrugged, "A lot of this was favor Maggie but I am still a business man, we agreed on three grand?" He asked with a raised eyebrow. ------ Now things for Widow at that very moment were far less business oriented and far more pleasure oriented. She wasn't interested in jobs at the moment, or lately in life. She was forced to keep a low head in the crime world and she was kind of enjoying the freedom of that. Of not having to sleep with despicable men only to suffocate them or slit their throats in the night. She enjoyed fucking the men she wanted and only the men she wanted, and having them be alive in morning, even if she was already gone before they awoke. Here she got what she wanted almost every time. Jasper still hadn't taken off, that was something she had wanted... sort of. It was something she told herself she wanted at the very least. He made things difficult for her to be her, you know? Or it was the opposite, didn't matter moving on the the real hunk of man meat shirtless in front of her, she kept her coy smile up as he replied. "hey i'll have you know that my innocence is intact." Ha! that's a funny thought. She shook her head slightly, "Well, if that lie ends up being true, it won't be for very much longer." She replied suggestively looking up at him with her big brown eyes that in some lights can seem so much less vindictive and so much more innocently playful which tended to add to her sex appeal. Or at least that's what she had been told. "there's no doubt in my mind how true that little tidbit may be." She laughed slightly and nodded, "Oh yeah, I can prove it too." ------ She watched as he walked a bit closer taking her hand and pulling her down alongside him on the couch which she had no problems whatsoever allowing. "hehe, that reminds me, i must keep my distance from you." He added as he did so. On the couch next to him she pulled her leg up slightly rubbing his as she leaned in, "Keeping distance usually doesn't include pulling me onto the couch with you, does it?" She asked honestly. "i'd take you somewhere where the conversation's not so...business like. but i'm afraid to be alone in a room with you." Damn it Donny! Widow glanced back and her two closest friends and they chattered away about whatever. Seemed serious enough. A little part of her twinged with curiosity and wanting to join in but a larger part wanted to ignore them and continue having her leg on J.R.'s. She looked back over at him and rested one arm on the top of the couch, her body leaning back slightly more, shifting so she could gently place her legs across his lap, "You sure about that?" She asked with a sexy grin as she placed her hand on his cheek and gently turned his head towards her before letting his trace down his neck and chest and to his arm and hand which she took and placed on her thigh, "I can be real... generous." She added, obviously giving extra consideration to her word choice at that moment. MAGGIE AND J.R CORINTHOSVALK STREETS, CORINTHOS CONDO, SEPTEMBER 2007 -----oh how useful it was to have a hacker on her payroll. really. it made life so much simpler when she could get the upper hand on people in the town who were bound to cause her a problem. she didn't like the feeling in the pit of her stomach, the feeling that these people weren't who they said they were. well that had already been found out, yes. that was the whole point of donny being here in the first place. but something deep down told her she was not going to like what donny had to show her. something told her that being oblivious to this information, no matter how much she needed to know, would make her happier than knowing who was behind all of this. but the fact was that she did need to know and donny had brought her quite literally everything she needed to know. she couldn't help but smirk as donny defended the value of his tutoring skills. "alright princess whatever you say." maggie joked, looking over at donny with a smile. he wasn't a fantastically close friend to her, but he was closer than just about anyone in valkyrie had yet to get next to widow and probably tristan so that was enough for her to take a shining to him. besides, keeping him around was beneficial to both. she gave him money, he gave her info. it was a win-win situation on both ends. who couldn't be happy about that? and from the looks of it j.r. was getting his win-win on too, as much as it made her skin crawl to be able to see the flirting on her couch out of the corner of her eye. "behave you two or you're buying me a new couch." maggie said sternly, giving her brother the "what the hell are you thinking" look. "seeing as how technically we're in my bed..." j.r. started off, clamming his mouth shut with one look from maggie. "she makes me sleep on the couch." he shot widow his best puppy dog-pity me look before glancing at his younger half sister, chuckling under his breath as she groaned and turned back to donny.
-----maggie rolled her eyes as she looked over the information donny had brought her. it looked like her work was going to be cut out for her, looking over all of this and coming up with a plan, but there was no one more suited for this then maggie so a sleepless night or two...or three was worth it to get the upper hand and take out a problem before it even arose. she needed the upper hand. lately maggie had started feeling as if the walls were closing around her. if it wasn't tighter restrictions from her father it was importing. if not importing, selling. if not selling, collecting. and in the meantime juan still wanted his baby, his business, running smooth as silk. not only was she doing this all on her own but she was also facing off against her father himself. the bastard wanted to use her for her ideas to make himself look good but that didn't mean that he wanted her in the business. in fact it was quite the opposite. juan wanted her out whether it was by his hand or someone else's. she was relatively sure that if no one else managed to get the upper hand on her and kill her, juan would do the dirty work himself. after all he was never a rational man and he was a constant screw up. had he tried to kill her he would have gotten himself caught which was probably why this damned engagement had come into play. since he couldn't kill her he was going to pair her up with someone who would, or who would hamper her skills enough to get her killed out on the job. then juan corinthos sr could not be blamed for the death of his daughter. he could simply pawn it off as a job gone wrong and damn the consequences. so at the moment it felt like maggie was stuck between a rock and a hard place. this bit of information was necessary despite how much she may or may not want it, but if there was anything that she could do to increase her chances of making it out of all of this alive, she sure as hell would give it the old college try.
-----she looked over the flash drive and smirked at donny. "will do." the last thing she needed was anyone else getting a hold of this information. and here she thought she might actually have to wait before donny came back with the results of what she'd just asked of him. silly, silly girl. she had underestimated him by far. it was nice to see that he'd come so prepared. it made her work that much easier which, at the moment, was exactly what she needed. she listened to all of the might haves, growing a little impatient by the third, which was clearly visible across her features. "oh my god you rock." maggie said with a giddy little happy-clap. she held her hand out flat, cocking an eyebrow at him as he failed to give it to her. money talk, it made her smirk even more. "hell no you aren't getting three. you're getting five. just because i love you today." she waggled the fingers of her open palm at him until the disk was securely in her hand. "but don't think that overcompensating for your job will get you a bonus every time. you just caught me on a good day." she slid the disk into it's proper place and played it, her eyes watching the screen for the images to pop up. what she hadn't expected were the faces that had appeared in crisp, clean photos on her computer screen. "my god." she said in shock, her hand clamping over her mouth for a moment. she sucked in a breath and let it out, trying to calm herself as she turned away from the computer, placing herself in just the right position so that her body blocked the screen. "wid you two are seriously grossing me out. get him out of here please." her hands shook in fear. one look at her computer screen and god only knew what j.r. would do.
-----thankfully for both their sakes, j.r. hadn't been concerning himself with donny and maggie's conversation. he'd been a little...well preoccupied. could you blame the guy? "well m'dear your definition of innocence and mine might be completely different." j.r. said with a chuckle, his gaze locking on hers as he challenged her with his eyes. "ever think of that?" j.r. enjoyed being around widow. sure back when he was a child he hadn't seen her as a woman, because back then she had only been a child, as had he. it was much easier to see her as that now, and much more difficult to dissuade certain emotions as well. "since we are in public, it's probably best my shorts stay on." he couldn't help but to chuckle in both amusement and surprise. the phrase "it's been a long time" was practically an understatement for j.r. even though he appeared to be a grown, mature man, a lot of his impulses were the childish type that belonged more in a body of a prepubescent boy than in a six foot something, one hundred and eighty plus, twenty one year old man. honestly it was shameful, and not something j.r. was quite proud of. he'd figure himself to have more control than that. he settled himself on the couch, smiling over at wid as she eased in beside him. well she did have a point, he thought as he tried to ignore the sensations on his leg. ignoring was extremely difficult at the moment and j.r. wasn't quite to sure how good of a front he was putting up. 'your sister's best friend? really?' he chastised himself as he looked down to find legs in his lap. 'oh damn' he smiled, closing his eyes and shaking his head, before he felt her hand on his cheek and his eyes opened, following the touch of her hand to his. before he knew it his hand caressed creamy thigh. "i have no doubt you could be wid." he said, his accent thick and his voice raspy. once again he praised god that they were in public. she was temptation incarnate and the wandering eyes of his sister was enough to keep him in check.
-----of course his shoe-in for a sexual block was destroyed moments later when maggie turned to them and demand they leave the room. damn it. he looked over at his sister with pleading eyes before noticing the look on her face. the warmth at his side was gone, followed by a tug on his hand as widow happily began escorting him toward maggie's bedroom. j.r.'s eyes still locked on his sister before falling to the computer screen. in a single moment j.r. saw red and let go of widow's hand. "MAGDELENDA WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS!" he screamed as he walked to the computer and pushed her aside to get a full on view of the face which he was sure he'd seen. with one glance he knew his eyes hadn't deceived him. "did you know?! j.r. demanded as he turned to his sister. "DID YOU KNOW?!" he screamed again, pointing to the computer screen but never pulling his eyes away from the frightened gaze of his sister. "no one knew j.r." maggie said quietly, afraid to say the wrong thing at the moment. she'd seen j.r. mad before but this? this was some new kind of monster. "we're figuring it out. i swear." she took an uneasy step toward her brother, watching him as he shook with rage. "j.r. i promise you i will tell you everything when you calm down, but you have to calm down first." after a minute without success, maggie lashed out a hand and cracked her brother across the face, stunning him into finally blinking. "i'm sorry, but you need to go calm down. widow.." she trailed off. j.r. felt a tug and his feet followed the tug. on autopilot he backed into maggie's room, not making a sound until the door was shut. "oh my god." j.r. breathed as he walked to maggie's bed and plopped himself down, his head in his shaking hands. "i'm so sorry you had to see that."

•• Widow & Donny ••
AWAKEN BY THE RUNWAY NOISE Suck it up kid assume battle poise ------------------------------------------ ------ Online there was a criminal who went by the Codename of A.Heyward. He was considered to be one of the best hackers in the world and was very wanted man by the law. He was elusive though. He, or she, was essentially untraceable. No one knew anything about this man or woman behind the keyboard. All they knew was that he went by the codename A.Heyward. Now, there were many A. Heywards in the country. And even more so in the world. Some of his offenses including robbing over a million dollars from the country's citizens, fractions of pennies from randomized bank accounts. For unknown reason, Heyward had found a way to access the satellites for images, Has broken into computer systems of some of the biggest business in the world. You know how many problems K-Mart has been having? That was partially due to A.Heyward wasting hundreds of thousands of dollars by hacking their system and screwing with their delivery system for fun. He also may have hacked into a major electric company in London, from a computer in New York, and caused a small, teensy city wide black out. But whatever, that they didn't even know that was foul play, they thought that was a normal virus issue. So he never got cred for it, even so he was legend. And he was new, only hit the scene about six years ago. Started smaller but by now, let me tell you, the heads of the mafias, the heads of any powerful organized crime units, they had at least attempted to find him and either bring him down or get him to team with them, but no one knew where he was. He was a ghost. When you search "A.Heyward" in Google. the biggest name you get is actually Jason A. Heyward, the baseball player for the Braves. But a true dork will be able to tell you, A. Heyward stands for Andy Heyward, the man truly credited for creating Inspector Gadget.
------ When Donny Davis was a young kid, his favorite cartoon was Inspector Gadget.
------ He shifted on his feet as Maggie looked over at the two people on the couch getting too comfortable. "behave you two or you're buying me a new couch." Donny smirked slightly, knowing darn well how Wid could get when she wanted something. But then it was JR's turn to reply. "seeing as how technically we're in my bed..." Donny chuckled slightly and looked at Maggie, "He's got a point there..." He said with a shrug looking at the modelesque drug dealer in front of him. Widow, in the mean time was remaining very close to J.R. She did look up as Maggie spoke and smirked slightly, watching as he shut his mouth and turned back to her with the puppy dog look "she makes me sleep on the couch." Widow looked at him, her legs still folded over his lap and raised an eyebrow slightly. She slept on a couch too, she didn't mind it all that much, what else would she expect? She smiled and pretended to pity him, gently pulling his head to her chest in a hug, "Poor baby." she rolled her eyes slightly, men were so easy, she loved it. JR was harder than most but she knew even he would succumb to her eventually. She was Widow Hughes after all.
------ Back over to Maggie and Donny as he had given her the special flash drive present. You see, the mini-disc was the information she needed, the flash drive was a virus. He smiled as she said she would make sure not to hook in into a computer on a network her own computer was on. "It's pretty much a chain bomb." He said plainly, "It'll blow the hard drive on any computer connected to it in anyway." He added, he was sort of proud of it, "Basically, it's a last resort of covering your tracks... or a way to watch people freak out which is always kind of fun." He added with a bit of a chuckle. He really did enjoy his control over technology. He nodded and cleared his throat before reminding her, "It's only got one hit since it kills itself in the process, and the way networking works in the modern world, it'll take out a lot of hard drives so... don't blow it." He said. He loved it, he had like three more of it kept in a locked casing in his room. He had had a lot of fun using something similar in K-Mart a few years ago, screwed up their delivery system something bad. That was a test though. This was the finished product. He smirked as she said he rocked, "hell no you aren't getting three. you're getting five. just because i love you today." He nodded, and shrugged smugly. "Works for me." "but don't think that overcompensating for your job will get you a bonus every time. you just caught me on a good day." He nodded and leaned down slightly as Maggie had taken the small mini dics of info and placed it into the computer, "Wouldn't dream of it my dear. " he replied as the computer loaded up the images.
------ Then the air in the room changed fairly quickly as Maggie laid her eyes on the face on the screen. Of course Donny didn't know who the fuck they were and he didn't really care but it was clear from the look on her face, Maggie did quite a bit. He watched as she stood and swerved her body infront of the screen so that had JR been looking, the screen was blocked. The two on the couch weren't really paying attention to the business side of things. "well m'dear your definition of innocence and mine might be completely different. ever think of that?" Wid laughed slightly and let her hand lay gently on his shoulder near his neck, skin on skin felt nice, "I considered it, and then rejected it. My definition's the only one that really matters, after all." And how true was that in Widow's mind on pretty much everything? Exactly. To her, When she's right she's right. PLain and simple. "since we are in public, it's probably best my shorts stay on." Wid grinned and shrugged a little, a dark brown curl bouncing slightly off her shoulder at the movement, "Public can be very kinky..." she began, "But since we're in front of your sister, you might be right for the moment." She added with laughter in her voice. Despite past circumstances, she really was very against incest in all forms including voyeur. Her flirtatious smile came back as his hand remained on her thigh as they spoke a bit heated when they both heard Maggie's voice behind them, "wid you two are seriously grossing me out. get him out of here please." Wid pushed off the couch and stood up, grabbing his hand, "No objections here," She replied winking at Maggie. She could tell maggie was serious about something, but seeing as she knew maggie well she had a feeling it was something more than JR and Wid on the couch.
------ Everything was going to be fine until JR saw the screen of the small laptop computer and his rage blew up. Donny stood up and took a deep breath as the guy yelled at Maggie about the images, again, he really didn't know what they were talking about but neither did Widow who was standing behind JR. Widow watched casually with a slightly raised eyebrow as JR asked his sister if she knew, calling her Magdelena. She couldn't help but find that slightly amusing, simply because she was so used to her as Maggie. The thing about the Corinthos and the Sirens was just they were used to things. And maybe this was different for JR. and Maggie specifically but Widow couldn't have blinked twice at the anger. Emotions always ran high around the underworld, especially anger, greed, and lust. "i'm sorry, but you need to go calm down. widow.." Widow looked up at the mention of her name and took that as her cue, she took the slightly stunned look JR with the red cheek from the hand his sister had placed across his face just a moment ago, into the other room, leading him by his arm gently. She let go as he sat down on the edge of the bed and she shut the door behind her, leaning her back against it as she looked over at him, his head in his hands. "i'm so sorry you had to see that." She shook her head, "I know right? I mean, Magdelena? Did I just forget that was her name or something? Why haven't I been mocking her?" She asked incredulously, half joking. She then looked as though she realized something, "Them again, she knows my real name so... can't talk." She added with a small smile looking over at him. She walked over to him and bent her legs up to kneel on the bed next to him, "Oh... you meant the angry outburst thing. Please... you forgetting who I am?" She asked getting behind him and placing her hands on his shoulders, massaging them slightly, "I won't ask you to tell me." she added honestly, although she was curious.
------ Donny watched as the door to the backroom was shut and raised an eyebrow, "You sure that's safe, that's your bed in there and anger tends to turn Wid on..." He asked half worried. He wasn't that shaken by the scene. He could tell Maggie and of course JR definitely took this seriously. That was a big difference maybe with Sirens. By puberty the whole lot of them were too jaded to care about their jobs much at all. It was a fun, it was a pass time and when things went wrong, they kept going at it, but not as determined soldiers, more like an army of the undead. They all had their moments though, maybe this was one of them. You could see the emotion in both Maggie's face and JR's face when they saw the faces on the pictures DOnny had assembled.

MAGGIE AND J.R CORINTHOSVALK STREETS, CORINTHOS CONDO, SEPTEMBER 2007 -----j.r. corinthos was never one to blow up. he didn't do it at sporting events, he never lost his head around his father, he never lost it around any member of his family, etc. if you looked at him you would see the biggest teddy bear of all time. little did anyone know that teddy bears exploded with the right trigger. he looked like a guy that could rip you apart with his bare hands, yes, but after getting to know j.r. a little better seeing him as such always kind of felt ridiculous. you'd see him hugging small children, literally helping old women across the street with their bags, and all that kind of boy scout crap. j.r. was almost famous for it. he made the entire corinthos family look bad with his kindness. even his younger sister bella couldn't compare and she was completely naive about the organization in general. j.r. was a saint, but even a saint had his limits and for j.r. his limit was jose effing castillo. the bastard was a monster, yes, but j.r. hated the man for more than his old tactics way back when. you see jose had been the man in tijuana before juan corinthos had taken over. he'd been the go to drug man with the biggest cartel mexico had ever seen. and yet he'd fallen at the hands of an overly ambitious, careless, thoughtless juan corinthos. maggie would never say it to j.r.'s face, but she understood the means of retaliation and would have expected something like what j.r. had witness almost seventeen years ago. that damned day that he'd gone out for groceries with his mother and come back a bloody and traumatized mess.
-----he had been four at the time. the face of innocence you could say. it was long before he appeared intimidating, a long time before children cowered behind their mothers in fear of the very look of him. this was back when j.r. was young and impressionable, and innocent. he liked to always claim that he was the epitome of innocence, he had in fact said it to widow once or twice already, but the truth was that back then he actually fit the bill. it wasn't until that day that something inside j.r. broke, something that had been hidden by years of repression for fear of turning into his father, but it was something nonetheless. he had been four years old and had been out with his mother grocery shopping. it was back before juan thought to protect his family and not give them bodyguards. it was back when he was running the business himself and was completely reckless about anything and everything he touched. anyways, paulina and j.r. had gone out grocery shopping which in a sense was simply walking around the outdoor market and seeing what smelled the freshest. j.r. loved to go out with his mother. she was like an idol to him and he adored her just like any good momma's boy should. he would walked around with her, trailing on her heels as they walked from booth to booth, testing the fruit with their fingers, smelling the garden fresh aroma. shopping wasn't like the ways american's did it here. j.r. found that in the states, everything was rushed. you frantically ran around a store heaping together necessities without knowing a thing about them. shopping was an art. it took time and diligence and more than just scrambling around playing the shopping cart indy 500.
-----real shopping, or shopping back in mexico, was a lot different from that. you took your time, chose quality product, and you may have even conversed with the owner of the booth to talk about farming or life in general. things were a lot more leisurely back in tijuana. the day had been like any other, going around to booths, grabbing the foods paulina liked the most, and walking away from the outdoor market with two big brown paper bags of food. they'd walked to the car where they'd been surrounded by jose's men. dropping her bags to the ground as she saw their guns, paulina pushed j.r. behind her, trying to shelter him from the situation as much as possible. j.r. had been took scared to listen to a lot of the chatter, but he specifically remembered his mother saying something that upset jose, watching as the man lifted his gun, pointing it at his mother's head, his whole body jumping at the sound bang and watching as his mother fell to the ground. he remembered the red spurts of blood that covered his body, staining his shirt and smearing across his face. he remembered looking up at that smug face as jose looked him dead in the eyes before walking away with his body guards in tow. he remembered being brought to the police station, his father coming and hearing the news, taking his son from the police headquarters to bring him home and clean him up. he remembered juan not being able to physically touch him because he was coated in the blood of the woman juan had loved and who had died because he had not protected her. he remembered it all and seeing that smug ass face on the hacker's computer had been the exact trigger to bring it all back. like a rush j.r. felt everything. he felt the fear, the anguish, the night terrors, the repressed anger, the darkness within himself. everything just brought itself to light at once.
-----maggie knew the moment j.r. saw jose castillo's face he'd crack. it was why she'd tried to hide the computer screen from him. usually if she hadn't been so caught off guard, maggie would have been a lot more stealthy about it. she would have hidden it in such a way that j.r. would have been clueless and remained clueless until maggie said otherwise. but she'd been caught off guard and she'd stumbled. she'd made a mistake and now j.r. was reeling. great. just fucking great. she looked over at donny as he questioned her and just chuckled, a slight hint of nervousness to her voice, "them in my bed is the least of my worries. i can always sterilize the place and get a new mattress and box spring. it's him i'm worried about and if wid can distract him...well..." maggie let the sentence fall where it was. donny would know exactly what she was implying. "i can't believe it's castillo. j.r. knowing is bad enough. if my father finds out he'll be back here in no time and he'll drench valkyrie's streets in blood just looking for him." maggie walked over to the computer and blanked the screen. she couldn't look at it any more. "thank you donny. you've really gone above and beyond." she heaved a big sigh, running her fingers through her hair. "you want something to drink?" she offered as she walked away from the computer and walked into the open kitchen.
-----back in maggie's bedroom, j.r. sat upon his sister's bed, his head in his hands and he sat in disbelief. how in the hell could he blow up like that, and to his sister no less? widow was extremely cavalier about the whole thing, something that didn't in fact set him off more, but had calmed him down slightly. hell, she'd even made him chuckle, kind of. "mock all you want." he said as he watched her kneel onto the bed, somehow his mood changing completely from rage to...hunger? since when...? "not at all." he relaxed as he felt her hands massaging his shoulders. though this sort of thing was just what he needed, it was kind of not what he needed. she was after all his sister's best friend. he had known her since...jeez. "he's the bastard who killed my mother." j.r. said, despite widow's words. "he shot her right in front of my eyes when i was four years old before he disappeared. my father's been hunting him for years and here he is?" he shook his head in disbelief, a sigh wrenching from his chest as he slid his hands to cover hers. he turned slightly to actually look her in the eyes as he spoke, "thank you." he said as he picked up one of her hands and pressed a gentle kiss to her knuckles.

•• Widow & Donny ••
AWAKEN BY THE RUNWAY NOISE Suck it up kid assume battle poise ------------------------------------------ ------ Donald Davis was different from the other Rebel Sirens, as Izzy had dubbed them. The group of them consisted of Liz Hughes, who started it all by killing Darren Jr., Orion Hughes, now Widow Hughes, Donny Davis and Izzy Davis. Very recently they introduced Jasper and Olivia Richardson into that group as well. The thing was that separated Donny from the others was that he never had that one defining life changing moment. I mean, I guess in a way his life was changed by the Liz drama but nothing really twisted that happened to him that drove him to be who he was. He was born into a rather vicious street gang, he was nerdier and picked on. But that was his whole life. He was used to it. He could not think back and remember one moment where everything changed for him. For Liz, it was when she was fourteen and Darren raped her. For Orion, it was when he was fifteen and Marcus Hughes and five other 22-26 years olds jumped and beat the shit out of him. For Izzy it was when she was eight and Darren jr. touched her that caused her to repress the memories and remain cheerful in order to keep them down. Donny didn't have that. Even Jasper did, his mom dying and him coming to live with them. Donny didn't have random faces that would set him off. He didn't have a vengeful motivation behind what he did. Out of the group, it really was only Donny, that felt like he was born to do what the Sirens had started him out in.
------ Widow had her moment, and it was something no one knew about. Not Donny, not even Maggie. And they wouldn't ever know if Widow had any say in the matter because she was confused by the issue on her own. She hadn't wanted it, she had said no. She had pushed him away and he kept on it but she did not try her hardest to break away from him. Part of her allowed it happen so what did that mean? Was it consensual? or was it... whatever. Wid tried not to think about it since she always came out of it disgusted and needing to vomit. Maybe that was what had inspired her to try to change her life and Liz had given her the excuse? The only problem was now, Her dad was dead. He was a demon on Earth. Wid now knew what he had done to Liz, she knew what he had done to Izzy which made Wid even sicker. She knew what her father had done to Jasper so many years ago. She had seen his scars still remained from that day. You see, when Widow was younger, she was fierce but she wasn't nearly so cold hearted to people, some even called her a sweetheart back then. Her father hated that, so later she changed but at that age, it was who she was. Jasper had come to live with the Sirens after his mother died. He was a Richardson, the last of the allied families. And Apart from the head of the family and his successor, also known as Jasper's father and oldest half brother, they weren't allowed to be more than friends with the top Hughes family. Friends yes, but nothing more. Why didn't make sense to anyone but those who grew up in this sort of system or knew a lot about Siren history and internal politics. But despite the head of the Richardson's being third in command, It was tradition pretty much. So when the new Richardson kid, who everyone was mean to shared in a first kiss with a little girl he called Wendy, and her father saw it? He attacked the young boy viciously.
------ When Widow saw those scars still on his back from that day so long ago, Wendy came out again, just for a bit, but she was awake for a moment. And it was her most human moment in a long time. Even know, after that emotional display, it was hard for Widow to try to be that comforting shoulder. She just couldn't do it. She will never be the girl most come to with they're problems. Some people liked that about her though. She knew Donny appreciated that she never went easy on him, or treated him differently when he was having a bad day. She internally smiled as J.R. had seemed to calm down as she enjoyed his muscles from behind. Widow wasn't even incredibly into muscles, she liked them like every other girl on the planet but they weren't what she tended to appreciate the most on a guys body. She was a face girl. Guy has an ugly face, she can't be attracted to them. But for some reason the real buff-ness (minus that crazy buff with veins popping out) that J.R. had going on was sexy as hell to her. And they tended to be her focus with him. She felt him relax a bit and she smiled again a little bit before he began to tell her what happened. "he's the bastard who killed my mother." Wid didn't make an outward action but her insides paused. Mother's were a sore topic with her. She had never met hers, died in child birth ((or so she thinks)) and her dad's depression over the loss of her was one of the reasons part of her let him...
------ Nevermind. It didn't matter. "he shot her right in front of my eyes when i was four years old before he disappeared. my father's been hunting him for years and here he is?" Widow moved her hands down to get to some of the back muscles, tilting her head to side slightly, letting her hair fall over her shoulder. "Valkyrie, California must be cursed, everything seems to happen here." She replied plainly, and she was not even close to being kidding. She stopped as he turned towards her, taking her hand. She looked a little confused, as he thanked her sweetly and then actually kissed her knuckles. She took a deep breath as all of a sudden Widow felt awkward from the sincerity in the room. Her brain immediately went to work telling her to leave or to get it back into a more light, sarcastic or heated air. She used his turned body and shifted her own, leaving her hand in his as she threw a leg over his, straddling his lap as they sat on the edge of the bed, "You know, there are better ways to thank a girl." She added raising an eyebrow and snaking her arms around his neck.
------ Back out in the main room of the apartment, Donny was only slightly curious about the outburst but it would be easy for him to walk away without knowing. Over active curiosity was never one of Donny's traits, unlike Izzy who would want to know every detail of what had just happened. "them in my bed is the least of my worries. i can always sterilize the place and get a new mattress and box spring. it's him i'm worried about and if wid can distract him...well..." Donny smirked at Maggie's little remark at the end and nodded, leaning back on the counter, "Yeah she's usually good at distracting. It was sort of her job back in the day." He replied, referring to the days where they were actually working for the Sirens still. "Of course though without her usual finishing touch" finishing touch of death, hence the nickname of Widow. But face it, she was far from the first Siren female to realize how easily some men can be distracted by a little ass and left vulnerable. "i can't believe it's castillo. j.r. knowing is bad enough. if my father finds out he'll be back here in no time and he'll drench valkyrie's streets in blood just looking for him." Donny nodded, "Yeah... blood... not good..." He nodded again as she thanked him and stood up straighter as she asked about the drink. "Yeah sure. whatever you got." He gave a thoughtful look as walked towards the kitchen, turning his body to follow her direction. "You know, if what I helped you with, does turn into an exceptionally large case, my name can't be used." He said plainly, "its just we're in a tricky situation right now and none of us can be on the map." He knew Maggie was too smart to release names to randoms and before the job was over but usually news in the gang world of who did what jobs after they're completed spreads like wildfire. Since Donny and Izzy were low level deserters it was fine, but if the Sirens found Liz and found out they helped? Yeah bad idea.

MAGGIE AND J.R CORINTHOSVALK STREETS, CORINTHOS CONDO, SEPTEMBER 2007 -----family in general was hard for j.r. it wasn't because he didn't like his family, he loved them, but the situations they put him in had things really really hard to bear at times. j.r. wanted things to be normal. he couldn't remember the last time all the kids played on a swing set outside or they ate a meal together at the kitchen table. in fact he couldn't remember eating a meal with every member around the kitchen table...well...ever. maybe that was a good thing. maybe it was better to have never had those familial ties. maybe it was easier to see his family this way then to have seen them fallen apart later on in his life. would he have been able to bear it? would he have been able to sit around and watch his father hanging out in the living room with a daughter sitting on each knee, the boys playing with toys down by his feet as maggie's mother watched with a smile on her face? god it sounded completely out of the question. there was no way that could have ever happened. for one thing, sofia mitchell had absolutely hated juan corinthos for knocking her up and forcing her to stay in mexico. she had just been in tijuana for the fun, a simple spring break bash before her last year of college. what did she end up with? a pregnancy with a man who would no sooner shoot his enemy right in front of her face. why had she married the man for christs sake! why had she been stupid enough to get knocked up again? maybe it was a case of stockholm syndrome? she had after all been a captive in his home hadn't she? maggie had been the reason for that and j.r. was damn sure than juan or sofia both blamed her for that. as if it had been her fault in the first place. ha. j.r. knew why juan liked to blame other people but sofia? not a clue.
-----he didn't like thinking about that day. of all the memories in his past, it was his mother's death that he could remember most. everything before that was lost, a victim to the trauma he assumed. it came up every time j.r. tried to think about his past. even if it had nothing remotely to do with his mother's death something or someone always cause his mind to retract and there he was again, looking up at his mother as the little silver bullet whizzed into her skull and sprayed blood and guts all over his line of vision. that was not the way a person wanted to remember their family but it sounded like the beginnings of a corinthos curse. paulina had died that way, maggie probably would too. j.r.'s only hope was that that would be his father's fate. the man that had put them through hell and taken every semblance of a real, normal life from them deserved every torturous means of death a person could think of. j.r. was pretty sure that he was a little too sensitive for widow. after all she wasn't the teddy bear lover type of woman, or so he'd assumed. j.r. was all heart and widow was the type that wanted nothing to do with the heart. he was probably making this more awkward by the moment, but he didn't really care. he shouldn't have been surprised when she threw her leg over his lap and settled herself in the crook of his body, but silly boy that he was he was still surprised. "yeah you're probably right." he swallowed, not nervous, but damn it he knew where this could lead. he was treading in dangerous waters and right now he didn't care. still part of him knew this was wrong. but since everything else told him this was right...
-----he slid his hands up her arms, sliding over her shoulders as they spread over her back. he looked up into her eyes for a moment. did this mean anything to him? was he even sure? was this just a way to forget about what had just happened? did he care? "aw hell." he said gruffly as he straightened his back and pulled her body into his, his lips finally pressing to hers in a hungry kiss.
-----maggie sighed as she walked into the kitchen, grabbing two small glasses and the warm-ish bottle of tequila from inside the cabinet. the bottle was half full and probably would have remained that way had all of this not happened today. maggie wasn't a big drinker. well she kept telling herself that but it certainly didn't appear that way at the moment. "hope you don't mind, it's the strongest thing we've got." just the thought that this could turn into her worst nightmare was already starting to sink in. god could she not get it easy? could she not for once have a yellow brick road that pointed her in the right direction? she wanted one. damn did she ever want one. maggie walked back over to donny, setting down the glasses. she poured him the right amount and gave herself a double. she smirked at him as he started talking about the future. yeah he didn't want to say it out loud but donny was assuming the worst as he probably should. with juan corinthos and jose castillo in the same general area...well things were likely to implode. "of course. this is all hush hush." she took a sip and felt that wonderful burn down her throat. automatically it calmed her. "trust me i can understand that. you don't have to worry with me." she looked over at donny and smirked. "besides, if i let people in on your mad skills i'll have to fight for your attention and i can't have that."
